Actor Sanjay Kapoor’s Wife Says She Knows He Cheated On Her

Actor Sanjay Kapoor’s wife Maheep Kapoor, in the show ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’ has revealed that she was on the verge of leaving Sanjay because he cheated on her, early in their marriage.

Maheep, while speaking to Seema Sajdeh on the show, recalled an incident when her eldest daughter Shanaya Kapoor was very young, Sanjay cheated on her.

She said, “Now you know it, Seema. Initially in my marriage, there was an indiscretion that Sanjay had or whatever. I walked out with Shanaya. I stood up for myself but then, I had a newborn baby. Again, as a woman and as a mother, the first priority is my child.

“I owed my daughter this amazing father, which he is. I owed it to myself. And if I look back and if I broke this s**t up, I would have regretted it all my life. Because when my kids walk into my home, my husband walks into my home, this is their sanctuary. They need to feel peace. And I feel Sanjay gives that to me also.”

Seema then asked her if she had forgiven Sanjay, Maheep replied saying, “For what happened 100 years ago, of course. And I want to tell you that for me, I am grateful that we moved on… Marriage is shades of grey. I know that for him, marriage is life-long.”

Later, while speaking to the cameras, she said, “I wanted my marriage to work. At any cost. And I did it selfishly for me and for my child. It was not a compromise at all. It was for me.”

She continued, “Forgiveness? We have both forgiven each other at many stages in our lives. I have been a royal fking b*h. He had wanted to stab me many times. We have grown through this journey and we’ve come out stronger.”

Talking about the show, apart from Maheep, it revolves around Chunkey Pandey’s wife Bhavna Pandey, actor Samir Soni’s wife Neelam Kothari and Sohail Khan’s ex-wife Seema Kiran Sajdeh.

What can I say?: Nitish On Raids On Tejashwi

Oppn Will Unite For 2024 Elections, Affirms Nitish

A day after five Janata Dal (United) MLAs from Manipur merged with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday wondered if it was “constitutional” and affirmed that the opposition will unite for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

“When we parted ways from NDA, all our six Manipur MLAs came and met us. They assured us that they were with JDU. We need to think about what is going on. They are breaking away the MLAs from the parties, is it constitutional?,” said CM Nitish Kumar.
“Opposition will unify for 2024 elections,” Kumar further added.

On Friday, five Janata Dal (United) MLAs merged with BJP giving a big jolt to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his party.

As per a statement issued by the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, the Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly was pleased to accept the merger of five JD(U) MLAs with the BJP under the tenth schedule of the Constitution.

These names included Kh. Joykishan Singh, Ngursanglur Sanate, Md. Achab Uddin, Thangjam Arunkumar and L.M. Khaute.

The Bharatiya Janata Party secured a majority of 32 seats in the 60-member state Assembly in the recently held Assembly elections, results of which were declared on March 10.

Earlier, a bulk of the JDU MLAs joined the BJP in Arunachal Pradesh giving a nightmare to Nitish Kumar’s party.

Back on 25 August, the lone JDU MLA from Arunachal Pradesh, Techi Kaso, also joined the BJP in the presence of national president JP Nadda and Arunachal CM Pema Khandu, with which the BJP now has 49 out of 60 Assembly seats (MLA).

Out of 9 Corporators of JDU, 8 have joined BJP; now the total number of BJP corporators is 18 out of 20.

Further, out of 18 Zilla Parishad members (ZPM) of JDU, 17 have joined BJP. Now out of 241 members, BJP has 206 Zilla Parishad members.

In addition, out of 119 Gram Panchayat Members (GPM) of JDU, more than 100 joined BJP. With this, BJP now has around 6530 out of 8332.

The latest political developments came weeks after CM Nitish Kumar dumped BJP and joined hands with Tejashwi Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal, the Congress and other parties to form a ‘mahagathbandhan’ and govern Bihar.

Those aware of the development say that the BJP has decided to hit back at the JDU after what transpired in Bihar recently. In 2020, the BJP-JD(U) fought election in an alliance and went on to form the government with Nitish Kumar being given the Chief Minister’s post.

In less than two years’ time, Nitish Kumar flipped his choices and in a surprise move went on to stitch an alliance with RJD and Congress to form a ‘Grand Alliance’ government in Bihar. (ANI)

Seema Sajdeh Reveals Why She Divorced Sohail

Seema Sajdeh is currently busy basking in the love and appreciation she got for her appearance in ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’.

Netizens have showered Seema with love for her fun-loving nature and attitude in the show.
While Seema did take part in a lot of fun, adventure, and gossip, she also spoke about her personal life.

At the beginning of the show, Seema removed the nameplate outside her house and changed it from ‘Khan’ to her and her kids’ first names – Seema, Nirvan and Yohan. The action was to make it evident that she has decided to divorce Sohail Khan.

Seema’s eldest son, Nirvan, while conversing with her, expressed his disappointment with the change of nameplate. He asked her why she changed the nameplate from ‘Khan’ to their first names, to which she replied saying that now that they are going their own way, she thinks it’s okay for everyone to use just their first names and not just dwell on what surname they will be using.

In one of the episodes, Sanjay Kapoor’s wife Maheep Kapoor, who is very close friends with Seema, tried to fix her up with the famous match-maker and star of the Netflix series ‘Indian Matchmaking’ Seema Taparia.

When Seema Taparia visits Seema Sajdeh, she asked her the reason for her divorce and she replied saying that she and Sohail Khan had been separated for almost 5 years and the issue that arose between them both was that they thought differently and had a few compatibility issues.

Seema Sajdeh and Sohail Khan tied the knot in 1998 and welcomed their first child, son Nirvan in 2000. In June 2011, the couple welcomed their second son Yohan via surrogacy. They filed for divorce earlier this year and after going ahead with the legal proceedings; Seema changed her Instagram name from ‘Seema Khan’ to ‘Seema Kiran Sajdeh’. (ANI)

Independent Journalists Explains NDTV Deal

Change In Ownership Hardly Impacts A Media Group’s Core Ethics

Arun Singh, a Lucknow-based independent journalist, transfer of partial holdings in NDTV poses no threat to the channel or its journalists if they act as professionals

The recent brouhaha over Gautam Adani making a hostile bid to take over NDTV and thereby undermining media freedom, appears a little overplayed. I would call it premature over-reaction. The matter is very simple: NDTV took a loan from the VCPL about a decade ago which it was not able to repay. Seeing some business advantage, the Adani group buys VCPL and gets its holding in NDTV as the new owner! That’s it!

Now if this takeover or the deal is being propagated as an attempt to stop the company and its journalists from carrying on with their ‘revolutionary’ journalism or to prevent them from criticizing the government, then it is laughable.

By and large, the media in the country can broadly be distinguished under two categories: First, those who sell themselves (nowadays termed as ‘Godi Media’) and those who sell news (the term for them is ‘anti-establishment media’). Most media houses are owned by private business groups or, in a few cases, by political parties. The top leadership frames a set of rules and the workforce, in this case journalists, follow these.

For any professional media group to prosper, it is necessary they present news and facts on the basis of the core principles of journalism. Else, they are likely to fall into one of the two categories mentioned above. To my mind, while it is unprofessional to present only the good works of the Government of the day to curry benefits, it is also questionable to report only the negatives of a ‘strong’ and democratically elected government. Your credentials will be in question if you follow a set, premeditated agenda in presentation of news.

A professional journalist will never compromise with ethics. And if a journalist is not comfortable with a group’s policy or structure, he or she has the option to look for work opportunities elsewhere. In any case, change of ownership has hardly ever changed a company’s policy dramatically. The clientele and viewership, as the market forces for corporate world, decide how a media group moves forward as a credible news supplier.

As far as this deal is concerned, it is not at all going to hamper anyone’s bread and butter or revolutionize journalism to the next level. I repeat, it is just another deal between two corporate houses and if one thinks (like it has been propagated on social media about freedom) that journalists will not be able to carry on with their distinct line of thought, one is fooling oneself.

Pilot Threatens To Crash Plane Into Walmart In Mississippi

A pilot has threatened to intentionally crash this plane into a local Walmart in Tupelo, Mississippi, the police on Saturday.

The Walmart in Tupelo was evacuated after the pilot of an aircraft threatened to crash into the store, the Tupelo Police Department said.
“On 09-03-2022 at approximately 05:00 am TPD was notified that a pilot of an airplane (possibly King Air type) was flying over Tupelo,” the police wrote on Facebook.

They said the pilot has made contact with E911 and is threatening to intentionally crash into Walmart on West Main.

“TPD has worked with Wal-Mart West and Dodges on West Main to evacuate the stores and disperse people as much as practical. TPD also has been able to begin talking with the pilot directly,” they added.

The Police said at this time the situation is ongoing with TPD and all Emergency Services in the area are on alert.

“Citizens are asked to avoid that area until an all clear is given. With the mobility of an airplane of that type the danger zone is much larger than even Tupelo,” the TPD said.

More information will be released when appropriate, police added. (ANI)

US Cong Members To Visit Flood-Hit Pak Tomorrow

Members of the United States Congress Sheila Jackson and Tom Suozzi have left for a two-day visit to the flood-affected Pakistan on Saturday, in a bid to show solidarity with the victims and the Pakistani government.

The US Congress members will arrive in the country on Sunday and will visit flood-hit areas in Sindh, during their stay in the country, reported Geo News.
Before departing for the country, Jackson stated in a press conference that they would visit flood-damaged areas and will take “all possible steps” to help the flood victims.

Taking to Twitter, the US lawmaker said, “The flooding devastation in Pakistan is catastrophic with over 30 million people impacted. It’s urgent that the United States offers to help with possible airlifts of food and necessities to isolated and starving people.”

“We can’t wait, more people will die. As chair of the Pakistan caucus, the Caucus will work with our colleagues to push for major continuing aid. Now is the time for relief,” Jackson added.

Meanwhile, the Commander of US Central Command General Michael Erik Kurilla expressed grief over the fatalities and the losses inflicted by the catastrophic floods.

General Michael talked to Pakistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa via telephone and offered condolences over the loss of lives in historic flash floods in the country, reported Geo News.

According to a press release issued by Centcom on September 2, “CENTCOM is sending an assessment team to Islamabad to determine what potential support the Department of Defence (DoD) can provide to USAID as part of the United States assistance to the flooding crisis in Pakistan.”

Notably, the United States on Tuesday announced an additional USD 30 million in life-saving humanitarian assistance to support people and communities affected by severe flooding in Pakistan.

The US embassy in Pakistan said this support will save lives and reduce suffering among the most vulnerable affected communities. According to the statement, the United States will continue to monitor the crisis in coordination with local partners and Pakistani authorities.

In addition to the USD 30 million in urgently needed humanitarian assistance, the United States also provided over USD 1.1 million in grants and project support earlier this month to ensure direct assistance reaches those communities most impacted and to help mitigate and prevent the effects of future floods.

According to satellite images from the European Space Agency (ESA), more than one-third of Pakistan is underwater amid its worst floods in history.

As deadly floodwaters threaten to create secondary disasters, food is in short supply after water covered millions of acres of crops and wiped out hundreds of thousands of livestock.

More than 1,100 people have died from the floods since mid-June, nearly 400 of them children, while millions have been displaced, according to Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

More than 33 million people have been affected, or about 15 per cent of the population, according to Pakistan’s climate change minister Sherry Rehman. More than 1 million homes have been damaged or destroyed, while at least 5,000 kilometres of roads have been damaged, according to the NDMA.

Floods have impacted 2 million acres of crops and killed more than 794,000 heads of livestock across Pakistan, according to a situation report from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

More than 800 health facilities have been damaged in the country, of which 180 are completely damaged, leaving millions of people lacking access to health care and medical treatment, as reported in many affected districts, according to WHO. (ANI)
