Despite Continuous Snowfall, Record Number Of Pilgrims Perform Char-Dham Yatra

Despite continuous snowfall and harsh cold weather, a record number of pilgrims are arriving for the Char-Dham Yatra this year.

After the snowfall, 2 inches of white snow spread in Badrinath Dham. Due to continuous snowfall, the mercury in the area has dropped below zero.

According to Uttarakhand Police Headquarters, the number of pilgrims visiting Char-Dham by October 16, 2023, has crossed 50 lakhs. Along with this, about 5 lakhs 41 thousand vehicles have also reached Char-Dham. After the commencement of the Yatra, more than 17 lakh, 8 thousand devotees visited Kedarnath Dham, 15 lakh 90 thousand Badrinath Dham, 8 lakh 46 thousand pilgrims in Gangotri, 6 lakh 94 thousand pilgrims in Yamunotri, and more than 1 lakh 77 thousand devotees visited Hemkund Sahib.

Ashok Kumar, Director General of Police, Uttarakhand said, “Uttarakhand Police is providing all possible assistance to the pilgrims at every level, due to which memories of the sacred faith of Devbhoomi as well as the positive image of Uttarakhand Police are being imprinted in their minds. We are committed to a safe and uninterrupted Chardham Yatra.”

Meanwhile, the doors of Shri Gangotri Dham will be closed for the winter season on November 14, an official statement issued by the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee said.

On the occasion of Annakoot also known as Govardhan Puja, the doors of Shri Gangotri Dham will be closed for the winter season.

According to the Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, Shri Yamunotri Dham will be closed for winter on November 15.

“The date of closing of the doors of Shri Badrinath Dham will be decided on Vijay Dashami, Tuesday, October 24 in Badrinath Dham. A religious ceremony will be organized on the premises of Shri Badrinath Temple to announce the date of closure of the doors,” an official statement said. (ANI)

Sara Posts Glimpse Of Her Spiritual Trip To Kashmir

Actor Sara Ali Khan has treated her fans with a glimpse of her spiritual trip to Kashmir.

On Monday, the ‘Gaslight’ actor posted some pictures on Instagram. In the first picture, Sara can be seen offering prayers. She also dropped some videos from the trip.
In one of the videos, she can be seen enjoying herself with children in a tent. In the second video, she can be seen enjoying herself with a little child inside the pool.

Along with the post, she wrote a small note, “Q: Where and How can we find peace? A: Everywhere. Just look within. “

As soon as she shared the post, fans flooded the comment section with heartfelt comments.

Recently, Sara shared a glimpse of her Amarnath Yatra. The video was accompanied by the song ‘Namo Namo’ from her debut movie ‘Kedarnath’. Sharing the video, she wrote, “Jai Baba Barfani.”

Talking about Sara’s work front, she was recently seen with Vicky Kaushal in ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’, which did decent business at the box office.

Her upcoming projects include Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro…In Dino’. Billed as an anthology, the film also features Aditya Roy Kapur, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal and Neena Gupta in lead roles.’Metro…In Dino’, a film that apparently draws its title from the famous song ‘In Dino’ from ‘Life in a… Metro’, will showcase bittersweet tales of human relationships based on contemporary times.

Sara Goes Nostalgic, Visits SSR-Starrer ‘Kedarnath’ Location

Actor Sara Ali Khan on Saturday felt nostalgic during her recent trip to Kedarnath.

Taking to Instagram, on Saturday, Sara dropped a video and penned down a nostalgic note about visiting the same places she had gone while shooting for her debut movie ‘Kedarnath’.

“Some days I wish I could go back in life. Not to change anything, but to feel a few things twice… But I guess today’s moments are tomorrow’s memories ” she captioned the post.

In the video, Sara could be seen eating maggie, enjoying tea and paranthas, and telling viewers about the same eatery she visited during the shoot of her film ‘Kedarnath’. Sara also shared a throwback glimpse of the same spot from the shoot diaries of her film ‘Kedarnath’. Recently she shared a series of pictures where the actor was seeking blessings at the Kedarnath temple.

Soon after she dropped the pictures, fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons and remembered the late Sushant Singh Rajput in the video.

Sara made her big Bollywood debut with director Abhishek Kapoor’s romantic drama film ‘Kedarnath’ opposite late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the year 2018. The film received positive responses from the audience. The plot of the movie was based on the devastating floods which occured in Uttarakhand in 2013.

The film was an inter-faith love story between a wealthy Hindu girl (played by Sara) and a pithoo Muslim boy (played by Sushant). Sushant walked long distances with Sara on his back as a requirement for the film.

Meanwhile, the ‘Atrangi Re’ actor will be next seen in director Laxman Utekar’s next rom-com film ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bach Ke’ opposite Vicky Kaushal. The film is all set to hit the theatres on June 2.

Taking to Instagram, Abhishek shared the pictures which he captioned, “It’s the all-consuming drive to tell a story that gives one the energy to go through incredible hardships and a belief that the story MUST be told. In the pictures, Abhishek could be seen along with late actors Sushant Singh Rajput, and Sara Ali Khan.

Released in the year 2018, ‘Kedarnath’ marked Sara’s Bollywood debut and was declared a big hit at the box office.

Soon after the director shared the post, fans swamped the comment section and dropped red heart emoticons, and remembered Sushant.
