Devendra Fadnavis Slams Sanjay Raut For Questioning Mahayuti’s Win
Slamming Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut for claiming “seats were stolen” after the Maha Vikas Aghadi was routed in assembly polls, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday said “sometimes one needs to introspect.”
BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is edging closer to a historic win in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, leading in over 231 out of 288 seats while the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is leading in just 48 seats.
Fadnavis stated that the Election Commission held fair elections in Jharkhand where the JMM-led alliance is poised to return to power but “If we have got a huge victory in Maharashtra, then the Election Commission has become biased!”
“Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis says, “First of all, I don’t react to Sanjay Raut. But I am reacting today because it is necessary. I know that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has won in Jharkhand and it has won in a very legitimate manner. The election there was completely fair. The Election Commission has done a good job there. The EVMs there were so strong that they could not be hacked,” Fadnavis told reporters here.
Fadnavis further said, “Democracy has won there and if we have got a huge victory in Maharashtra, then the Election Commission has become biased! Here the EVMs have been hacked!. Here democracy has been murdered!. Look, sometimes one needs to introspect…”
Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) MP Sanjay Raut on Saturday questioned the number of seats NCP and Shiv Sena were getting, saying that the public doesn’t agree with these results.
“They have done some ‘gadbad’, they have stolen some of our seats. This cannot be the public’s decision. Even the public does not agree with these results. Once the results are out, we will talk more. In every election seat, money-counting machines were installed. Is it possible that Shinde will get 60 seats, Ajit Pawar will get 40 seats and BJP will get 125 seats? The people of this state are not dishonest. We have their faith in the people of Maharashtra,” Raut told mediapersons in Mumbai. (ANI)
