Amritpal Singh’s Video Surfaces, Says He Will Continue His Fight For Sikhs

Amid the manhunt for Khalistan sympathizer Amritpal Singh, a video has emerged of Amritpal Singh where the Waris Punjab De head is seen thanking Sikh Sangat for the support he received from Sikhs globally.

In the video, where he is seen wearing a grey shawl and a black turban, Singh reasons why he was unable to send any message owing to internet shutdown in Punjab. “I wanted to send my message across but the Internet was shut down,” he is seen saying in Punjabi.

Amritpal criticizes Punjab government and police for atrocities and mass arrests in the wake of his escape from their attempt to round him up. Drawing parallel with the Beant Singh Government, Amritpal rues the sufferings of Sikh community.

He says that police picked up even women and physically challenged in order to curb the voices in his support and forcibly draw information regarding his whereabouts.

In the nearly three-minute video, he also vows to continue raising his voice against injustices meted out to the community and appeals Sikhs to struggle unitedly.
