Hindenburg Reports Were ‘Supari’ Taken Against India’s Rising Economic Power: BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday slammed Hindenburg Research after it announced its decision to shut operations, alleging that the US-based short seller’s reports were ‘supari’ taken against India’s rising economic power.

Speaking to ANI, BJP Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla alleged that Hindenburg’s report was sponsored, organised, orchestrated and manipulated act of economic anarchism and economic terrorism.

“Hindenburg report was ‘supari’ taken against India’s rising economic power. This report was a sponsored, organised, orchestrated and manipulated act of economic anarchism and economic terrorism…Rahul Gandhi, your international alliance partner Hindenburg has shut its shop, now when will you stop your propaganda against India? What is your relationship with Hindenburg? Was it a Soros-sponsored report? Today, Congress should clarify and apologise. Congress and its eco-system are anti-national,” Poonawalla said.

Poonawalla also termed the US-based short seller’s reports as nothing short of an act of economic anarchism and economic terrorism.

“What is evident from the news that has just emerged that Hindenburg has shut down its shop, then it was nothing more than a motivated, sponsored, organised and targeted attack directed to de-stabilise the Indian economy. It was nothing short of an act of economic anarchism and economic terrorism,” Poonawalla said.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Amit Malviya questioned Hindenburg Research’s decision to disband, noting that it came at a time when the US Department of Justice was planning an investigation into the firm’s operations.

In a post on X, Malviya said, “Hindenburg Research’s decision to disband comes as little surprise, coinciding with the Trump administration’s transition into office. As the US Department of Justice plans to investigate the firm’s operations, it’s worth reflecting on how Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party relied on Hindenburg’s reports. They frequently held press conferences and disrupted parliamentary proceedings, basing their actions on findings from this dubious George Soros-funded organization.”

Malviya further added, “Hindenburg and its sponsors targeted the Indian stock market, which sees massive participation from retail investors, with the Congress party acting in alignment with their sinister agenda.”

The founder of the US-based short seller Hindenburg Research, Nate Anderson, announced on Thursday that he has decided to close down the operations of his investigative firm.

Anderson shared this decision through an official statement. He revealed that the decision to disband was not due to any external threats, personal health, or major issues. Instead, it was motivated by a desire to step back from the intensity of his work and focus on other aspects of life.

In January 2023, Hindenburg published a report accusing the Adani Group of financial irregularities, leading to a significant drop in the company’s stock price. The group at the time had rubbished these claims. The Adani group has repeatedly denied all the accusations in the Hindenburg Research report.

In June this year, while addressing the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Adani Enterprises, Group Chairman Gautam Adani said they were “faced with baseless accusations made by a foreign short seller, that questioned our decades of hard work.”

“In the face of an unprecedented attack on our integrity and reputation, we fought back and proved that no challenge could weaken the foundations on which your Group has been established,” he told the gathering. (ANI)

Swami Vivekananda: A Timeless Beacon of Wisdom & Unity

Swami Vivekananda, one of India’s foremost spiritual leaders, left an indelible mark on humanity through his profound teachings and vision for a better world. His ideas, deeply rooted in ancient Indian wisdom, continue to resonate with extraordinary relevance in the modern era, offering transformative solutions to the challenges of the 21st century. From inspiring personal development to advocating societal transformation, his teachings provide enduring guidance for individuals and nations alike, lighting the path toward progress and harmony.

Vivekananda’s call for universal brotherhood and interfaith harmony serves as a beacon of hope in a world increasingly divided by religious, cultural, and ideological differences. At the 1893 Parliament of the World’s Religions in Chicago, his groundbreaking address captivated audiences with its profound emphasis on the unity of all religions and the need for mutual respect. Declaring, “We believe not only in universal toleration but we accept all religions as true,” Vivekananda appealed for global harmony. His assertion that all spiritual paths lead to the same divine truth challenges humanity to rise above petty sectarianism and divisive dogmas. Today, as the flames of intolerance fuel conflicts across the globe, his message underscores the urgent need for dialogue, understanding, and coexistence among diverse communities. His vision compels individuals and societies to embrace diversity, fostering bridges of compassion and understanding that transcend superficial differences.

Swami Vivekananda’s belief in the transformative potential of youth was central to his vision for a rejuvenated society. He regarded young minds as the backbone of a nation’s progress, urging them to cultivate self-confidence, discipline, and a resolute sense of purpose. His famous exhortation, “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached,” continues to inspire young people striving for excellence in various spheres. To Vivekananda, youth were not merely the inheritors of the future but the architects of societal change, capable of transforming their energy, idealism, and innovation into powerful forces for progress. In an age marked by distractions and uncertainties, his teachings encourage young individuals to harness their potential constructively, contributing meaningfully to society. By emphasizing moral courage and ethical behavior, Vivekananda’s philosophy equips the youth to address modern challenges with resilience, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to higher ideals.

Vivekananda’s vision of education extended far beyond the confines of academic learning. He championed a holistic approach that nurtures character, moral values, and the spirit of inquiry. According to him, “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man.” True education, in his view, empowers individuals to face life’s challenges with courage and wisdom. In today’s world, where education often prioritizes rote learning and material success, Vivekananda’s perspective advocates for a balanced system that fosters intellectual, emotional, and spiritual growth. His call for blending ancient wisdom with modern knowledge offers a framework for creating an education system that not only imparts skills but also instills virtues such as empathy, perseverance, and self-awareness. By aligning education with the holistic development of individuals, his teachings lay the groundwork for a society that values both competence and compassion, inspiring a generation of enlightened individuals capable of leading with vision and humanity.

In the fast-paced modern world, where many individuals grapple with stress, anxiety, and a pervasive sense of emptiness despite material success, Vivekananda’s teachings on spirituality provide a roadmap for achieving inner peace and fulfillment. He urged people to discover their true selves through meditation, selfless service, and devotion. His philosophy harmonizes spiritual and material pursuits, offering a path to leading a meaningful and balanced life. Vivekananda’s concept of ‘Practical Vedanta,’ which advocates applying spiritual principles in daily life, equips people to transcend mundane struggles and achieve a profound sense of purpose and connection with the universe. By reminding humanity of the inherent divinity within each individual, he encouraged self-belief and the pursuit of higher ideals, bridging the gap between worldly endeavors and spiritual aspirations.

Vivekananda was also a visionary advocate for the empowerment of women, recognizing their pivotal role in shaping a just and prosperous society. He passionately called for the education and upliftment of women, asserting that no society could progress without their active participation. “There is no chance for the welfare of the world unless the condition of women is improved,” he declared, emphasizing the need for equality and inclusion. In today’s world, where gender disparities persist, his teachings inspire efforts to dismantle patriarchal structures and promote inclusivity. Vivekananda regarded women as custodians of culture and morality, urging them to pursue education, independence, and self-realization. His forward-thinking views continue to serve as a guide for fostering a more equitable society where women can contribute fully and freely, enriching humanity with their unique strengths and perspectives.

While Swami Vivekananda was a passionate advocate for Indian culture and heritage, he also envisioned a world united by shared values and mutual respect. He encouraged Indians to take pride in their roots while embracing global perspectives, embodying a dual vision of nationalism and universalism. His statement, “Each nation has a message to deliver, a mission to fulfill, a destiny to reach,” reflects his belief in the unique contributions of every culture to global progress. In an era of globalization, where fostering cultural identity and international collaboration are equally vital, Vivekananda’s teachings inspire nations to strike a balance between preserving their traditions and participating in the global exchange of ideas and innovations. His vision of global citizenship calls for unity in diversity, reminding humanity of its shared destiny and collective responsibility.

Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy of selfless service remains a cornerstone of his teachings. Declaring, “Man service is service to God,” he emphasized the transformative power of helping others. His call to alleviate suffering and uplift the marginalized aligns seamlessly with the principles of modern social justice movements. In an age marked by growing inequality and environmental crises, his teachings inspire individuals and organizations to work toward a more equitable and sustainable world. Vivekananda’s idea of service transcends mere charity, advocating for empowerment and systemic change that addresses the root causes of inequality. By fostering a sense of responsibility toward the less fortunate, he urged humanity to build a world founded on dignity, compassion, and collective well-being.

Swami Vivekananda’s teachings transcend the boundaries of time and geography, addressing the fundamental issues of human existence with timeless wisdom. His vision of a harmonious world, empowered individuals, and enlightened societies continues to shine as a guiding light in the modern scenario. By embracing his ideals of universal love, self-realization, and selfless service, humanity can navigate the complexities of contemporary life with courage and clarity. His call to rise to the highest potential invites every individual to contribute to a future rooted in peace, progress, and unity. As the challenges of the 21st century test humanity’s resilience and vision, Vivekananda’s legacy remains a source of inspiration, guiding us toward a world where dignity, compassion, and understanding prevail. In a world yearning for solutions to division and despair, his message offers hope and direction—a timeless reminder of the enduring power of wisdom and the boundless potential of the human spirit.

‘Female Coaches At Noida Gyms Are Welcome But Don’t Taint Male Trainers’

Nidhi Garg, a fitness enthusiast from UP, says a female trainer may help women feel safer in a gym but expertise, and not gender, should be the key to select one’s coach. Her views:

As a 45-year-old woman who’s been hitting the gym regularly for several years, I have mixed feelings about Noida’s new rule mandating female trainers at gyms, pools, and yoga centres. Fitness has been such an important part of my life, and I’ve had the privilege of working with both male and female trainers. While I know why this rule might make sense for some people, I think it’s worth digging a little deeper into what this really means for everyone involved.

Let’s start with the positives. For many women, especially older ones, having a female trainer can make them feel more at ease. I’ve met plenty of women in their 50s and 60s at the gym who just don’t feel comfortable opening up to male trainers about their fitness goals or physical struggles. Having a female trainer around can really help these women feel more confident and motivated to keep showing up. In that sense, this rule could be a great way to encourage more women to embrace fitness, and that’s undeniably a good thing.

But here’s the thing: we can’t ignore the fact that this rule might unfairly affect male trainers. Over the years, I’ve trained with male instructors who were not only incredibly professional but also genuinely invested in my progress. Once you get to know someone and build trust, their gender stops mattering.

Not every male trainer is out to take advantage of their female clients—in fact, most of them are just trying to do their jobs well. And let’s be real, men in this line of work are often just as cautious. They know how easily an allegation can ruin their career, so they’re careful to maintain professionalism at all times.

For me, it’s never been about whether my trainer is male or female. What matters is their expertise and how well they understand my needs. I remember when I was recovering from a back injury—my male trainer at the time was a lifesaver. He knew exactly which physiotherapy exercises would help, and his personalized approach made such a difference. Would I have felt more comfortable with a female trainer in that situation? Honestly, no. I trusted him because he knew what he was doing and because we had built that rapport over time.

That said, I get that not everyone feels this way. For some women, especially those new to fitness, working with a male trainer can feel intimidating. That’s why having female trainers is such a good idea—it gives women the option to choose what makes them feel safest and most comfortable. Creating this kind of inclusive environment is so important.

But here’s where I think we need to be careful: this rule shouldn’t come at the expense of male trainers losing their jobs. It’s not fair to sideline professionals who’ve worked hard just because of their gender. Instead of enforcing a strict mandate, why not encourage gyms to hire both male and female trainers and let clients decide who they’re comfortable with? Providing options rather than making hard-and-fast rules feels like a more balanced and fair solution.

At the end of the day, fitness is about building confidence, breaking barriers, and fostering trust—things that have nothing to do with gender. As long as gyms focus on professionalism and client comfort, there’s no reason male and female trainers can’t coexist and help create a healthier, happier community.

The main bathing rituals (Shahi Snan) of the Kumbh will take place on January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami). (ANI)

All Alleged Nijjar Killers Released, BC Justice Documents Reveal

Documents released by the Justice Department of British Columbia, Canada show that all four alleged accused in the murder of NIA designated terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar appear to be no longer in custody.

The case documents show ‘N’ against the status of being in custody. The four men — Karan Brar, Karan Singh, Amandeep Singh, Kamalpreet Singh and Karanpreet Singh were charged with the murder of Nijjar and conspiracy to commit murder, by the Canadian Police.

Brar, 22, Karanpreet Singh, 28, and Kamalpreet Singh, 22, were all taken into custody in Edmonton on May 3. A fourth accused identified as Amandeep Singh (22) was already in custody of Peel Regional Police in Ontario for unrelated firearms charges and was also arrested for the said crime on May 11.

According to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) in British Columbia, they are accused of murder and conspiracy. Police personnel however had not given any evidence of any link to India as was being speculated in the Canadian media.

At the time of the arrest of the alleged accused, the Ministry of External Affairs reiterated that Canada had not provided any “specific” evidence or relevant information in the Hardeep Singh Nijjar killing case and that no “formal communication” had been provided to India over the arrests of three Indians allegedly involved in the matter.

Notably, ties between India and Canada have been strained after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau accused agents of the Indian government of killing Nijjar.

However, India has dismissed the accusations as “absurd” and “motivated”.

Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was designated a terrorist by India’s National Investigation Agency in 2020, was shot and killed as he came out of a Gurdwara in Surrey in June, 2023.

The video of his killing that reportedly surfaced in March 2024 showed Nijjar being shot by armed men in what has been described as a “contract killing.” (ANI)
