Nushrratt Battles For Survival In ‘Akelli’

After the teaser, the makers of ‘Akelli’ starring Nushrratt Bharuccha on Friday launched the trailer of the film.

Taking to Instagram, Nushrratt treated fans with a trailer video.

Sharing the video, “AKELLI – An Ordinary Girl’s Battle For Survival. #AkelliTrailer, Out Now. Coming only in cinemas on 18th August….#Akelli.

The film is about an Indian girl who is stranded alone in war-torn Iraq and how she struggles for survival against all odds.

The trailer showcased Nushrratt’s character attempting to flee but is besieged by armed men. It then follows her life, showing how she left Mosul for a career, how she had been working and settling down in a whole new nation until a war breaks out and she is taken alongside other women.

‘Akelli’ is helmed by Pranay Meshram, who has worked as an associate director for various projects and will debutant as a director with this film.

The film is produced by Dashami Studioz’ Nitin Vaidya, Ninad Vaidya, Aparna Padgaonkar along with Vicky Sidana & Shashant Shah. Actors Tsahi Halevi and Amir Boutrous, who are known for their performances in the popular Israeli series ‘Fauda’, are all set to make their Bollywood debut with the film.

Earlier, talking about her experience of shooting for Akelli, Nushrratt said in a statement, “Akelli has been an overwhelming experience altogether and far from any role I have played till now. It was emotionally draining for me to portray a character like this, and it makes you think of all the challenges that someone so young must have to go through to provide for their loved ones. I am hoping the audience will be able to connect with my character’s journey and will hopefully like it.”

Recently, the makers unveiled an intriguing teaser.

Taking to Instagram, Dashami Production treated fans with the teaser video along with a caption, “Survival is her battle. She is coming this August 18… #Akelli.”

The first glimpse of the film gives us an insight into the thrilling ride the audience will experience on its release. Starring Nushrratt as the main lead, Akelli is a soul-stirring tale of a girl who falls into the trap of a dangerous world, owing to her circumstances and her eventual struggle to escape.

Nushrratt Enjoys Morning With Beautiful View

Actor Nushrratt Bharuccha who is busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Chhatrapati’ on Thursday gave a glimpse of how she is enjoying her morning with a beautiful view.

Nushrratt currently in Dehradun took to Instagram and treated fans with a new video flaunting her no-makeup look and cute smile.
In the video, the actor can be seen in her blue printed night suit while she enjoys the fresh air and beautiful scenery from her hotel room’s balcony.

Sharing the video, she wrote, “Good morning.”

She also shared a mirror selfie of herself in a green oversized shirt, black pants and white shoes.

Talking about her film, which is all set to release on May 12, 2023.

‘Chatrapathi’ tells the story of a protagonist who rose against oppression to become a saviour of immigrants that suffered massive exploitation.

The Hindi remake is helmed by V.V. Vinayak.

‘Chatrapathi’ marks the Bollywood debut of Telugu actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas, who is known for his performances in films like ‘Sita’, ‘Alludu Adhurs’, ‘Kavacham’ and many more.

It also stars Bhagyashree, Sharad Kelkar, Sahil Vaid, Amit Nair, Rajendra Gupta, and Shivam Patil, among others.

Apart from this, Nushrratt recently wrapped the shooting of ‘Chhorii 2’.

Helmed by Vishal Furia ‘Chhorii’ streamed exclusively on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video and received positive responses from the audience.

Apart from Nushrratt, ‘Chhorii 2’ also stars Soha Ali Khan in the lead role.

Nushrratt, who will return to play the role of the protagonist, Sakshi, earlier said, “I am over the moon with the amazing reactions and success that Chhorii has met with! Chhorii was a significant departure from the work I had previously been a part of and to see the risk being rewarded is such a great feeling. Chhorii is a passion project for all of us and I cannot wait to engage with Vishal and the team as we take the story forward with Chhorii 2.” (ANI)

Nushrratt Shares Pics From Sets Of ‘Chhori 2’

Bollywood actor Nushrratt Bharuccha shared a picture from the sets of ‘Chhori 2’ as she began the shooting of her upcoming horror film.

Taking to Instagram Story, she posted a snap where she got cuts and bruises on the hand.
She wrote, “And the cuts and bruises have begun!! #Chhorii2.”

‘Chhori’ director Vishal Furia reposted her Instagram story and praised her. He wrote, “Wounds of Bravery for this bigger adventure. This is why we love you” to which Nushrratt replied, “Awwww sir.”

Recently, Nushrratt began the shooting of her upcoming horror film ‘Chhorii 2’ and Soha Ali Khan joined the star cast of the film.

Helmed by Vishal Furia ‘Chhorii’ streamed exclusively on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video and received positive responses from the audience.

Last year in December, the makers announced the sequel, and the official release date of the film is still awaited.

Meanwhile, Nushrratt will also be seen in an upcoming family entertainer film ‘Selfie’ along with Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, and Diana Penty.

Apart from that, she also has a drama thriller ‘Akelli’ in her kitty. (ANI)
