‘Completely And Totally Obliterated’: Trump After Bombing Iran Nuke Sites

US President Donald Trump said that country has carried out a “very successful attack” on three Iranian nuclear facilities- Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan

Trump’s announcement comes just two days after saying he had opened a two-week window for diplomacy.

“Our objective was the destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world’s number one state sponsor of terror,” Trump said in remarks from the White House. “Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success,” he said.

Hours earlier, taking to his Truth Social platform, Trump said that the US had bombed the three Iranian nuclear facilities and in his address from the White House on Saturday night (local time), Trump said those facilities “have been completely and totally obliterated” thereby meeting the objective to stop the “nuclear threat”.

After his remarks at the White House. Trump in his Truth Social post warned that any retaliation from Iran would be met with “force far greater than what was witnessed tonight.”

“This cannot continue. There will be either peace or there will be tragedy for Iran far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days,” Trump said. “Remember, there are many targets left. Tonight’s was the most difficult of them all, by far, and perhaps the most lethal. But if peace does not come quickly we will go after those other targets with precision, speed and skill.”

US Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State, Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defence, Pete Hegseth were present when Trump made his on-camera remarks from The White House.

“A short time ago the US military carried out massive precision strikes on the three key nuclear facilities in the Iranian regime- Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan. Everybody heard those names for years as they built this horribly destructive enterprise.”

He added, “Our objective was the destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment capacity and a stop to the nuclear threat posed by the world’s number one state sponsor of terror. Tonight I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success.”

The US President said, “Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.”

Terming Iran as the “Bully of Middle East”, he said that the country must make peace, and if it doesn’t, the “future attacks would be far greater and a lot easier.”

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home,” Trump had stated on his platform, Truth Social.

“Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he added.

The underground site at Fordow and the larger Natanz plant were Iran’s two primary uranium enrichment facilities, out of which Natanz had already been hit by Israel with smaller weapons earlier in the week, the New York Times reported.

The conflict between Israel and Iran entered its ninth day on Saturday, with the US now joining in support of Israel. The conflict started after Israel, on June 13, launched a massive airstrike on Iranian military and nuclear sites, dubbed “Operation Rising Lion.”

In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched a large-scale drone and missile operation, ‘Operation True Promise 3’, targeting Israeli fighter jet fuel production facilities and energy supply centres. (ANI)

Samajwadi Party Elections

Govt Should Focus On Creating Markets For Farmers: Akhilesh

Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav claimed that the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government is proposing to develop industrial regions along the expressway and said it should focus on creating markets for farmers.

Speaking to reporters, the SP chief said, “This government is saying that they will develop industrial regions by the expressway… The Samajwadi Party had started making markets for farmers along the expressway. The BJP should focus on creating markets for the farmers. The markets should be such that every crop is purchased there… Why did they shut down the cow milk plant?… What do these BJPians have to do with any milk products? The people of the BJP do not consume cow milk… They incline cow dung. They like it when cow dung is gifted to them. If you would gift them cow milk products like ghee or curd, they would be upset… They get happy when they are given cow dung…”

Earlier on Friday, Akhilesh Yadav criticised the UP government over governance, infrastructure, and electricity. Yadav alleged that conflicts are happening across several departments, stating, “There is another department responsible for village development. Those who are just roaming around, what work will they actually do? There are conflicts happening across several departments. There are disputes over transfer postings.”

Yadav claimed that the state government is misusing public funds. “A separate budget is allocated for the Smart City project. Gorakhpur is the place that gets waterlogged. Even after receiving a budget from Delhi, this government hasn’t been able to build proper drainage. They are misusing public funds and acting at whim. You will probably find the missing officials hiding in the Chief Minister’s residence.”

Speaking on the Purvanchal Expressway, Yadav stated, “When the Agra Expressway was completed, Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) envisioned connecting Azamgarh, Ghazipur, and Ballia. So we announced and laid the foundation for the Purvanchal Expressway. Land acquisition had been completed up to 50%, but then our government didn’t return to power. These people came into power and did not build the expressway according to Indian Road Congress standards. They cancelled our tenders and built the expressway using their own contractors without following proper norms.”

He further said, “The Samajwadi Party government is going to return. We will rework and rebuild the Purvanchal Expressway. They attached the Gorakhpur Link Expressway to the Purvanchal Expressway. When the Prime Minister landed on the Purvanchal Expressway, he was standing on an achievement that belongs to the Samajwadi Party.” (ANI)

Himachal PWD Minister Vikramaditya Checks On Tackling Monsoon Challenges

Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that the government has taken proactive steps, including coordination meetings with all concerned departments and deployment of machinery in vulnerable zones, as the southwest monsoon enters the state five days ahead of its usual schedule.

The state government has ramped up its preparedness to deal with potential rain-related disasters.

Speaking to ANI, Singh said that he has reviewed the department’s preparation and will soon do a detailed review amid the IMD warning.

“Even before the arrival of the monsoon, we held joint meetings with the State Disaster Management Authority, the Meteorological Department and all other state departments. I have already reviewed the preparations, and a detailed review meeting of the PWD will be conducted soon,” he said.

He expressed concern over the repeated damage caused by heavy rains in the state, especially in the riverbank and streamside regions.

“For the last two years, we have been witnessing massive losses in areas along rivers and seasonal streams. Last year, the damage was slightly less, but the year before that, the destruction was extensive, running into crores of rupees. We took immediate steps to restore connectivity and carried out rescue works,” he said.

To prevent disruption during extreme weather, Singh said the department had pre-positioned temporary bridges in critical areas.

“We have already sent portable bridges to vulnerable locations so that if any bridge is washed away, we can replace it without delay. Our aim is to remain fully prepared in advance,” he told ANI.

“We have also dispatched necessary machinery across the state and ensured that emergency tools are available in all zones. Additional assistance, if needed, will also be extended to the department,” Singh further added.

The minister emphasised close coordination with district administration, particularly in hilly districts that are prone to landslides and flash floods.

“Our department will stay in close contact with all Deputy Commissioners, especially in regions like Mandi, Kullu, and the upper parts of Shimla district, areas that witness the most frequent and severe damages during monsoon. These zones will remain our priority so that we are ready to respond swiftly to any emergency,” he said.

The Himachal Pradesh government’s early planning comes amid warnings from the meteorological department of heavier-than-usual rains this monsoon, increasing the risk of landslides, flash floods, and road closures in the hill state. (ANI)

Accused Sonam, Raj Kushwaha Sent To 13 Day Judicial Custody: Raja Raghuvanshi Case

A district and sessions court in Meghalaya’s Shillong on Saturday sent Sonam Raghuvanshi and Raj Kushwaha to 13 days of judicial custody in connection with the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case.

Superintendent of Police (SP) of East Khasi Hills district Vivek Syiem told ANI that Raghuvanshi and Kushwaha have been remanded to 13-day judicial custody.

Assistant Public Prosecutor Tushar Chanda also said the accused have been remanded to judicial custody since the police didn’t ask for custody.

“The court has remanded both the accused for 13 days of judicial custody. The police did not ask for custody. The Investigating Officer pleaded for judicial custody. The court granted 13-day judicial custody,” Chanda told ANI.

On Thursday, the district and sessions court sent the remaining accused — Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, and Anand — to 14-day judicial custody.

This development came after the Meghalaya Police arrested five people in connection with the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, a newlywed who had come to the state on his honeymoon. Those arrested include his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, and four others: Akash Rajput, Vishal Singh Chauhan, Raj Singh Kushwaha, and Anand. Raja Raghuvanshi’s body was found in a gorge near Sohra (Cherrapunji) on June 2.

Sonam was later found near a roadside dhaba along the Varanasi-Ghazipur highway. The couple, both residents of Indore in Madhya Pradesh, had gone missing during their honeymoon trip to Meghalaya.

Earlier, as part of its investigation, the Meghalaya Police SIT reconstructed the crime scene as part of their investigations into the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi. The murder scene was recreated by the SIT team in Sohra in the presence of the accused, Sonam Raghuvanshi, and three others.

SP Vivek Syiem said that the reconstruction of the crime scene was very successful as the police then “got a very clear picture.”

Detailing the reconstruction of the crime scene, SP Vivek Syiem said that one more machete used to murder Raja Raghuvanshi still needs to be recovered.

“The SIT visited several places to re-enact how the accused did it. We started from the parking lot where they had kept their two-wheelers. We went to the viewpoint, and ascertained who was standing where just before the murder. There were three blows – first by Vishal, second by Anand and the last blow by Akash. We have ascertained that one more machete still needs to be recovered. The accused replayed how they threw the machete. SDRF are trying to recover the second weapon,” he said.

Speaking to the media, SP Vivek Syiem also informed that Sonam Raghuvanshi and Vishal damaged Raja Raghuvanshi’s phone after the murder. “We have ascertained what happened to Raja’s mobile phone. Sonam damaged it, and then Vishal damaged it. This whole thing was played out, and also their exit from here,” he said.”We have ascertained that the victim was hit with the weapon. The first hit was by Vishal aka Vicky. When Raja was hit and blood came out, Sonam moved away from the spot. The three accused threw the body down,” he added. (ANI)

Indian cricketers Hail Neeraj For Paris Diamond League Win

Former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan and pacer Ishant Sharma hailed India’s world champion and Olympic gold medalist javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra for his victory at the Paris Diamond League on Friday.

Chopra once again proved his dominance on the global stage, winning the Paris Diamond League title on Friday night (local time) with a commanding first-round throw of 88.16 metres. Despite three no-marks in the middle rounds, his opening effort was enough to keep him on top throughout the competition.

Taking to X, Dhawan wrote, “What a champion. What a moment. So proud of you, @Neeraj_chopra1 for clinching the Paris Diamond League title with a huge 88.16m throw in the very first round!”

Ishant Sharma also wrote, “Congratulations to @Neeraj_chopra1 on winning the Paris Diamond League with a massive 88.16m throw. Thank you for making the country proud!”

Marvelling at Neeraj’s consistency, former Indian wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik also called him one of India’s greatest athletes.

“He has to be one of, if not the greatest INDIAN athlete What UNREAL consistency,” posted Karthik on X.

Chopra set the tone early, launching the spear 88.16m on his first attempt, immediately taking the lead. Germany’s Julian Weber came close with a best of 87.88m but fell short. Brazil’s Mauricio Luiz da Silva secured third place with a throw of 86.62m.

In the opening round, Chopra led the field, followed by Weber’s 87.88m and Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott with 80.94m.

In the second round, Weber briefly merged an 86.20m throw, while Neeraj recorded 85.10m and Walcott slightly improved to 81.66m. However, Chopra’s opening throw remained unmatched.

The third round saw Da Silva make his mark with a throw of 86.62m. Weber tried to mount a late challenge with throws of 83.13m in the fourth and 84.50m in the fifth round, but he could not cross the 88m mark. In the final round, Neeraj returned to the sector with a solid 82.89m, while Weber finished with 81.08m and Da Silva with 78.56m.

Despite the inconsistency in the middle of the competition, Chopra’s single legal throw in the first round proved decisive and enough to seal the win.

The two-time Olympic medallist Neeraj will be in action for the inaugural edition of the Neeraj Chopra Classic, which will take place on July 5. The NC Classic was originally slated to be held on May 24 but was later postponed to July 5 due to the cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan. (ANI)

The all-day event, widely known as Solstice at Times Square, featured seven yoga sessions that drew nearly 10,000 participants from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.

The event was graced by actor Anupam Kher, who shared a personal connection to yoga.

“I’m extremely happy to be at the world’s most iconic place, Times Square, on the occasion of the 11th International Yoga Day, initiated by our beloved Prime Minister 11 years back. My grandfather was a yoga teacher, so I’ve seen that happening all my life. I practice yoga, and I can see the atmosphere all over the place. It’s a very important message not only for physical health but also for mental health,” he said.

Kher also took to Instagram to express his gratitude, writing, “It was my privilege and my honour to be there for #Bharat for the 11th #InternationalYogaDay at the iconic #TimeSquare in New York! Thank you @indiainnewyork @binaysrikant76 ji for inviting me to this highly prestigious event. It was wonderful to practice #Yog in this great environment! Jai Hind!”

The Consul General welcomed the gathering and emphasised the transformative power of yoga, highlighting its benefits not just for physical and mental well-being but also for fostering a deeper connection with nature.

The event’s theme for 2025, ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health,’ reflects a holistic vision of health and harmony for the planet and its people.

This year’s celebrations are part of a broader month-long initiative by the Indian Consulate, engaging communities across states like New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Connecticut.

These programs have seen enthusiastic participation from both local residents and yoga practitioners.

Since its inception in 2015, following a United Nations resolution initiated by India, the International Day of Yoga has grown into a worldwide movement.

Observed on June 21, the Summer Solstice and the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, the day continues to promote the timeless message of unity, balance, and well-being. (ANI)
