Shraddha Case: DNA Confirms Bone, Hair Samples Are Of Shraddha Walkar

In a major development in the Shraddha Walkar murder case, the Delhi Police on Wednesday said that samples of hair and bones recovered by them matched that of Shraddha.

A mitochondrial DNA report of the samples found in the forest area of Mehrauli and sent for testing at the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting Diagnostic (CDFD) in Hyderabad has matched with that of the victim’s father and brother, the Delhi Police said.
The bone and hair samples were sent to Hyderabad for “DNA Mitrocondrial profiling” as the DNA couldn’t be extracted from the body parts.

“Mitochondrial DNA report confirms hair and bone sample matching with Shraddha Walker. Delhi Police has received the report from the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics,” said Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Sagar Preet Hooda.

“One piece of bone and a bunch of hair purported to be of the deceased have matched with that of her father and brother which establishes the identity of the bone and hair to be that of Shraddha Walker,” Special CP added.

He further said that the bones will now be sent for post-mortem examination to be conducted by a medical board at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Shraddha was allegedly killed by her live-in partner Aaftab Amin Poonawala.

Aftab allegedly chopped her body into 35 pieces, bought a refrigerator and stored them in it before he disposed them off at different locations in and around Delhi during the night hours for the next 18 days.

Police had earlier said Aaftab, who confessed to killing Shraddha and chopping her body into pieces, gave misleading answers to questions

Notably, Delhi Police is currently investigating the murder case.

In November, Shraddha’s father Vikash Madan Walkar, a resident of Palghar (Maharashtra), approached Mumbai police and lodged a missing person complaint.

During the initial investigation, Shraddha’s last location was found in Delhi, and on the basis of this, the case was transferred to Delhi Police.

Shraddha’s father told the police about his daughter’s relationship with Aftab and suspected his involvement in his daughter’s absence.

During the investigation, it was found that Aaftab and Shraddha had come to Delhi and started living in a rented apartment in the Chhattarpur Pahadi area. The police during the course of the investigation, traced Aftab and nabbed him.

Aftab, during questioning, confessed to the crime and said that they fought often as Shraddha was pressuring him for marriage.

Recently, Aaftab has moved an application seeking bail on the grounds that the initial investigation in the case has been completed.

The bail application moved through the legal aid counsel has stated that the initial investigation in the matter is completed and a charge sheet is to be filed.

Aaftab Poonawala is in judicial custody till December 23.

Aaftab’s polygraph test and Narco Analysis test have also been conducted.

The Delhi Police will file a charge sheet in the matter soon. (ANI)

Shraddha Case Forced Break Up With Tunisha: Sheezan

In a major reveal by the main accused in TV actor Tunisha Sharma’s death case, her former boyfriend Sheezan Khan reportedly told police that he was “so disturbed by the atmosphere in the country that emerged after the gruesome murder of Shraddha Walkar” allegedly by her live-in partner, that Khan decided to end their relationship, sources said on Monday.

During his first day in police custody, Sheezan told Waliv police that he ended the relationship with Tunisha after seeing repercussions emerging from the Shraddha Walkar case and told his former paramour that belonging to a different community stands in their way as did their age gap.
During interrogation, Sheezan further revealed that Tunisha had earlier also attempted suicide after they broke up. “Tunisha had recently tried to commit suicide a few days before her death, but at that time I saved her and told Tunisha’s mother to take special care of her,” police sources quoted Sheehan as saying.

Tunisha and Sheezan broke up a fortnight before she was found dead inside a toilet in a TV shoot set on December 24.

On Sunday, a court in Vasai, Maharashtra, sent actor Sheezan Khan to police custody for four days in connection with Tunisha Sharma’s alleged suicide case.

Waliv police produced Khan in the court after his arrest in the case for abetment to suicide. The case was registered against him under Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code.

Tunisha was found dead on the sets of a TV serial on December 24, according to Waliv Police. They received information that after a tea break, the actress went to the toilet and when she did not come back, the police broke the door open and found her hanging.

No suicide note was recovered at the spot by police.

The police have said the reason behind Tunisha’s alleged extreme step that ended her life could be her breakup with Sheezan over a fortnight back.

The First Information Report, or FIR, of the case, revealed that the two actors were in a relationship, and had broken up 15 days ago. Tunisha Sharma was reportedly under stress, and it is suspected that’s what drove her to the edge, said the Mumbai police.

The police have sent the mobile phones of both Tunisha and Sheezan to the forensic lab so that the calls and chats between the two can be retrieved to understand what happened between the duo and what drove Tunisha to death after 15 days of breakup,” police sources said.

According to the initial probe, Tunisha had left her house happily on Saturday morning to go to the serial set.

After the first shift shoot was over, Sheejan Khan and Tunisha were in the make-up room, and both of them went to lunch, as usual, the police said.

However, Tunisha did not have lunch on the day of her demise and after Sheejan finished lunch, both of them started their work, Sheezan went to shoot on the set and Tunisha went to the makeup room.

When Tunisha Sharma did not come back after her tea break, then people started looking for her.

The police are now probing the reason behind her alleged suicide.

Notably, police have recorded statements from Tunisha’s mother Vanita Sharma and her maternal uncle.

“Family members are in shock after this incident. Tunisha used to live with her mother in the Indraprastha building on Meera Road. She used to bear all the expenses of the family, but now she is no more. Whoever is the accused should be punished,” Tunisha’s uncle said. (ANI)

Shraddha Case: DNA Reports Of Bones Found In Forest Soon

Results of DNA testing of bones retrieved from a forest area in the national capital, based on the statement of Aftaab Amin Poonawala who confessed to having killed his live-in girlfriend Shraddha Walkar, may give a new turn to the case, according to Delhi Police.

A total of 13 decomposed bones and part of a jaw, collected from the Mehrauli forest as part of the investigation in the Shraddha Walker case are believed to be of the 27-year-old woman.
According to sources, the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) are likely to release the DNA report sometime this week.

According to police, once the reports arrive, the case can be strongly presented before the court and efforts will be made to get the harshest punishment for the accused Aaftab Poonawala.

Aaftab has been accused of murdering Shraddha and chopping off her body into 35 pieces and storing them in a refrigerator before dumping them. He is currently lodged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail and the police are busy preparing the charge sheet for the murder.

On Friday, Aftab was presented in the Saket court through video conferencing from where he has been remanded to judicial custody for 14 days. Earlier, Aftab was sent to judicial custody for 13 days.

CFSL is examining 13 bones recovered from the forest, traces of blood found in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom of the house, and knife, clothes, mobile, and laptop recovered from the house. On the other hand, FSL has to submit the report of Aftab’s polygraph and narco test, sources say that all these reports may come soon.

The narco analysis test of Aaftab Poonawala, the accused in the gruesome murder of his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar, was conducted on Thursday, December 1, at the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital in the national capital’s Rohini. (ANI)

Shraddha Father

Shraddha’s Father Accuses Maha Police Of Showing Laxity

Shraddha Walkar’s father Vikas Walkar, who appeared in the media for the first time since his daughter’s brutal murder, claimed on Friday that she would have been alive if the Maharashtra Police had helped him.

He alleged that the Vasai Police showed “laxity” in the investigation of the case, however, hailing the combined probe by the Delhi Police and the Vasai Police.
“The combined probe conducted by Delhi Police and Vasai police is going well. Still, Vasai Police, and Nalasopara Police showed laxity in the investigation which is unfortunate. Delhi Police assured us that we will get justice. My daughter was brutally murdered. I faced many problems because of the Vasai police, if they had helped me, my daughter would have been alive,” Vikas said while addressing a joint press conference with BJP leader Kirit Somaiya here.

He further sought the death penalty for Aaftab Poonawalla in the case and also demanded a probe against the family members and relatives of the accused.

“I expect a similar lesson for Aaftab Poonwala in the way he murdered my daughter. He should be hanged. A probe should be conducted against Aftab’s family members, relatives, and all others included in the incident,” he said.

Pointing out the drawbacks and misuse of some mobile applications (dating apps), he also sought “restrictions” on them.

“There should also be restrictions on some mobile apps. Children older than 18 yrs of age should be somewhat controlled and they should be given counseling. What happened to me shouldn’t happen to anyone else. I tried to talk with my daughter but she didn’t respond to me in the last two years. I was never told what was happening with my daughter,” he said.

Vikas claimed that he had a conversation with Shraddha in 2021 and Aaftab on September 26, however, he did not tell him about her whereabouts.

“The last time I had a conversation with Shraddha was in 2021. We talked about her whereabouts, she said that she was living in Bengaluru. I talked to Aaftab on September 26 when I asked him about my daughter, but he didn’t give an answer on it,” Vikas said.

He said that he was against the relationship between Shraddha and Aaftab and was unaware of the violence that she was subjected to.

“I was against the relationship of Shraddha Walker and Aaftab Poonawala. I was unaware of the domestic violence Shraddha was subjected to by Aaftab. I feel, his family members knew everything about what he was doing with her,” he said.

Blaming the dating apps, Vikas said that his daughter came in contact with Aaftab because of it.

“Aaftab pursued Shraddha to make up her mind to leave. It was because of dating apps that Shraddha came in contact with Aaftab,” he said.

Speaking to ANI, Shraddha’s father’s lawyer, Seema Kushwaha said that the dating apps should be monitored.

“Though people have the right to use dating apps, these dating apps should be monitored. There can be criminals and terrorists…I think names of Aaftab’s family members should be there in the charge sheet,” she said.

Earlier today, Saket Court in Delhi extended the judicial custody of Aaftab Amin Poonawala for 14 days said, officials.

He was produced through video conferencing in the court today.

The 28-year-old, who dismembered Shraddha’s body and stored the chopped body parts in a refrigerator before disposing of them in the forests of south Delhi’s Chhatarpur, is currently in Judicial custody.

Aaftab is accused of strangling to death his live-in partner Shraddha and chopping her body into 35 pieces. He is also alleged to have preserved the chopped body parts in a refrigerator before dumping them in forested areas in Delhi and Gurugram.

Police had earlier said Aaftab, who confessed to killing Shraddha and chopping her body into 35 pieces, was giving misleading answers to questions.

Delhi Police had submitted in court that Aaftab was giving wrong information and was misleading the investigation. (ANI)

Aaftab Poonawala

Tihar Authorities Provide Aaftab, The Great Railway Bazaar’ Book

On the request of Aaftab Amin Poonawala, accused of murdering his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar, the Tihar jail authorities gave him a copy of ‘The Great Railway Bazaar, jail sources said on Saturday.

“The murder accused Aaftab, who is currently lodged in Tihar Jail, requested police for an English novel to read inside the jail,” Tihar Jail sources said.
Interestingly, Delhi Police provided Aaftab with the book ‘The Great Railway Bazaar: By Train Through Asia’, a travelogue by American novelist Paul Theroux. The jail authorities gave him the book as it is not based on crime and does not have content that could make him harm others or himself, the sources said.

Delhi Police took this decision as Aaftab (28) is accused of strangulating his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar and chopping her body parts, storing them in a refrigerator before dumping them in South Delhi’s Mehrauli.

According to police, most of the time in jail, Aaftab plays chess. “Poonawala spends time by plotting chess moves, often solitary and occasionally sparring with two fellow inmates,” jail authorities said.

According to sources, Aaftab shares his jail cell with two more inmates who frequently play a game of chess on the chess board available in the cell. Often Aaftab keenly observes the games of the two other inmates and whenever he gets a chance he plays both the white and black pieces. He is the single player and he strategises and plays both sides himself, sources said.

“The vicious Aaftab is fond of chess and he prepares different strategies and plays the board from both ends,” sources said, adding that he is a “good player, in this game.”

Both the undertrials who share Aaftab’s cell have been accused in a theft case and according to sources they have been asked to keep a close watch on him.

The jail sources also informed that Aaftab plans his own moves against himself and that is something the Delhi Police have been suspicious of from the very beginning “Aaftab is very cunning. His every move seems part of a well-planned conspiracy as if he is playing alone from both ends…”

Earlier, talking to ANI, one of the investigators in the case said that Aaftab had totally followed what the police told him to do. He confessed his crime, co-operated with police, and agreed to the polygraph and narco tests. But now the police are becoming suspicious of his “good” behaviour.

Apart from the ‘obedient’ behaviour of Aaftab, Delhi Police are suspecting the ‘rehearsed’ answers given by him. “Aaftab’s behaviour and good conduct are under question. How can there be one answer to each question? It looks like the accused has already rehearsed the answers,” officials said.

However, during the interrogation, Aaftab confessed that he used a Chinese chopper to dismember Shraddha’s body.

Delhi Police could do a brain mapping to read Aftab’s mind to find out what’s brewing inside. “We are still waiting for the DNA report, only after that will consider the Brain mapping test,” police said.

Initially, Aaftab was trying to misguide the Mumbai Police. But, once the case came under the jurisdiction of Delhi Police, he started confessing his crime. The police say they suspect it to be part of his “devious” scheme.

As per information, the jail authorities have increased the security outside Aaftab Poonawalla’s jail quarters, and deployed an additional guard outside his barrack, especially after an attack on a jail van ferrying Shraddha’s alleged killer outside the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Delhi’s Rohini.

The Tihar Jail Authority has also said that in view of the danger to Aftab inside the jail, “special vigil is being kept around his cell”, adding, “Aftab neither talks much to anyone nor does he mingle”.

According to jail officials, Aftab eats and sleeps on time as if he has no remorse for his actions.

“It seems from his actions that the murder of Shraddha Walkar was also a part of a deeper conspiracy like his chess strategies,” the jail sources stated.

Aaftab is accused of strangling to death his live-in partner and chopping her body into 35 pieces. He is also alleged to have preserved the chopped body parts in a refrigerator before dumping them in forested areas in Delhi and Gurugram.

Police had earlier said Aaftab, who confessed to killing Shraddha and chopping her body was giving misleading answers to questions.

Delhi Police had submitted in court that Aaftab was giving wrong information and was misleading the investigation. (ANI)

Aaftab Shraddha case

Aaftab’s Polygraph And Narco Response Same: Delhi Police

Both the narco analysis and a polygraph test of Aaftab Amin Poonawala, who is accused of murdering his live-in girlfriend Shraddha Walkar and dismembering her body has revealed similar responses to the information gathered by Delhi Police so far in its investigation of the case, officials said on Friday.

Delhi police sources said that Aaftab was fully cooperative during his narco as well as his polygraph tests. “From the preliminary examination, our teams involved in the probe have found out that he gave similar responses during both the tests so it does not bring any kind of new twist to the story,” sources said.

During the tests Aaftab confessed to having killed Shradha and to have disposed off her body parts in forest areas of the city.

Further, according to the police, the DNA report of Shradha Walkar is expected next week, adding that specific bones recovered from the forest so far will be analysed and ascertained before the doctors examine and give a confirmation about her death.

“The quantum and quality of specific bones will help doctors analysis and confirm whether Shardha is actually dead or not,” said the senior official.

Police are yet to find the skull of Shradha and other remaining parts of the body even as a search is going on for the same.

Police said, “We have enough evidence to prove Poonawala guilty and are awaiting digital footprints and evidence to correlate and join the dots between the missing links so far.”

However, police stated that they have found more evidence in connection with the case which cannot be divulged at this moment as it may hamper the ongoing investigation. (ANI)

Shraddha Case: Aaftab’s Post-Narco Test Interview Tomorrow

After the narco analysis test of Aaftab Poonawalla, accused in the Shraddha Walkar murder case, was successfully completed on Thursday, a four-member team will visit the Central jail tomorrow for the ‘Post-Narco Test Interview’.

According to the prison officials, the arrangement was made keeping in view the security of the accused who has recently attacked outside the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) office in Delhi.
“Four member team of Forensic Science Laboratory and Investigating officer will visit the Central jail tomorrow for the ‘Post-Narco Test Interview’. This arrangement has been made in view of the high risk involved in the transportation of Aftab,” the prison officials said.

Aaftab’s narco analysis test was conducted at the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital in the national capital’s Rohini, Delhi Police officials said earlier today.

Aaftab was brought by Delhi Police from Tihar jail where he is currently lodged, to the Rohini hospital around 9 am for a narco test after a Delhi court gave permission for the analysis.

Before undergoing a narco analysis test, Aaftab was given a general examination to check his blood pressure, pulse rate, body temperature, and heartbeat. He also signed a consent form agreeing to the narco test after which he was put under anesthesia and he was subjected to the narco analysis.

The narco test was conducted by a team of FSL officials which includes a photo expert, forensic psychology expert and one doctor of forensic medicine, and the Nodal Officer, Narco, Ambedkar Hospital.

The narco test of Aaftab was over by 11:45 pm after which he was kept under doctors’ observation and given psychotherapy.

When Aaftab regained full consciousness the Delhi Police team took him back to Tihar with full security.

On Monday the police van carrying Aaftab came under attack by some sword-wielding men.

In the case registered under the Mehrauli Police Station under sections 365, 302, 201 of the Indian Penal Code, the narco test of the accused Aaftab began this morning, according to Sagar Preet Hooda, IPS, Special CP (Law & Order) Zone II.

Delhi Police said that earlier during a polygraph test conducted at the Forensic Science Laboratory office in the national capital, Aaftab had confessed to killing Shraddha in May this year and chopping her body into many pieces. He is also alleged to have stored the chopped body parts in a refrigerator and gradually disposed them of.

A Delhi court had permitted the police to conduct a polygraph test and a narco analysis of Aaftab after the Delhi Police submission that the accused was giving misleading answers to questions. (ANI)

Shraddha Murder: Cops Say Aftab’s Narco Test May Bring New Twist

In another development in the Shraddha murder case, the police want to conduct the narco test of Aaftab Amin Poonawala at the earliest to find out if anything new is brewing in his mind.

One of the investigators in the case told ANI that Aaftab is very clever and can anytime bring a new ‘twist’ to the case.

He said Aaftab has completely obeyed what the police told him to do. He confessed his crime, co-operated with police, and agreed to the polygraph and narco test. But now the police have started feeling suspicious about his ‘good’ behaviour.

Initially, Aaftab was trying to misguide the Mumbai Police. But, once the case came under the jurisdiction of Delhi Police, he started confessing the whole crime. So, the police is suspecting this might be a part of his plans.

Now, the police want to conduct Aaftab’s narco test at the earliest, so that everything going on in his mind comes out to the police. The police also got the date of the narco test preponed to December 1 from December 5, given by the court earlier.

Earlier on Tuesday, Delhi Court gave permission to Delhi Police to conduct a narco test on the Shraddha Walker accused Aaftab Amin Poonawala on December 1.

Special CP (law and order) Sagar Preet Hooda had said that Delhi Police will seek permission from the court for the test.

Aaftab is accused of strangling his live-in partner Shraddha to death and chopping her body into 35 pieces. He is also alleged to have preserved the chopped body parts in a refrigerator before dumping them in forested areas in Delhi and Gurugram.

Police had earlier said Aaftab, who confessed to killing Shraddha and chopping her body into 35 pieces, was giving misleading answers to questions.

Shraddha aaftab

Shraddha Case: Had No Clue Of Body Parts In House, Says Aaftab’s Girlfriend

In another development in the Shraddha murder case, Aaftab’s most recent girlfriend was in shock after hearing about the horrific act by him and said that she had no clue that human body parts were kept inside Aaftab’s Chhatarpur residence when she visited there twice after the murder. She also informed me that Aaftab gifted her a ring.

As per her, Aftab had gifted a fancy artificial ring on October 12.
As per sources, this ring belonged to Shraddha.

The police recovered the ring from Aaftab’s new partner and recorded her statement.

As per reports, Aaftab’s partner is a psychiatrist by profession.

As per a statement given to the police, this friend informed that she had come to Aftab’s flat twice in the month of October, but she had no inkling of Shraddha’s murder or about the presence of human body parts in the house. Aftab never looked scared, she said. She also informed me that he often used to tell her about his Mumbai home.

Aaftab and his new girlfriend came in contact through an online dating app.

As per police, Aftab was in contact with about 15 to 20 girls through different dating sites.

During the course of the investigation, the police traced his Bumble app record and found out about a girl who had come in contact with Aftab through the app on May 30, about 12 days after Shraddha’s murder.

Aftab’s psychiatrist friend said that his behaviour seemed normal, even very caring and she said that she never felt that his mental state was not ideal. She also informed me that Aftab had a collection of different varieties of deodorants and perfumes and he often used to give her perfumes as gifts.

As per her, Aaftab used to smoke a lot of cigarettes and also used to roll his cigarettes himself but often used to talk about giving up smoking soon.

She also claimed that Aftab was very fond of different types of food and often used to order non-vegetarian items from different restaurants at home and expressed his hobby about how the chefs decorate the food in the restaurant.

As per police sources, Aaftab’s new partner is undergoing counseling as she was found to be in a state of shock following the emergence of the details of the Shraddha murder case. (ANI)

Shraddha Aaftab's Case

Shraddha Case: Aaftab’s Ordered Meals Reduced After May

Early in May this year, Shraddha Walkar finally decided to part ways with her live-in partner Aaftab Amin Poonawala, which did not go well with the latter who resorted to murdering her in a well-thought-out manner and not due to sudden provocation, according to circumstantial evidence collected by Delhi Police, say sources.

Apart from this, the Delhi Police team probing the death case has found bloodstains in Aaftab’s flat- including from its bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom, sources said on Tuesday.
A total of 13 pieces of bones including a jawbone have so far been recovered from Gurugram and Delhi and tests by Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) will be conducted to confirm whether they belong to a human being, sources said.

“13 bones recovered so far. Some other items have also been found, which will be examined by Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL). Some parts were also found on the border of Delhi Gurugram. A jaw has also been found. Some weapons have been found in the jungle and Aaftab’s flat. With which weapon she was cut, it will be known after the CFSL report,” said Delhi Police sources.

Police have also formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter, said sources on Tuesday.

The Police team has recovered some weapons from the rented Chattarpur residence of Aaftab and from the forested areas on the border of Delhi and Gurugram. The weapons will also be sent for forensic analysis.

Some clothes have been recovered and it is conjectured that these were the same that were worn by Shraddha and Aaftab on the day of the murder, sources said adding that these clothes will be sent for forensic analysis.

The police have also contacted Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, Google, Google Pay, and Paytm over email to access details of Aaftab’s internet history. Paytm has provided its reply, Zomato’s response showed that Aftab was ordering food for two people and that after some time the food orders showed only the food quantity being ordered was for one person alone.

The police have asked for details from the dating app, where Aftab and Shraddha met three years ago.

Evidence also suggested that during the time of the murder both Aaftab and Shraddha were present in the flat, sources said.

The Police, however, is yet to recover Shraddha’s mobile phone

Aaftab is accused of strangling to death his live-in partner Shraddha and chopping her body into 35 pieces in May this year. He is also alleged to have preserved the chopped body parts in a refrigerator before dumping them in forested areas in Delhi and Gurugram.

The police have also found some clothes of Aaftab and Shraddha and sent them to CFSL for investigation, sources said on Tuesday.

“These seem to be the same clothes that were used at the time of the incident, which will be clear from the rest of the CFSL report,” it said.

The Police have also found blood stains in the bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom of the Aaftab’s house.

The sources further said that only a report by CFSL can ascertain when Shraddha was killed.

“Aaftab has said that he killed Shraddha on May 18 but the police have not accepted it. Her body has not been found and a post-mortem was not conducted. The biggest challenge before the police is to ascertain exactly when was Shraddha murdered. Nothing can be said unless and until the CFSL report on this comes. This is a very scientific case and everything depends on the scientific report. The CFSL report is awaited,” said sources.

Sources also said that Aaftab appeared to be very confident during his questioning and he was responding to questions very fast and in a relaxed manner.

“Delhi Police has formed an SIT. The search is still going on in the jungle and everywhere where there is any chance of recovery of the bones and other things. The report of the polygraph test has not been received yet, the polygraph test only gives an idea of whether the accused is speaking the truth or not. Narco test is also not normally admissible in law, however, if there is any recovery through the narco test it is admissible in the court. There may be some more chances of recovery through the narco test,” sources said.

According to sources, Shraddha wanted to leave Aaftab and both had decided on May 3 or 4 that they would separate and live separately.

“This did not go down well with Aaftab who felt that Shraddha would get involved with someone else,” they said.

The sources further said that there is no suspicion of the role of Aaftab’s friend Badri, who suggested to the pair a place to stay.

“Delhi Police does not have any eyewitnesses, this is the biggest problem in the case,” sources added.

Meanwhile, Delhi Court on Tuesday gave permission to Delhi Police to conduct a narco test on Aaftab Amin Poonawala on December 1.

Special CP (law and order) Sagar Preet Hooda had earlier today said that Delhi Police will seek permission from the court for the test.

Notably, the Delhi Police solved the six-month-old blind murder case and arrested Aaftab Amin Poonawala on November 12 this year on the basis of Shraddha’s father’s complaint. Acting on a complaint from Shraddha’s father the Delhi Police registered an FIR on November 10.

Aaftab and Shraddha met on a dating site and later moved in together at a rented accommodation in Chhatarpur.

Delhi Police interrogation revealed that Aaftab killed Shraddha on May 18 and later started planning on disposing off her body. He told police that he had read about human anatomy so that it could help him in the chopping of the body. Police said that Aaftab, after doing a search of the shopping mode Google, cleaned blood stains from the floor with some chemicals and disposed of stained clothes. (ANI)
