Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh Liquor Scam

AAP Launches “Aapka Ram Rajya” Website To Showcase Party’s Works

On the occasion of Ram Navami and in line with the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections, the Aam Aadmi Party launched a website on Wednesday named “Aap ka Ram Rajya” to showcase the party works being done inspired by Ram Rajya in Delhi and Punjab.

The party’s senior leaders, Sanjay Singh, Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Jasmine Shah, addressed a press conference here today and released the website.

MP Sanjay Singh said that the Aam Aadmi Party’s governments in Delhi and Punjab have done such work, and examples are being given by countries around the world.

“In these 10 years, we not only formed the government thrice in Delhi but also formed the government in Punjab with an overwhelming majority. The Kejriwal government in Delhi and the Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab have done such work, whose examples are being given by the countries of the world today. Delhi is the only state that has a profitable budget despite doing so much work. We are determined to fulfil our vision of Ram Rajya on the ground,” he said.

“Those who want to see our imagination of Ram Rajya must visit our website. What work have we done in Delhi and Punjab? You can see all that and then join us,” Sanjay Singh added.

Further, AAP minister Atishi said that as Lord Ram faced a lot of struggle for Ram Rajya, in the same way, Arvind Kejriwal had to go through a similar struggle to fulfil the promises made to the people of Delhi and Punjab.

“Being inspired by Ram Charit Manas, Kejriwal ji has said that he has been working for the last 9 years to fulfil the promises made by him to the people of Delhi and Punjab. Lord Ram had to face a struggle to fulfil Ram Rajya. He went into exile for 14 years but did not break his promise. Kejriwal also had to go through a similar struggle,” she said.

Atishi also pointed out that the party launched the website based on Ram Rajya to show the people of the country what can be done if they vote in the right place.

“He (Kejriwal) sends a message from jail, asking if the water, electricity, and health arrangements in Delhi are fine or not. Kejriwal considers the two crore people of Delhi as his family. The work we have done in Delhi and Punjab is being shown to the entire country through the website “Aapka Ram Rajya”. We are doing this so that the people of the country can be told how their lives can change if they cast their vote at the right place,” she added. (ANI)

'Surya Tilak' Ram Lalla

Ram Lalla’s Forehead Illuminates With ‘Surya Tilak’ On Ram Navami

The Ram Temple in Ayodhya witnessed a unique event as the forehead of the Ram Lalla idol was anointed with a ray of sunlight, known as ‘Surya Tilak’ on the occasion of Ram Navami on Wednesday.

The “Surya Tilak” of Ram Lalla was done at noon through an elaborate system connected with mirrors and lenses in the Ram Temple.

The temple trust had commissioned a team of scientists to make this occasion possible. Using scientific expertise, a beam of light illuminated Ram Lala’s forehead. To achieve this phenomenon, sunlight was precisely directed onto the statue’s forehead using a combination of mirrors and lenses. This was carried out precisely at 12 noon for about 3 minutes.

Even as Ram Lala was to be anointed with the Surya Tilak, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a reference to the historic occasion in his election rally at Nalbari Assam. With a chant of Jai Siyawar Ram the PM said “Today is the historic occasion of Ram Navami. After waiting for 500 years, Lord Ram has been seated in his grand temple. Now after a few minutes, by applying Surya Tilak to Lord Ram, his birth anniversary will be celebrated in the holy city of Ayodhya, in the Ram Temple.”

The moment of the Surya Tilak had devotees in raptures as chants of Jai Shri Ram were heard across Ayodhya and even in temples across the country. Devotees broke out into song and dance outside the Ram Janambhoomi Mandir. This is the first Ram Navami after the Pran Pratishtha of the idol of Lord Ram by PM Modi on January 22 in Ayodhya.

Ram Navami is being celebrated with great pomp at Ram Janambhoomi Mandir with offerings of 56 types of bhog, prasad and panjiri.

Earlier, Acharya Satyendra Das, Chief Priest of Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, informed that everything has been decorated and the idol of Lord Ram has been specially dressed for the day, “He is dressed in yellow clothes, and after this he is bathed with Panchamrit. Four-five types of panjiris are made and along with that, 56 types of offerings are made to the Lord.”

A large number of devotees thronged Ram Mandir on Wednesday morning in a vibrant display of faith and celebration. Before visiting the temple, devotees took a dip in the holy waters of the Saryu River.

The darshan at the temple had started at 3:30 am. The celebration was broadcast on about 100 LED screens throughout the city. It was also broadcasts on the trust’s social media accounts. (ANI)

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav

Rahul Says, BJP Will Limi To 150 Seats

Addressing a joint press conference with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said there is a strong undercurrent in favour of the opposition INDIA bloc in the Lok Sabha elections and the BJP will be limited to 150 seats.

“I do not do prediction of seats. 15-20 days ago I was thinking the BJP would win around 180 seats but now I think they will get 150 seats. We are getting reports from every state that we are improving. We have a very strong alliance in Uttar Pradesh and we will perform very well…” the former Congress president said.

When asked about whether he will contest the general elections from Amethi or Raebarelli, Gandhi said, “This is the BJP’s question; very good. Whatever order I get, I will follow it. In our party, all these (selections of candidates) decisions are taken by the CEC.”

Elaborating on the party’s manifesto for the elections, Gandhi said, “In the last 10 years, PM Modi has reduced the system of employment generation by demonetization, by implementing the wrong GST and by supporting big billionaires like Adani. The first task is to once again strengthen employment, and for that, we have given 23 ideas in our manifesto. One idea is the revolutionary idea of the right to apprenticeship. We have decided that we will give the right to apprenticeship to all the graduates and diploma holders in Uttar Pradesh. There will be training and we will deposit Rs 1 lakh per year in the bank accounts of the youth and we are giving these rights to crores of youth. We will make a law for paper leaks as well.”

The sentiment of the former Congress president was also echoed by the Samajwadi party Chief who said that the INDIA bloc had emerged as a hope for the people.

“INDIA alliance is the new hope in the elections and as Rahul ji said that there are many things in his manifesto by which poverty can be eradicated. Adding to that I want to say that the day the farmers of our country will become happy, the day the farmers of the country will start getting remunerative prices for their crops, I understand that all the political parties and especially those who are the partners of INDIA alliance are saying that they will give MSP and the day the Indian government increases the income of the farmers, poverty will go away…”

The Congress is contesting only 17 seats in Uttar Pradesh in alliance with the SP, the two parties had also allied in 2017 during the assembly elections under the banner of “UP ke Ladke”. However that alliance failed to have any impact with the BJP winning the election by an overwhelming three-quarters majority of 325 seats

Voting in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases.

The Ghaziabad seat will witness a triangular contest. The BJP has declared Atul Garg as its candidate from the Ghaziabad constituency after Union Minister and the sitting BJP MP from Ghaziabad, Gen (retd) VK Singh, withdrew himself from the fray for the Lok Sabha polls.

Garg is set to face the INDIA bloc candidate and Congress leader Dolly Sharma, while the Bahujan Samaj Party has fielded Nand Kishore Pundir. In the 2019 general elections, proving all the arithmetic of the SP-BSP ‘mahagatbandhan’ in Uttar Pradesh wrong, the BJP and its ally Apna Dal(S) won 64 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats. The SP-BSP won 15 seats. (ANI)

Mutts Play Major Role In Karnataka With Followers In Different Castes

Mutts are religious institutions, many of which were established several centuries ago. In Karnataka, there are thousands of big and small mutts followed by different castes and communities, such as Lingayats, Vokkaligas, Kurubas, Valmikis, Nayakas and Madigas. Among these, Lingayats have more than a thousand mutts in Karnataka alone.

Nath Sampradaya Kadari Mutt is situated in Dakshin Kannada’s Mangalore. Devotees from all over India visit this place to seek the blessing of Pithadiswar. Additionally, the mutt houses Kal Bhairav, Shiva, and many living samadhis.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shares a special bond with Mangaluru. Adityanath is the president of the Akhila Bharata Yogi Mahasabha and has visited Mangaluru several times. He also participated in the anointing ceremony of the new ‘raja’ of the Kadali Yogeshwar (Jogi) Mutt. The ceremony known as Paryaya Raja Pattabhisheka is held once every 12 years.

Suraj Kamat, a resident of Mangaluru, who is the manager of Kadri Mutt, said that “earlier, Kadri Yogeshwar Mutt was called Kadli. Parashuram ji had done penance, this is a holy place, there is a temple of Kaal Bhairav ji, which is a monastery of the Nath sect.”

“There are 12 panths of the sect. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, is the President of the Kadri Mutt. People of all ideologies come to the Mutt and seek blessings,” Kamat said.

“The Mutt was established when Machedranath ji and Gorakshanath ji came to South India to preach. From that time till now, Peethadhishwar has become the king every 12 years. The king changes every 12 years, whenever Yogi ji comes to Bengaluru towards Udupi. When CM Yogi Adityanath comes, he does not stay in the hotel, he stays here in Mutt,” Kamat said.

“People from all the communities of Megaluru are connected here. All the people come here for the darshan of Guruji. The Jogi community which is the community of Karnataka comes here for the darshan of Kaal Bhairav Ji. Their entire community worships and does service here in Jogi Mutt. People from all the communities come to the monastery of the Nath sect to seek the blessings of Raja ji i.e. Guru ji,” Kamat added.

Shan is a devotee of the Guru of Kadri Mutt. He has been coming to the Mutt since childhood.

He said “I have been coming to the Mutt for about 15 years to serve. I am from Karnataka and live in Mangalore. Kadri Mutt is a very ancient place. I am here to serve Guruji. I come to have the darshan of the Guru. Nath sect has been present in the whole country since ancient times and Guru is at the top of the Guru place. We come to seek his blessings. Many people come here for darshan.”

Ayodhya Nath Ji Maharaj said, “I have been here for a few months, I was in Rajasthan, this is a Siddha land, it is a Tapobhoomi, whoever comes here feels very good, they get peace and feel very good here.”

Bharat Singh Solanki, a follower of Kadri Mutt, is from the Jalore district of Rajasthan and has been serving the Mutt for 16 years.

“People from all over the country come here for darshan, especially on Guru Purnima, which is Guruji’s birthday. At that time, we come here and there are four functions in 12 months,” he said. (ANI)

Astra Mark 2 air-to-air missile

India To Test 130 Km Strike Range Astra Mark-2 Missile In 2024

In a major capability boost for the Air Force’s fighter fleet, India is planning to carry out the first test of the 120–130 km strike range Astra Mark 2 air-to-air missile in next few months.

The Astra Mark-1 air-to-air missile with strike range of around 90–100 kms is already in the Indian Air Force and is already integrated with the LCA Tejas and the Su-30 MKI fighter jets.

The work on developing the 120-130 km strike range Astra Mark-2 air-to-air missile is going on and we are looking to carry out the first test firing in the next few months, defence officials told ANI.

The Astra Mark 2 would give the Indian Air Force an edge over the adversaries in air-to-air combat and can also be offered as an export product to friendly foreign countries operating the Russian origin Sukhoi, they said.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation has been working towards developing the Astra Mark-1 and Astra Mark 2, along with a longer version, the Astra Mark-3, which would give it a capability similar to the Meteor missiles that have come to India along with the Rafale fighter jets.

The Pakistanis may have long-range Chinese PL-15 air-to-air missiles but there is no clarity about the claims made by them about its capabilities.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has already signed a contract with Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) for supplying Astra Mark-1 beyond visual range air-to-air missiles (BVRAAM) for the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Navy. (ANI)

Mamata Banerjee

TMC Has Given Permission To Bangladeshis, Rohingyas To Change Demography In Bengal: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday alleged that Trinamool Congress has given permission to illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants to change the demography of West Bengal and disturb law and order in the state to boost its vote bank.

Addressing an election rally in Raiganj, Prime Minister Modi said, “Those who suffered from partition and were against partition, they (TMC) don’t want to give them citizenship. TMC is against CAA, they keep spreading false rumours about it. TMC has given permission to Bangladeshis, Rohingyas to change demography and disturb law and order in Bengal. They are under TMC’s protection. To boost their votebank, TMC is playing with the future of West Bengal.”

Prime Minister Modi further said that those who governed West Bengal for several years halted the development of the state.

The list (of Centre’s work in West Bengal) is so long that even several hours will not be enough to count them. We have to take the country and Bengal way ahead. These works are not just the achievements of BJP Government but also the document of the black deeds of Congress, Left and the TMC. Those who governed Bengal for several years pushed back Bengal. But I would like to tell you that the development of Bengal is the priority of Modi,” he said.

On the Sandeshkali incident, the Prime Minister said that Trinamool Congress leaders openly tortured the women there, adding that a civilised society cannot even imagine such things.

“Sandeshkkali shocked India and the whole world. TMC leaders openly tortured women there. A civilised society cannot imagine such things. Hooligans have been given permission to operate freely by TMC,” said PM Modi while adding that TMC does not allow voters to vote independently, but their leaders threaten voters.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that the ruling Bengal party “ate up MGNREGA funds” and has no interest in Bengal’s development.

“TMC wants to keep Bengal poor so that its business keeps thriving. In TMC’s Bengal, the granting of permissions is not decided by the law but by the ‘tolabaaz’ and goons of TMC. Shobha Yatra for Ram Navami is not permitted. For that, the devotees have to approach the Court. But those who pelt stones on the shobha yatras of Ram Navami and Durga Puja have been granted all the permission by TMC,” he said.

Earlier today, the BJP released its 12th list of seven candidates for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday.

The party has fielded Abhijit Das (Bobby) against Trinamool Congress general secretary and Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee in the Diamond Harbour constituency, a seat considered a stronghold for the ruling West Bengal Party.

Polling in the 42 parliamentary constituencies in West Bengal will be held on April 19, April 26, May 4, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1.In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the TMC won 34 seats in the state, while the BJP had to settle for just 2 seats. The CPI (M) won 2 seats, while the Congress bagged 4.

However, the BJP came up with a much-improved showing in the 2019 polls, winning 18 seats against the TMC’s 22. The Congress’s tally dropped to just 2 seats, while the Left scored a blank. The counting of votes has been scheduled for June 4. (ANI)
