Timeline Of Jiah Khan Suicide Case Till Date

A special CBI court in Mumbai is likely to announce the verdict in the suicide case of actress, Jiah Khan on Friday. Actor Sooraj Pancholi, who is facing charges of abetting the suicide of actress Jiah Khan, reached CBI Court along with his mother on Friday morning. Jiah Khan was found dead in her suburban home on June 3, 2013.

Sooraj Pancholi is accused of abetting the suicide of Jiah Khan based on a letter seized on June 10, which the 25-year-old actor purportedly wrote, Mumbai Police booked Pancholi under section 306 (abetment to suicide) and arrested him. Sooraj, son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, was allegedly in a relationship with Jiah.

Here is a timeline of Jiah Khan’s suicide case:

on June 3, 2013, Jiah Khan’s body was found in flat number 102 of Sagar Sangeet Society in Mumbai

On June 7, 2013, Mumbai police recovered a six-page suicide note from Jiah’s house.

On June 10, 2013, Sooraj Pancholi was arrested by the Juhu police after allegations of abetting Jiha for suicide.

On July 2, 2013, the Bombay High Court granted bail to Suraj Pancholi and he got released after spending 22 days in jail.

In October 2013, Jiha’s mother, Rabia Khan, moved to the Bombay High Court demanding a CBI probe.

In July 2014, the case was handed over to the CBI.

In December 2015, the CBI submitted a report before the court and termed the case as an abetment to suicide. A few days later, Rabia demanded for an SIT to probe the matter.

In February 2017, the High Court rejected the demand for the formation of the SIT.

The trial court also rejected Rabia’s demand for further investigation in 2018.

On 15 March 2019, the trial began in the Jiah Khan case.

In the year 2021, the case was reassigned to the Special CBI Court because the sessions court said that the jurisdiction of the CBI case is not with the sessions court.

On March 21, 2023, the government side closed its case with the statement of 21 witnesses.

On April 20, 2023, both sides presented their final arguments after which the court fixed 28 April to announce the verdict. (ANI)

Saba Pataudi dropped heart emojis.

Earlier, Soha shared pictures from her spring vacation with her husband Kunal Kemmu and daughter Inaaya in Dubai on Instagram.

She also gave a special mention to her daughter Inaaya for clicking the images of the duo.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Soha recently wrapped her upcoming movie ‘Chhorii 2’. Helmed by Vishal Furia ‘Chhorii’ streamed exclusively on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video and received positive responses from the audience. Soha will star opposite Nushrratt Bharuccha in ‘Chhorii 2’.

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan never fails to entertain whether it is on-screen performance or on his social media posts. On Friday the ‘Sholay’ actor made a request for the restoration of the Twitter blue tick with a funny and somewhat sarcastic comment.

Bachchan’s tweet, made in a dialect of eastern Uttar Pradesh, reflected his characteristic humour.
“T 4623 – Hey Twitter brother! Are you listening? Now I even paid…so put back the blue lotus (tick) in front of my name, so that people know that it is Amitabh Bachchan only. I have already made request with folded hands, now should I fall at your feet?” Bachchan said.

Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, B-town celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt, politicians CM Yogi Adityanath, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi and cricketers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are among those who have for the present lost their verified blue ticks from their Twitter accounts.

Twitter has started following a pay model and many of high-profile users are losing verified blue ticks.

Earlier it was announced that the microblogging site will remove the verified check-mark status of accounts that Twitter had verified before Elon Musk’s takeover unless they have subscribed to Twitter Blue or the business-focused Twitter Verified Organizations plan, Variety reported.

The blue tick served as a way of protecting well-known individuals from impersonation and tackling false information.

“On April 1st, we will begin winding down our legacy verified program and removing legacy verified checkmarks. To keep your blue checkmark on Twitter, individuals can sign up for Twitter Blue,” Twitter had said in a post in March.

Twitter first introduced the blue check mark system in 2009 to help users identify that celebrities, politicians, companies and brands, news organizations and other accounts “of public interest” were genuine and not impostors or parody accounts. The company didn’t previously charge for verification.

Musk launched Twitter Blue with the check-mark badge as one of the premium perks within two weeks of the company’s takeover last year. (ANI)

On Tuesday, he released a new song ‘Lets Dance Chotu Motu’ from his forthcoming film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. The track sees Salman unleashing his inner child.

Sung by Salman Khan and Devi Sri Prasad, ‘Lets Dance Chotu Motu’ is touted to be a quirky kids’ anthem.

The song also has rap by Yo Yo Honey Singh. Neha Bhasin has lent her voice to female vocals.

‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ marks the return of Salman to the big screen after four years. Apart from this, Salman will also be seen in the upcoming action thriller film ‘Tiger 3’ opposite Katrina Kaif. (ANI)

Former ‘Bigg Boss’ runner-up Shehnaaz Gill will be seen in Salman Khan’s Eid release ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ amid a bunch of new faces. Ahead of the film’s release, the actor is busy with promotions.

Speaking with ANI, the actor revealed how she groomed herself post-Bigg Boss. “I have groomed my style, worked on my look and also started learning Hindi. In the coming days, you will see me only growing,” said the actor with a smile on her face.

Shehnaaz participated in ‘Bigg Boss 13’ (2019) and was the second runners-up. The actor got featured in several music videos post-Bigg Boss success.

Speaking about the movie offer from Salman Khan, Shehnaaz said she readily accepted it. “I have got an opportunity to learn from Salman Khan, I can see him perform actions on set… these were the reasons enough to say ‘yes’ to this movie,” the actor said.

Shehnaaz emphasised it’s a ‘Salman Khan’ movie and fans must experience it in the theatres as ‘Bhaijaan’ is coming to cinema halls on Eid after four years. The movie will release on April 21.

“Bollywood needs your support. The kind of love you have shown for ‘Pathaan’, show it for bhaijaan also,” Shehnaaz said.

Meezaan Jafri Performs Umrah Ahead Of Ramzan

Ahead of Ramzan, actor-comedian Jaaved Jaffrey’s son Meezaan Jafri reached the holy city of Mecca to perform Umrah.

Taking to Instagram stories, the ‘Hungama 2’ actor posted a couple of pictures and videos from his visit to the holy city.

In one frame, Meezaan is clad in a white shawl, a typical attire to perform Umrah. He captioned the post as ‘Umrah’. In another frame, he wrote, “4 hr drive later, No sleep, No sehri, But we got to finish what we came to do…” as he reached the Masjid Al Nabawi.

Earlier Television actor Hina Khan and Bigg Boss contestants Aly Gony and Asim Riaz also participated in Umrah, this year.

On the work front, Meezaan made his debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Malaal’, which tanked at the box office.

The actor was last seen in the comedy-drama ‘Hungama 2’, which was released on the OTT platform Disney plus Hotstar.

Meezaan will next be seen in ‘Yaariyan 2’ alongside Divya Khosla Kumar, and Pearl V Puri. Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ fame have come on board to direct the second installment. ‘Yaariyan’, which was directed by Divya, starred Himansh Kohli, Rakul Preet Singh and Nicole Faria.

Tum Kyu Darogi: SSR’s Sis Drops Cryptic Tweet For Rhea

Actor Rhea Chakraborty, on Monday, announced that she will be seen as the new gang leader in the upcoming season of ‘MTV Roadies’. The makers of the show unveiled the new promo of the ‘Chehre’ actor.

Shortly after the promo was out, late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Priyanka Singh, took to her social media account to drop a cryptic note in Hindi.
In the promo, Rhea said, “Aapko kya laga mein wapas nahi aaungi, darr jaungi? ab darne ki baari kisi aur ki.”

Taking to Twitter, Priyanka wrote a cryptic post in Hindi which reads, “Tum kyun darogi? Tum to vyashya thi, ho aur rahogi! Prashna ye hai ki tumhare upbhogta kon hai? Koi sattadhari hi ye himmat de sakta hai. WhoResponsible 4Delay InSSRCs is obvious (sic).”

Soon after the promo was out, several fans congratulated the actor for her comeback, while some dropped hate comments.

“Worst choice,” a user wrote.

Another user commented, “Such a mood spoiler…. Will boycott rodies.”

“Really I am so excited to see her,” a user wrote.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14, 2020, in his Bandra flat.

A lot of controversies emerged after his untimely demise.

Allegations were made that the death of the actor and his former assistant Disha Salian, who had died on June 8, 2020, were linked and the duo had been murdered.

Days after his death, the late actor’s father filed an FIR against Sushant’s then-girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty accusing her of abetment of suicide and money laundering. Sushant’s father demanded legal action against her.

The case was soon transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation. Enforcement Directorate and Narcotics Control Bureau also got involved to investigate accusations of money laundering and drugs. None of these charges have been proven yet. (ANI)

On Sunday, the ‘Mr. India’ actor took to his Instagram account and shared his workout video in which he could be seen exercising shirtless at -110 degree Celsius.
“Naughty at 40 ka time gaya…its time to be Sexy at 60…#fightermodeon,” he captioned the post.

In the video, Anil could be seen undergoing cryotherapy. He can be seen working out shirtless in an enclosed space with freezing temperatures and jumping and jogging while giving a thumbs up.

Soon after he dropped the video, fans flooded the comment section and dropped red heart emoticons and lauded the actor for his dedication at this age.

“Wah wah wah mujhe b karna hai,” comedian Kapil Sharma commented.

A user wrote, “Legend stuff.”

The actor is currently gearing up for his upcoming aerial action thriller film ‘Fighter’ in which he will be seen alongside Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.

Helmed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Fighter’ also stars Akshay Oberoi and Karan Singh Grover in the lead roles and is all set to hit the theatres on January 25, 2024.

The film marks Deepika and Hrithik’s first on-screen collaboration.

Meanwhile, Anil will also be seen in director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming gangster drama film ‘Animal’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna.
