Kapil Hails Kajol As All Time Fav, Sends Wishes For Salaam Venky

The “Comedy King” had nothing but appreciation for the Bollywood diva.

Comedian Kapil Sharma recently expressed his ‘best wishes to “Sapnay” actor Kajol. Taking to his Instagram, the TV host shared some snaps with the 48-year-old from the sets of “The Kapil Sharma Show”.

“Everyone’s favorite @kajol best wishes for #salaamvenky mam”, Kapil wrote.

The two were spotted smiling brightly in the pictures, where Kajol was spotted in a white cardigan with floral prints and Kapil was sporting a purple coloured hoodie.

The “Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon” actor reposted the picture on his Instagram story, accompanied by the song “Zara Sa Jhoom Loon Main” from Kajol’s 1995 hit “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”.

“With my all-time favorite @kajol”, he wrote.

Kajol was quick to notice the appreciative message and replied to it in her own Instagram stories.

“Mine too @kapilsharma you make so many people laugh and smile. It’s a gift,” the “Dilwale” actress wrote.

The comments section was filled with supportive comments from fans and colleagues of the two.

“Paatal Lok” actor Jaideep Ahlawat and Odia actor Sabyasachi Mishra shared their appreciation for the post with heart emojis.

To promote her upcoming film, “Salaam Venky”, Kajol made an appearance at the comedian’s show, which would be broadcast this weekend.

Children’s Day: Kajol Shares Childhood Pics With Tanishaa

On the occasion of Children’s day, actor Kajol shared a throwback picture with her sister Tanishaa Mukerji to celebrate the occasion.

Taking to her Instagram, Kajol dropped a childhood picture featuring her little sister.
In the picture, Kajol is seen holding Tanishaa in her arms with a goofy expression.

Sharing the picture, she wrote, “Happy Children’s Day to the kid in me…Stay mad, stay bad, stay you..You are perfect just the way you are.”

Extending wishes on Children’s day, Ajay Devgn also posted a video to wish his kids- Yug and Nysa, and fans on social media.

In the video, Ajay is seen delivering his famous dialogue ‘aata majhi satakli’ from the movie ‘Singham’ with the contestant of the reality show.

Sharing the video, he wrote,” Experiencing the unfiltered honesty of a child is so refreshing. Do take time out to always listen to your child and even children otherwise. Happy Children’s Day. PS: Love you Yug and Nysa.”

In India, Children’s Day is celebrated on November 14 every year as a mark of respect to Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India. Nehru was fondly called ‘Chacha Nehru’ and was known for emphasizing the importance of giving love and affection to children. After the death of Nehru, it was unanimously decided to celebrate his birthday as ‘Bal Diwas’ or Children’s Day in India.

Nehru was born on November 14, 1889, in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj. He breathed his last on May 27, 1964. He became the prime minister on August 15, 1947, following an active role in the freedom struggle of the country.

On this day, a number of activities are organized for students in schools nationwide such as games, competitions, and so on, while government bodies pay tributes to the late prime minister and organize commemorative events on this day.

In 1954, the United Nations had declared November 20 as Universal Children’s Day and India used to celebrate Children’s Day on 20th November every year before 1956 but after the death of Prime Minister Nehru in 1964, a resolution was passed in the Parliament unanimously declaring the day of Pt. Nehru’s birth anniversary is National Children’s Day.

Meanwhile, Kajol was last seen in a period action film ‘Tanhaji’ along with her husband actor Ajay Devgn in 2020.

She will be seen in ‘Salaam Venky’. Helmed by south actor and director Revathy, the film is all set to hit the theatres on December 9, 2022.

She will also be seen in an upcoming web series ‘The Good Wife’. ‘The Good Wife’ is an Indian adaptation of the American courtroom drama of the same name starring Julianna Margulies in the lead role. The show has seven seasons and it concluded in 2016.

Kajol will be seen playing the role of a housewife who goes back to working as a lawyer after her husband’s scandal lands him in jail. Directed by Supan Verma and it will stream on Disney+Hotstar. (ANI)

On Shah Rukh’s 57th Birthday, DDLJ To Return In Theatres

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday holds a special place in his fans’ life. And when it comes to celebrations, many fans like to mark the “November 2” date by binge-watching the actor’s memorable films.

Wednesday will be more special for Srkians as his iconic film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (DDLJ) is returning to the silver screen.
The special screening of the Aditya Chopra’s directorial will be held in different cinema halls on November 2 as a tribute to SRK.

The comment section has been showered with unconditional love for the actor.

Released in 1995, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ also starred Kajol, Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal, Parmeet Sethi, Mandira Bedi, and Anupam Kher among others. In the film, Shah Rukh played the character of Raj, who falls in love with Simran(Kajol).

The film went on to become the longest-running Hindi film of all time. DDLJ is also the winner of a record-breaking (at the time) 10 Filmfare Awards and the film literally changed the face of Bollywood globally. (ANI)

68th National Film Awards: Ajay Receives Best Actor Honour For Tanhaji

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn on Friday was conferred with the National Award for Best Actor and Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment for ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ at the 68th National Film Awards.

For the award ceremony, the actor donned a black suit as he received the award from President Droupadi Murmu.
‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ was directed by Om Raut and released on January 10, 2020. This film was the 100th film in Devgn’s career spanning 30 years.

The movie also features Saif Ali Khan, Kajol and Sharad Kelkar. It collected over Rs 368 crore worldwide at the box office and was declared the highest grosser of the year.

The film involved Ajay in the role of Maratha warrior Taanaji Malusare, fighting for the principle of ‘Bhagwa’ (saffron) flag, ‘Swaraj’ (home-rule) and ‘Satya’ (truth).

Kajol essayed the role of the wife of Tanhaji — Savitribai Malusare — a strong character, who accompanied him in taking firm decisions. Saif played the antagonist, Uday Bhan, a Rajput official who works for Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.

This win marks Ajay’s third National award after ‘Zakhm’ in 1998 and ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’ in 2020. Along with the ‘Golmaal’ actor, South star Suriya also won the Best Actor honour for ‘Soorarai Pottru’.

The 68th National Film Awards were announced by a jury back in July 2022 at the National Media Centre in New Delhi. The jury comprised eminent filmmakers and film personalities from across Indian cinema. (ANI)
