
U’khand: Madmaheshwar Idol Installed At Omkareshwar Winter Seat
The moving idol utsav doli of Lord Madmaheshwar, the second Kedar, has been ceremoniously installed at the winter seat, Omkareshwar Temple in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand.
The atmosphere echoed with devotees’ chants and the recitation of Vedic hymns. To welcome the doli, the temple committee decorated the Omkareshwar Temple with 8 quintals of marigold flowers.
From Saturday onwards, the winter worship of Lord Madmaheshwar will formally begin.
At Brahma Bela today, the chief priest of Madmaheshwar Temple, Shiv Ling, performed Panchang Pujan at Giriya village, invoking Lord Madmaheshwar and other deities, and conducted the ritual aarti. At the scheduled time, the moving idol utsav doli of Lord Madmaheshwar departed for the winter seat at Omkareshwar Temple.
As the doli passed through Phafanj, Salami village, and various pilgrimage halts, villagers welcomed it grandly with flowers and rice grains. Offering clothes and other sacred materials, locals prayed for global prosperity and the well-being of the region.
Upon reaching Mangolchari, Rawal Bhimashankar Ling placed a golden umbrella on the doli as per tradition. Villagers showered flowers and offered a grand welcome at Mangolchari, Brahman Kholi, and Dangwadi, praying for the prosperity of the region.
In the afternoon, the utsav doli of Lord Madmaheshwar was installed at the winter seat, Omkareshwar Temple, where thousands of devotees had darshan and earned blessings. Rawal Bhimashankar Ling also ceremonially relieved chief priest Shiv Ling from his six-month worship duty at the Madmaheshwar Dham. (ANI)
