Singer Sidhu Moose Wala Shot Dead A Day After Security Withdrawn
Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala, who was shot at in Punjab’s Mansa on Sunday, was brought dead to the hospital, said Dr Ranjeet Rai, Civil Surgeon, Mansa Hospital.
The attack on the Congress leader took place when he and two of his friends were driving in a jeep to the village Jawahar Ke in Punjab.
The SUV in which they were travelling was sprayed with bullets and Moose Wala was found slumped on his seat and bleeding heavily. Locals rushed the injured to the Mansa Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
The incident took place a day after Sidhu Moose Wala’s security was withdrawn by the Punjab police among 424 others.
Notably, the singer had joined the Congress party last year in December ahead of the Assembly elections.
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu was popularly known by his stage name Sidhu Moose Wala. The 28-year-old belonged to the Moose Wala village near Mansa and had given several superhit songs in the last few years. (ANI)
