The local administration on Monday demolished the illegal constructions of the accused who were seen in a viral video tying a leash around a man’s neck and asking him to bark like a dog in order to humiliate him in Bhopal.

A disturbing video surfaced on social media in the state capital in which some youths can be seen torturing a man by putting a leash around his neck and asking him to behave like a dog. They were also asking him to “bark like a dog.”
The incident occurred under Teela Jamalpura police station limits in Bhopal city on May 9. But the video of the incident went viral on social media on Monday.

Speaking to ANI, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said, “As soon as the matter came to my notice, I gave instructions to take action within 24 hours. The police took quick action and the accused have also been arrested.”

“The National Security Act (NSA) has also been invoked against the accused in the case. Along with this, the encroachment has been identified and action has also been taken to demolish it,” Mishra said, adding that the police station in-charge of Teela Jamalpur PS has also been line-attached.

MP Chouhan To Distribute Plots

MP: Chouhan To Distribute Plots Worth Rs 120 Cr To Poor

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday said he would provide plots to poor families who do not have a place to live, free of cost, under the Mukhyamantri Bhu-Awasiya Adhikar Yojana (Chief Minister Land Residential Rights Scheme).

Plots worth Rs 120 crore will be distributed to 10,500 beneficiary families in Madhya Pradesh’s Tikamgarh district on Wednesday.
CM Chouhan made the announcement during his address at the cabinet meeting in the state capital Bhopal on Tuesday.

Chouhan said, “During my visits to Tikamgarh for an election campaign, some residents of a village had stopped me to narrate their problems. They said about 50 to 60 people are forced to live in a small houses as there is no place to sleep. The reason for the problem is that the family has expanded but the place of residence has remained the same. Due to poverty, extended families do not even have plots of their own and, hence, cannot get the benefit of the housing scheme.”

“Therefore, I had thought of implementing a scheme through which free plots will be provided to poor families, who do not have a place to live. They will be able to build their own houses on these plots and will also be able to take advantage of other government schemes,” he added.

Chouhan added, “Under the scheme, the land will be leased in the name of the husband and wife. They will not have to pay any premium and will get the plots completely free of cost. Along with the plot, they will also get the benefits of other schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY). The general size of the plot will be 600 sq feet. The scheme will be extended to other districts as well.” (ANI)

mp Cong Spokesperson Saluja Joins BJP

MP Cong Spokesperson Saluja Joins BJP

Madhya Pradesh Congress Spokesperson Narendra Saluja on Friday joined Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the state capital Bhopal.

Welcoming Saluja into the BJP family, Chouhan said his arrival will strengthen the party. “He is a leader who put his point on the basis of facts and logic. Now, he will be with Bhartiya Janata Party. I congratulate him. He should work hard for the party and contribute to the nation-building,” Chouhan said.
Saluja said, “I am grateful that the party has given me a place to serve. I have been working with Kamal Nath for the last five years. Many people have said that Kamal Nath was accused in the 1984 Sikh riots but I thought they have been speaking because of political differences.”

“But on November 8, when I accompanied him for a visit to Khalsa College, Indore on the occasion of Gurunanak Jayanti, the truth came to the fore and it disturbed me a lot. It has opened my eyes. I cannot work with a person accused of killing people of my religion. I cannot work with such an organization,” Saluja said.

Saluja further said, “Since November 8, I have neither shared any post related to Congress on social media nor attended any program. Even I neither meet Kamal Nath nor wished him on his birthday. After that incident, I decided that I can not work with the party and joined the BJP. Whatever responsibility will be given by the party, I will work for it wholeheartedly.”

Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Congress Media cell KK Mishra, however, said that Saluja was expelled from the party on November 13. He was also suspended from the party in the past. Mishra alleged that he had proof that Saluja was working for the BJP while being in the Congress party. (ANI)
