Give Priority To India: Shah At 62nd Raising Day Of ITBP

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday paid tributes at the 62nd raising day of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and said that the service which started 62 years ago has emerged as a strong face of nation’s security.

Speaking at the ceremony, Home Minister Amit Shah said “ITBP, which started 62 years ago with 7 divisions, has today emerged as a strong force with 60 divisions, 17 training centres, 5 frontiers and 2 commando headquarters with 1 lakh personnel. When your family needs you, the country needs you at the same time but you give priority to the country. Today the quota of our Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) on the lines of army in aviation and rail has decided which will be beneficial for you all.”

Further, Amit Shah spoke about the building which will help the soldiers posted at high level at -45 degrees Celsius.

“Self-Sustainable Energy Building, it has been e-launched today. At an altitude of 17,000 feet, it will become a symbol of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. This is a unique gift from PM Modi and the Home Ministry. When diesel and kerosene are not available at -45 degrees, this building will provide a safe environment for our soldiers. Its work has been completed within just 2 months. I would like to congratulate all behind this,” he said.

“One thing Modi ji had thought about was whether drones could deliver life-saving items to villages located at high altitude. Today the first drone has reached a remote area carrying 15 kg of medicines and vegetables, this is a big start,” he added.

ITBP, one of the Central Armed Police Forces working under the Ministry of Home Affairs, is responsible for guarding the 3,488 km of India-China border running along Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and the Union Territory of Ladakh from the Karakoram pass in Jammu and Kashmir to Jechap La in Arunachal Pradesh.

“On the request of the Home Ministry, PM Modi has approved 7 ITBP battalions. This has happened for the first time in the history of ITBP. 1 Sector Headquarters will be built at a cost of Rs 3000 crore. Preparation for 4 battalions has started. This will reduce the load on you people and will also share the responsibilities,” Amit Shah said.

The Home Minister also pressed on the ‘Vibrant Village Project’ launched to provide every facility to every village at high altitudes and remote areas.

“Now Modi ji has taken ‘Vibrant Village Project’. This is a new concept. Earlier, we used to call the village on the border, the last village of the country. But PM Modi went there and said that this is not the last village but the first village of the country. It is necessary to provide all the facilities to those villages. For this, this project has been made. In the initial stage, there is a population of 10 lakh in 19 districts comprising 46 blocks and 62 villages. A budget of Rs 4800 crore has been allocated for this,” he added.

Further, speaking on the changes, Amit Shah said that after the revoke of Article 370, there has been a decline in terrorism in all the indicators in Kashmir.

“A lot of changes have taken place in the country. After the removal of Article 370, terrorism has been controlled. There has been a decline in all the indicators. There have been successes in the Northeast also. There has been a 65 percent decline in those incidents and we have also seen an 80 percent decline in militancy activities,” Home Minister said. Cong Insulted Ambedkar Throughout His Life: Shah

Hitting out at Congress, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that the grand old party insulted the chief architect of the Constitution, BR Ambedkar throughout his life.

The Union Home Minister was addressing a public gathering in Shivpuri, an Assembly constituency currently represented by incumbent BJP MLA Yashodhara Raje Scindia. Yashodra Raje is not contesting this election.

Shah said that today Bharatiya Janata Party has the maximum number of MPs and MLAs from the Scheduled Castes (SC) across the country.

Today they (Congress) roam around with Ambedkar ji’s photo. If any one party has insulted Ambedkar ji throughout his life, it is the Congress party. As long as its government was in power, the party didn’t let Bharat Ratna be conferred to him (Ambedkar). (Congress) always conspired to ensure that Ambedkar ji did not come to Parliament,” Shah said.

He said that, whereas, the BJP has done many works dedicated to the socio-political reformer.

“BJP built Shiksha Bhoomi in Mau, a memorial in London…And when we got the opportunity, we made Ramnath Kovind, the son of a Dalit, as the President,” the minister said, adding that his party has the maximum number of MPs and MLAs from the Scheduled Castes (SC) across the country.

Highlighting that the double-engine government transformed Madhya Pradesh from a ‘Bimaru Rajya’ to a ‘Bemisal Rajya’, Shah, during his address, urged the public to bring back the BJP to power in the poll-bound state.

“While casting your vote do not think that you are voting to elect an MLA, CM or bringing BJP to power. But while voting, keep in mind that the double-engine government transformed Madhya Pradesh from a ‘Bimaru Rajya’ to a ‘Bemisal Rajya’…Your one vote will ensure whose government will be here in the next five years. On one side there is the Congress which kept Madhya Pradesh in darkness for many years, making it a ‘Bimaru’ state. On the other side is the BJP government, which has worked for the welfare of farmers, Dalits, backward classes, women, tribals and youth in the 18 years,” Shah said.

Launching barbs at Kamal Nath led Congress government in the state, Shah said, “Whenever Congress ruled, it only worked to fill its houses. Whereas BJP worked for development.”

“Today I have come to tell Kamal Nath that if he has even a little courage he should answer, when he left Madhya Pradesh in 2002, the budget here was only Rs 23 thousand crores. Today, the budget here has increased to Rs 3 lakh 14 thousand crore during the 18 years of BJP rule,” Shah added further.

Madhya Pradesh is set to undergo polls in one phase on November 17. The counting of votes for the 230-member Assembly will take place on December 3. (ANI)

Baghel A Pre-Paid CM Of Cong, His Validity Has Ended: Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is a ‘pre-paid CM’ of Congress and that the validity of his talk time has ended.

The Union Home Minister alleged that Bhupesh Baghel has made Chhattisgarh the ATM of the Congress.

“If Baghel becomes the Chief Minister again, then thousands of crores of rupees will be withdrawn by swapping the ‘pre-paid’ cards daily,” Shah said while addressing Vijay Sankalp Maharally in the Pandariya Assembly constituency here.

During his address, the minister urged the public to vote for Bhawna Bohra, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate from Pandariya in the November 7 (first phase) polls.

“When you all go to vote, do not vote to elect an MLA or a minister…Your vote shapes the future of Chhattisgarh…Your vote is to end Naxalism and make the Adivasi region a developed region,” he said.

“Bhupesh Baghel is looting the people of Chhattisgarh. The person who wants to develop his politics cannot do the welfare of Chhattisgarh. That is why I say that he is a ‘pre-paid CM’ of Congress. Even by mistake, if Bhupesh Baghel becomes the Chief Minister again, then thousands of crores of rupees will be withdrawn by swapping the prepaid cards daily. If all this money goes to Delhi, then how will Chhattisgarh develop?” Shah added.

Sharpening his attack further, he said that the pre-paid CM’s validity has now ended.

“This (pre-paid) CM, his validity was only this much, talking time was only this much. The way in which a pre-paid SIM card stops working when money gets over, in the same way, this CM’s time will be over when money will end. He has done many scams in five years so that his time does not get over,” Shah said further.

The elections for the 90-member Chhattisgarh Assembly will be held in two phases, with the first phase of polling for 20 seats scheduled on November 7 and the remaining 70 seats to go for polling on November 17.

The counting of votes will be done on December 3.

Congress stormed to power in Chhattisgarh in the 2018 elections, winning 68 out of 90 seats. The party had a vote share of 43.9 per cent. BJP won 15 seats and had a vote share of 33.6 per cent. (ANI)

Killers of Two Manipuri Students Arrested: CM Biren

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Sunday said the “main culprits” responsible for the abduction and murder of two students, the disturbing images of whom surfaced on social media last week, have been arrested.

The two Manipuri youths had reportedly gone missing on July 6.

Fresh protests erupted in the Northeast state on September 25 after a video clip purportedly showing the mortal remains of the missing youths — Phijam Hemanjit and Hijam Linthoingambi — went viral on social media.

Taking to the social media platform X on Sunday, Chief Minister Singh posted, “I’m pleased to share that some of the main culprits responsible for the abduction and murder of Phijam Hemanjit and Hijam Linthoingambi have been arrested from Churachandpur today.”

“As the saying goes, one may abscond after committing the crime, but they cannot escape the long hands of the law. We are committed to ensuring maximum punishment, including capital punishment, for the heinous crime they have committed,” he added in his post.

Later, speaking to ANI, Singh said through the joint efforts of security personnel, four people, allegedly involved in the murder of the two youths, have been arrested.

“In a major breakthrough, we have arrested the main culprits responsible for the abduction and murder of two youths in the state. Union Home Minister Amit Shah had sent the Special Director of the CBI, along with some senior officers, to Manipur and, today, with the support of the Indian Army, paramilitary forces, Assam Rifles and the state police, we managed to arrest the four accused persons in the case from Churachandpur. This marks a major breakthrough. I wish to thank the NIA, CBI and all the central forces for helping us catch the culprits,” he told ANI.

Meanwhile, he also thanked Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the arrest of Seiminlun Gangte, an accused in the transnational conspiracy case, by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday.

He said, “The NIA, which took over the case, issued a press release yesterday that the incident in Manipur was akin to waging a war against the Indian Union. It identified Kuki militants from Myanmar and Bangladesh, along with some home-grown miscreants, as being behind the incident. This clearly shows that there is a bigger conspiracy afoot. I want to thank the NIA, the central government, the people of Manipur and especially, PM Modi and Union HM Amit Shah, for helping us blow the lid off the bigger conspiracy.”

Gangte, who was sent to two-day NIA custody earlier on Sunday, was arrested in a case related to a transnational conspiracy by Myanmar and Bangladesh-based leadership of terror outfits to wage war against the Centre by exploiting the current ethnic unrest in Manipur. The case was registered suo moto by the NIA on July 19 in Delhi.

Earlier, on Thursday afternoon, senior officers of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) held a meeting at the Manipur Police Headquarters in Imphal to discuss the law and order situation in the state.

Manipur has been racked by violence since May 3, following the protests by the Kuki and Meitei communities against the High Court’s order asking the state government to consider the inclusion of the Meitei community in the category of Scheduled Tribes (ST). (ANI)

Dilli Ka Darbaar Can Do Nothing Good For C’garh: Shah

Coming down heavily on the Congress in Chhattisgarh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said ‘Dilli ka Darbaar’ can do nothing good for the state.

At an event to unveil the BJP’s ‘Aarop Patra’ (list of charges) against the Chhattisgarh government in the state capital, Raipur, the Union Home Minister said, “The upcoming state assembly elections are not just about a change of regime but it is also about securing the future of Chhattisgarh. The people have to decide if they want to give another term to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s corrupt government or vote for a development-oriented government by the BJP in the state. Dilli ka Darbaar (oblique reference to the Gandhi family) can do nothing good for Chhattisgarh. It is only the BJP, which can save the state from corruption,” Shah said.

“If voted to power, the BJP will put the state on the path of development and progress. We have unveiled the ‘Aarop Patra’ today to make the people aware of the corruption and scams that happened under the Congress government. Since 2018, when they (Congress) came to power, they have done nothing other than looting the state and the people,” Shah added.

Praising the previous BJP government in the state, Shah said, “While Raman Singh (former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister) was at the helm of affairs, the state made noticeable progress and took forward strides on all yardsticks of development. He provided free ration to every household. People started calling him ‘Chawal wale Baba’ (the leader who provided rice free of cost).”

“We even reserved 50 per cent seats for women candidates during the panchayat elections. Chhattisgarh was recognised as an education hub, power hub, cement hub, and an aluminum hub,” the Home minister said.

Coming down heavily at Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Shah said, “What have you (Baghel) given to the state? All you did was loot the poor and work for the benefit of the Gandhi family. He should present a detailed account of what he has done in the years he has been in power. He does not even remember the promises he made to the people of Chhattisgarh.”

The BJP, in its ‘Aarop Patra,’ alleged that the Congress government encouraged Naxalism in the state and got BJP workers killed.

“The Congress party promised to construct 200 food parks in the state but could not make even a single one of them,” the party alleged further in the Aarop Patra.

“The party promised to provide potable water to every household but could not provide the same to even half of them. It spent Rs 600 crores of public money for promotional activities. The Congress also threatened journalists and suppressed their rights,” the BJP added.

The ‘Aarop Patra’ also accused the ruling party of giving “leeway to criminals for its own political benefits”.

“The Congress party gave blatant leeway to criminals for its own political benefits and made the state a hub of drug peddlers and addicts,” the BJP alleged further in its ‘Aarop Patra’.

“The people of Chhattisgarh gave us 10 of the 11 seats in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and all seats in 2019. I am hopeful that the people of Chhattisgarh will bless the BJP again in the upcoming Assembly elections and the Lok Sabha elections next year,” he said.

“CM Bhupesh Bagghel is accountable for the corruption that happened on his watch. He did not fulfil the promises he made to the farmers, youth, women and people belonging to the Scheduled Tribes (STs) in the state,” Shah added.

“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we are confident that we will make the country the third-biggest global economy,” the Union Home Minister said.

The Chhattisgarh Assembly polls are scheduled to be held later this year. (ANI)

Cong Stalled Ram Temple Construction, Amit Recalls Kalyan’s contributions

Union Home Minister Amit Shah appealed to people in Uttar Pradesh to vote BJP to all 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh in the ensuing 2024 Lok Sabha polls, which he said will be a fitting tribute to the late party stalwart Kalyan Singh.

Addressing a gathering in Aligarh on the second death anniversary of Kalyan Singh, a prominent OBC leader and Chief Minister of the state said, “Let the lotus (BJP’s election symbol) bloom on all the 80 seats in UP in 2024, this will be your true tribute to Babuji.”

The BJP is organising ‘Hindu Gaurav Diwas’ in Aligarh as a mark of respect for the former chief minister whose birthplace is Aligarh and who passed away on August 21 in Lucknow in the year 2021.

Kalyan Singh was chief minister during the time of the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition.

The Union Minister lashed out at the previous Congress regime in the state for stalling and diverting the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya since the time of Independence. However, he said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not delay the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ of the temple.

Shah further said, “Today I have come to pay my homage to a senior BJP leader, a devotee of Ram, a person who pioneered the welfare of the backward.”

Shah said that the late leader had told him that he had achieved his life’s goal the day the foundation stone of the Ram Temple was laid.

“I was in the hospital due to Corona that day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Shri Ram Mandir. That day I called Babu Ji, and he told me that his life’s goal has been fulfilled,” the union minister said in his address.

“Kalyan Singh ‘Babuji’ insisted on three goals. The first was to speed up the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement, the second was the welfare of the poor and the third was the welfare of the backward society without disturbing the social harmony,” Shah said.

“Since Independence, the Congress party was stalling the issue of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, was diverting it, but PM Modi, after the decision of the court on the issue of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, without delay performed the Bhoomi Pujan of Ram Temple,” Shah said.

Lauding the efforts of PM Modi, the union minister said, “Today we are happy that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, in the beginning of 2024, we will get to see Lord Ram sit in his grand temple after 550 years.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, both Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak and BJP state unit chief Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary were present on the occasion.

Earlier today, Amit Shah took to microblogging app X, to post in Hindi, “For the first time, Kalyan Singh ji started a fear-free and corruption-free governance in Uttar Pradesh. Babuji was a huge banyan tree, under whose canopy the organization flourished in Uttar Pradesh and the BJP reached the masses. His unique contribution to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement cannot be forgotten. Babuji, who dedicated his whole life for the country and countrymen, will always be a source of inspiration for the workers. Hundreds of salutes to him on his death anniversary.” (ANI)

Union Home Minister Amit Shah

Shah Introduces Three Bills In LS For Revamping Criminal Laws, Replace IPC, CrPC, Indian Evidence Act

Three bills of momentous significance aimed at replacing British-era laws with a thrust on “justice instead of punishment” were introduced in Lok Sabha by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the last day of the monsoon session of Parliament.

The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 and The Bharatiya Sakshya Bill 2023 were introduced in the Lower House of Parliament.  Amit Shah said that the bills are being referred to the Standing Committee for scrutiny.

While the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 seeks to replace IPC 1860, Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita 2023 seeks to replace Criminal Procedure Code and Bharatiya Sakshya Bill 2023 will replace the Indian Evidence Act, 1872.

Home Minister said that the bills are not aimed at giving punishment but rendering justice.  He said the bills have been introduced after extensive consultations.

The key provisions of the legislation include repealing sedition, a new penal code against mob lynching, death for rape of minors and first-time community service as one of the punishments for petty offences.

The offences against women and children, murder and offences against the State have been given precedence. New offences of terrorist acts and organised crime have been added to the Bill with deterrent punishments.

New offences added on acts of secession, armed rebellion, subversive activities, separatist activities, or endangering sovereignty and unity of India and there is one-year imprisonment for bribing voters during elections.

The Bharatiya Sakshya Bill 2023 provides that ‘evidence’ includes any information given electronically, which would permit the appearance of witnesses, accused, experts and victims through electronic means.

It provides for admissibility of an electronic or digital record as evidence and it shall have the same legal effect, validity and enforceability as paper records. The bill seeks to expand the scope of secondary evidence to include copies made from the original by mechanical processes, copies made from or compared with the original, counterparts of documents as against the parties who did not execute them and oral accounts of the contents of a document given by some person who has himself seen it and giving the matching hash value of original record will be admissible as proof of evidence in the form of secondary evidence.

It seeks to put limits on the facts which are admissible and its certification as such in the courts. The proposed Bill introduces more precise and uniform rules of practice of courts in dealing with facts and circumstances of the case by means of evidence.

The Evidence Act was enacted in the year 1872 with a view to consolidating the law relating to evidence on which the court could come to a conclusion about the fact of the case and then pronounce judgment.

It came into force on September 1, 1872.

The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023  proposes to repeal the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.

It provides for the use of technology and forensic sciences in the investigation of crime and furnishing and lodging of information, and service of summons, through electronic communication.

Specific timelines have been prescribed for time-bound investigation, trial and pronouncement of judgements.

The bill states that a citizen-centric approach has been adopted for the supply of copies of the first information report to the victim and to inform them about the progress of the investigation, including by digital means.

In cases where the punishment is seven years or more, the victim shall be given an opportunity of being heard before the withdrawal of the case by the Government. The summary trial has been made mandatory for petty and less serious cases.

The accused persons may be examined through electronic means, like video conferencing. The magisterial system has also been streamlined.

The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 regulates the procedure for arrest, investigation, inquiry and trial of offences under the Indian Penal Code and under any other law governing criminal offences. The Code provides a mechanism for conducting trials in a criminal case. It gives the procedure for registering a complaint, conducting a trial and passing an order, and filing an appeal against any order.

The bill states that delays in the delivery of justice due to complex legal procedures, large pendency of cases in the courts, low conviction rates, low level of uses of technology in the legal system, delays in the investigation system, complex procedures, inadequate use of forensics are the biggest hurdles in speedy delivery of justice, which impacts poor man adversely.

It also notes that the experience of seven decades of Indian democracy calls for a comprehensive review of our criminal laws, including the Code of Criminal Procedure and adopt them in accordance with the contemporary needs and aspirations of the people and that the government is committed to making a comprehensive review of the framework of criminal laws to provide accessible and speedy justice to all.

The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 seeks to repeal the Indian Penal Code to streamline provisions relating to offences and penalties. It is proposed to provide first-time community service as one of the punishments for petty offences.

The statement of objects and reasons of the bill says that offences against women and children, murder and offences against the State have been given precedence. “The various offences have been made gender neutral. In order to deal effectively with the problem of organised crimes and terrorist activities, new offences of terrorist acts and organised crime have been added to the Bill with deterrent punishments. A new offence on acts of secession, armed rebellion, subversive activities, separatist activities or endangering the sovereignty or unity and integrity of India has also been added.

The fines and punishment for various offences have also been suitably enhanced. (ANI)

Tahawwur, The 26/11 Accused To Face Indian Judiciary Soon: Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said that Tahawwur Rana, an accused of the 26/11 Mumbai attack will face the Indian judiciary soon.

While speaking in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday during the debate on No-Confidence-motion moved by the Opposition, Shah highlighted the measures taken by the Modi government to curb terrorism and Naxalism.

“We banned PFI in the country and conducted raids at over 90 locations in the country. Cases regarding attacks on our missions in London, Ottawa and San Francisco were handed over to NIA (National Investigation Agency). 26/11 Tahawwur Hussain Rana will also soon face the judiciary in India,” Shah said.

Rana was arrested in the US on an extradition request by India for his role in the Mumbai attacks in which 10 Pakistani terrorists laid a more than 60-hour siege, attacking and killing over 160 people, including six Americans, at iconic and vital locations in Mumbai.

Indian authorities allege that Rana conspired with his childhood friend David Coleman Headley to assist the Pakistani terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba ” in the orchestration of the terror attacks.

Headley and Rana attended military high school in Pakistan together.

Rana’s immigration law centre in Chicago, as well as a satellite office in Mumbai, was allegedly used as a front for their terrorism activities between 2006 and 2008, prosecutors say.

Headley, the master plotter of the 26/11 Mumbai attack, had pleaded guilty and testified against Rana. Rana is fighting extradition by claiming double jeopardy because he was acquitted of Mumbai massacre charges in a Chicago federal courtroom. Rana is arguing that he has already been acquitted of the charges he would face overseas.

However, Shah further said that terrorism was eradicated from Jammu and Kashmir after Prime Minister Narendra Modi formed a government at the Centre.

“In the view of internal security, there used to be three hotspots- Kashmir, the region of Naxals and Northeast and it continued to be the same for years. We changed our policies towards Kashmir in 2014. From 2014 to 19, Rajnath Singhji was Home Minister, and after that, I became Home Minister. We eradicated terrorism in the region,” Shah said.

“Naxals limited to only 3 districts in Chhattisgarh now…,” he added.

Hitting out at the previous government at Centre, Shah said that the UPA government was there from 2004 to 2014 and terrorists would just enter across the border and cut our soldiers’ heads off, no one did anything about it.

He further said, “We will talk to the youth of Kashmir valley, not Hurriyat, Jamiat and Pakistan.” (ANI)

CISF Campus Mahipalpur Amit Shah

Shah Inaugurates Aviation Security Control Centre For Airports

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday inaugurated the newly established Aviation Security Control Centre (ASCC) at CISF Campus Mahipalpur in the national capital.

DG CISF Sheel Vardhan Singh, Tapan Kumar Deka, Director, IB, Zulfiquar Hasan, Director General BCAS, and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
The CISF was inducted at airports for the first time in February 2000. After two decades, currently, CISF is providing security cover to 66 airports out of 134 operational airports in the country, including extremely busy and hypersensitive airports like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Jammu, Srinagar, and Amritsar.

In order to monitor the security functions and resource utilization on a real-time basis, Security Operations Control Centres (SOCCs) are functional at every airport.

These SOCCs serve as nerve/nodal centre for the collection and dissemination of important information 24×7, especially during contingencies.

Over a period of time, due to increased air traffic and passenger load, current security scenario, evolving nature of threat perceptions and geographical spread of airports across the country, a need was felt for centralised monitoring of incidents and events occurring at airports to resolve them on a real-time basis.

To fulfil the aforesaid requirement, CISF has established a Modern state-of-art centralised Aviation Security Control Centre, integrating the SOCCs of all 66 airports.

The control centre is also equipped with cutting-edge technologies like a data centre, R-D Lab and War room.

The salient features of the centre include 24×7 real-time data monitoring and trend analysis of passengers and air traffic.

“This facility will provide realistic input about pax traffic at a given point of time and help in mobilising the resources for optimum utilisation. Some of the aspects covered are- Bomb threat calls, VVIP movement highlights, major incidents, pax clearance time, utilisation of security gadgets, queue management system etc,” the CISF said.

All 66 airports are now connected through VPN and IP telephonic systems and can be accessed at any point of time by the senior officers during the time of any contingent situation.

The CISF further said that the centre will also perform the trend analysis of real-time data to enhance the effectiveness of decision-making at higher levels.

“Research will be done on advanced and AI-based aviation security equipment available worldwide, with comparative analysis of different equipment and its applicability at Indian airports. Resolution of social media feedback by monitoring popular social sites,” it said, adding that the newly established ASCC will play an important role in its quest to play a greater role in aviation security and the future of the force.
