Anil Shares How Insecure He Was With Jackie Shroff’s Success

While… The “N” bomb was dropped again in the latest episode of “Koffee With Karan.” The host sparked the nepotism debate-outsider vs star kid with Anil Kapoor and Varun Dhawan. Anil revealed that he was insecure about Jackie Shroff’s success.

During the almost hour-long show, conversations among the guests and the host swung from topics of infidelity, and role-playing to nepotism, and much more.
Anil Kapoor revealed that he was insecure about Jackie’s success after he bagged the big project under Subhash Ghai’s banner.

When Karan Johar asked the ‘Mr. India’s actor, about his view on Nepotism.

Anil said, “I just don’t take it seriously. I feel you just keep doing your work and your work speaks. This is a kind of question, especially if you are an actor, you can’t pass on that legacy to your brother or son. You either have it or you don’t. I remember when I started, there was Sunny (Deol), Sanju (Sanjay Dutt).”

Karan Johar interrupted him and brought Jackie’s (Jackie Shroff) name. To which Anil responded, he was an outsider but he got his big break with a Subhash Ghai film and he became an A-lister just with the announcement.

He said, at that time, he was doing big roles and South Indian films and I did feel, you know kind of not feeling good about it. Yaar why. The day I signed a Yash Chopra film, I felt like now I am fine.”

Karan asked, “Did you feel insure about Jackie’s success at that time.”

Anil admitted that by saying, yeah he became a huge success. And I remember so well and he was such a sweet guy. When we were shooting, whenever he used to get the autograph book, he always passed it to me to sign first.

However, these discussions might sound like Koffee staples to the regular audience of the show however, in an interesting turn of events, there was a new segment for which Anil and Varun played marriage gurus and shared advice with callers.

The first person on the call asked for advice from Anil regarding how to spice up his sex life, to which Varun recommended trying ashwagandha and practicing making love at least three times a week.

Another caller rang in to ask Varun for advice about how to get intimate with his wife while living in a small house with family members. To this, Varun said, “I think when you are in your room, play some romantic music and it will also help with the mood.”

This was followed by the rapid-fire round where the ‘Badlapur’ actor kept taking Arjun Kapoor’s name as his answer for a number of questions.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Anil will be next seen in an aerial action thriller film ‘Fighter’ alongside Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the film’s official release date is still awaited.

Varun, on the other hand, will next be seen in ‘Bawaal’ opposite Janhvi Kapoor. He also has ‘Bhediya’ opposite Kriti Sanon in the offing. (ANI)

Oil Exports To India

Trend Of Oil Exports To India Will Continue: Russia

The trend of crude oil supply to India will continue, and bilateral trade will strike new records, said Russian Ambassador to India, Denis Alipov, in an interview with ANI.
“India being a consumer, quite naturally is looking for the cheapest offers and Russia being deprived of its traditional markets in Europe, for example, is looking for new markets, so this meeting between best available options and best available offers is driving the trade and our relationship in the energy sector, it is natural we think this trend will continue in a structured manner,” the Russian envoy said.

“No one knows the situation how energy markets look like by the end of the year, we are looking to further expanding our relationship in this area at promoting the ongoing dialogue and cooperation based on long-term arrangements and agreements,” he added.

According to an estimate, there is a steep jump in Russian oil export to India, as it has increased ten times this year and Russian crude oil is now fulfilling almost ten percent of India’s imported oil consumption.

“The volumes (of trade have reached USD 11.5 billion already in half of the year. We will make and strike possibly a new record in our trade by the year, as we did in the previous one when our trade stood at USD 13.6 billion,” the Ambassador said.

The Russian envoy said that India and Russia are looking to further expanding the relationship in the energy sector as the situation in the future is unpredictable.

Europe and US had expressed reservations about the quantum jump in Russian exports to Asian giants India and China.

The envoy also spoke about the position taken by India on oil imports

He lauded the recent remarks made by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and slammed the West for practicing double standards. “I believe that these are the same double standards, hypocrisy, and geopolitics.”

” Jaishankar was very clear to articulate the imperative to satisfy the needs of the Indian people, essentially we can put it like that West continues to plausibly ignore India’s legitimate national interest just like it did so most of the time at the time of colonialism,” he said.

Already, several sanctions and restrictions have been imposed on Russian oil exports, which Moscow has termed illegitimate and against the practices of international law, it has warned to stop the supply of gas to European countries.

The Russian envoy termed the G7’s plan to put a cap on the rates of Russian oil prices as narrow-minded and unrealistic, which according to him will definitely affect the global supply chains.

“I believe that this ill-intended initiative to put a cap on the price of Russian oil by administrative measures is both narrow-minded and unrealistic and it will definitely affect the global supply chains consequently will increase the energy rates, galloping projection if this whim is implemented. Russia will simply stop selling oil to those countries which decide to join this initiative as simple as that we will stop the supply of gas. It affects Russia substantially but ultimately it will be Europe who will feel the pain,” the Russian Ambassador said.

Speaking on the war in Ukraine, the Russian envoy said India is aware of the complexity and origin of the conflict.

He said, “We appreciate India’s approach has been very consistent, very well balanced, India is well aware of the origin of the crisis, we don’t have anything against the Ukrainian people we are brothers with Ukrainian people, but the current regime in Kyiv has become a very explicit anti-Russia project, President Zelenskyy let down the Russian-speaking population in the Donbas region labeling the people there as species and launching a military campaign against them, it has now effectively become a western proxy war against Russia and NATO proxy war against Russia.”

We, on our part, exercised a long-term approach with our neighborhood, which we wanted to remain peaceful, stable, and free of threats, we have been accused of the unjustified, unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, an argument which we will not accept. “We regard it as wrong on both accounts, so India is well aware of the complexity of Ukrainian conflict and acts in its own national interest,” he said. In another step to maintain peace as well as law and order, a tripartite peace agreement is expected to be signed with tribal militant groups in Assam in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah here in the national capital later on Thursday.

Local villagers and the girl’s family lodged a protest as they marched and blocked the road demanding justice for the victims.

The family of the deceased had accused three men of rape and murder and staged a demonstration at the Nighasan crossing, a few kilometers from the village.

Lakhimpur Kheri superintendent of police (SP) Sanjeev Suman, along with the police force, rushed to the protest site and assured villagers that strict action will be taken against the accused.
