Karisma Describes Raj Kapoor As Fashion Icons

Apart from her acting skills, Karisma Kapoor has always been looked upto for her fashion choices. From the early 90s to now, the elder daughter of veteran actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita, has never missed a chance to flaunt her fashion prowess.

Well, when it comes to dressing well, the Kapoor clan has undoubtedly proved that stylish genes do run in the family. Karisma believes the same.

While speaking to media on Day 1 of Lakme Fashion Week 2023 in Delhi, the ‘Raja Hindustani’ star recalled how her late grandparents left a profound impact on her with their style.

” I would honestly say my dadaji and my dadi (were the most fashionable members in my family)…they always wore white clothes. My dadi always wore white sarees…so my love for white came from there. And, of course, today it is my sister (who has been the most fashionable),” she said.

Karisma walked the ramp for ‘Raw Mango’ on Tuesday. She was seen in a golden jumpsuit with a half-black golden overcoat on it.

Sharing her experience hitting the ramp, Karisma added “As an actor, we are used to being in front of the camera and not in front of the ramp. I have to admit we always feel a bit nervous before walking the ramp, of course, I have done my fair share of ramp walks but tonight was different. It was like we were flowing with fashion.”

Actresses Saba Azad and Kalki were also a part of the opening show.

They all represented designer Sanjay Garg’s collection ‘Children of the Night’. (ANI)

Kareena, Karisma Drop Lovely B’day Messages For Babita

Star siblings Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor know best how to make their family members feel special.

On their mother and veteran actress Babita’s birthday, the duo posted adorable wishes on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Kareena posted a super cute image featuring her little son Jeh sitting next to his grandmom Babita.

“My MA…My first home…My forever home…Happy Birthday to the most beautiful person I have ever known,” she captioned the post.

Karisma also marked her mother’s birthday by posting a priceless picture.

The picture shows young Babita holding baby Karisma in her arms.

“To the OG Sunita: Happy Birthday to you…Love you Mama #bestmama #happybirthday,” she captioned the post.

Karisma’s picture garnered loads of likes and comments.

“Uffffff mom was too HOT…we get it from our MAMA,” Kareena commented.

“Too cute,” Malaika Arora wrote.

Babita had acted in several films, including ‘Farz’, ‘Dus Lakh’, ‘Kismat’, ‘Jeet’ and ‘Kal Aaj Aur Kal’, among others.

She featured in as many as 19 movies before she brought a premature end to her big-screen career following her marriage to actor Randhir Kapoor.

Although Randhir and Babita have been separated for decades, they never got a divorce.

However, a few months ago, several reports claimed that the couple is back to staying together. (ANI)

Karisma Poses With Tom Holland, Zendaya At NMACC

Actor Karisma Kapoor, on Sunday, shared a string of pictures from the NMACC Gala night in which she could be seen posing with the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ actors Tom Holland and Zendaya.

Taking to Instagram, Karisma shared the pictures which she captioned, “All heart to Nita Ji, Mukesh Ji, Isha & the Ambani Family @nnmac.india is an alchemy of art and culture which draws from centuries of tradition. Proudly bringing Indian culture & heritage to a global platform. The last 2 days have been nothing but immersing myself in culture, fashion, beauty and so much more! In the first picture, Karisma could be seen posing with the Founder-Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Nita Ambani and Hollywood actor Zendaya.

In another pic, the ‘Raja Hindustani’ actor can be seen pouting with Zendaya for a selfie.

The third pic has Karisma and Tom Holland striking a pose, while others have some glimpses from the NMACC gala night.

Soon after she dropped the pictures from the event, fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons.

“OH MY FREAKING GOD,” a fan commented.

Another fan wrote, “Looking stunning.”

“Fantastic snap,” a user wrote.

Karisma could be seen donning a black deep-neck outfit.

‘Euphoria’ star Zendaya looked stunning in a sheer violet saree with floral designs created by Indian designer Rahul Mishra.

On the other hand, Spider-Man star Tom Holland looked dapper as always in a sleek yet classic black tuxedo.

The NMACC, situated within the Jio World Centre at Bandra Kurla Complex here, was inaugurated on Friday and the fashion showcase was launched on the second day of the opening gala on Saturday.

The exhibition explores the layered impact that traditional Indian dress, textiles and craft have had on international fashion sensibility since the 18th century and features iconic Western couture and ready-to-wear designs inspired by India, from the 20th and 21st centuries.

Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal, and Karan Johar among others also arrived at the event. (ANI)

Karisma To Malaika Shower Birthday Wishes On Jeh

As Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan’s son Jehangir Ali Khan turned two on Tuesday, several Bollywood celebs took to their social media accounts and extended heartfelt wishes to Jeh.

Marking the special occasion, Karisma Kapoor took to Instagram to wish her nephew. She dropped an adorable picture with him along with a caption, “All tied up #herecomes2 . Happy birthday to my J baba love you moistest.”

Sharing the picture where Malaika Arora is seen giving a peck on Jeh’s cheek and both are dressed in white outfits.

She captioned the picture, “It’s our cutieee patooties jeh babas bday.”

Amrita Arora shared a smiling picture of Kareena and Jeh baba and wrote, “Happy birthday our doll Jeh baba.”

Soha Ali Khan dropped a cute picture of Jeh, who can be seen lying on the couch with cushion over him. The cushion that read, ” its my Birthday.”

Saif’s sister Saba Pataudi dropped a series of pictures of baby Jeh.

Sharing the pictures, she penned a sweet birthday wish, “Rule the world…My darling Jeh! May luck love n blessing. Pave your path, Forever! Love You my Munchkin! Happy 2nd Birthday.”

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni posted a cute picture in which Randhir and Jeh could be seen looking at each other and making cute pout faces in front of a dining table. She wrote, Happy happiest bday to this cutie.”

Neetu Kapoor wrote, “Happy birthday Jeh the cuteness.”

Kunal Kemmu took to Insta story and uploaded a funny picture of himself with little one. Alongwith the photo, he wrote, “Happy Birthday Jeh baba!! Love you lil lion.”

Neha Dhupia also wished Jeh and wrote, Happy happy jeh baba to having “two” much fun two-gether.”

Earlier today, Kareena Kapoor shared two throwback pictures of Jeh from the sets of her HansalMehta film in London, which show him in a grumpy mood as he refuses to leave her lap.

Describing the particular moment, Kareena wrote, “Doesn’t want to leave my lap… this situation will soon reverse. I love you with all my heart and soul, my Jeh baba! Happy Birthday son. Thank you, @khamkhaphotoartist, for capturing this precious moment on our TBM set in London, 2022. Forever and more.”

Kareena and Saif tied the knot in October 2012 in a private ceremony in Mumbai. The couple was blessed with Taimur in 2016 and later in 2021 they became parents to Jeh. (ANI)

Malaika Turns 49, B’day Wishes Pour In

Bollywood celebs poured in warm birthday wishes for Malaika Arora on Sunday.

Taking to her Instagram story, Ananya Panday dropped a picture with the birthday girl from their party nights.

Sharing the picture, she wrote, “The hottest and coolest, and you make it all look so easy. Happy birthday, Malla!!! Love you.”

Sonam Kapoor re-shared Arjun Kapoor’s post she captioned, “Happy happy birthday darling. You’re a beautiful soul..all my love.”

Filmmaker Rhea Kapoor also extended the wishes. She wrote, “Happy birthday to this happy positive force.”

Karisma Kapoor also extended heartfelt birthday wishes to ‘Malla’. She dropped a boomerang video, which is captioned, “Happy birthday Malla, Too many more fun times.”

Meanwhile, Malaika, after glamorizing the film industry with her sexy moves, is all set to become an author. She will soon write her debut book which is going to be all about nutrition. The actor, who also serves as a judge on the reality show ‘India’s Best Dancer’, will be sharing her wellness tips in the book. (ANI)
