Sanjay Dutt Performs ‘Pind Daan’ In Gaya

Actor Sanjay Dutt on Thursday performed ‘pind daan’ at Vishnupad Temple in Gaya, Bihar.

Sanjay prayed for the peace of the souls of his departed parents, Sunil Dutt and Nargis.

Pind daan is a Hindu ritual that involves paying homage to the deceased. It’s performed by relatives of the deceased at three holy sites in Gaya: the Phalgu River, Vishnupad Temple, and Akshay Vat tree. The ritual can take about two hours and can be completed in one day.

After performing the rituals, he also met his fans, who were stationed outside the temple.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sanjay will be next seen in the sci-fi horror comedy film ‘The Virgin Tree’, which also features Sunny Singh, Mouni Roy, and Palak Tiwari in the lead roles.

Sharing more details about the film, Sanjay earlier said, “I am pleased to back the film, which was exactly the script I was looking for. New Year is almost here and everyone wants to ring in 2024 with their family members and friends. Actor Sanjay Dutt has also reached Dubai in time to be with his wife Maanayata Dutt and kids Shahraan and Iqra and celebrate New Year’s Eve with them.

Sanjay’s daughter Trishala from his first marriage to Richa Sharma has also joined them for the New Year celebrations in Dubai.

Taking to Instagram, Trishala dropped several images from Dutt’s fam-jam dinner in Dubai.

She captioned the post with an infinity symbol emoji.

Sanjay got married to Maanayata in 2008. While Maanayata and kids Shahraan and Iqra have been living in Dubai for the past three years, Trishala stays in the US.

Madhuri Recalls ‘Khalnayak’ As It Re-Releases In Theatres

Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit-starrer iconic movie ‘Khalnayak’ is re-releasing in theatres on September 5 to celebrate 30 years of the film. 

Madhuri felt ecstatic about it and said, “Congratulations to Mukta Arts, Subhash ji and the whole team of ‘Khalnayak’ on completing thirty years. We had a great time filming the movie. It is still fresh in people’s minds. Thank you for all the love you have given to ‘Khalnayak’ and hope you enjoy watching it again in theatres.”

 ‘Khalnayak’ is remembered as one of the biggest hits of the 1990s, and it has since gained cult status. The action crime drama, written, directed and produced by Subhash Ghai under Mukta Arts Limited, was released on August 6, 1993. It stars Sanjay Dutt (as the villain), Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff.

Dutt plays the anti-hero Ballu, Shroff as police officer Ram, and Madhuri as undercover cop Ganga in the film.

Previously, Sanjay took to his Instagram handle to congratulate the team on the completion of thirty years of the film. He wrote, “I want to congratulate Subhashji one of the greatest directors of the Indian screen, Jackie dada for being the perfect Ram and Madhuri for being Ganga, and the entire cast and crew of #Khalnayak, I am grateful and proud to be a part of such an iconic film, and cherish every moment of it. 30 years and yet it looks like a film made yesterday, thank you Subhashji and Mukta Arts from making this film and me being a part of it, thank you once again. The movie is known for its music and ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai’, sung by Alka Yagnik and Ila Arun, is still liked by the audience. It received positive response from the critics and movie buffs. At the 39th Filmfare Awards, ‘Khalnayak’ received 11 nominations, including Best Film, Best Director (Ghai), Best Actor (Dutt), Best Actress (Dixit), and Best Supporting Actor (Shroff), and won two awards – Best Female Playback Singer (Alka Yagnik and Ila Arun) and Best Choreography (Saroj Khan), both for the song ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai’. In the picture, he was seen in intense workout sessions dressed in a simple black tee he teamed up with matching trousers and a pair of sports shoes.

Fitness freak Shilpa Shetty’s ‘Monday Motivation’ post is all about working out to the tunes of some peppy numbers. Reason? The ‘Baazigar’ actor has already started preps for the World Dance Day that will be celebrated on April 29.
She wrote in the caption, “World Dance Day will be celebrated on Saturday around the globe, but I’d love to celebrate it through the week. So, I decided to add a fun element to some core exercises.”

Elaborating the details of her fitness regime, the actor said, “This routine works the core muscles; which consist of pelvic, lower back, glute and abdominal muscles. The best part of this is that holding the ‘V Stance’ by itself engages the core to a great extent. By adding some shoulder shimmies, leg movements, and Russian twists; the V Stance becomes unstable and difficult to hold. That further challenges the core. It was so much fun that I ended up adding few sets of these to my core training day. How many reps can you do? Make a remix reel and don’t forget to tag me!”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ajay was recently seen in the action thriller film ‘Bholaa’ which received decent responses from the audiences.

As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film raked in Rs 11.20 crore in India on its opening day.

Bholaa marked Ajay’s fourth directorial film after ‘U, Me aur Hum’ in 2008, ‘Shivaay’ in 2016, and ‘Runway 34’ in 2022. The film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra, Vineet Kumar, Gajraj Rao and Tabu in pivotal roles.

It is an official Hindi remake of the Tamil hit ‘Kaithi’ and has been styled as the story of a “one-man army, set in one night, fighting a multitude of enemies in various forms, human and otherwise.”

In the upcoming months, Ajay will be seen headlining ‘Maidaan’, which is a sports drama dedicated to the golden years of Indian football.

Ajay is essaying the role of the legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who is widely known as the founding father of Indian football. The film also stars Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh.

Taking to his blog on Monday, Amitabh shared pictures from his meet and greet session with fans. In the images, he can be seen wearing a homemade sling.

“And the work continues .. the Sunday blessings of the well wishers .. my love affection and gratitude .. they still come .. me in homemade sling and the grey. PS .. a patch of grey behind the hair ; ‘no time to get the nature fair .. but now that resumption does invite, shall attend to it and make it bright,” he wrote.

He also added, “The breathing done in the ‘yaam’ for now ; off to work, in defiance somehow ; the Ef renders, this is beyond allow ; but work I must , to them I bow !!! There is a flood of well wishers here, but space and limits do not allow ..so shall be posting another Blog , patience please, doing it now!!”

Big B also shared pictures of the fans who were gathered outside his residence with his posters and banners.

It was earlier in March when Amitabh revealed that he suffered the injury during the shooting of ‘Project K’ in Hyderabad. He shared that he broke his rib cartilage.

“In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, got injured, rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage. Canceled shoot, did doctor consult & scan by CT at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home,” posted Amitabh.

He got injured during an action sequence of the film. He, unfortunately, suffered a muscle tear to his right rib cage.

Helmed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Project K’ is a bilingual film shot simultaneously in two languages i.e., Hindi and Telugu across various locations. Meanwhile, on the work front, Sanjay was last seen in a period action drama film ‘Shamshera’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor.

Helmed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Yash Raj Films, the film was released in July this year and failed to impress the audience at the box office.

‘Shamshera’ marked Ranbir’s first double-role film and Sanjay’s negative portrayal was loved by all his fans.
