Rekha Looks Like A Vision In White

Evergreen actress Rekha is the ultimate fashion trendsetter in Bollywood. Be it her wardrobe in the films or her red-carpet appearances, she has always managed to give us iconic fashion goals.

And now guess what? With her impeccable sense of style, Rekha has found a fan in Maria Grazia Chiuri, who is Christian Dior’s creative director.

The ‘Khubsoorat’ star recently met Maria ahead of Dior’s pre-fall 2023 fashion show in Mumbai.

Taking to Instagram, Maria dropped a stunning picture with Rekha.

The image shows Rekha exuding elegance in a white saree that she paired with a matching blouse. Staying true to her style, she opted for bold red lipstick and carried a golden potli. She accessorized the ensemble with a heavy pair of traditional golden earrings and bangles.

Rekha’s elegant look has left Maria in awe.

“I was so touched to meet the iconic Rekha gi last night for the first time. India’s most iconic woman and incredible actress. I am so grateful you have joined us last night, it was a true honor,” Maria said in the caption.

Dior also shared the same picture with the caption, saying, “The House has long held Indian culture in high esteem, and here the legendary actress Rekha is accompanied by @MariaGraziaChiuri ahead of the Dior Fall 23 show taking place on Thursday, March 30 at 8.30 pm IST, live from the symbolic setting of the Gateway of India, Mumbai.”

Dior’s Mumbai show, which is being held in collaboration with the Chanakya School of Craft by label JADE, is inspired by India and will exhibit several pieces embroidered by talented Indian artisans on Thursday.

Sonam Kapoor is among the A-list celebrities who have been invited to the Dior Fall 2023 show in Mumbai tonight. She shared a picture of the invite on her Instagram stories, and the package included a printed fan, a Lady Dior handbag, and a scarf, among other items. “So happy @dior so happy the house is showcasing the collection in India Mumbai… cannot wait to see all that is done! Also, thank you for the wonderful goodies,” wrote Sonam.

Anushka Sharma is also expected to attend the fashion gala. (ANI)

When Rekha Saw Jaya Crying Over Her Romantic Scenes With Amitabh

Even though it has been several decades since rumors of the love triangle between Rekha-Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan were rampant, the subject of their romance still has a certain spark.

While Amitabh and Jaya have remained tight-lipped about this alleged affair over the years, this has not been the case with Rekha, who never shied away from talking about it.

Back in 1978, during an interview with Stardust, Rekha spoke about how she saw Jaya getting hurt and being emotional while watching intimate scenes between her and Amitabh in their film ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’.

“Once, I was looking at the whole (Bachchan) family through the projection room when they came to see the trial show of ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’. Jaya was sitting in the front row and he (Amitabh) and his parents were in the row behind her. They couldn’t see her as clearly as I could. And during our love scenes, I could see tears pouring down her face,” she said.

Rekha added, “A week later, everybody in the industry was telling me that he has made it clear to his producers that he was not going to work with me.”

Rumors at the time suggested that after reports about Amitabh and Rekha’s alleged affair had surfaced, these caused a rift between Jaya and Rekha though they had been friends earlier.

‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’, released in 1978, had been the last film starring Amitabh and Rekha until Yash Chopra got them and Jaya to star in his 1981 film ‘Silsila’. (ANI)

On the occasion of veteran Bollywood actor Rekha’s 68th birthday, celebrities took to their social media handles and sent warm birthday wishes to the ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’ actor.

Taking to Instagram, actor Kangana Ranaut shared a video on her story which she captioned, “Wishing my favorite Rekha Ji a very happy birthday.”

Actor Ananya Panday shared a collage picture on her story and wrote, ” Then and now- forever a fan girl happy birthday to the ULTIMATE queen Rekha Ji.”

Actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra shared three pictures on her story and wrote, ” Happy Birthday wishing a lifetime of happiness, love, and blessings to this amazing soul who radiates only love and positivity. More power and tons of love to you. Rekha Ma.”

Actor Rakul Preet Singh shared a picture and wrote, ” Happy Birthday.”

Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Rekha is known for her iconic portrayals in cinemas. She began her acting career at the age of 14 with the film ‘Anjana Safar’ in the year 1969. Post that, Rekha steadily climbed her way to the top. She is presently regarded as one of the most attractive and captivating actors in Indian cinema.

She has worked in iconic Bollywood films like ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’, ‘Umraao Jaan’, ‘Khubsoorat’ ‘Silsila’, ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’ and many more.

She was last seen on the big screen in a special appearance role in Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, and Bobby Deol’s film ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir se’ in the year 2018. (ANI)
