Ufff: Kiara Reacts To Sid’s ‘Yodha’ Look

Makers of the upcoming action thriller film ‘Yodha’ starring Sidharth Malhotra on Tuesday unveiled two new posters of the film.

Taking to Instagram, Sidharth shared the poster which he captioned, “Gear up for a touchdown full of action & thrill! Fasten your seatbelts, #Yodha will be landing on 15th March 2024.”

Sidharth’s wife and actor Kiara Advani re-shared the posters on her Instagram stories and shared her excitement.

Sharing the post she added four heart eye emoticons.

In the poster, Sidharth exudes confidence and intensity. The first poster depicts him in uniform, clutching a gun against a backdrop of an aeroplane. The other poster depicts him in the middle of a fight, wearing a plain white T-shirt with some dust on it and wielding a broken glass bottle, ready to strike his opponent.

Kiara also commented on Sidharth’s post and wrote, “Ufff.”

Talking about ‘Yodha’, the film stars Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Rashii Khanna in the lead roles. The film has been postponed multiple times. Earlier the film was first scheduled to release on November 11, 2022, post that the makers pushed the release date to July 2023, then the makers decided to postpone the film to September 15. Then, changed to December 15. Then it was shifted to December 8. Now, the film is set to release on March 15, 2024.

Apart from this, Sidharth will also be making his digital debut with the upcoming web series ‘Indian Police Force’.

Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the web series is all set to stream on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video from January 19. (ANI)

National Film Award Bestowed Upon SS Rajamouli, MM Keeravani

Ace music composer MM Keeravani was felicitated with the National Award on Tuesday.

President Droupadi Murmu presented the award to Keeravani at the ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in the capital. Keeravani won the Best Background Score for director SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’.

Keeravani’s son Kaala Bhairava, too, bagged the award at the 69th National Film Awards.

Kaala Bhairava won best playback singer for the song ‘Komuram Bheemudo’.

This year has been extremely special for ‘RRR’ team as the ‘Naatu Naatu’ song became the first Indian song ever to win the Golden Globes for Best Original Song. Later, it won the ‘Best Original Song’ at the 95th Academy Awards.

SS Rajamouli was also present at the 69th National Film Awards. His film bagged six awards at the ceremony.

The film also won the award for Special effects for Srinivas Mohan, choreography for Prem Rakshith and action direction for King Solomon.

‘RRR’ won an award in the category Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment as well. Rajamouli received the award for this category.

Released in 2022, ‘RRR’ is a fictional story based on the lives of two Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Ram Charan and Jr NTR played lead roles, respectively. The film collected over Rs 1,200 crore worldwide. Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran also starred in the film. (ANI)

Rajinikanth’s First Look From ‘Thalaivar 170’ Out Now

Makers of Rajinikanth starrer ‘Thalaivar 170’ unveiled the first look of the superstar on Wednesday.

The Official page of Lyca Productions took to X to unveil the first look of the superstar.

They wrote, “Lights Camera Clap & ACTION. With our Superstar @rajinikanth and the stellar cast of Thalaivar 170 the team is all fired up and ready to roll! Hope you all enjoyed the Thalaivar feast. Now it’s time for some action! We’ll come up with more updates as the shoot progresses.”

In the monochrome picture, Rajinikanth is dressed in a black suit, a black shirt, and black sunglasses.

TJ Gnanavel directs Thalaivar 170. After 32 years, Amitabh Bachchan will reunite with star Rajinikanth in this film.

Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, Tushara Vijayan, Rana Daggubati, and Fahadh Faasil have also been cast as extras.

Rajinikanth is expected to play a retired police officer in the film. Earlier, he was seen leaving the Chennai airport on his way to Kochi to shoot his next film.

“I am going for the next movie shooting. ‘Jailer’ movie is more successful than what we expected. 170th movie is directed by T J Gnanavel. It is Produced by LYCA which would be a big entertainment movie with a message. The title for the movie is yet to be decided,” he said at the time.

Rajinikanth was recently seen in ‘Jailer,’ which was a worldwide box-office hit. He plays a man seeking to avenge the death of his cop son in ‘Jailer’. Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, and Jackie Shroff are in important cameos. (ANI)

When I Was In College, I Already Started Working: Vikrant

Actor Vikrant Massey is all set to come up with his upcoming film ‘12th Fail’.

Sharing incidents about his student life Vikrant told ANI, “I wish I had more time for my student journey because when I was a student and got admission to college, I was already working. I could not spend much time in college but somehow I managed to graduate. I have very few memories of the classroom.”

He added, “My college principal understood my financial condition and supported me. I continued appearing from the college without any correspondence.”

About the film, he said, “12th Fail is everyone’s story, as you must have seen in the tagline. This is inspired by millions of true stories, this is a big responsibility. The kind of stories I do are mostly the stories of common people and you will see the same in this movie. We create people’s stories and try to be the language of the people.”

Earlier, Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s production house took to their Instagram handle and treated fans with an interesting motion poster.

He wrote, “In the journey of life, it’s not about where you start, but how you restart. Zero se kar #Restart! Watch #12thFail in cinemas on 27th October – inspired by a million true stories.”

With the launch of the motion poster, the makers also announced that the trailer for the film will be out on October 3.

‘12th Fail’ is based on Anurag Pathak’s best-selling novel, about the incredible journey of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi. The film is also inspired by millions of true stories of students attempting the world’s toughest competitive exam – UPSC.

‘12th Fail’ is set to release worldwide on October 27 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. (ANI)

Salman To Bring ‘Tiger Ka Message’ On Yash Chopra’s Birth Anniv

Get ready to receive a special message from Tiger a.k.a Salman Khan and the makers of the highly anticipated film ‘Tiger 3’.

Taking to Instagram, Salman shared an announcement poster with details on it.

He captioned the post, which read, “Ek message hai. Deta hoon…KAL.#TigerKaMessageKal11AM

As soon as Salman posted this news, fans and followers flooded then comment section.

One of the users wrote, “Love you Bhai, finally. TIGER3 MANIA FROM TOMORROW.”

Another commented, “Tiger is back.”

“Can’t wait for tiger 3 but over excited for bajrangi bhaijaan 2,” another user comment read.

Fans are expecting for the trailer to be launched tomorrow.

Makers will be launch the special video to pay tribute to the legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra on his birth anniversary on September 27 (Wednesday).

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the details about Tiger’s message on Instagram.

He wrote, “SALMAN KHAN – KATRINA KAIF – ‘TIGER 3’: TIGER KA MESSAGE TOMORROW… ARE YOU READY?… #TigerKaMessage – a prelude to the theatrical trailer of #Tiger3 – will be launched TOMORROW [27 Sept 2023]… At 11 am IST.#SalmanKhan and #KatrinaKaif reunite in this #ManeeshSharma directorial… #Diwali2023 release in #Hindi, #Tamil and #Telugu. #YRF.”

Maneesh Sharma has helmed the film made under YRF banner. Reportedly, it also stars Emraan Hashmi as an antagonist. However, no official announcement of Emraan’s casting has been made yet.

Salman and Katrina will reunite on screen after the 2019 film ‘Bharat’. Prior to it, the duo featured in hits like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya and Partner.

‘Tiger 3’ will hit the theatres this Diwali.

In October, Salman will be seen hosting the 17th season of ‘Bigg Boss’. (ANI)

It’s Wrap For Ajay Devgn-Tabu Starrer ‘Bholaa’

The shooting for Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Bholaa’ has come to an end. On Thursday, Ajay took to Instagram and shared this update with his fans and followers.

“Shooting has wrapped; the post-production frenzy has already begun. Remember, we have a date – March 30th in the theatres,” a post read on Ajay Devgn Ffilms’ Instagram handle.

‘Bholaa’ is an official Hindi remake of the Tamil hit ‘Kaithi’ and Ajay has directed it. It has been styled as the story of a “one-man army, set in one night, fighting a multitude of enemies in various forms, human and otherwise.”

Ajay has helmed the film, which will also feature Tabu, Sanjay Mishra, Deepak Dobrial, Raai Lakshmi, and Makrand Deshpande in prominent roles. It is all set to hit the theatres on March 30, 2023.

Ajay will also be seen in producer Boney Kapoor’s upcoming sports drama film ‘Maidaan’, besides in director Neeraj Pandey’s upcoming film and in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again’ opposite Deepika Padukone. (ANI)

Akshay Calls On Yogi, Discusses Film City Project

Actor Akshay Kumar called on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday.

The actor discussed the much-anticipated Film City project in Uttar Pradesh during his meeting with the CM, who is currently in Mumbai on a two-day visit, at the Taj Hotel.
He also discussed his most recent movie, ‘Ramsetu,’ urging the CM to watch it.

During the meeting, which spanned 35 minutes, Kumar informed the UP CM that there is a great deal of excitement in the Indian film industry around the Film City project. Many big production houses, producers, directors, and actors are waiting for the film city in UP to be up and running, the actor is learned to have told CM Adityanath.

He said the development of a world-class Film and Infotainment City in UP will provide a new option for those in the movie business to plan their projects.

Akshay also discussed with the UP CM the research and preparations that went into the finalizing of the script of ‘Ramsetu’, as he reiterated that Adityanath should watch his film only once.

CM Yogi said cinema has a big role in raising public awareness and filmmakers should give importance to issues of social and national importance while selecting subjects.

He said the film city in UP will be at par with global standards, adding that a new film policy is also being formulated. He also invited the actor to visit Uttar Pradesh. (ANI)

Parineeti To Portray Singer Amarjot In Imtiaz’s Next

Bollywood actor Parineeti Chopra is all set to portray singer Amarjot Kaur in director Imtiaz Ali’s next film.

After a two-year hiatus, director Imtiaz Ali is all set to return to the director’s chair with an upcoming film based on the life of Punjabi singer Amarjot Kaur.
According to a source, the makers of the film are all set to begin the shooting of the project in Mumbai, on December 11.

The official release date of the film is still awaited.

The film marks Parineeti and Imtiaz’s first on-screen collaboration.

Imtiaz Ali last helmed the film ‘Love Aaj Kal’ which starred Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan, and Randeep Hooda in the lead roles which failed to impress the audience at the box office.

Parineeti, on the other hand, was recently seen in the family entertainer film ‘Uunchai’ alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher.

On receiving positive word of mouth about the film, Parineeti said, “I am truly so humbled and honoured at the success of Uunchai, I have gone through many ups and downs in my career but success like this and love from the audience like this just makes you feel that they continue to believe in you and appreciate you. I am going to give a big party very soon to celebrate this love that the audience is giving me.”

Helmed by Sooraj Barjatya, the film got massive responses from the audience and is successfully running at the theatres.

Kangana Begins Shooting For ‘Chandramukhi 2’

Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut, on Monday, began the shooting of her next film ‘Chandramukhi 2’.

Taking to Instagram, Kangana shared a picture of the films’ clapboard on her stories which she captioned, “Started filming for Chandramukhi today.”

Helmed by P Vasu, the film is the sequel to the blockbuster hit Tamil horror comedy film ‘Chandramukhi’ which starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in the lead roles.

In ‘Chandramukhi 2’ Kangana will portray the role of a dancer in the king’s court, who was known for her beauty and dance skills.

Tamil actor Raghava Lawrence will play the lead role opposite Kangana in the film.

The official release date of the film is still awaited.

Meanwhile, Kangana recently wrapped up the Assam schedule of her next period drama film ‘Emergency’ which also marks her first solo directorial film.

‘Emergency’ revolves around the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and features Kangana in the titular role of the late politician.

Apart from Kangana, the film stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Vishak Nair and Shreyas Talpade in prominent roles.

She will be next seen in ‘Tejas’ in which she will be seen portraying the role of an Indian airforce pilot. The official release date of the film is still awaited.

Apart from that, she also has, ‘Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda’, and ‘The Incarnation: Sita’.

ED Questions Vijay Over Funding Of Liger

Enforcement Directorate on Wednesday questioned actor Vijay Deverakonda in connection with the funding of the film ‘Liger’.

According to sources, Vijay was questioned in a case related to an alleged FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999) violation.
Vijay was recently seen in a sports action film ‘Liger’ alongside Ananya Panday which failed to impress the audience at the box office.

Backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film also stars Ramya Krishnan. The film revolves around a young guy, Liger (Vijay) and his widowed mother Balamani (Ramya Krishnan), who have come from Telangana to Mumbai because she wants to see her son become a national MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) champion.

Vijay underwent mixed martial arts training in Thailand while he prepared for his character in Liger. The film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi. Besides Telugu, Vijay has dubbed his lines in Hindi as well. The film marked American boxer Mike Tyson’s Bollywood debut as well.

Meanwhile, the actor is preparing to make a grand comeback from his next Pan-India action thriller, ‘Jana Gana Mana,’ slated to be released in 2023.

Reportedly, the ‘Arjun Reddy’ actor is about to begin shooting for his next film ‘Jana Gana Mana’ with director Puri Jaggannadh.

The ‘World Famous Lover’ will also be seen in an upcoming romantic drama film ‘Khusi’ alongside south actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu, which is all set to hit the theatres on December 23, 2022. (ANI)
