Kejriwal To Vacate House, Give Up Security: Sanjay Singh

AAP MP Sanjay Singh on Wednesday confirmed that Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will move out of his house and leave all the facilities provided to him.

Following Kejriwal’s recent resignation, Singh highlighted the sacrifices made by the Chief Minister, noting that he plans to forgo the facilities typically afforded to his position.

“I have full faith that the people of Delhi will give Arvind Kejriwal a certificate of honesty with a huge majority. He has served the people of Delhi with complete honesty and sincerity. The Chief Minister gets many facilities. Arvind Kejriwal has also got those facilities. Yesterday when he resigned, the first thing he said was he would leave all these facilities. He said he will vacate his house within 1 week,” Singh said while addressing a Press conference on Wednesday.

Singh also raised concerns about Kejriwal’s safety, citing multiple attacks against him.

“There is also a question about his security. He was attacked not once but many times, we told him and tried to explain that his security is in danger. People of the Bharatiya Janata Party have attacked him,” Singh said.

He added that the former Delhi Chief Minister, who was granted Z-plus security, will now give up his security and benefits, claiming that “God will protect him.”

“We tried to explain to him that this house is important not only because he is the Chief Minister but also for his security. But he decided that God will protect him,” Singh said.

“He (Kejriwal) mentioned that he spent six months in jail among dangerous criminals, yet he felt protected by God. He stated that only God will safeguard him and that he is not concerned about the house, which is why he has chosen to leave it. He intends to move out and live among the common people, though it’s still undecided where he will go,” Singh said, referring to Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

On Saturday, Kejriwal announced that he would resign and would not resume as the CM until the people of Delhi declared him “honest.” He has also called for advancing polls in the national capital to November this year, ahead of the scheduled February elections.

Kejriwal stated that if re-elected by the public, it would serve as a “certificate” of his honesty. He added that he would push for early elections, alongside those in Maharashtra.

The announcement by the 54-year-old leader came two days after he was released from the Tihar jail after being granted bail by the Supreme Court in a corruption case related to the alleged Delhi Excise Policy scam.

The apex court also imposed certain conditions on Kejriwal’s release, including that he must refrain from making public comments about the case and must attend all hearings before the trial court unless exempted. (ANI)

Manipur Crisis Has Roots In Colonial Push For Evangelism-I

This is the first section of a two-part series on the subject:

Following the British colonial era, Manipur has witnessed several ethnic conflicts, including uprisings led by the Naga and Kuki tribes against the colonial authorities. The dispute in Manipur is not only about race; it is a tinderbox created by decades of evangelical endeavours that is currently being used by international forces eager to establish a tactical footing in the region. In this article, we shall find out how the roots of Manipur crisis go back to the evangelical push in the north-eastern parts of India during and after the British Raj and are part of a larger game plan.

Several theories have been circulating, for some time, about the West involvement into the present crises in Bangladesh and Manipur. A review of the statements made by Sheikh Hasina, the former prime minister of Bangladesh, a few months ago also highlights this submission. On May 23, 2024, Hasina wrote that she had received a proposal from “a white person” to allow his country to establish an army base in Bangladesh, with the assurance that she “wouldn’t have to fear about the upcoming election in January” if she granted the request. According to her, there was also a plan to establish “a Christian state, like East Timor… by means of taking components of Bangladesh (Chattogram) and Myanmar, with a base in the Bay of Bengal.” This plan, in accordance with her, additionally covered components of Mizoram, Manipur, and different North-eastern states of India.

There has been speculation in social media that the US is in search for a foothold in this region, allegedly, by facilitating an impartial Christian ‘Zo’ state. This nation would incorporate areas of Bangladesh, Myanmar, Manipur and Mizoram, inhabited by way of the Christian Kuki-Chin-Mizo people. Establishing a Christian-majority state in a largely non-Christian zone would supply a strategic stronghold for the West in Southeast Asia.

Additionally, it is noteworthy that certain sections of the Kuki populace are closely worried about poppy cultivation and drug trafficking from Myanmar. Currently, the identical Christian Kukis, many of whom are unlawful immigrants from Myanmar into Manipur, are in conflict with the native Meitei community, which is predominantly Hindu. It is believed that with the fall of Hasina, there were efforts to return the Christian Kukis, helping them establish a base and setting up a drug trafficking zone between India, Bangladesh, and Myanmar. This is precisely what Hasina had warned about.

The Conversion of Northeast India to Christianity

Involvement of the US in the Northeast components of India is no longer a current development, having started a long way lower back in the nineteenth century. One of the predominant troubles in the Northeast these days is the rampant Christian conversions through Western evangelists, which have persisted unabated when you consider the nineteenth century. This has considerably altered the demographics and socio-political panorama of at least three Northeast states—Mizoram, Nagaland, and Meghalaya—since India’s independence. Manipur, as soon as a predominantly Hindu-Sanamahi state, now has a Christian populace of forty-one per cent, up from eight per cent in 1931. While there are giant populations of Hindus in city areas, the hilly components of Manipur are now usually Christianised.

The Christian conversion threat entered northeast India around 1870, with the arrival of British and American evangelists, however the conversions had been gradual at that time. While British missionaries subsequently gave up after encountering difficulties, American missionaries were relentless, persevering in their efforts to convert the nearby population. These proselytization efforts had been generally carried out by way of imparting the so-called “superior Western structure of education” via missionary colleges and via introducing Western standards of ‘feminism’ amongst tribal women, which aimed at doing away with them from their age-old standard roles. Owing to the chronic efforts, by 1931, the Christian populace in the Northeast states rose to around fifteen percent.

Conversions have been chiefly done by imparting unique privileges and advantages to tribe individuals who transformed to Christianity, benefits that have been denied to non-Christians. These new converts, seeing the advantages, remained loyal to the British authorities for their obtain and did no longer take part in the Indian nationalist movement. The British government, in turn, extended its funding to Christian missionaries to speed up the conversion method in the Northeastern components of India.

However, prior to the beginning of World War II, British and American impact in the Northeast weakened, and besides political backing, the missionaries had been quickly pressured to leave. As a result, the Northeast skilled a mild decline in Christianity between 1931 and 1941. However, matters rapidly changed, and the Nineteen Forties and Fifties noticed a substantial surge in the unfolding of Christianity in Northeast India. During this period, Mizoram grew to be ninety per cent Christian, whilst Nagaland grew to be forty-six per cent Christian.

The two primary drivers for this unanticipated development of Christianity are as follows:

• The first purpose used to be the arrival of the American Southern Baptist Church, which is extraordinarily fanatic in its conversion methods. This church, which adheres carefully to the unique structure of Christianity, is the equal church that presently exists in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, conducting mass conversion programmes.

• The second purpose was Jawaharlal Nehru who facilitated the speedy Christianisation of the Northeast after Independence. In 1942, Britain’s Sir Reginald Coupland arrived in India to make certain that the missionary reach in the Northeastern states remained uninterrupted and that proselytization would proceed to keep the loyalty of contributors of the ‘crown colony.’ It was once at this time that Coupland deliberated a separate condo comprising the Northeast states of India and Burma, which had loyal Christian tribal hill people, and Nehru agreed.

So, after Independence, a state of affairs arose that placed tribal rights in the Northeast states have been intentionally neglected and grew to become non-existent whilst overseas evangelists had been given free rein. Missionaries grew to be Nehru’s “advisors,” and he observed their orders. One identity that wishes a different point out right here is that of Dr Verrier Elwin, a Christian evangelist masquerading as an “anthropological advisor” to Nehru. Verrier and Nehru interestingly signed a settlement that disallowed Hindu sadhus from coming into Nagaland.

BJP Patriots vs. Corrupt Cong: Shah In Haryana

Targeting the Congress ahead of the Haryana assembly polls, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday that on one side stands the BJP, a group of patriots, and on the other, the Congress, a group of corrupt individuals.

Addressing a public rally here, Shah accused the Congress party of being experts in spreading fake narratives.

“They claimed that Agniveer soldiers would have neither work nor pensions. But I want to tell you that under the Agniveer scheme, soldiers are receiving 20 per cent reservations in police services. Congress is also keen on playing appeasement politics in Haryana,” he said.

“Elections will be held in Haryana on October 5, and your vote will decide the state’s future. There are two forces in this election: on one side, the BJP, a group of patriots, and on the other, the Congress Party, a group of corrupt individuals,” Shah added.

The Union Home Minister also stated that if the people elect the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana for the third time, the party will work for the welfare of OBCs, Dalits, farmers, soldiers, and athletes.

He further highlighted the development in Faridabad, noting that a new railway station has been built at a cost of Rs 262 crore, with multi-level parking facilities.

“Seven new trains have been introduced in Faridabad. Under the PM Street Vendor’s Atmanirbhar Nidhi scheme, loans were provided to 30,000 street vendors. Our goal is to create a developed Haryana and a developed India, while theirs (Congress) is to promote their own family,” Shah said.

“The Congress party wants to drag Haryana into its politics of appeasement. Rahul Gandhi and his associates have an agenda to reinstate Article 370 in Kashmir. But I say, Rahul Gandhi, no matter how hard you try, as long as the BJP exists, Article 370 will never be restored,” he declared.

Voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5, with the last date for filing nominations being September 12. The vote count will take place on October 8, alongside that of Jammu and Kashmir.

In the 2019 assembly polls, the BJP emerged as the single largest party with 40 seats, while Congress secured 30. (ANI)

A bench led by Chief Justice of DY Chandrachud and also comprising justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra made these remarks when it was informed about the West Government decision to prevent women on working night shifts and beyond 12 hours.

The court made these remarks when it was hearing on suo motu petition on the rape and murder of a doctor in state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, West Bengal

The court questioned the West Bengal Government notification that barred women for doing night duties and women doctors cannot working beyond a 12-hour-shift.

However Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for WB Govt, said that they will remove it. Senior Advocate Sibal for WB also said that it was temporarily and a part of recent security measures.

Ganesh Puja congress britishers

British Opposed Ganesh Utsav, Now Cong Is Agitated: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi drew parallels between British rule and the Congress and said that the people who are trying to “divide and rule” have problems with Ganesh Puja.

While addressing an event in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday, the Prime Minister alleged that the British, during its rule in India, had problems with Ganesh Utsav and added that people who are “hungry for power” have issues with Ganesh Puja.

This comes in the backdrop of the recent controversy triggered by PM Modi attending Ganesh Puja at Chief Justice DY Chandrachud’s residence.

“Ganesh Utsav is not just a festival of faith for our country. Ganesh Utsav played a very important role in the independence of our country. The British, who worked on the policy of ‘Divide and Rule’, were irked by the Ganesh Utsav. Dividing us in the name of caste was a weapon of the British. Today also, the people who are trying to divide and break Indian society are irked by Ganesh Utsav. People who are hungry for power have an issue with Ganesh Pooja. The people of Congress and its eco-system are agitated because I attended Ganpati Poojan,” PM Modi said.

“In Karnataka, where they are in power, they committed an even bigger sin. They put Lord Ganesh’s idol behind bars. The whole country is disturbed because of those pictures. We cannot let these hateful elements move forward. We have a lot to achieve yet,” he added.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the Subhdra scheme, which is a flagship scheme of the Odisha government that was launched today. “I had said that if the double-engine government would be formed then Odisha will reach new heights of development,” he said.

“Today, witness the fulfilment of our promises at an unprecedented pace! We vowed to open all four doors of Bhagwan Jagannath Temple upon forming the government, and we have delivered the same. The Ratna Bhandar is now open too. The BJP works tirelessly, day and night, serving the people,” he added.

PM Modi also emphasised that the third NDA government was completing its first 100 days at the Centre and said, “Today marks the 100th day of the NDA government at the Centre. During this period, big decisions have been taken for the empowerment of the poor, farmers, youth and women.”

The Prime Minister also recalled an emotional moment with his mother and also thanked one of the beneficiaries who fed him ‘kheer’ during his visit to their house, reminding him of his mother.

“Before coming here, I went to the home of an Adivasi family to attend their Grih Pravesh event. My sister in that family gave me Kheer to eat. And when I was eating that kheer, it was obvious that I missed my mother. When my mother was alive, I always used to visit her on my birthday to seek her blessings. My mother used to feed me ‘Gud’ (jaggery) by hand. She is not there anymore but my Adivasi mother fed me Kheer and gave me birthday blessings,” he said.

PM Modi interacted with beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana-Urban in Bhubaneswar. The Prime Minister, along with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, visited the houses of several beneficiaries while they shared their queries.

He also stressed the importance of Hyderabad Mukti Diwas and said, “The country is celebrating Hyderabad Mukti Divas today. At the time of independence, the opportunists were ready to break India into pieces to gain power. Sardar Patel came forward and united the country. He controlled the anti-India extremist powers in Hyderabad and freed it on September 17.”

“Hyderabad Mukti Divas is not just a date but an inspiration for us regarding our responsibilities towards our country. We also have to pay attention to those challenges that are trying to push the country backwards,” he added.

PM Modi earlier laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various development projects worth Rs 3800 crore in Bhubaneswar. He also launched and dedicated to the nation several projects in the state. He released the 1st instalment of assistance to nearly 10 lakh beneficiaries under PMAY-G in around 14 states.

The Griha Pravesh celebrations for 26 lakh beneficiaries of PMAY (Gramin and Urban) from across the country were held during the program. PM Modi also handed over the keys to their house to PMAY (Gramin and Urban) beneficiaries. He also launched the AWS+ 2024 app for a survey of additional households for PMAY-G. Further, the Prime Minister launched the Operational Guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0.

The Prime Minister launched ‘Subhdra’, the flagship scheme of the Government of Odisha, in Bhubaneswar. It is the largest, single women-centric scheme and is expected to cover more than 1 crore women. Under the scheme, all eligible beneficiaries between the ages of 21 and 60 would receive Rs 50,000 for 5 years between 2024-25 to 2028-29. An amount of Rs 10,000 per annum in two equal instalments will be credited directly to the beneficiary’s Aadhaar-enabled and DBT-enabled bank account. On this historic occasion, the Prime Minister initiated the fund transfer into the bank accounts of more than 10 lakh women. (ANI)
