Bigg Boss 19: Salman To Interact With Housemates At First Weekend Ka Vaar Today

The ongoing reality show Bigg Boss 19 will air its first ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode today, featuring an interaction between host-actor Salman Khan and the contestants.

The nominated contestants who face the risk of elimination from the house this week include Abhishek, Gaurav Khanna, Natalia Janoszek, Neelam Giri, Pranit More, Tanya Mittal, and Zeishan Quadri.

The ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode includes schooling of the housemates by Salman Khan based on their actions inside the house.

Bigg Boss 19, which follows the theme of ‘Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar’ this year, was filled with intense fights, drama, and tasks this week.

It includes the return of actress Farhana Bhat, who was evicted on the first day by the housemates after they were asked to name one contestant they felt was undeserving of continuing in the show.

However, instead of being eliminated, she was sent to the secret room with special powers, turning the tables completely.

Food ration was another steaming topic of BB19 this week. Housemates were seen fighting over the unequal distribution of food in the house.

To avoid the reduction of food rations in the house, Gaurav Khanna, who had been granted special entry into the secret room where Farhana resided, decided to allow her to re-enter the house without consulting the other housemates, leading to intense fights between him and the other contestants.

The first week also included a captaincy task, which was won by Kunickaa Sadanand. Baseer Ali couldn’t particpate in the captaincy task after he was disqualified by Farhana.

After the intense first week of BB 19, fans have been eagerly waiting for Salman Khan’s perspective on the ongoing activities inside the house.

Bigg Boss kicked off its 19th season on August 24.

Celebrities and social media sensations like Gaurav Khanna, Kunickaa Sadanand, Awez Darbar, Nagma Mirajkar, Amaal Mallik, Ashnoor Kaur, Zeishan Quadri, Abhishek Bajaj, Natalia Janoszek, Farhana Bhatt, Mridul Tiwari, Neelam Giri, Pranit More, Baseer Ali, Tanya Mittal, and Nehal have entered the Bigg Boss house.

Viewers can watch ‘Bigg Boss 19’ on Colors and JioHotstar. (ANI)

‘Baaghi 4’: Tiger Wreaks Havoc To Avenge Love, Battles Sanjay

Tiger Shroff’s much-awaited film ‘Baaghi 4’ has finally got a trailer on Saturday. It also stars Sanjay Dutt in the negative role.

Directed by A Harsha, the upcoming action thriller is the fourth instalment in Tiger Shroff’s Baghi, which was first released in 2016.

The three-minute and forty-one-second trailer opens with a shot of Tiger Shroff, who is holding an axe, which is drenched in blood. After a voice-over which defines the movie as an action-packed love story, Tiger Shroff is seen killing people with rods and knives.

We see different looks of Tiger, first as a naval officer, and then in a more brutal avatar. Tiger, who goes by the name of Ronnie in the film, is considered mentally unstable by his friends and police after he tells them that his love partner Alisha (Harnaaz Sindhu) has been killed.

They called it a hallucination. It is followed by a romantic montage of Tiger and Harnaaz. As for Sanjay Dutt, the actor was introduced as the antagonist, all bloodied in a church, asking God about their involvement in the love story of a devil.

What follows is a montage of brutal takedowns, beheadings, impalements, and a lot more. Tiger Shroff also repeated his iconic dialogue “jo tera torchar hah voh mera warmup hah (Your torture is my warmup)”.

The trailer ends with Sanjay Dutt kissing the chopped fingers, showcasing his evil side.

Tiger Shroff shared the trailer on his Instagram handle on Saturday.

Param Sundari also benefited from being a solo release… Moreover, the popular soundtrack – especially Pardesiya – along with its youth-oriented love story, attracted a good turnout from young audiences. Param Sundari is now expected to grow on Saturday and Sunday, setting the stage for a healthy and respectable opening weekend. #ParamSundari [Week 1] Fri Rs 7.37 crore.”

The Tushar Jalota directorial marks Sidharth and Janhvi’s first project together as co-stars, and their romantic chemistry in the trailer is captivating.

Janhvi opened up about portraying ‘Sundari’, expressing how her character’s deep connection to her roots resonated with her own South Indian heritage.”

Relief In Ambala As Water Levels Recede In Tangri River After Cloudburst

Following flood-like conditions caused by a cloudburst in Palasra village on Morni Hills at around 1.30 am on Friday, the water levels in the Tangri River have decreased, and the situation in Ambala Cantonment has returned to normal, providing relief to residents.

Speaking to ANI, Ward Councillor Raman Chatwal said that the water level has been receding and the situation became normal in the morning. He informed that teams of the fire brigade have been called to clean the area.

“About 32,000 cusecs of water entered the Tangri River yesterday. Since 5:30 am yesterday, I have been asking people here to move outside their houses because the water was coming in. Minister Anil Vij also came here, and on his instructions, SDRF teams arrived, and we secured boat facilities through which we evacuated the children. This morning, the situation is normal; the water has receded, and water tankers, phone booths, and toilets have been set up. Soon, fire brigade teams will also come to clean the area. I have also deployed 15-20 sweepers and JCBs for cleaning. Food supplies are also arriving soon,” Chatwal told ANI.

Earlier on Friday, Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij inspected the rising water level of Tangri river in Ambala Cantonment and directed the district administration to make announcements urging residents living within the river area to move to safer locations.

On Friday morning, the water level of Tangri river had crossed the danger mark. Taking note of the situation, Minister Anil Vij personally inspected the surrounding areas and issued necessary directions to the district administration.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Anil Vij said that heavy rainfall in the hills had brought a surge of water into Tangri river.

“More than 30,000 cusecs of water is flowing in the river, which is far above normal levels. Before the monsoon season started, dredging work had been carried out to deepen the riverbed, but due to some obstructions, only 25 per cent of the work could be completed. The remaining work will be done after the monsoon season,” Vij had told reporters.

He further expressed hope on water passing safely through Ambala Cantonment, but given the potential risk, the administration has been put on alert.

Vij also informed of the deployment of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) at the Ambala Cantonment for safety, further stating that boats had also been requisitioned for any emergencies.

“Residents living along or within the catchment area of Tangri river have been asked to move out with their essential belongings,” he added.

It is noteworthy that in previous monsoon seasons as well, Tangri river had seen heavy water flow, which had safely passed through. (ANI)

JD(U)’s Neeraj Calls Alleged Abuse Against PM A ‘Concern For Democracy’

Janata Dal (United) leader Neeraj Kumar on Saturday condemned the alleged abusive remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother, slamming the constituent parties of Mahagathbandhan for not refuting the remarks.

“Whoever made such remarks was arrested. But the important question is, Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal and the constituent parties of the Mahagathbandhan did not even criticise this,” Kumar told ANI.

“The Congress party did not expel that person. The differences will continue in politics, but if there is linguistic obscenity among ourselves and any party tolerates it, then it is certainly a matter of concern for democracy,” he added.

Earlier in the day, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri condemned the alleged derogatory remarks, stating that such personal attacks are “unacceptable”.

Speaking to reporters at an event organised by the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB), the Union Minister said that Opposition parties can have political differences but should not indulge in such remarks.

Hardeep Singh Puri said, “It should be strongly condemned. Political parties can oppose us, and they may have differing political views. However, such personal attacks against individuals or family members are unacceptable. I condemn it in the strongest terms.”

Earlier on Friday, the man accused of hurling abuses at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during a political rally in Bihar was arrested, Darbhanga Senior Superintendent of Police told ANI.

The arrest followed the circulation of an alleged video on the internet showing the accused directing abusive slurs at PM Modi during an INDIA bloc event.

The incident had sparked a political row in the poll-bound state of Bihar.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress workers clashed in Bihar’s Patna on Friday over the alleged derogatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during an INDIA bloc rally in Darbhanga.

Stones were pelted at the site as the BJP staged a protest against the Congress in front of the Congress office in Patna.

Bihar Minister and BJP leader Nitin Nabin stated that the public will give a “befitting reply” to Congress. (ANI)

Om Birla Calls For ‘Bhubaneswar Agenda’ To Empower SC, ST Communities By 2047

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla reaffirmed Parliament’s commitment to the welfare and empowerment of Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs), announcing that the “Bhubaneswar Agenda” will serve as a roadmap to build an inclusive, capable and just society by 2047, in line with the vision of Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Speaking at the National Conference of Chairpersons of Committees on the Welfare of SCs and STs, Birla said the two-day dialogue had become a confluence of ideas, experiences, and innovations aimed at bringing positive transformation in the lives of disadvantaged communities.

“We are committed not only to their welfare but also to making them self-reliant. Through parliamentary committees, by adopting a constructive approach, we can bring about wide-ranging changes in their lives,” Birla added.

He underlined that the strength of democracy lies in ensuring constitutional safeguards and the effective implementation of government policies. He stated that parliamentary committees are not merely forums for criticism, but key institutions for monitoring welfare schemes, budget allocations, and the protection of legislative rights. They also ensure transparency and accountability in governance by preventing the misuse of funds.

Birla called upon state legislatures that do not yet have dedicated SC/ST welfare committees to constitute them immediately, so that comprehensive monitoring of welfare schemes can also take place at the state level.

Highlighting the role of education as the foundation of empowerment, the Speaker urged Committees to evaluate budget allocations for SC/ST education to ensure quality learning opportunities. The Speaker said that education not only shapes an individual’s personality but also strengthens society as a whole. The rising contribution of SC/ST youth in technology, innovation, and professional fields occurs when they are given adequate opportunities.

Lok Sabha Speaker emphasised that the discussions and recommendations made during the conference will form the Bhubaneswar Agenda, a collaborative action plan for the Centre and states. He said that it will pave the way for long-term reforms to improve the socio-economic and educational status of SC/ST communities.

“Dialogue and deliberation have always been the driving forces of social change in our democracy. The ideas shared in this conference will bring positive transformation in the lives of millions. Parliamentary Committees will remain central to realising Babasaheb Ambedkar’s vision of a just and inclusive India,” Birla added.

The conference was also addressed by Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha, Harivansh, Chairperson of Parliamentary Committee on Welfare of SC and ST, Lok Sabha, Faggan Singh Kulaste, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Electronics and Information Technology and Health and Family Welfare, Mukesh Mahaling, Surama Padhy Speaker, Odisha Legislative Assembly and MLA Bhaskar Madhei.

The conference concluded with a pledge that both Parliament and state legislatures will work together to ensure that welfare policies reach the ground effectively, benefiting the most marginalised sections of society.

The theme of the Conference was “Role of Parliamentary and Legislative Committees in Welfare, Development and Empowerment of SCs and STs.”

The First Conference of Chairpersons of Committees on the Welfare of SCs and STs was held way back in 1976 in New Delhi. Thereafter, successive Conferences have been held in 1979, 1983, 1987 and 2001, contributing to robust dialogue on the varied dimensions of welfare and constitutional safeguards for SCs and STs. However, it is for the first time that such a Conference is being organised outside Delhi. (ANI)

Sadhvi Pragya Was Badly Tortured: Uma Bharti On 2008 Malegaon Blast Case

Former Union Minister and BJP leader Uma Bharti on Saturday said that a false narrative was constructed in the 2008 Malegaon blast case against former Lok Sabha MP Sadhvi Pragya and others arrested in the case, adding that actual perpetrators were not arrested, while “soft targets” were badly tortured.

In an exclusive interview with ANI, Uma Bharti said that the Malegaon blast case was used to defame the Hindu community.

“I believe it was a conspiracy to defame the Hindu community and engage in appeasement politics. Those who were involved in this conspiracy forgot that it would not only tarnish India’s image domestically but also globally. They had their eyes on power, so they fabricated a fictional story against those they felt were soft targets, such as Colonel Purohit, Sadhvi Pragya, and many others, making them victims,” Uma Bharti said.

Former Union Minister also mentioned that former Lok Sabha MP Sadhvi Pragya had to endure severe torture in the case.

“I haven’t been in touch with Colonel Purohit, but I saw his wife’s television interview where she said his nails were pulled out. However, Sadhvi Pragya’s ordeal was of a different magnitude. She was beaten so badly she could barely walk. They pulled out her chair, slapped her over 100 times, and when she asked for water, she was given something else,” Bharti said while recalling her conversation with one of the officials who was in her security detail.

“My security inspector, who underwent training abroad, met members of the Maharashtra ATS there. One of the officials told him that she was tortured brutally, receiving over 100 slaps, which left her cheeks blackened. They almost broke her spine…That official told him that even during that torture she used to recite ‘Om’,” she said.

BJP leader asserted that the real culprits were never caught in the case and demanded that a fresh probe be conducted.

“People lost their lives in the 2008 Malegaon blast. Why were their names (Lt. Col. Prasad Shrikant Purohit, Sadhvi Pragya Singh) added to it, and why have the real culprits not been arrested yet? This is a matter of investigation, and the real culprits should be arrested,” she said.

The Mumbai NIA court on July 31 acquitted all seven accused of being involved in the 2008 blasts in Malegaon, with the court saying the prosecution failed to establish the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

The 2008 Malegaon blast case was transferred to the NIA in 2011 from the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).

After a 17-year-long wait and examination of hundreds of witnesses, the NIA special court acquitted all seven people accused under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Arms Act and all other charges.

On September 29, 2008, six people were killed and 95 others injured when an explosive device strapped to a motorcycle detonated near a mosque in Malegaon City’s Bhikku Chowk. Originally, 11 people were accused in the case; however, the court ultimately framed charges against 7, including former MP Sadhvi Pragya. (ANI)

Appeals Court Rules Most Trump Tariffs ‘Illegal’, US President Says ‘All Tariffs Are Still In Effect’

As one of the federal appeal courts in the US ruled that most of tariffs imposed by Trump administration are not accordance with the laws, US President Donald Trump on Friday (local time) affirmed that all tariffs imposed on the countries will remain in effect, calling a recent ruling by a “highly Partisan Appeals Court” incorrect. .

“ALL TARIFFS ARE STILL IN EFFECT! Today a Highly Partisan Appeals Court incorrectly said that our Tariffs should be removed, but they know the United States of America will win in the end. If these Tariffs ever went away, it would be a total disaster for the Country. It would make us financially weak, and we have to be strong,” Trump said.

https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/115114339832960282

The remarks of the US President came after a federal appeals court ruled that the International Emergency Economic Powers Act does not authorise a president to impose tariffs like the ones Trump used the law for earlier this year, the Federal Circuit said in an unsigned opinion upholding a lower-court ruling against Trump’s tariffs, CNN reported.

The judges noted that Trump’s unprecedented tariffs are an overstep of his power because the ability to impose taxes, including tariffs, is “a core Congressional power” that the Constitution grants to the legislative branch, as per CNN.

The US President warned that the country would no longer tolerate large trade deficits or unfair tariffs and non-tariff trade barriers imposed by other nations.

“If allowed to stand, this Decision would literally destroy the United States of America,” he added.

Ahead of the Labor Day weekend, Trump emphasised the importance of tariffs in supporting American workers and companies. “We should all remember that TARIFFS are the best tool to help our Workers, and support Companies that produce great MADE IN AMERICA products.”

Trump criticised past administrations for allowing tariffs to be used against the US. “For many years, Tariffs were allowed to be used against us by our uncaring and unwise Politicians. Now, with the help of the United States Supreme Court, we will use them to the benefit of our Nation, and Make America Rich, Strong, and Powerful Again! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” he concluded.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had earlier indicated in June that tariff negotiations with the United States’ trading partners could conclude by Labor Day, though the legal uncertainty now complicates that timeline, CNN reported.

The White House defended the president’s actions on Friday. Spokesperson Kush Desai said, “President Trump lawfully exercised the tariff powers granted to him by Congress to defend our national and economic security from foreign threats. The President’s tariffs remain in effect, and we look forward to ultimate victory on this matter.”

On April 2, President Donald Trump announced a sweeping set of new tariffs targeting around sixty countries or trade blocs with significant trade deficits with the United States–marking the largest U.S. tariff hike in almost 100 years. He called the occasion “Liberation Day”.

Meanwhile, a recent report by American multinational investment bank and financial services company Jefferies stated that the steep 50 per cent tariffs imposed by the United States on Indian goods are largely a result of President Donald Trump’s “personal pique” at not being allowed to mediate in the India-Pakistan conflict.

The report said the American president had reportedly hoped to intervene following the four-day military conflict between the two countries in May.

It stated “tariffs are primarily the consequence of the American president’s “personal pique” that he was not allowed to play a role in seeking to end the long running acrimony between India and Pakistan”.India has consistently maintained that it does not accept third-party intervention in its conflicts with Pakistan.

Another sticking point is agriculture. The report highlighted that no Indian government, including the current one, is willing to open up the agriculture sector to imports because of the severe consequences it would have on millions of people.

Nearly 250 million farmers and related labourers depend on agriculture for their livelihoods, with the sector accounting for nearly 40 per cent of India’s workforce, the report noted. (ANI)

J-K: 3 Dead, 2 Missing In Flash Floods In Rajgad Area Of Ramban

Three people have died due to heavy rains and flash floods in the Rajgad area of Ramban in Jammu and Kashmir, the District Administration said on Saturday.

According to the District Administration, two people are reported missing, and a rescue operation is going on in the flood-hit areas.

Ramban has been grappling with heavy rainfall and flash floods.

According to the IMD, isolated heavy rainfall is likely to continue over Jammu and Kashmir from August 30 to September 2, while light to moderate rainfall is predicted in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Uttarakhand during the next four days.

Earlier on Friday, the Indian Air Force (IAF) intensified its flood relief and rescue operations in Northern India with a primary focus on the severely affected Jammu and Punjab regions, the Ministry of Defence said.

Mi-17 and Chinook helicopters have conducted more than 55 sorties to extract stranded civilians, including personnel from the Indian Army and Border Security Force, from inundated areas in Dera Baba Nanak, Pathankot, and Akhnoor sectors.

Transport aircraft (C-130) have been deployed to facilitate the rapid movement of specialised NDRF teams into the affected zones, the ministry said. Further, it said that the “operations have enabled the rescue of 215 individuals and delivered 7,300 kgs of essential relief material in the affected areas in the past three days.”

Meanwhile, Ramban MLA Arjun Singh Raju met flood-affected families in lower Maitra, Ward 6, on Friday and announced financial assistance for the construction of a protection wall to safeguard their homes.

Speaking to reporters, MLA Raju said, “The rainfall has damaged the houses in lower Maitra. We will not be able to fully compensate them. We reached here yesterday. I will deposit Rs 5,00,000 in MNREGA and contribute Rs 5,00,000 from my side towards the construction of a protection wall.”

“We will advise the administration to take the advisory seriously…Administration needs to be cautious. The government and administration will support them. We are committed to our people,” he added. (ANI)
