Salman Greets Fans Gathered Outside Galaxy Apart On 58th B’day

On the occasion of Salman Khan’s 58th birthday, the actor along with his father Salim Khan greeted the fans standing outside his residence, Galaxy apartment, in Mumbai.

The ‘Dabangg’ actor was seen waving at his fans from his balcony, however, his father was seen standing behind him.

Several pictures and videos surfaced on social media.

The ‘Sultan’ actor was seen donning a casual grey t-shirt.

Starstruck fans from various cities queued at his Mumbai residence since morning to wish the star in their own special ways. Many even carried sweets, t-shirts, huge posters of Salman along with them.

In the early hours of Wednesday, the Khan family hosted a party at Arpita Khan Sharma’s residence in Mumbai to celebrate Salman and his niece Ayat’s birthday.

The duo cut the cakes at an intimate birthday bash in the presence of family and close friends.

Several videos went viral giving a glimpse of Salman’s midnight birthday celebration.

In the videos, looking handsome as always, the ‘Dabangg’ actor wore a black shirt paired with blue jeans.

He was also seen singing the birthday song for his niece as she cut her large cake with dad Aayush Sharma and mom Arpita Khan.

The bash was attended by Lulia Vantur, Arbaaz Khan, Arbaaz Khan’s son Arhaan Khan, Sohail Khan, Helen, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Aayush Sharma, Arpita Khan Sharma, Bobby Deol and more.

Salman returned to Mumbai in the early hours of Wednesday to celebrate his birthday with friends and family.

The birthday celebrations in the Khan family come just days after Arbaaz tied the knot on Sunday with Sshura Khan.

Salman recently attended the intimate nikah ceremony of his brother-actor Arbaaz Khan and Sshura Khan at his sister Arpita Khan Sharma’s residence in Mumbai.

The complete Khan family including Salman, Sohail, Salim Khan, Salma Khan, Helen, Alvira Agnihotri, Atul Agnihotri along with their friends Raveena Tandon, Riddhima Pandit, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh attended the nikah ceremony of Arbaaz and Sshura.

Meanwhile, on the film front, Salman was recently seen in the action thriller film ‘Tiger 3’.

Helmed by Maneesh Sharma, the film also starred Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in the lead roles.

Talking exclusively about the massive box office collection of ‘Tiger 3’, Salman told ANI, “It was Diwali time and the World Cup was going on and everyone’s interest was in that but despite that the numbers that we have received are wonderful…we’re very grateful and happy about it.”

‘Tiger 3’ is the third installment of the Tiger franchise and a part of the YRF Spy Universe with the likes of ‘War’ and ‘Pathaan’.

However, Salman has still not announced his next project. (ANI)

Aircraft With 303 Indians Held In France Lands At Mumbai Airport

The A-340 aircraft, with 303 Indian passengers, that was grounded in France over suspected human trafficking, landed in Mumbai in the early hours of Tuesday.

The aircraft was headed to Nicaragua but was grounded “on a technical halt” last week by authorities at the Vatry airport in France.

The flight was headed from Dubai to Nicaragua.

Earlier on Monday, the Indian Embassy in France thanked the French government and the Vatry Airport authorities for their hospitality and quick resolution of the situation that allowed Indian passengers to return home.

The embassy also hailed the cooperation of French authorities for working closely with the embassy team and ensuring the safe return of citizens.

Taking to X, Indian Embassy in France said, “Thank French Gov and Vatry Airport for quick resolution of the situation enabling Indian passengers to return home & hospitality. Also for working closely with embassy team, present throughout at the site to ensure welfare and smooth & safe return. Thank agencies in India, too.”

The Indian Embassy in France also thanked French authorities for working through the long holiday weekend.

“Continue to work with French Gov for the welfare of the Indians currently at the Varty airport, 150 km East of Paris, & for early resolution of the situation. Embassy consular staff stationed there. Thank French authorities for working on this through the long holiday weekend,” the Indian Embassy in France said in the post. (ANI)

Father-son duo Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan on Thursday night attended the star-studded birthday bash of producer Anand Pandit in Mumbai.

Both the actors were seen twinning in all-black suits at the bash.

Veteran Actor Tanuja Hospitalised In Mumbai

Veteran actor Tanuja has been hospitalised in Mumbai and is under observation in the ICU.

As per a source close to the actor, Tanuja was admitted to Mumbai’s Criticare Hospital in Juhu last night (Sunday) after having difficulty breathing. She is in the ICU under the supervision of doctors and is doing well.

Reportedly, she will be discharged from the hospital in the evening today.

Tanuja Samarth made her acting debut at the age of 16 and won everyone’s hearts with her acts in Bollywood. Her debut movie, ‘Chhabili’, was released when she was 16 years old. ‘Memdidi’ followed in 1962, and then she starred in numerous films. Tanuja met her husband, Shomu Mukherjee on the sets of ‘Ek Baar Muskura Do’, and got married to him in the year 1973. The couple shares two daughters Kajol and Tanishaa. (ANI)

Israel Bans Lashkar-e-Taiba

Amid the 15th year of commemoration of the Mumbai terror attacks, Israel has announced to ban the terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba to symbolise the occasion and called it a ‘deadly’ and ‘reprehensible’ terror organisation on Tuesday.

The action has been taken without any request by the government of India. The state of Israel has formally completed all necessary procedures and satisfied all required checks and regulations as a result of introducing Lashkar-e-Taiba into the Israeli list of illegal terror organisations, the Israel Embassy in India said in an official press statement.

Highlighting that Israel only lists terror organisations that are actively operating against it form within or around its borders, or in a similar manner to India – those globally recognised by UNSC or the US state department, said, “Israel ministers of Defence and Foreign Affairs have jointly worked in last few months towards an expedited and extraordinary listing of the Lashkar -e- Taiba organization on this date, to highlight the importance of a Unified Global Front in combating terrorism.”

The release affirmed that the terror organisation is responsible for murder of hundreds of indian civilians as well as others.

It noted, “Lashkar -e- Taiba is a deadly and reprehensible terror organization, responsible for the murder of hundreds of Indian civilians as well as others. Its heinous actions on November 26, 2008 still reverberate in force, through all peace seeking nations and societies.”

“The state of Israel offers its sincere condolences to all victims of terrorism and to the survivors and bereaved families of the Mumbai attacks, including those in Israel. We stand with you united in the hope for a better peaceful future,” It added.

Earlier in 2008, multiple terror attacks occurred in Mumbai.

The attacks were carried out by 10 gunmen who were connected to Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based terrorist organization. Armed with automatic weapons and hand grenades, the terrorists targeted civilians at numerous sites in the southern part of Mumbai, including the Chhatrapati Shivaji railway station, the popular Leopold Cafe, two hospitals, and a theatre.

While most of the attacks ended within a few hours after they began at around 9:30 pm on November 26, the terror continued to unfold at three locations where hostages were taken–the Nariman House, and the luxury hotels Oberoi Trident and Taj Mahal Palace & Tower. (ANI)

Sidharth, Kiara Arrive in Delhi to Celebrate Diwali

This will be the first Diwali after marriage for actors Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, and the couple has arrived in Delhi to celebrate the festival with their family.

Kiara along with Sidharth and her parents was spotted exiting Delhi airport earlier on Saturday. They were also clicked by Mumbai-based paps before their boarded flight.

They all were all smiles as they were clicked by paps today. Kiara looked elegant in a pink pastel suit. On the other hand, her hubby Sidharth exuded cool vibes in a check shirt that he paired with a white T-shirt and blue cargo pants.

Fans are eagerly excited to see Kiara celebrating Diwali at her “sasural” in Delhi.

Sidharth and Kiara tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on February 7, 2023, at Suryagarh Palace in Rajasthan. The two fell in love with each other during the shoot of their film ‘Shershaah’.In 2022, Sidharth and Kiara appeared on different episodes of Koffee with Karan Season 7, where Karan Johar got them talking about their relationship for the first time.

While Kiara confirmed that they are “more than friends”, Sidharth said, “I am manifesting a brighter and happier future. If it was her, it would be great.”

All-Party Meet on Maratha Reservation Underway In Mumbai

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde chaired an all-party meeting on the Maratha reservation here on Wednesday.

State Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo, Sharad Pawar, former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, ministers Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Chandrakantdada Patil, Chhagan Bhujbal, Dilip Valse Patil, Girish Mahajan, Dadaji Bhuse are present at the meeting at Sahyadri Guest House.

Apart from them, Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Ambadas Danve, Leader of Opposition in Assembly Vijay Wadettiwar and several leaders from their respective parties attended the all-party meeting.

Earlier on Tuesday, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut alleged that his party MPs and MLAs were not sent an invitation to the all-party meeting.

The Shiv Sena (UBT) leader said that while a party with zero lawmakers were invited to the meeting, his party which has 16 MLAs and 6 MPs was not invited.

Meanwhile, the quota activist Manoj Jarange has been sitting on an indefinite fast for over a week. On Tuesday the Maratha reservation activist had decided to start drinking water after CM Eknath Shinde assured him of a solution.

Jarange-Patil however continues his agitation refusing to eat solid food. Patil says he will continue to drink water for two more days but would resume his complete hunger strike if the state government fails to place Marathas under the OBC category by giving them Kunbi caste certificates.

The activist also demanded that the government convene a special session to discuss the Maratha reservation demand.

Earlier on Tuesday, the state government accepted the first report presented by the Justice Shinde committee and issued a Government Resolution (GR), to decide the procedure for granting Kunbi caste certificates to the Maratha in the Marathwada region.

The process of issuance of Kunbi certificates has begun. The Kunbi community is eligible for reservation in the OBC category.

The GR (Government Resolution) noted “The available documents from Marathwada and other regions concerning the Maratha-Kunbi and Kunbi-Maratha caste certificates, the (retired) justice Sandeep Shinde Committee’s first report has been approved by the State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today.”

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reiterated that the state government is committed to provide Maratha reservation which will pass legal scrutiny.

According to the Shinde Committee report, approximately till October 30, 1,74,45,432 records have been checked and from them, 13,498 records of Kunbi caste have been found as of now.

“Also, 460 evidence presented by the citizens in the review meeting in Marathwada were presented to the committee. During the investigation, most of the records in the old archives are in Modi script or Urdu language. The first report of Justice Sandeep Shinde (Retd) committee has been accepted. After this report the Kunbi caste certificate will be given to Marathas”,” it added.

The Shinde committee reviewed the district-wise records in connection to the Maratha reservation. The committee directed the concerned 8 District Collectors to prepare a single sample for all the districts of Marathwada and inspect the records to submit a report to the government regarding the checked records. Expressing her excitement, Neha shared, “I am thrilled to be part of this wonderful project that not only marks my debut in the OTT series space.”

While sharing details about her upcoming web series, she added, “It’s a fun concept and I can’t wait to explore a whole new gamut of quirks that the project and script tied in with it”.

The show, which focuses on family-centric humour, will be filmed in Delhi and Mumbai. It is being helmed by a debutant director and will go on floors in late October. The show depicts contemporary human relationships from the viewpoint of a nuclear family.

Mumbai’s famous Lalbaugcha Raja’s first look was unveiled on Friday evening, days ahead of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Taking to X and other official social media handles, the official account of Lalbaugcha Raja shared a few images of Lord Ganesha’s idol.

The history of the Lalbaugcha Raja has been quite famous as it is the popular Ganesh Idol of Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, located at Putlabai Chawl, a worship place founded in 1934.

The Lalbaugcha Raja Ganapati idol has been taken care of by the Kambli family for over eight decades.

Ganesh Chaturthi, a ten-day festival that starts on the fourth day of the Hindu lunisolar calendar month ‘Bhadrapada’, will start on September 19 this year. This auspicious ten-day festival starts with ‘Chaturthi’  and ends on ‘Anantha Chaturdashi’.

The festive period is also known as ‘Vinayak Chaturthi’ or ‘Vinayak Chavithi’. The festival celebrates Ganesha as the ‘God of New Beginnings’ and the ‘Remover of Obstacles’ as well as the god of wisdom and intelligence.

It is celebrated with much fanfare in Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra with lakhs of devotees converging into mandals to seek blessing from Lord Ganesh.

Multiple Flights Diverted From Mumbai After Aircraft Skids Off

Multiple flights were diverted on Thursday after a VSR Ventures Learjet 45 aircraft VT-DBL on a flight from Visakhapatnam to Mumbai was involved in runway excursion (veer off) while landing on runway 27 at Mumbai airport leading to a temporary closure of runway, an official statement said.

According to officials, Two Vistara and one Akasa Airlines flight were diverted towards Bangalore airport. An Air India flight coming from Dubai was diverted towards Ahmedabad. Also a Vistara flight from Dehradun to Mumbai (DED-BOM) has been diverted to Goa Airport.  

A total of 5 aircrafts have landed at Surat airport and two flights are still hovering in the airspace. 

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) Spokesperson confirmed that it was not a crash and a aircraft had veered off the runway at Mumbai airport.

DGCA said that there were 6 passengers and 2 crew members on board however no casualties have been reported. 

According to officials, three people were injured and taken to hospital. (ANI)
