Felt Need To Reinvent Myself After Hitting 60: Anupam On Fitness Regime

Veteran actor Anupam Kher is one fit actor! Even though he’s in his 60s, he’s regular at the gym, and going by his social media posts, it looks like he doesn’t ever miss his workout!

The Padma Bhushan awardee, known for “reinventing” himself on screen, is also aiming to “reinvent” his physique.
In a tete-a-tete with ANI during the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI), the actor got candid about his fitness journey and motivation.

He said, “Seven years ago when I turned 60, I felt I should reinvent myself. I began by transforming myself physically, so people take my intentions to reinvent myself seriously. Hence, I started to exercise, hit the gym, do yoga and run.”

“I feel glad when ANI asks me about my fitness other than my films,” he added.

From sleeping on railway platforms during his struggling days to starring in some of the most successful Hindi films of all time like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!’ and ‘Ram Lakhan’, the two-time National Awardee has certainly made a mark in the Hindi film industry.

The actor also got candid about the importance of “truth” in his work.

With reference to his recent hit ‘The Kashmir Files’, the ‘Saaransh’ actor said that “the audience recognizes the truth element in it (the film)….it should have happened many years back. It has taken 32 years to reach the audience and I am full of gratitude that people have understood the tragedy and truth behind it. It has done well commercially and reached from the maker’s heart to the viewers’ hearts”.

“For me, it was not just a film, but a truth which we had to carry out to the world and I am very thankful to IFFI for giving a platform to the film,” he added.

When asked about his reactions to the success of his most recent film, ‘Uunchai’, Anupam’s face beamed with joy and he said, “I consider myself a fortunate person.”

“I don’t know what will happen next year, but this year, I am very proud that my films have done great at the box office, earning over 500 crores”, he added.

Lastly, the eight-time Filmfare Awardee said, “A man can do anything if he works hard and with honesty and good intent”.

Over his illustrious career spanning five long decades, Anupam has undoubtedly carved a niche for himself and set a benchmark for Indian cinema through his many beloved roles. (ANI)

Mission Mangal Actor Vikram Gokhale’s Health Critical

Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale has been in a hospital in Pune for some time now and as per the latest reports, his condition continues to remain critical.

ANI confirmed his health condition and as per the latest report, it is critical.
There are no details concerning his illness, and neither the family nor the hospital has released any statement yet.

The actor made his film debut at the age of 26 in 1971 in Amitabh Bachchan-starrer ‘Parwana’. Over a career spanning more than 40 years, Gokhale has appeared in various Marathi and Bollywood films, including ‘Agneepath,’ starring Amitabh Bachchan in 1990, and ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,’ with Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 1999.

In 2010, he received the National Award for Best Actor for his work in the Marathi film ‘Anumati’. With the Marathi film ‘Aaghaat’, he also made his directorial debut.

Other notable work of the actor includes ‘Mission Mangal’, ‘Hichki’, ‘Aiyaari’, ‘Bang Bang!’, ‘De Dana Dan’, and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’.

He was last seen in ‘Nikamma’ alongside Shilpa Shetty and Abhimanyu Dassani. The film hit the theatres in June this year. (ANI)

“Colossal loss,” Modi Condoles Demise Of Veteran Actor Ghattamaneni Krishna

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed grief over the death of the renowned veteran actor Ghattamaneni Krishna the Andhra’s ‘James Bond’ who has a huge fan following in Tollywood and extended condolences to the late actor’s aggrieved family.

“Krishna Garu was a legendary superstar, who won the hearts of people through his versatile acting and lively personality. His demise is a colossal loss to the world of cinema and entertainment,” PM Modi said in a tweet.
Mahesh Babu’s father and veteran actor Ghattamaneni Krishna passed away in Hyderabad in the early hours of Tuesday.

The doctors confirmed that actor Krishna was brought to Continental Hospital in Hyderabad on Monday due to health issues.

PM further extended condolences to the late actor’s son Mahesh Babu and his whole family.

“In this sad hour, my thoughts are with @urstrulyMahesh and his entire family. Om Shanti,” Modi further said.

Earlier, the doctor said Ghattamaneni Krishna was brought into the emergency department of Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad at 01.15 am morning (14-11-2022) in cardiac arrest.

Mahesh Babu’s father Krishna, whose full name is Ghattamnaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, underwent treatment at Continental Hospital in Hyderabad. The doctors immediately performed a CPR, resuscitated him within 20 minutes, and shifted him to the ICU for treatment and observation. As per the doctor’s Health Bulletin On Monday evening G.Krishna’s health condition was critical and has been put on a ventilator.

After learning about the demise, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan expressed grief over the demise of Superstar Ghattamaneni.

Governor Harichandan said, “Krishna, who acted in over 350 films in a film career spanning over five decades, is a household name in both the Telugu States, and he was honoured with Padma Bhushan for his contribution to the Indian cinema. The Governor has said that Sri Krishna immortalized the role of Alluri Sitarama Raju, in the film produced and acted by him and has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.”

Krishna, the Andhra James Bond has a large following in his long innings in Tollywood.

The actor has immortalized the role of Alluri Seetarama Raju in the film and has many hits in his illustrious career, the Chief Minister said and conveyed his condolences to his actor son Mahesh Babu and other bereaved family members. (ANI)
