Father’s Day: SRK Wishes Suhana For Debut ‘The Archies’

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan wished daughter Suhana Khan all the best for her debut film, ‘The Archies’, on Father’s Day.

Sharing the teaser of ‘The Archies’ on his Instagram handle, King Khan wrote, “On Father’s Day here’s wishing the best to my baby… all the babies… and Tiger Baby… for #TheArchies!”

To this, Suhana replied, ” luv uuuu.”

Earlier, on Saturday, the film’s teaser was released during Netflix’s Tudum fan event.

The film marks the debut of Suhana, Boney Kapoor and late Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor and megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya.

The over-one-minute teaser reveals that the film is set in 1964 in Riverdale, described on a railway sign as a “hill station,” a term dating back to colonial times that refers to a town located at a higher elevation than the nearby plain.

One of the transport links servicing the hill stations are small mountain railway trains running on narrow gauge tracks, known affectionately as “toy trains”, and the teaser opens with a shot of the top train puffing into Riverdale station.

The Archies gang play music and dance at parties and classrooms while also enjoying their time outdoors. The teaser also offers a glimpse of the gang — Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor — falling in love and going through heartbreaks. Young actors Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Yuvraj Menda and Vedang Raina also feature in the film’s cast.

Shah Rukh made his much-awaited comeback after a hiatus of 4 years with Siddharth Anand’s blockbuster action-thriller ‘Pathaan’, which was released in January this year.

Shah Rukh will be next seen in the upcoming action-thriller ‘Jawan’, which is all set to hit the theatres on September 7.

Helmed by South filmmaker Atlee, the film also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. The film is billed to pack high-octane action sequences. Shah Rukh’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment has produced the actioner.

He also has director Rajkumar Hirani’s next ‘Dunki’ opposite actor Taapsee Pannu. The official release date of ‘Dunki’ is still awaited. (ANI)

Masaba’s Father’s Day Post For Vivian, Step-Dad Vivek Is All Things Love

On the occasion of Father’s Day, fashion designer Masaba dropped an adorable picture with her dad Vivian Richards and step-father Vivek Mehra.

The image shows Masaba standing between Vivian and Vivek.
“I must have done something right to get this lucky #happyfathersday,” she captioned the image which was taken during her wedding ceremony with Satyadeep Mishra in January 2023.

The post garnered several likes and comments.

“How adorable,” a social media user commented.

“Too cute, ” another one wrote.

Neena Gupta and former West Indies player Vivian Alexander Richards had Masaba out of wedlock and have lived separately throughout their life. Neena welcomed her daughter Masaba on November 2, 1989. She raised her alone. In 2008, Neena got married to chartered accountant Vivek Mehra.

Vivian came to India in January 2023 to attend Masaba’s wedding with Satyadeep Misra. Masaba was extremely happy to tie the knot in the presence of her two fathers.

Masaba even shared a cute family picture along with a caption, “For the first time ever – My whole life came together. This is us. My beautiful blended family. Everything from here on is just bonus.”

The fam-jam snap featured her beau Satyadeep, Satyadeep’s mother Nalinimisra Tyabji, his sister Chinmaya Misra, Neena Gupta, her husband Vivek Mehra and Masaba’s father Viv Richards.

Masaba was previously married to producer Madhu Mantena and Satyadeep to actress Aditi Rao Hydari. (ANI)

Dharmendra Receives Father’s Day Wishes From Sunny, Bobby, Esha

On the occasion of Father’s Day, actors Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Esha Deol wished for their dad Dharmendra.

Sunny and Bobby took to their Instagram to share the same post. The post read, “My world! #HappyFathersDay.”

In the first picture, the Deol brothers were seen sitting with their father. The image was from Sunny’s son and actor Karan Deol’s Roka ceremony.

The other throwback picture from the roka ceremony featured Sunny, Karan, Bobby and Dharmendra.

Esha, on the other hand, posted a throwback picture with her dad. She wrote, “Thick as thieves, best secret keeper & the best teddy bear hugs. love you papa. Happy father day. Wishing all a very happy fathers day.”

Dharmendra was seen giving a hug to Esha in the picture.

Meanwhile, Karan tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Drisha Acharya on Sunday. The groom and his family arrived with baaratis in style at Mumbai’s Taj Lands End, where the wedding festivities took place.

Dharmendra added ‘chaar chaand’ to his grandson Karan’s wedding procession with his dance to dhol beats.

The Deol family will host a reception in the evening on Sunday for their friends and members of the film industry.

Earlier on Friday, the grandfather-grandson duo made the pre-wedding function, sangeet ceremony, extra special with their dance to the iconic song ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’.

Karan and Drisha’s pre-wedding festivities began with a roka ceremony on Monday night and videos and pictures from the festivities are trending. (ANI)
