Dharmendra Celebrates Birthday; Cuts Giant Cake

The ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood, Dharmendra, turned 88 on Friday.

This year, the veteran star came out of his residence and celebrated his birthday with his fans and paparazzi stationed outside his home.

He was accompanied by his elder son and actor Sunny Deol.

Several pictures and videos of the ‘Sholay’ actor cutting a giant 7-tier cake in front of his fans went viral on social media.

The massive cake featured the actor’s photos and colourful, edible roses.

In the pictures and videos, he was seen donning a brown shirt paired with black pants. He accessorized his look with a black hat.

Dharmendra’s wife and actor-turned-politician Hema Malini on Friday penned an adorable birthday wish for her husband.

She shared a picture on Instagram and wrote, “Wishing my dearest life partner of many years, a very happy, healthy and joyful birthday. May you have all the love your heart can hold, all the happiness a day can bring, and all the blessings a life can unfold. I just want to say: I hope you can see how special you are to me. Happy birthday to my love!.”

Dharmendra is known for working in different genres including romance, action, and comedy. He has given several hits including ‘Ayee Milan Ki Bela’, ‘Phool Aur Patthar’, ‘Aaye Din Bahar Ke’, ‘Aankhen’, ‘Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke’, ‘Anupama’, among others. Recently, he also made headlines for his role in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.

He will be next seen in the upcoming untitled romantic drama film which also features Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles.

Apart from that, he also has director Sriram Raghavan’s next ‘Ekkis’ which also features Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. The film will release on January 10, 2025. (ANI)

Dharmendra Shares Photo With Alia

Veteran actor Dharmendra shared a photo with Alia Bhatt from the sets of ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ on Friday.

Taking to Instagram, he dropped a picture and wrote, “Friends, Loving Aliaa is showing me glimpses of my romantic past. Rocky aur Rani ki prem kahani. “

Both can be seen smiling while looking at something on a tab. Alia wore a green suit. Dharmendra, on the other hand, can be seen in a brown sweater.

Helmed by Karan Johar, the film will hit the theatres on July 28.

Apart from Dharmendra and Alia, the film also stars actors Ranveer, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi.

Recently, sharing the teaser’s link, Karan wrote, “Presenting to you the first glimpse of a piece of my heart – #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani! I’m thrilled and super excited to finally let it unfurl for you all to see…watch…and give love!!!

TEASER OUT NOW.”

Earlier on Karan’s 51st birthday, the makers unveiled several film posters, increasing the fans’ excitement.

Last year, on his birthday, Karan announced that his next directorial is going to be an action film which he will commence shooting in April 2023, but no new update on the project was announced.

Meanwhile, Alia will also be seen in the upcoming Hollywood action thriller film ‘Heart of Stone’ alongside Gal Gadot. The film is set to stream on the OTT platform Netflix from August 11.

On the other hand, Dharmendra will be seen in director Anil Sharma’s ‘Apne 2’ along with her sons Bobby Deol, Sunny Deol and his grandson Karan Deol. The official release date of the film is still awaited. (ANI)

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Teaser Brings Back KJo’s Signature style

Missed watching a typical Bollywood film loaded with loads of drama, music and love lately? Filmmaker Karan Johar is all set to leave you nostalgic with his upcoming directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ which seems to be high on “emotions, drama, parivaar, and above all, pyaar.”

On Tuesday, Karan unveiled the first official teaser of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh-starrer ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. Veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi are also a part of the film.
The one-minute teaser does not disclose much about the film. Set to the melodious tune of ‘Tum Kya Mile,’ the clip captures the essence of Rocky and Rani’s love story. Interestingly, the film also brings back the famous chiffon sarees and actors dancing amidst snow-clad mountains.

‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ promises to be a wholesome, big-screen entertainer, blending Johar’s storytelling finesse with an impressive ensemble cast, grandeur and music. There were also many scenes of the two romancing and fighting, celebrating all kinds of festivals with their families, and possibly a wedding.

Sharing the teaser’s link, Karan took to Instagram and wrote, “Presenting to you the first glimpse of a piece of my heart – #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani! I’m thrilled and super excited to finally let it unfurl for you all to see…watch…and give love!!!TEASER OUT NOW! In cinemas 28th July, 2023.”

The teaser has left fans and members of the film industry excited.

“Omg ! Bigger than BIG Absolutely it,” Alia’s mother Soni Razdan commented.

“this has blockbuster written all over it,” a fan commented.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan also gave a shoutout to Karan Johar, praising the teaser.

“Wow @karanjohar 25 years as a filmmaker. You’ve come a long way baby!! Your father and my friend Tom uncle must be seeing this from heaven and feeling extremely happy and proud. Have always told you to make more and more films because we need the ethereal magic of love being brought to life… like only u can do. #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani teaser is looking beautiful. Love you and best wishes to the cast and crew…,” he wrote.

Shabana Azmi shared one of her stills from the teaser. In the still, she is seen holding a book.

Describing the particular scene, she took to Instagram and wrote, “Singing a famous Bengali song Aaami Cheeni go Cheeni in #Karan Johar’s #Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.”

‘Rocky Aur Rani…’ marks Karan’s return to director’s chair after over six years. The film will hit the theatres on July 28. (ANI)

Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra turned a year older on Thursday.

To mark this occasion, many Bollywood celebs took to their social media accounts and extended warm birthday wishes to the He-man of Bollywood.
Dharmendra’s son Sunny Deol, took to his Instagram and wrote, “Happy Birthday Papa. Love you.”

Dharmendra is considered one of the best action heroes of Indian cinema and is also known as the He-Man of Bollywood.

He has delivered remarkable performances in films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Pratiggya’, ‘The Burning Train’ and many more.

He will be next seen in Karan Johar’s upcoming romantic comedy film ‘Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani’ alongside Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi.

The film is all set to hit the theatres on April 28, 2023.
