Vested Interests Are Misleading Punjab Farmers

‘Vested Interests From India And Abroad Misleading Punjab Farmers’

Ashok Baliyan, a farmer from Muzaffarnagar in western UP, says the ongoing farmers’ protest is a ploy to discredit the current government ahead of Lok Sabha elections. His views:

This alleged Farmers’ protest is sponsored by the opposition parties and some international lobbies with the sole motive of disturbing the law and order just before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the country. This protest also seeks to create a rift between the two main farmers’ community of the western UP, Haryana and Punjab – the Jats and the Sikhs.

There are numerous videos floating on the social media exposing the real motive of this anti national gang. For example, there is a video of an alleged farmers’ leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal where he is seen expressing concerns over the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi especially after the consecration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya which, according to him, needs to be brought down or maligned (before the elections). It is ridiculous as to how the popularity of the PM is a problem or threat to the farmers. This exposes the real motive of the protest is not for the benefit of farming community but to the detriment of the Prime Minister. These alleged farmers, by hook or crook, are desperate to create disturbance before the elections.

Take a look at the equipment and machinery that are being carried by them (JCBs, Pokland excavators, modified tractors etc) to fight off the security forces and barge into New Delhi. Are they planning a protest or a revolt in the country? The most important question is: why only the farmers of Punjab and a bunch from Haryana are the ones feel exploited and unhappy with the policies of the government? In the present days of social media, nothing goes unnoticed and the people of India are informed enough to know the exact motive of these agitators and the people behind them.

This clearly indicates that efforts are being made to create a feeling of separatism among the Sikhs in the name of the farmers’ movement and the separatists and extremists who are provoking the Sikhs in the name of the farmers’ movement should be exposed and crushed without mercy.

Sikh Gurus sacrificed their life for the sake of Dharma. It is surprising that a bunch of separatists and extremists describe themselves as separate from the Sanatan Dharma, playing as puppets in the hands of vested interest sitting outside the country. Fed with emotions, they forget that Sikh community has paid the highest price for defeating separatist movements in the country.

The government is making all possible efforts to reach out to the agitators for a cordial agreement and has held various rounds of meetings. But, as it is evident, their real masters are not interested in an agreement; they keep springing new and impractical demands after every meeting. The Government needs to be firm in dealing with the agitators to send a clear message that any attempt to disturb the peace or tarnish the image of the real farmers will not go unpunished.
