Tiger, Jackie Receive Invitation For Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha Ceremony

Jackie Shroff, along with his son Tiger Shroff, has received an invitation for the Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony in Ayodhya.

Taking to Instagram, Jackie Shroff shared a string of pictures on Tuesday which he captioned, “We are blessed to be a part of the most auspicious Shri Ram JanmBhoomi Mandir Praan-Pratishtha Ceremony on 22nd January at Ayodhya. Grateful to each and every one who is involved and has contributed since so many decades, to bring this historical day in the lives of us Indians. Thanks to the respected Dignitaries of the incredible organization..RSS, Shri Sunil Ambekar ji, Shri Ajay Mudpe ji and our dear friend Mahaveer Jain who visited and graced our home with the Auspicious invitation!”

In the pictures, Jackie along with his wife Ayesha Shroff and son Tiger Shroff, could be seen receiving the invitation from the RSS dignitaries.

The ‘Pran Pratistha’ ceremony is scheduled to take place on January 22, 2024.

The preparations are underway for the Pran Pratishtha event, which is expected to draw dignitaries and ordinary people from all walks of life.

Prime Minister Modi will preside over the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of the Ram Lalla’s idol at the grand temple. The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust has decided to enthrone Ram Lalla at the sanctum-sanctorum of the shrine at noon on January 22.

The birthplace of Lord Ram, Ayodhya holds great spiritual, historical, and cultural significance for the people.

The trust has also invited 4,000 saints for the ceremony.

Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla (infant Lord Ram) in Ayodhya will begin on January 16, a week before the main ceremony.

A priest from Varanasi, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, will perform the main rituals of the Pran Pratishtha. From January 14 to 22, Ayodhya will mark Amrit Mahautsav.

A 1008 Hundi Mahayagya will also be organised, in which thousands of devotees will be fed. Several tent cities are being erected in Ayodhya to accommodate thousands of devotees who are expected to arrive in the temple town for the grand event. (ANI)

Jackie Celebrates 40 Years Of ‘Hero’

It’s a special day for veteran actor Jackie Shroff as his hit film ‘Hero’ completed 40 years on Saturday.

Celebrating his four-decade-long journey, Jackie took to Instagram and shared a video featuring memorable moments from the film.

“From Dust to Star…#Hero #40years,” he captioned the post.

Directed by Subhash Ghai, ‘Hero’ also starred Meenakshi Seshadri and late actors Amrish Puri, Shammi Kapoor, Sanjeev Kumar.

Ghai also celebrated the 40th anniversary of ‘Hero’.

Jackie Wishes Gavaskar On 74th Birthday

As former India captain Sunil Gavaskar turned 74 today, actor Jackie Shroff shared a special wish for his “real hero” on social media.

Sharing the picture, he wrote, “Happy birthday to my real hero @gavaskarsunilofficial.”

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar, also known by the nicknames ‘Sunny’ and ‘Little Master’, is doublessly among the greatest Indian cricketers to have graced the gentleman’s game.

The diminutive opener, who burst into the cricketing spotlight in his debut Test series overseas against the mighty West Indies, fronting up to the fiery Caribbean quicks, broke numerous batting records while setting new ones over the course of a spectacular career.

Several of his historic and heroic innings in cricket’s logest and, arguably, the toughest format, came between 1971 and 1987. Through his many memeorable knocks, which came on some of the least hospitable surfaces, got him among the pantheon of legends.

Having learned his first lessons with the willow in the dustbowls of Mumbai, the city he was born, Sunny was as much at home playing on some of the bounciest strips in the Caribbean as he was on rank turners of the Indian sub-continent.

A distinguished member of India’s maiden World Cup winning squad of 1983, Gahaskar once held the record for scoring the most centuries in Tests. The Mumbaikar, who scored more than 10,000 runs in red-ball cricket, brought curtains to his career with 45 half-centuries and 34 centuries against his name.

While his exploits with the willow is the stuff of legends, he was shrewd fielder and a leader too.

Not counting wicketkeepers, he was the first Indian fielder to have achieved a milestone of a century of catches in Test cricket.

For the record, he took an incredible 108 catches in his Test career.

Coming back to Jackie Shroff’s work front, he will be seen in ‘Jailer’ starring Rajnikanth in the lead role, this movie also includes stars like Ramya Krishnan, Priyanka Arul Mohan and Shiva Rajkumar and Tamannaah Bhatia. The ‘Lingaa’ actor has teamed up with filmmaker Nelson Dilipkumar for this project.

He will be next seen in ‘Baap’ alongside Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Mithun Chakraborty. (ANI)

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ishaan is currently busy with ‘Phone Bhoot’ promotions. In the film, he will be seen sharing screen space with Katrina Kaif and Siddhant Chaturvedi.

Helmed by Gurmeet Singh and written by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath, the film is all set to hit the theatres on November 4, 2022.

Sunny Gives Bhutta Treat To His Gang On 66th Birthday

Actor Sunny Deol chose to celebrate his 66th birthday with his team in Manali.

Taking to Instagram, Sunny shared a few photographs in which he is seen giving ‘bhutta’ treats to his friends on his birthday.

In one of the images, Sunny is seen taking a bite of his deliciously charred corn.

Sunny received several birthday wishes on Instagram.

Sunny’s brother Bobby Deol, too, dropped a heartfelt wish for him on Instagram.

The Deol brothers have also worked together in a few films, including Dillagi, Apne, and Yamla Pagla Deewana. The two will be seen in ‘Apne 2’ soon. The sequel will also star their father Dharmendra and Sunny’s son Karan Deol.

Directed by Anil Sharma, the upcoming film is the sequel to the much-loved family drama ‘Apne’, which was released in 2007. The film, which revolves around the importance of family bonds, also starred Kirron Kher, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and Katrina Kaif.

The Apne 2 team will start shooting for the film soon. Reportedly, they will also head to London for the major sequence of the film. (ANI)

Anil Shares How Insecure He Was With Jackie Shroff’s Success

While… The “N” bomb was dropped again in the latest episode of “Koffee With Karan.” The host sparked the nepotism debate-outsider vs star kid with Anil Kapoor and Varun Dhawan. Anil revealed that he was insecure about Jackie Shroff’s success.

During the almost hour-long show, conversations among the guests and the host swung from topics of infidelity, and role-playing to nepotism, and much more.
Anil Kapoor revealed that he was insecure about Jackie’s success after he bagged the big project under Subhash Ghai’s banner.

When Karan Johar asked the ‘Mr. India’s actor, about his view on Nepotism.

Anil said, “I just don’t take it seriously. I feel you just keep doing your work and your work speaks. This is a kind of question, especially if you are an actor, you can’t pass on that legacy to your brother or son. You either have it or you don’t. I remember when I started, there was Sunny (Deol), Sanju (Sanjay Dutt).”

Karan Johar interrupted him and brought Jackie’s (Jackie Shroff) name. To which Anil responded, he was an outsider but he got his big break with a Subhash Ghai film and he became an A-lister just with the announcement.

He said, at that time, he was doing big roles and South Indian films and I did feel, you know kind of not feeling good about it. Yaar why. The day I signed a Yash Chopra film, I felt like now I am fine.”

Karan asked, “Did you feel insure about Jackie’s success at that time.”

Anil admitted that by saying, yeah he became a huge success. And I remember so well and he was such a sweet guy. When we were shooting, whenever he used to get the autograph book, he always passed it to me to sign first.

However, these discussions might sound like Koffee staples to the regular audience of the show however, in an interesting turn of events, there was a new segment for which Anil and Varun played marriage gurus and shared advice with callers.

The first person on the call asked for advice from Anil regarding how to spice up his sex life, to which Varun recommended trying ashwagandha and practicing making love at least three times a week.

Another caller rang in to ask Varun for advice about how to get intimate with his wife while living in a small house with family members. To this, Varun said, “I think when you are in your room, play some romantic music and it will also help with the mood.”

This was followed by the rapid-fire round where the ‘Badlapur’ actor kept taking Arjun Kapoor’s name as his answer for a number of questions.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Anil will be next seen in an aerial action thriller film ‘Fighter’ alongside Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the film’s official release date is still awaited.

Varun, on the other hand, will next be seen in ‘Bawaal’ opposite Janhvi Kapoor. He also has ‘Bhediya’ opposite Kriti Sanon in the offing. (ANI)
