Karisma Turns Speaker At Harvard Business School

Actor Karisma Kapoor was one of the speakers at the India Conference at Harvard Business School in Boston, Massachusetts.

On Monday, Karisma took to Instagram and expressed her happiness on receiving an opportunity to share her views at a session titled ‘Soft Power of Bollywood’ at the renowned institute. Interestingly, Karisma’s sister and actor Kareena Kapoor marked a special “virtual” appearance at Karisma’s session.

Karisma also shared a string of images from her session at Harvard.

Meanwhile, on the acting front, Karisma will be seen in an upcoming series ‘Brown’.

Helmed by Abhinay Deo of ‘Delhi Belly’ fame, ‘Brown’ is based on Rita Brown, a suicidal alcoholic, and Arjun Sinha, a widower with survivor’s guilt. The protagonists need to deal with an unstoppable serial killer on the loose.

Karisma also has director Homi Adajania’s next ‘Murder Mubarak’ alongside Sara Ali Khan.

Sharing more details about ‘Murder Mubarak’, Homi Adajania in a statement said,”Murder Mubarak is a cinematic concoction of actors that are loved across genres and generations and believe me each one of them has done such a fab job in bringing these eccentric characters to life. This film has that binge-worthy magic that lends itself to a compulsive watch. It’s a colorful murder mystery that will make you want to rewind and watch it over again when you wonder how you missed all the clues in this breadcrumb-laden whodunnit. And thanks to our collab with Netflix, with its international reach, it’s like throwing the coolest, wackiest party and the whole world is invited.”

Dinesh Vijan, Producer, Maddock Films, has also shared his views.”This is the sixth project that Homi and I are diving into and I wanted to up the ante by finding a uniquely entertaining narrative and then this happened! Also to have such an eclectic ensemble bring to life a script that is one of the quirkier and more entertaining murder mysteries that I’ve read was very exciting for me,” he shared.

Karisma Describes Raj Kapoor As Fashion Icons

Apart from her acting skills, Karisma Kapoor has always been looked upto for her fashion choices. From the early 90s to now, the elder daughter of veteran actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita, has never missed a chance to flaunt her fashion prowess.

Well, when it comes to dressing well, the Kapoor clan has undoubtedly proved that stylish genes do run in the family. Karisma believes the same.

While speaking to media on Day 1 of Lakme Fashion Week 2023 in Delhi, the ‘Raja Hindustani’ star recalled how her late grandparents left a profound impact on her with their style.

” I would honestly say my dadaji and my dadi (were the most fashionable members in my family)…they always wore white clothes. My dadi always wore white sarees…so my love for white came from there. And, of course, today it is my sister (who has been the most fashionable),” she said.

Karisma walked the ramp for ‘Raw Mango’ on Tuesday. She was seen in a golden jumpsuit with a half-black golden overcoat on it.

Sharing her experience hitting the ramp, Karisma added “As an actor, we are used to being in front of the camera and not in front of the ramp. I have to admit we always feel a bit nervous before walking the ramp, of course, I have done my fair share of ramp walks but tonight was different. It was like we were flowing with fashion.”

Actresses Saba Azad and Kalki were also a part of the opening show.

Kareena Wishes Numero Uno Sis Karisma On Her B’day

Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan on Saturday extended a heartfelt birthday wish for her sister Karisma Kapoor.

Taking to Instagram, Kareena shared a collage video which she captioned, “My numero uno @therealkarismakapoor #MyForever #MyLoloIsTheBest #HappyBirthdayLolo.”

The collage video featured Bebo and Lolo’s throwback photos and clips with their families, childhood days and their fun moments.

Soon after she dropped the video, fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons.

Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan commented, “Awwww. Happy Birthday @therealkarismakapoor have a wonderful everyday always.”

A fan commented, “You guys are bollywood’s best pair of sisters”

Another user wrote, “She is the Best… Most beautiful,evergreen @therealkarismakapoor HAPPY Birthday.”

Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor are the daughters of veteran stars Randhir Kapoor and Babita, they are also the granddaughters of legendary actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor and the great-granddaughter of actor Prithviraj Kapoor.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena will share the screen with Tabu and Kriti Sanon and Diljit Dosanjh in the film ‘The Crew’. The shoot of the film commenced last week.

Helmed by Rajesh Krishnan, the film is a story of three women. It is touted as a laugh-riot, set against the backdrop of the struggling airline industry. However, their destinies lead to some unwarranted situations and they get caught in a web of lies.

She also has Sujoy Ghosh’s next thriller film which is based on the book The Devotion Of Suspect X. It also stars Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Karisma, on the other hand, will be next seen in an upcoming series ‘Brown’.

Kareena Enjoys Lunch Date With Her Ladies In London

Kareena Kapoor Khan shared a picture from her lunch date with the ladies including her sister Karisma and Rima Jain.

The ‘Good Newwz’ actor took to her Instagram story and treated fans with a new picture from her London trip.
In the picture, Kareena was seen posing with her aunt Rima Jain, Karisma and others.

Sharing the picture, she wrote, “Lunching with the ladies,” with heart emoji.

Kareena is currently shooting for Hansal Mehta’s project in London. Recently, shared a glimpse of how she is spending a day off from the shoot with her younger son Jeh.

Speaking of the project, it is being helmed by Hansal Mehta. It is co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Kareena.

On working with Kareena, Ektaa has earlier shared, “Kareena has been an actor with a huge, admirable (almost envious) body of work… and while her male co-stars turned producers in due course, she’s finally joined the bandwagon now! I’ve always believed that women have an equal part or play in the business and success of a film.”

Ektaa added, “It’s been a hard journey, but an encouraging & happy one! I’m so glad that today, we can empower each other like this! Kareena-Karisma Enjoy Maharashtrian Thali

The Kapoor sisters had a hearty Maharashtrian thali meal today and going by the pictures, it sure looks like a feast for food lovers!

Kareena and Karisma joined their nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar for a Maharashtrian lunch on Saturday.
Karisma took to Instagram to share glimpse of what their lunch looked like. Well, as mentioned by her, the ‘Thaali’ had typical Maharashtrian serves like Jhunka, Bhakri, Ambadi Bhaji, Kothibir Vadi, Sol Kadhi, and Bhopvyache Bharit.

In the photo, Kareena is seen wearing a white khadi co-ord set while her sister Karisma has donned a classic striped white kurta.

Karisma captioned the photo, “Maharashtrian thali meal day #Yumyum,” before adding the names of the dishes mentioned above.

Karisma also shared a photo on her story wherein she is seen seated on a dining table with Kareena and Rujuta, devouring the delicious meal!

Both Kareena and Karisma have had Rujuta as their nutritionist for years.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena was seen in ‘Laal Singh Chadha’ opposite Aamir Khan. She also recently wrapped up shooting her OTT debut project helmed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film is based on the Japanese novel ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’, which also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma in the lead roles.

She also has started preparing for Hansal Mehta’s film.

On the other hand, her sister Karisma is all set to come up with Brown, a project directed by Abhinay Deo of Delhi Belly fame. (ANI)
