PM, BJP Are Nexus Of Corruption: Rahul

Launching an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government over allegations concerning the Adani group, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday accused the PM and BJP of being a nexus of corruption and demanded a probe into the Adani matter.

“The nexus between the PM and one businessman is for every person to see. I mentioned in my press conference yesterday that the G20 is coming and India’s credibility, our nation’s credibility that the Prime Minister make his position clear and begin an enquiry on what is happened with regards to Mr Adani,” Rahul added.

He further accused the Prime Minister and the BJP are a nexus of corruption and that is the first thing that the INDIA alliance is going to demonstrate and prove.

“The Prime Minister and the BJP are a nexus of corruption and that is the first thing that the INDIA alliance is going to demonstrate and prove. The idea behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is to extract money from the poor people of this country and transfer it to a limited few. So, we are going to propose a clear path to development,” he added.

Earlier on Thursday, Rahul Gandhi accused the Prime Minister of “being quiet” and said the least that should be done is a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe.

Addressing a press conference here, Gandhi accused the Prime Minister of “protecting one person” and asked “why he is not forcing an investigation”.

Gandhi referred to the G20 Summit being hosted by India and the reports on the Adani group in two British papers and said the allegations impact perception about India.

The Congress leader said the issue affects India’s reputation, especially because of G20 Summit and alleged that PM Modi’s “reputation is on line”.

“…It is very important that the Prime Minister of India Mr Narendra Modi clears his name and categorically explains what is going on. At the very least, A JPC should be allowed and a thorough investigation should take place. I don’t understand why the PM is not forcing an investigation? Why is he quiet and people who are responsible are put behind bars? This is raising very serious questions on the PM just before G20 leaders come here…It is important that this issue is made clear before they (G20 leaders) arrive,” Gandhi said.

Gandhi, who is in Mumbai to take part in the meeting of opposition leaders, said the current flavour is G20 and it is about India’s position in the world.

“What is very important for a country like India is that there is a level playing field and transparency in our economic environment and businesses that operate here. Today morning, two global financial newspapers have raised a very important question. These are not any random newspapers. These newspapers affect investment in India and the perception of India in the rest of the world…,” he said.

“Just before the leaders of G20 are coming here, they are going to be asking what is this special company that is owned by a gentleman close to the PM and why is it in an economy like India this gentleman is being given a free ride?” he asked.

Alleging round-tripping in some funds concerning the Adani group, he asked whose money was involved. He also raised questions about the probe held in the past.

“There was an investigation, evidence was given to SEBI and SEBI gave a clean chit to Gautam Adani…So, it is clear that there is something very wrong here,” Rahul Gandhi said.

“What is amazing to me is that the gentleman who has done the investigation is today an employee of Mr Adani. What does that tell you about the nature of the investigation that the gentleman did? It is pretty clear that no investigation took place and the only reason no investigation took place is because the PM didn’t want an investigation to take place. Mr Adani cannot stop an investigation, the PM can…This is an issue that affects India’s reputation, especially because now there is the G20 taking place and India’s and PM’s reputation is on the line…,”he added.

Months after Hindenburg Research put out a report on Adani Group which allegedly claimed accounting fraud, stock price manipulation and improper use of tax havens, the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) earlier today alleged that two men who it claimed “secretly invested” in the conglomerate turn out to have “close ties to its majority owners”, the Adani family.

The Adani Group has categorically rejected the allegations levelled by the OCCRP, terming the allegations as “recycled”.

“We categorically reject these recycled allegations. These news reports appear to be yet another concerted bid by Soros-funded interests supported by a section of the foreign media to revive the meritless Hindenburg report. In fact, this was anticipated, as was reported by the media last week,” the Indian conglomerate said in a statement.

These attempts are aimed at generating profits by driving down our stock prices and these short sellers are under investigation by various authorities, the statement added.

OCCRP – as per the information on its website – is “an investigative reporting platform formed by 24 non-profit investigative centres”, spread across Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Adani Group had also denied allegations in the wake of the Hindenburg report, stating that the report by the New York-based entity was “nothing but a lie”. (ANI)

Prigozhin A Saint; Modi And Mughal Fort; Chandrayya3

Prigozhin A Saint; Modi And Mughal Fort; Chandrayaan3

Prigozhin The Saint?

The Ukraine war or special operations, depending on which side of the Ukraine LOC one is, has been quite transformative for some people from a western patronage. First the AZOV brigade that was demonised as Nazis by no less than the BBC and The Guardian among others in the west, suddenly became baptised by remote control by the same media into democratic liberal angels when Putin decided to destroy them. It was the fastest metamorphosis of character and needed no psychiatric treatment pathway for rehabilitation. All that happened was that Putin also classified them as Nazis.

A similar baptism seems to have taken place posthumously of Prigozhin the mercenary leader who vanquished in a plane blast. So much coverage has been given to him in the western press that one might be mistaken to think the man was a NATO war hero. In fact more media coverage seems to have been accorded to him than given to the late Queen of England when she passed away.

Reams and reams and multitude of webpages go on about the unforgiving Putin having killed him in revenge. Prigozhin’s plane fell off after what is thought to be a bomb blast and some say missile attacks. Only three months ago media coverage of him was ‘Putin’s dog’ or evil mercenary knowing no ethics or morals. But two months ago this attention seeking man led an unsuccessful armed mutiny against Putin and the Russian government. He became an overnight darling of the ‘Ethics R us’ liberal media in the West.

The ever strategic Putin appears to have played him along, giving him new missions to bomb and spread Wagner evil in the world, while plotting to dismantle Wagner. Prigozhin’s mercenary group got renewed contracts in Africa.

Lately they started to gang up on the Polish border to intimidate Poland. Poland put its forces on alert at the Poland-Belarus border triggering fears of the Ukraine war spilling into an all-out NATO-Russia war, effectively The Third World War. There is no evidence that Putin or Belarus’s Lukashenko were on in this madness. Prigozhin and his massive and well equipped force was obviously out of control and opening a new and dangerous front in the war as a populist move without bothering with the Kremlin. He Prigozhin was his own man and he decided strategy on impulse. His death might have averted a dangerous twist to the Ukraine conflict.

However the tone of much of western media is that he was hard done by Putin, that he was a possible challenge to Putin and could precipitate the end of Putin regime.  He has been promoted as a maverick, a rough person who didn’t fit in the polished elite of the Kremlin and who has been ditched despite the enormous work he did for Russia. There is a sort of adulation of him.

Prigozhin’s speciality was to tape down any man in his outfit suspected of desertion or treason, then crack the skull with a sledgehammer. The sledgehammer was his Wagner group’s logo. His mercenary troops use that and many other brutal methods against ‘enemies’ identified by their paymasters to cause fear. Brutality was their trademark. No human rights there.

Yet none of the headlines sighed that an evil brutal mercenary is dead. There have been obituaries, analysis stating how this ‘assassination’ could lead to end of Putin regime and there has been a queue of western leaders, including Biden, pointing the finger at Putin for this man’s death as if this was the greatest loss to world peace and a travesty of justice. But none saying Putin, if he was indeed behind this death, has done human kind a favour. Extraordinary.

Interesting how western liberals recast the biggest villains into almost saints. All they have to do is be on the wrong side of Putin and evil can be washed away in a second in the western liberal Church. Welcome to the world of liberal soul washing.

Modi And The Invaders’ Qila

Standing atop Lal Qila (Red Fort) proud on Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lamented that India had been under foreign rule for thousand years until 1947 when another Gujarati threw out the last invaders by simply marching up and down in streets and taking a few lathis. A long list of great Hindu rulers were cited by Modi ji as the pedigree to his ascent. Except the man who built the fort where Modiji made his speech, Emperor Shajahan. Or the other Mughals who added to the might and splendour of Lal Qila.

Why do Indian leaders stand triumphantly at the Red Fort while attacking those who built it. Why didn’t Modiji stand on top of his magnificent new parliament building which will be his legacy to an Indian list of wonders of the world architecture but is really a homage to Pythagoras. Or stand on top of gigantic statue of Vallabhbhai Patel from which one can climb on to the clouds. Word has it if a Jack Beanstalk plant is placed on the top of Patel’s head, it is only a short climb to the moon. That could have saved a lot of money on Chandrayaan-3

If the derided invaders did nothing else, at least they built the platform on which every Indian leader stands tall, pretending to be warrior and conqueror. So far the Fort is safe. The Bhakts haven’t yet got around to conjure up a temple underneath although the Architecture Survey of India have found some pottery dating back 2500 years BC. Will that be enough to demolish the Fort and replace it with Modi Qila? Then Mughal history can be wiped out. As it is, Mughals are in the face whether BJP likes it or not.

It won’t be the first time the idea of razing the fort will have happened. The British, before they became semi-cultured, destroyed 80% of the Qila’s magnificent buildings. The British also wanted to demolish Taj Mahal as they thought it was a waste of marble. Luckily the Captain of the forces got distracted with another war.

Did Chandrayaan-3 Fulfil Its Mission?

All I want to know is whether Chandrayaan-3 found if the moon is into ‘pue pakayeen boor ke’. And is Chandamama really eating in a thali while most Indian kids eat in a pyali. No doubt these and other things will be revealed to us by scientists once the pictures are looked at carefully.

For those who were born for and nurtured by social media and missed this, there is an old and beautiful lyric. Many a child grew listening and singing to this.

Chandamama Door ke
Pue Pakaayen boor ke
Aap khaaen Thali mein
Munne ko daen Pyaali mein

modi about Hajj Pilgrimage

Hajj Pilgrimage Very Special For Muslim Women From India This Year: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the Hajj pilgrimage was especially special for Muslim women from India this year, as more than 4,000 such women went on the annual pilgrimage without a Mehram (male guardian).

Addressing the nation during the 103rd episode of his monthly radio broadcast. ‘Mann Ki Baat’, PM Modi termed the Hajj pilgrimage by Muslim women from India, without their male parents or custodians, as a ‘huge transformation’.
He said he received numerous letters from Muslim women, sharing their experiences from the Hajj this year.

“I received a lot of letters (ahead of his latest ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address), which brought me great joy. These letters have been written by Muslim women, who recently returned from the Hajj pilgrimage. Their journey this year was very special in many ways,” PM Modi said.

“These are the women, who performed their Hajj rituals with any male companion or Mehram. And, such pilgrims numbered not 50 or 100, but more than 4,000. This marks a huge transformation,” he added.

PM Modi also thanked the Government of Saudi Arabia for the unique Hajj experience for Muslim women this year.

“Earlier, Muslim women were not allowed to perform Hajj rituals without Mehram. Through ‘Mann Ki Baat’, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Government of Saudi Arabia for making this possible. Women coordinators were specially appointed for women pilgrims, who went on Hajj without male companions,” he said.

According to an official statement, 4,314 Muslim women from India performed the Hajj rituals at Mecca in Saudi Arabia, this year.

The annual pilgrimage was held between June 26 and July 1.

In October 2022, the Saudi Arabian government announced that (Mehram), a male blood relative with whom marriage is not permissible, will no longer be required to accompany a woman pilgrim from any part of the world.

Saudi Removes Restrictions On Hajj Pilgrim Numbers, Age Limit

Every year, millions of Muslims around the world embark on the sacred pilgrimage to Mecca. This spiritual journey holds immense significance in the lives of believers, offering an opportunity to connect with Allah, seek forgiveness, and strengthen their faith. The heartfelt desire to be among those walking to Mina, echoing the Labaik with the crowd, and performing the rituals of Hajj is a sentiment shared by countless Muslims across the globe.

Hajj is a unique manifestation of unity, as Muslims from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and nations gather in the sacred land of Makkah to perform the rituals together.

It draws people from different walks of life towards a common purpose — setting aside their differences, and embracing one another as equals before Allah. (ANI)

Yoshimasa Hayashi in G7 Summit in Hiroshima

Japan FM Appreciates Modi’s Valuable Inputs For Success Of G7 Summit In Hiroshima

Japan’s Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi on Friday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the “valuable inputs for the success” of the G7 Summit in Hiroshima.

Hayashi said that 2023 is a crucial year as both India and Japan hold presidencies of the G20 and G7 respectively.
He extended Japan’s support to India’s G20 presidency, regarding the environment, the concept of LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) introduced by Prime Minister Modi, which asks everyone to live a life that is in tune with the earth, resonates well with our government’s policy.

Talking about food security, Yoshimasa said, “We commend India’s leadership in advancing efforts that pertain to building resilient and sustainable agriculture and food systems, such as launching the Millet and other ancient grains international research initiative (MAHARISHI). We made sure that such efforts by India were included in the Hiroshima Action Statement for Resilient Global Food Security,” he added.

He said that appeal for upholding the free and open international order based on the rule of law may sound like a mere slogan unless the voices of the “Global South” are keenly listened to.

“Prime Minister Modi also emphasized the importance of giving a chance to the “Global South” to raise their voices at the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in March,” he added.

At the G7 Hiroshima Summit, the leaders of the G7 and the invited countries confirmed to strengthen cooperation on global challenges including food, development, health, energy and climate change, and the environment.

He said that G7 Hiroshima Summit addressed various difficult challenges the world is facing at this turning point in history.

“Japan, as the G7 Presidency, emphasized the strengthening of engagement with the so-called “Global South” at the G7 Hiroshima Summit this year,” he added.

“These global challenges cannot be overcome by the G7 alone. They also reaffirmed their strong commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” he added.

He said that food security has been deteriorating due to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. for which, the G7 and the invited countries issued the “Hiroshima Action Statement for Resilient Global Food Security”.

He said that the G20, which brings together the most influential countries of the Global South, is particularly important in addressing such global challenges. Japan is very much eager to continue working hand in hand with India towards the success of the G20 New Delhi Summit.

He added that Japan-India cooperation towards the future of the Indo-Pacific.

“In coordination with India, Japan intends to materialize such a concept by realizing a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” or FOIP,” he added.

In March this year, Prime Minister Kishida announced Japan’s new plan for FOIP here in New Delhi. This fact itself is a reflection of the critical importance Japan places on India, as your nation is an indispensable partner in achieving FOIP, a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.

Modi Shares Hug With Biden At G7 Summit In Japan

Moreover, the efforts to achieve FOIP expand beyond our collaboration with India, and to the whole South Asian region. This new plan makes clear that South Asia is one of the key regions and concrete efforts have been taking place, he said.

Japan has also extended support for the development of the North Eastern Region of India through the “Japan-India Act East Forum”.

Going forward, Japan will continue to contribute to the development of the North Eastern Region of India, by promoting such projects as “the North East Road Network Connectivity Improvement Project” to enhance the connectivity in the region, he said.

“High-level exchanges have acted as the driving force to push forward our security and defence cooperation. We have conducted defence exercises on land, at sea, and in the air, including the first-ever joint fighter exercise in January,” the Japanese Foreign Minister said.

Japan has designated this year 2023 as the “Japan-India tourism exchange year”, and to bolster tourism, he informed.

He further said that India is an integral partner for Japan in terms of the United Nations Security Council reform, where both nations have been working shoulder to shoulder as G4 members to achieve concrete results.

“India and Japan will continue to cooperate through international organizations and multilateral frameworks. He said that India is an integral partner for Japan in terms of the United Nations Security Council reform, where we have been working shoulder to shoulder as G4 members to achieve concrete results. We have also promoted practical cooperation in a wide-range of fields through the Quad,” the Japanese Foreign Minister said.

Speaking further on economic ties he said that Japan is encouraging its companies to increase investment in India. For eg. Prime Minister Kishida also set a target of 5-trillion-yen public and private investment and financing to India in the next five years from 2022.

“We have been encouraging Japanese companies to increase investment in India. Prime Minister Kishida set the 5-trillion-yen target of public and private investment and financing from Japan to India in the next five years from 2022. At the same time, we will work together with the Indian government to effectively address the difficulties that Japanese companies face in the Indian market,” the Japanese Foreign Minister said.

“The outlook for our collaboration in the economic field is promising. Prime Minister Modi has placed economic growth as one of his top priority agendas and has promoted various economic initiatives including Make in India, Digital India, and Clean India,” Yoshimasa said.

He added, “As a measure to promote investment, Prime Minister Modi has identified 15 key sectors including telecommunications equipment, automobiles, and applied chemical batteries that are eligible for subsidies. All of this have led to the remarkable growth in Japanese investment into crucial technologies such as medical equipment, electronics and household electric appliances”.

Speaking on the high-speed rail project, which is the flagship project between Japan and India, he said that the Japanese bullet train project will connect Mumbai to Ahmedabad, a distance of approximately 500 kilometres, and is expected to improve the efficiency of transportation as well as promote economic development in areas along the high-speed rail. AAP Contesting UP Municipal Polls For Entertainment: Radha Mohan Singh

Former union minister and BJP leader Radha Mohan Singh took a jibe at Aam Aadmi Party’s plan to contest upcoming municipal elections in Uttar Pradesh said AAP is contesting elections for entertainment purposes only.

“Arvind Kejriwal’s party earlier contested assembly elections and now contesting municipal elections for entertainment only. The public is smart and won’t waste their vote,” said the minister.
Radha Mohan Singh has reached Moradabad in regard to civic body polls and held a meeting with the workers. Praising the BJP candidate contesting for polls, Singh said, “Vinod and the whole of his family are involved in social works and people are showing full support, I hope BJP will be winning the mayor’s seat as well.”

Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath came down heavily on the previous governments for the “mafia raj” in the state.

Addressing public meetings in three districts on the day, CM Adityanath talked up the benefits of the “double-engine government” in the state before the people.

Amid the continuing backlash from the Opposition over the prevailing law and order situation in the wake of the killing of jailed politician-turned-gangster Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf in Prayagraj, the CM said there was not a single instance of riot or curfew in the state on his watch and all was well with UP.

Tearing into the erstwhile “mafia raj” in the state, the CM said there is no one left now to shed tears for hardened criminals. “The mafia raj in Uttar Pradesh is now consigned to history,” CM Adityanath said, urging the public to vote for a “triple-engine government” to give more thrust to the state’s development.

He added that the same would happen only if the people resolve to help the BJP take control of the state’s municipal bodies. The CM kicked off the wave of rallies from Maharaj Singh Degree College ground on Janta Road in Saharanpur.

“Today, there is no curfew and no riots in UP. Everything is fine,” the CM said, adding that extortions and abductions for ransom no longer take place in the state and UP had ceased to be a “family’s personal fief”. “Mafias and criminals have become a thing of the past in UP,” the CM added.

“The UP of today stands as a symbol of security, prosperity and employment,” Adityanath said, adding, “Our state is no longer known for curfews but for the Kanwar Yatra. Our identity is not violence but to set aside our differences and celebrate all festivals together. This is not a land of the mafia but of festivals. Now it is up to us to decide whether there should be terror in our cities or should we make them safe. Do we want to see pistols in the hands of our youth or tablets?”

He added that there was a time when mafias and gangsters would threaten people but now all such elements have vanished and there is no one to shed tears for them. “I don’t know where the extortionists have gone. Those who imposed curfews during their rule would come asking for votes from you. Do not pay attention to them,” the CM said.

The first phase of polling will be held on May 4 for municipal corporation seats including among others PM Modi’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s home constituency Gorakhpur. (ANI)

Modi Launches Saurashtra-Tamil Sangamprashastih Book

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched the book ‘Saurashtra-Tamil Sangamprashastih’ by Shree Somnath Sanskrit University during the closing ceremony of ‘Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam’.

PM Modi addressed the closing ceremony via video conferencing.

According to Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the program’s genesis lies in the vision of PM Modi of promoting the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat through initiatives that bring out and help rediscover the age-old links between people in different parts of the country. With this in mind, the Kashi Tamil Sangamam was organized earlier.

The Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam takes forward this vision by celebrating the shared culture and heritage between Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.

Centuries ago, many people migrated to Tamil Nadu from the Saurashtra region. The Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam provided an opportunity for Saurashtrian Tamils to reconnect with their roots, said the PMO statement.

The 10-day confluence saw more than 3000 Saurashtrian Tamils come to Somnath on a special train. The program began on April 17, with its closing ceremony now being held on April 26 at Somnath. (ANI)
