SRK Admits Feeling Nervous On Returning After Four Years

2023 has been a great year for all the SRK fans, as the Superstar after a long hiatus of 4 years released three films ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’ and lastly ‘Dunki’ which have all set records at the box office.

On Monday, at a special fan meet and greet event in Mumbai, the ‘Don’ actor expressed gratitude towards his fans for showering the love they have bestowed upon him.

Taking to X, Shah Rukh Khan Universe Fan Club shared a video in which King Khan said, “Because I have been working for 33 years and you take such a big gap. Normally you do feel a little nervous and you feel ki ‘arrey yaar! I hope I have got the film right’.”

As per a source close to the team of ‘Dunki’, the makers might hold a special screening for the UK government.

“Since Dunki narrates the story of illegal immigrants who take the Donkey route to enter the cross borders, the UK government has found it to be a relevant subject in today’s time. The film has received tremendous love from the UK audience, as not only it talks about an important issue but also highlights the dangerous Dunki route, and hence now the government is also keen to watch the film,” the source-based statement read.

Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘Dunki’ features Shah Rukh alongside Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar and Anil Grover.

‘Dunki’ focuses on the issue of immigration. Its title is taken from the term “donkey journey”, which refers to the long-winding, often dangerous routes that people across the world take to reach the places they want to immigrate to.

However, SRK has still not announced his next project. (ANI)

Sikkim: 23 Jawans Missing Due To Flash Flood In Teesta River

As many as 23 army jawans have been reported missing after a flash flood occurred in the Teesta River of Lachen Valley due to a sudden cloud burst over Lhonak Lake in North Sikkim, said officials.

The Defence Public Relations Officer (PRO) Guwahati informed about the incident on X and posted, “23 army personnel have been reported missing due to a flash flood that occurred in Teesta River in Lachen Valley after a sudden cloud burst over Lhonak Lake in North Sikkim.”

Giving information about the outburst, the Gangtok District Administration said, “The flash flood made its way through River Teesta sweeping Indreni Bridge in Singtam town, some 30 kilometres from Gangtok. A connecting bridge of the Balutar hamlet was also swept away around 4 am.”

South Lhonark lake, situated in North West Sikkim, had seen a cloud burst causing incessant monsoon rainfall during the early hours of Wednesday morning. 

The flowing flash flood made its way through River Teesta sweeping Indreni Bridge in Singtam town, some 30 kilometres from Gangtok informed Gangtok District Administration. Another connecting bridge of Balutar hamlet was also swept away around 4 am.

As per information from Mangan District Administration, Chungthang town, some 90 kilometres north of Gangtok, houses the Teesta Stage 3 Dam. Upon high alert, the local residents have been evacuated in the area.

“Similarly, the Teesta Stage 5 dam at Dikchu in Mangan district was opened up for water disbursement after a high alert. It is reported that the control room of the dam has been severely damaged,” they informed.

Many homes near the River Teesta, situated in Gangtok’s Singtam have been evacuated. Additionally, temporary relief facilities have been established in the town’s Singtam Senior Secondary School, added officials. (ANI)

SRK Blockbuster ‘Jawan’ Mints ₹1000 Cr On Box Office

The highest-grossing Bollywood release this year and the fourth-highest of all time, superstar Shah Rukh Khan starrer action-thriller ‘Jawan’ continued its marauding run across the global box office, surpassing a phenomenal Rs 1000 crore milestone worldwide.

Taking to Instagram, actor Sanya Malhotra shared this exciting news with her fans.

She captioned the post, “History in the maKING ft. Jawan! 🔥”

‘Jawan’ has redefined box office success, captivating audiences with its gripping storyline and stellar performances, and rewriting record books along the way.

With his previous release ‘Pathaan’ and now ‘Jawan’, SRK has become the first actor to have two films grossing Rs 1000cr each in a single year.

Post the success of the movie, the makers recently held a press conference in Mumbai.

The event was attended by SRK, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and Atlee.

Sharing his excitement for the success of the movie, Shah Rukh said, “It’s a celebration. We rarely get a chance to live with a film for years. The making of Jawan has been going on for four years due to Covid and time constraints. There were a lot of people involved in this film, especially people from the South who came and settled in Mumbai and have been living in Mumbai for the last four years and working day and night for this film, which is the hardest work ever.”

Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Girija Oak and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya make the stellar cast of the film, which his South helmer Atlee’s maiden Bollywood directorial.

Released on September 7, ‘Jawan’  marked the first collaboration of SRK with director Atlee.

The film received massive responses from the audience and has become the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film.

SRK also confirmed the release date of his upcoming movie ‘Dunki’ at the success event of ‘Jawan’.

“We started on January 26, Republic Day (with Pathaan), then on Janmashtami we released Jawan, now New Year and Christmas are round the corner, we will release ‘Dunki’,” the superstar said.

Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film also stars Taapsee Pannu as the female lead.

‘Dunki’ marks the first collaboration of the ‘Chak De India’ actor with ‘3 Idiots’ fame director Hirani and ‘Pink’ actor Taapsee. (ANI)

‘Always A Pleasure’: SRK on Working With Deepika Padukone

Actor Shah Rukh Khan on Friday shared his experience of working once again with Deepika Padukone in the action thriller film ‘Jawan’.

Apart from ‘Jawan’, SRK and Deepika have previously worked together in films like ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘Pathaan’. They were also seen together in ‘Billu’ and ‘Zero’ in which Deepika had a special cameo.

SRK on Friday conducted his famous #AskSRK session on X (formerly known as Twitter) where he answered several fans’ questions.

During the session, a user asked him, “How was it being on set with Deepika for the 7th time?”

To which SRK responded, “It’s always a pleasure and happiness working with her.”

Deepika and SRK’s chemistry in the film ‘Jawan’ received a lot of appreciation from the audience.

During the #AskSRK session, a user also asked SRK what was his son AbRam’s reaction after watching ‘Jawan’? to which he replied, “Baap Baap hota hai..!! No no just joking. He loved the fight with the Big guy….he loved it in the climax. #Jawan.”

Another user asked the ‘Chak De India’ actor which of his characters Vikram and Aazad he loved the most in ‘Jawan’?

SRK responded, “Arre how to choose. I loved the fact that they both hug warmly even when they do to each other and kiss when they hug. #Jawan.”

Meanwhile, talking about ‘Jawan’, the film received massive responses from the audience and has become the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film.

On Thursday, the film minted Rs 7.25 crores which took the film’s total India collection to Rs 473.44 crores.

Helmed by Atlee, the film also starred Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles.

Priyamani Recalls How She Came Onboard ‘Jawan’

Actor Priyamani is currently basking in the success of ‘Jawan’.

In the film, Priyamani portrayed the role of Lakshmi, a member of Shah Rukh’s all-girl squad. Her versatile performance undoubtedly depth to the film.

In an interview with ANI, Priyamani recalled what actually made her say yes to the film, which is directed by none other than Atlee.

“Atlee Sir told me about this story via Zoom and the session took 1-2 hours. I liked the story and told him that it was something new and different. It was giving a chance to women to perform action,” she shared.

Released on September 7, ‘Jawan’ crossed the Rs 900-crore mark in the global market. It is now eyeing Rs 1000 crore.

On this blockbuster box office collection, Priyamani said, “Honestly, I didn’t know it would be such a big hit…I’m glad that we are part of such a wonderful film.”

Besides Priyamani, ‘Jawan’ also features Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra and Ridhi Dogra among others.

Recently, actor Ridhi Dogra also opened up about her experience working in ‘Jawan’.

“THIS FILM IS A BLOCKBUSTER ! Is what I said every time I was on the sets of Jawan. You all are celebrating the film as a festival which makes me want to celebrate too with this loooong post. #towhomsoeveritmayconcern. I’m grateful beyond words for everyone acknowledging my bit in the film. It gives courage to an artist to keep taking risks and I thank you for that deeply. I am a feeling’s person. She also shared how it’s been like a rollercoaster ride for her to be a part of multiple projects, all at once.

“In between schedules for Asur/Badtameez Dil/Pitchers/Lakadbagha – Conducive spaces for me to showcase my characters comfortably… Jawan was a Test and a GOLDEN opportunity. As a person, I was on an emotional roller coaster and a mess to say the least. Being mostly alone during shoots didn’t help. But as a student of Cinema, it was a Dream Come True. I got to Observe and Learn and Soak it all in. Every time I was on set I was Like a kid in a candy story. In Cinema History !!! No where else I’d rather be.”

Ridhi called SRK her “favourite co-star.””Lastly, As a Fan ! Well. I was speechless or dumbfounded. And the old age prosthetics didn’t help my swag AT ALL.But to see Shah Rukh on set. His dedication. His patience. His focus. His commitment to the larger picture was just such a Privilege.I know i got a Lifelong answer to ‘who’s your favorite costar’ !!!The entire crew and all the teams have so passionately and selflessly worked on it. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan whose recent release action thrilled Jawan is leaving no stone unturned to set a new benchmark at the box office, has been receiving appreciation from critics and audience. Veteran actor Anupam Kher on Monday penned a sweet message in ‘DDLJ’ style.

Taking to Instagram, Kher shared a picture of him with SRK and captioned it, “My dear Shahrukh ! Just now I have left Amritsar to watch your film “Jawan” with audiences. Enjoyed it. The bond of Raj (SRK) with his cool dad Dharamvir Malhotra (Anupam Kher) is beyond words.

Coming back to ‘Jawan’, which is helmed by Atlee, having arrived as an absolute festival, the film is creating new records.

The film has become the fastest Hindi movie to cross the Rs 500 crore mark at the global box office. It took the film just four days to reach this coveted milestone.

Red Chillies Entertainment, the production company behind the film, celebrated this remarkable achievement by sharing the news on Instagram.

The film’s collection at the global box office stands at Rs 520.79 crore so far.

The film was released worldwide in theatres on September 7th, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.

In ‘Jawan’, SRK shares screen space with Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Deepika Padukone among others. 

Talking about Kher’s work front was recently seen in the Extraction series, ‘The Freelancer’.

He will be next seen in ‘The Vaccine War’. The first look posters of ‘The Vaccine War’ cast were unveiled on Saturday and the film will be released on September 28.

Kher also shared the look of his character from his 528th film, the Telugu drama, ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’.

‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’ is a period film set in the 1970s based on real incidents around a notorious and courageous thief (Ravi Teja) and the people of Stuartpuram.

Written and directed by Vamsee, the film is produced by Abhishek Agarwal under the Abhishek Agarwal Arts banner and presented by Tej Narayan Agarwal.

Deepika Holds AbRam Close At Jawan’s Screening

Makers of the recently released action thriller film ‘Jawan’ on Wednesday night hosted a grand premiere in Mumbai where several big B-town celebs marked their presence.

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, and Sanya Malhotra among others were among the attendees.

Several inside pictures and videos from the grand event went viral on social media and in one such picture, actor Deepika Padukone could be seen holding SRK’s younger son AbRam.

AbRam looked cute se he was dressed in a white t-shirt and black shorts and was seen smiling for the shutterbugs. Deepika is also smiling from ear to ear in the picture. 

Gauri Khan’s mother Savita Chibber can be seen standing next to her grandson in the photo.

Deepika and SRK have worked together in several films like ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Happy New Year’ and  ‘Pathaan’ and interestingly each of the films were hits.

The ‘Piku’ actor also has a cameo in SRK’s latest release ‘Jawan’.

The Internet has gone crazy over Deepika’s cameo, and is immensely lauding her superlative screen presence and the evergreen sizzling chemistry between Deepika-SRK. 

While Shah Rukh and his seven avatars are the centre of attention for sure, fans also can’t help but laud Deepika’s character who appears in an extended cameo.

As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has already amassed an impressive Rs 51.17 crore in worldwide advance bookings, and it has managed to surpass the opening day record of ‘Pathaan’ in India.

For ‘Jawan’ promotions, SRK travelled to several places. He attended grand pre-release event in Chennai. He also visited Dubai, where ‘Jawan’ trailer was displayed at Burj Khalifa.

Talking about Deepika’s work front, she will be next seen in the Pan-India film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan.
