Parineeti Misses Co-Stars SSR, Rishi

‘Shuddh Desi Romance,’ starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra, Vaani Kapoor, and Rishi Kapoor completed 10 years on Wednesday.

Marking the tenth anniversary of the romantic comedy film Parineeti recalled the enjoyable times she had with her late co-stars Sushant and Rishi.

Parineeti Chopra posted a video on her Instagram account that includes scenes from the set of the movie. She captioned the post, “Time really flies! A decade to this film but the memories are still fresh. This movie was a journey full of laughter, hectic shoots but heartwarming moments.

She added, “What an experience shooting this film with such legendary actors. Rishi sir, we miss you. Sushant, miss you even more. You were one of my favourite co-stars. #10YearsOfShuddhDesiRomance.”

Fans swamped the comment section as soon as she released the video since they too had missed their favourite actor.

A fan wrote, “The charm of this movie was God-level… Missing Sushant Singh Rajput…”

“Always miss you ssr,” another user wrote.

A social media user wrote, “Miss him so badly @sushantsinghrajput.”

Meanwhile, ‘Shuddh Desi Romance,’ released in 2013 is directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra.

The movie explores the complexities of modern relationships in urban India. It tells the story of a young man named Raghu, played by Sushant Singh Rajput who has a fear of commitment and falls in love with two women, Gayatri, played by Parineeti Chopra and Tara, played by Vaani Kapoor.

Alia Remembers Rishi On His 71st Birth Anniv

Actor Alia Bhatt remembered her late father-in-law and veteran actor Rishi Kapoor on his 71st birth anniversary.

Taking to Instagram story, Alia shared a throwback picture of her husband Ranbir Kapoor holding his father’s photo frame during their wedding festivities.

Ranbir made his late father Rishi a part of the mehendi ceremony by holding his photo in his hand while dancing.

Sharing the photo, she wrote, “always with us..always.”

Earlier today, Rishi Kapoor’s wife Neetu shared a video featuring Rishi’s iconic songs on her Instagram.

She captioned the post, “In remembrance,” followed by a joined hands emoticon.

Apart from Alia and Neetu, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also took a stroll down memory lane and dropped a super cute picture from her childhood days.

The image shows little Riddhima and little Ranbir posing stylishly with their dad Rishi Kapoor.

“Happy Birthday papa (white heart emoji). Miss you a little more today…,” she captioned the post.

Rishi and Neetu got married on January 22, 1980, and share two children, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and superstar Ranbir Kapoor.

Back in the 70s and 80s, the couple starred in several hits together like ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, ‘Khel Khel Mein’, ‘Rafoo Chakkar’, ‘Kabhi Kabhie’, ‘Besharam’ and many more and inspired generations with both their on-screen and off-screen romance.

Often branded as Bollywood’s first chocolate boy, Rishi touched the heights of stardom in the film industry with iconic roles in blockbuster hits like ‘Bobby’, ‘Chandni’, ‘Karz’, and many others.

Rishi Kapoor died on April 30, 2020 at the age of 67. He was suffering from Leukemia. He was in New York for a considerable amount of time for his treatment. Neetu was there for him as a rock-solid partner through thick and thin.

Neetu and Riddhima keep on sharing fond memories of the late actor on their social media post.

His last film, Sharmaji Namkeen was shot with Paresh Rawal as the actor’s some portion of films were incomplete.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Alia is currently enjoying the success of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. She will be next seen in ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.

Recently, she won the Best Actor award (Female) at the 69th National Film Awards for her performance in the film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.

Alia has shared the Best Actor (Female) award with actor Kriti Sanon who also bagged the title for her performance in the film ‘Mimi’.

Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ revolves around a maiden sold by a suitor into prostitution and how she becomes a prominent and celebrated figure in the underworld and Kamathipua red-light district. Alia’s stellar performance in the film helped her bag the Best Actress Award at IIFA 2023 and Filmfare Awards 2023.

Neetu, on the other hand, was last seen in ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’, co-starring alongside Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani.

She will be next seen in the film ‘Letters To Mr Khanna’ with Sunny Kaushal and Shraddha Srinath. The official release date of the film is still awaited. (ANI)

Asin divorce rumours

Asin Refutes Divorce Rumours With Husband Rahul Sharma

‘Ghajini’ and ‘Ready’ film actor Asin, on Wednesday, refuted the rumours of divorce with her husband Rahul Sharma and called it “utterly baseless”.

Taking to Instagram, Asin shared a note on her stories and wrote, “In middle of our summer holiday right now, literally sitting across each other enjoying our breakfast and came across some very imaginative and utterly baseless ‘NEWS’. Reminds of the time we were sitting at home together with our families planning our wedding and we heard that we had broken up Seriously?! Pls do better. (Disappointed to have wasted 5mins of an otherwise wonderful holiday on this!) Have a great day you guys.”

The rumours started surfacing on social media after she reportedly deleted all her pictures with her husband except one from her Instagram account. She has also removed her wedding photos from her social media profile.

Asin married Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma in January 2016. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter Arin in October 2017.

After her marriage Asin decided to quit the film industry.

She was last seen in 2015’s comedy ‘All Is Well’, co-starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor and Supriya Pathak.

She was a part for several big hit Bollywood films like ‘Ghajini’, ‘Ready’, ‘Bol Bachchan’, and ‘Housefull 2’ among others.

Veteran actor Neetu Kapoor, on Sunday, remembered her husband late Rishi Kapoor on the occasion of their 43rd wedding anniversary.

In the family picture, Neetu and Rishi could be seen posing with Ranbir and Riddhima from their childhood days in front of a flower wall.

Soon after she dropped the pictures, fans flooded the comment section with red heart emoticons and heartfelt messages for the couple.

Another fan wrote, “Nice family memories.. all are looking lovely.”

Rishi and Neetu got married on January 22, 1980. Unfortunately, on April 30, 2020, Rishi Kapoor passed away after battling cancer for two years.
