Aamir’s Son Junaid’s Debut Film ‘Maharaj’ First Glimpse

Actor Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, is all set to make his acting debut with the upcoming film ‘Maharaj’.

Produced by Yash Raj Entertainment, the makers on Thursday unveiled the film’s poster and a short glimpse into the world of ‘Maharaj’.

Taking to Instagram, OTT platform Netflix shared the poster of the film star they captioned, “A powerful man with secrets to hide. A journalist’s fight to uncover the truth. Maharaj is coming soon only on Netflix!”

The makers also unveiled a collage video of their upcoming projects, including Vaani Kapoor’s ‘Mandala Murders’, ‘Maharaj’, and Anupam Kher’s ‘Vijay 69’, that features short glimpses of the films.

“Grab your popcorn- YRF and Netflix are bringing you THREE new blockbusters that are all different, but just as entertaining!! Vijay 69, Mandala Murders and Maharaj are coming soon, only on Netflix!!,” Netflix caption reads.

‘Maharaj’ also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari and Shalini Pandey. The film has been directed by Siddharth P Malhotra, whose last film was Hichki.

The film’s logline reads, Inspired by true events, ‘Maharaj’ is an incredible David vs Goliath story. Set in the 1800s, it narrates how a regular man, journalist by profession, takes on a powerful role model of society, hailed by many as a messiah for the masses. The fearless reporter wields his pen to go toe-to-toe with this spotless figure of the community in a bid to uncover a series of incidents that shake the very foundation of society.

The period drama is an ode to mankind’s spirit to do good, to pursue and discover truth at any cost and to fight for humanity. It shows how one person’s will to affect positive social change can triumph over all evil and bring those in power to justice, as per the press release from the film’s PR team.

Director Siddharth P Malhotra said in a statement from the PR team, “Set in the 1800s, Maharaj is a film that is inspired by true events. It is a film that shows the resilience of human spirit and how a common man could wield the courage to help people around him and thus, help society at large. The official release date of ‘Maharaj’ is still awaited.

Aamir Rescued From Chennai Floods, Actor Vishnu Vishal Shares Pics

Actor Aamir Khan was stuck in flood-stricken Chennai. He was later rescued with help from the fire and rescue department of the state government.

Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal, who was stranded in Karapakkam, Chennai, shared the update.

“Thanks to the fire and rescue department in helping people like us who are stranded. Rescue operations have started in karapakkam..Saw 3 boats functioning already. Great work by TN govt in such testing times. Thanks to all the administrative people who are working relentlessly,” Vishal said in a post on X.

He shared two pictures where boats were deployed to rescue people. Aamir can also be seen in the pictures.

Aamir reportedly shifted his base from Mumbai to Chennai temporary a while ago to be with his mother.

Vishnu previously revealed that he was stuck in his house in Chennai with no electricity and network. He also revealed that water had entered his house. Sharing photos of the damage, Vishnu wrote, “Water is entering my house and the level is rising badly in Karapakkam. I have called for help. No electricity, no wifi, No phone signal, Nothing. Only on terrace at a particular point i get some signal. Lets hope i and so many here get some help[?] I can feel for people all over chennai.”

Public life was severely affected in the capital city of Tamil Nadu as heavy rains lashed several parts of the city. Several areas, including Wallajah Road, Mount Road, Anna Salai, Chepauk, area near Omandurar government multispecialty hospital and other low-lying areas were inundated due to persistent heavy rainfall.

Amid destruction caused by Severe Cyclonic storm ‘Michaung’ in the state, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin today said that the rainfall received during the Cyclone period has exceeded what the state received in 2015.

Addressing a press conference, the Tamil Nadu chief minister said, “Even after receiving historical rains, the damage is less compared to the previous times. The rains received during Cyclone Michaung exceeded what we received in 2015 when the floods were artificial due to the release of water from Sembarambakkam Lake but now it is a natural flood.”

Eight people have died and multiple roads and subways are closed due to waterlogging in Chennai.

The police also added that many families including pregnant women, children, and senior citizens were rescued from different areas. Around 17 subways including the Ganesapuram Subway, Gengureddy Subway, Sembium (Perambur), Villivakkam and Duraisamy Subway are closed due to water logging, the police said. (ANI)

Actor Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan is all set to be a bride soon. She shared pictures and videos featuring her fiance Nupur Shikhare from the wedding festivities.

Taking to Instagram, Ira treated fans with a new glimpse of her wedding festivities.

Along with the post, she wrote, “Kelvan 2! Ukhana 2! I love him so so much.”

Ira is seen dressed in a red saree and she accentuated her look with floral jewelry, while her beau Nupur Shikhare wore a yellow kurta-payjama set.

Her mom Rina Dutta is also seen in the pictures.

As soon as the pictures were uploaded, Ira’s friends chimed in the comment section.

Aamir shares daughter Ira with his ex-wife Reena Dutta. Aamir and Kiran got married on December 28, 2005. They welcomed their first son, Azad, through surrogacy in 2011.

Aamir Attends Book Launch With Ex-Wives

Actor Aamir Khan on Monday attended the book launch event of his cousin brother Mansoor Khan along with his ex-wives Reena Dutta, Kiran Rao and his elder son Junaid.

Several pictures and videos from the event went viral on social media in which both his ex-wives could be seen sharing a laugh together.

Kiran wore a long green dress under a blue shirt while Reena opted for a black and white outfit. 

Aamir married Reena Dutta in 1986. The two, who share a daughter Ira and a son Junaid Khan, divorced after 16 years of marriage.

Junaid will reportedly be making his acting debut soon. An official announcement of his first film is still awaited.

Ira, on the other hand, got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Nupur Shikhare, on November 18 last year in the presence of close friends and family members.

The engagement ceremony saw the Khan family beaming joyfully from Imran Khan, Aamir’s ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao to actor Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Aamir and Kiran got married on December 28, 2005. They welcomed their first son, Azad, through surrogacy in 2011.

They announced their separation last year, after 15 years of marriage.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Aamir was last seen in the romantic drama film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film failed to impress the audience at the box office.

Aamir Is All Set For Meditation Course In Kathmandu

It’s meditation time for actor Aamir Khan. On Sunday morning, the actor visited Kathmandu to undergo 11 days Vipassana meditation course.

He will stay at the Nepal Vipassana Centre in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, for at least 11 days. It is one of Kathmandu’s most prominent meditation centres, located on the outskirts of the city. It provides 10-day meditation classes.
Talking to ANI, Rup Jyoti an official from the Vipashna Center in Nepal said, “Yes he is here to undergo 11 days Vipashna meditation. He has already been enrolled in the session from today. From airport he directly came to Budhanilkantha and started the session.”

Aamir previously had arrived in Kathmandu to attend an event of UNICEF in 2014.

Recently, Aamir attended the National conclave ‘Mann Ki Baat @100’ organised by the Information & Broadcasting Ministry to celebrate 100 episodes of PM Modi’s programme.

The ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ actor lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his innovative approach to communicating with the people of the country.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Aamir was last seen in Laal Singh Chaddha alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film didn’t manage to impress the audience. The film landed into a lot of controversies during its release.

Recently, Aamir decided to take a break from acting.
