Sunny’s Son Karan Gets Married To Drisha Acharya

Sunny Deol’s son Karan Deol tied knot with his longtime girlfriend Drisha Acharya on Sunday.

The groom and his family arrived with baaratis in style at Mumbai’s Taj Lands End, where the wedding festivities are currently taking place.
Several pictures and videos of the newlywed couple surfaced online. In the pictures, Karan and Drisha are seen sitting at the mandap and posing for the camera.

The groom wore an off-white sherwani and teamed up with a matching turban, while Drisha looked beautiful in a printed red lehenga. She wore a mangtika and gold neckpiece to compliment her look.

As it’s a day wedding, the guests have mainly opted for light colour attires.

Groom’s father Sunny Deol looked dapper in a green-hued kurta and a red Punjbai-style turban.

Bobby Deol also posed for Shutterbugs.

Dharmendra added chaar chaand to his grandson Karan’s wedding procession with his dance to dhol beats.

The Deol family will host a reception in the evening today (Sunday) for their friends and members of the film industry.

Karan and Drisha have been in a relationship for a long time now. Drisha is a fashion designer. Reportedly, Drisha is the granddaughter of Bimal Roy’s daughter, Rinki Bhattacharya, who was married to filmmaker Basu Bhattacharya.

Karan followed in his father’s footsteps and took acting as a profession. He made his Bollywood debut with Sunny Deol’s directorial ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ in 2019. (ANI)

Dharmendra Receives Father’s Day Wishes From Sunny, Bobby, Esha

On the occasion of Father’s Day, actors Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Esha Deol wished for their dad Dharmendra.

Sunny and Bobby took to their Instagram to share the same post. The post read, “My world! #HappyFathersDay.”

In the first picture, the Deol brothers were seen sitting with their father. The image was from Sunny’s son and actor Karan Deol’s Roka ceremony.

The other throwback picture from the roka ceremony featured Sunny, Karan, Bobby and Dharmendra.

Esha, on the other hand, posted a throwback picture with her dad. She wrote, “Thick as thieves, best secret keeper & the best teddy bear hugs. love you papa. Happy father day. Wishing all a very happy fathers day.”

Dharmendra was seen giving a hug to Esha in the picture.

Meanwhile, Karan tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Drisha Acharya on Sunday. The groom and his family arrived with baaratis in style at Mumbai’s Taj Lands End, where the wedding festivities took place.

Sunny Deol-Ameesha Patel’s Gadar 2 Teaser Out

Makers of the upcoming period action film ‘Gadar 2’ on Monday unveiled the official teaser.

Taking to Instagram, actor Sunny Deol dropped the teaser which he captioned, “Tara Singh is back! #Gadar2Teaser is officially out now! #Gadar2 In Cinemas on 11th August.”

Helmed by Anil Sharma, the film stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in the lead roles and is all set to hit the theatres on August 11.

Before releasing the official teaser online, the makers of the film attached the teaser with ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ which was re-released in the theatres on June 9.

The teaser of ‘Gadar 2,’ hints that the story begins right from where the story ended in ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ and the fans could also hear a sad version of the song ‘Ghar Aaja Pardesi’.

Talking about the film, actor Sunny Deol said, “Gadar 2 carries forward the legacy of its iconic first part. It’s a blessing to be able to bring back one of India’s most loved family film. At its heart the film would always be an inspiring epic story of love, courage and patriotism. Hope the world welcomes Tara and Sakina again with open arms.”

Adding to this actor Ameesha Patel said, “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was re-released on my birthday and my biggest gift was the love we received from our fans. We felt how strongly the film has been engraved in the hearts of the audiences. The teaser of Gadar 2 starts a new chapter in the story of Tara and Sakeena and we truly hope we fulfill the expectations of our fans, once again.”

Director Anil Sharma said, “The teaser of Gadar 2 was to hint to the audiences that Tara, Sakeena and Jeete are back to win hearts once again, we thought it was the best way to thank our fans for keeping the legacy of the film alive in their hearts, even after 22 years.”

The film’s portrayal of the partition of India and its impact on people’s lives struck a chord with the audience. The epic tale of patriotism, love and sacrifice of Tara and Sakeena broke multiple records back in 2001 and now the makers are all set to entertain the audiences with the second instalment of the film.

Sunny Deol’s Son To Get Married In June?

It’s band, Baaja and baraat time for Bollywood’s Deol family.

As per a source, actor Sunny Deol’s son Karan Deol is all set to tie the knot with his girlfriend in June.
Karan’s partner is from Dubai and does not belong to film fraternity, as per the source.

If reports are to be believed, Karan is already engaged to his ladylove. The engagement ceremony reportedly took place on the occasion of the marriage anniversary of his grandparents, Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur, in a close-knit ceremony.

Karan is also an actor. He made his acting debut in his father’s 2019 movie Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. Not just Karan, the film also marked the Bollywood debut of Sahher Bambba.

The film was directed by his father Sunny Deol.

After debuting in ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’, Karan featured in ‘Velle’ in 2021. The film marked Karan’s first on screen collaboration with his uncle Abhay Deol. The film also starred Mouni Roy and Anya Singh. It was produced by Ajay Devgn and directed by debutante Deven Munjal. It is said to be the Hindi adaptation of the 2019 Telugu movie Brochevarevarura.

Sunny Deol often shares pictures with his son Karan on social media. On Karan’s 32nd birthday last year, he recalled the time when he directed him in ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’.

“As a director I pushed your limits, and made you do everything. You rappelled off of high peaks in the Himalayas, jumped into frozen lakes, swam in Grade 6 Rapids water streams, got stuck between rocks, got hurt, but kept going on and on without a second thought…just because you believed in me! When I was making you do all this, as a father my heart was always in my mouth, as a director my admiration for you was scaling mountaintops! You will succeed in your life my son because you take no shortcuts. I know it’s a lot of hard work, keep going, respect elders, be kind and standup up for what is right! Happy Birthday, son,” he posted.

Sunny, Bobby Extend Birthday Greetings To Abhay

It’s actor Abhay Deol’s birthday today and he has received loads of heartfelt wishes on social media.

His cousins Bobby ghDeol and Sunny Deol also extended warm birthday greetings to him.
Sharing a candid picture of Abhay, Bobby took to Instagram and wrote, “Love you @abhaydeol..Happy Birthday!”

Responding to his post, Abhay commented, “I remember when you clicked this.”

Sunny dropped a cute picture of Abhay. In the image, he is seen cuddling his dog.

“Happy birthday Dimpy,” Sunny captioned the post, hinting that Dimpy is Abhay’s nickname.

“Thank you bhaiyya,” Abhay commented.

Abhay was born into a Punjabi Jat family to Ajit Singh Deol and Usha Deol. He is the nephew of veteran actor Dharmendra, and the cousin of Sunny, Bobby, Esha and Ahana Deol.

In an earlier interview with ANI, Abhay opened up about how his film background helps him to deal with issues in life.

“I have now become more open as an individual. I get less affected by things and I feel that’s the privilege I have received coming from a film family. Not all kids from film families are unaffected but I think they have the biggest advantage of being unaffected because at some point ‘you will be like, wait a minute, I have been seeing all this since I was a freaking kid…why the hell I am being affected right now’ I don’t think any outsider can feel like that way. I have now learned to see my privileges,” he had said.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Abhay was recently seen in Netflix’s web series ‘Trial By Fire’, which portrays the gruelling legal battle and the unbelievably trying journey that ensues when two parents lose their children. To mark this occasion, many Bollywood celebs took to their social media accounts and extended warm birthday wishes to the He-man of Bollywood.
Dharmendra’s son Sunny Deol, took to his Instagram and wrote, “Happy Birthday Papa. Love you.”

The ‘Sholay’ actor’s grandson Karan Deol shared a picture in which he could be seen along with Dharmendra and Bobby Deol, which he captioned, “So blessed to be your son and grandson. Happy Birthday Bade papa @aapkadharam.”

Sidharth Malhotra shared a picture and captioned it, “Happy birthday Dharam sir, You are an inspiration for many @apkadharam.”

Dharmendra is considered one of the best action heroes of Indian cinema and is also known as the He-Man of Bollywood.

He has delivered remarkable performances in films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Pratiggya’, ‘The Burning Train’ and many more.

He will be next seen in Karan Johar’s upcoming romantic comedy film ‘Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani’ alongside Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi.

The film is all set to hit the theatres on April 28, 2023.

Taking to Instagram, Sunny shared a few photographs in which he is seen giving ‘bhutta’ treats to his friends on his birthday.

Directed by Anil Sharma, the upcoming film is the sequel to the much-loved family drama ‘Apne’, which was released in 2007. The film, which revolves around the importance of family bonds, also starred Kirron Kher, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and Katrina Kaif.
