Shilpa, Rani, Gauri Attend Birthday Bash Of KJo’s Kids

Filmmaker Karan Johar on Saturday hosted a pre-birthday bash for their kids Yash and Roohi in Mumbai.

From Shilpa Shetty to Gauri Khan and Rani Mukerji, several stars attended the party with their kids.

Shilpa happily posed with his son Viaan and daughter Samisha. Rani, too, posed for the shutterbugs. She looked gorgeous in a denim co-ord set.

Genelia Deshmukh and Riteish Deshmukh also marked their presence at the bash with their sons.

Gauri was seen exiting the venue with son AbRam and friend Maheep Kapoor.

Karan welcomed his son Yash and daughter Roohi via surrogacy on February 7, 2017. He named Yash after his deceased father Yash Johar, while Roohi is an anagram of his mother’s name Hiroo.

Meanwhile, on the work front, KJo’s directorial film ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ received nominations in 18 categories including Best Director, Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) and Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female).

Alia bagged Best Actor award for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.

As the film garnered several awards at the ceremony, Karan posted a note of gratitude.”A night to remember! @filmfare…And thank you to everyone for all the love for our #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani,” he wrote. ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ marked his comeback to the director’s chair after almost seven years.

The film starred Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. The film turned out to be a hit. He has not announced his next directorial yet. (ANI)

KJo Announces New Season Of ‘Koffee With Karan’

Filmmaker Karan Johar is all set to bring forth a new season of Koffee with Karan Season 8 on Disney+ Hotstar.

Karan took to Instagram to announce his new show with a trailer video. He wrote, “Turns out, my own Konscience wants to troll me too! But screw what he thinks, I’m still brewing Season 8! #HotstarSpecials #KoffeeWithKaran Season 8 – streams from 26th October only on @disneyplushotstar!”

In the video, Karan can be seen talking to his own fake avatar about the changes he can do in the new season.

In this season Karan will bring out the fun and no-filter side of the actors.

Alia Bhatt To Star In Vasan Bala’s Next Film ‘Jigra’

Actor Alia Bhatt on Tuesday announced her next film with director Vasan Bala.

Titled ‘Jigra’ the film will be co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia herself.

Post the success of the romantic drama film ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ Alia will be again seen joining hands with KJo for the new project.

On Tuesday, actor Alia took to her Instagram account and shared the announcement video of the film.

“Presenting #Jigra, directed by the extremely talented @vasanbala and produced by @dharmamovies & @eternalsunshineproduction. From debuting in a Dharma production to now producing a film with them, in many ways, it feels like coming full circle from where I started. Every day is a different day… exciting, challenging (and a little scary)… not just as an actor but also as a producer as we bring this film to life, and I CANNOT wait to share more as we move forward. JIGRA – in cinemas on 27th September 2024,” she captioned.

Karan also shared the announcement video and captioned it, “The return of…my #Jigra, @aliaabhatt once again on this exceptional story helmed by @vasanbala. A story of unbreakable love & unshakable courage! JIGRA – in cinemas on 27th September 2024.”

The film is all set to hit the theatres on September 27, 2024.

Soon after the ace filmmaker shared the announcement video, fans swamped down the comment section and dropped red hearts and fire emoticons.

Director Vasan Bala previously helmed films like ‘Monica O My Darling’, a crime thriller film ‘Peddlers’ and ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’.

‘Jigra’ marks Alia and Vasan’s first on-screen collaboration.

Apart from this, Alia will also be seen in director Farhan Akhtar’s film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ alongside Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif.

Recently, in an interview with US-based publication Variety, director Farhan Akhtar shared that ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ is on hold at the moment.

“We just have issues with dates, and the actor’s strike that’s happened has put Priyanka’s dates into a huge tizzy with what can happen and what can’t, so I’ve started genuinely believing that that film now has a destiny of its own. It’ll happen when it has to, we’ll see,” Farhan told Variety.

The film promises to be another tale of friendship in the lineage of ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. (ANI)

Aditya, Ananya Attend Producer Aman Gill’s Wedding Bash

Bollywood producer Aman Gill on Sunday night hoisted a grand wedding bash in Mumbai where several B-town celebs marked their presence.

Rumoured couple Aditya Roy Kapur and Ananya Panday also attended the bash in their party outfits.

Ananya Panday looked gorgeous as she wore a white tube dress. The ‘Dream Girl 2’ actor accessorized her look with a blingy bag along with her and wore evil-eye earrings. She left her hair open.

Talking about Aditya, he looked handsome as he donned an all-black outfit. He wore a black shirt and black trousers and paired them with black and white sneakers.

However, the rumoured couple didn’t arrive at the party together.

Apart from them, celebs like Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Kapoor, Harnaz Kaur, Sidharth Malhotra, and Varun Dhawan also attended the bash.

Aditya and Ananya have been keeping their relationship under wraps.

Earlier, during the episode of ‘Koffee With Karan season 7’, Ananya talked about finding Aditya attractive.

When Karan Johar quizzed about her alleged relationship with actor Ishaan Khatter and dating rumours with actor Kartik Aaryan, Ananya gave a cryptic answer and said she did not wish to dwell in the past. However, Ananya did reveal her newest crush when she said, “I find Aditya Roy Kapur hot.”

The duo’s dating rumours stared after they made a joint appearance at Kriti Sanon’s Diwali bash last year. Neither of them have confirmed about their relationship yet.

On the work front, Ananya will be next seen in director Vikramaditya Motwane’s untitled cybercrime-thriller film.

She also has Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ opposite actors Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav.

She will also be making her web series debut with Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Call me bae’.

Talking about Aman Gill, he tied the knot with Amrit Berar earlier this year.

Actors Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are leaving no stone unturned to promote their upcoming film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.

After the interesting trailer and romantic song ‘Tum Kya Mile’, the makers unveiled a quirky dance number titled ‘What Jhumka’. Several fans shared reels on Instagram, grooving to the track and sharing their version of it.

Ranbir and Alia also created a fun reel. And guess who made the special appearance? None other than director Karan Johar.

On Friday, Ranveer took to Instagram and dropped the video.

In the clip, Ranveer and Alia are seen racing inside Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions office as they reach a point and start doing the hook step of the song.

“POV: When you simply have to make it in time for the Beat Drop,” he captioned the post.

Ranveer and Alia’s fun bond brought smile to the fans’ face.

“Hahaha cuties,” a social media user commented.

“How adorable,” another one wrote.

‘What Jhumka’ is sung by Arijit Singh and Jonita Gandhi. It is penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

The song also has a few lines from the iconic track ‘Jhoomka Gira Re Bareilly Ke Bazaar Mein’.

Makers of the upcoming romantic-comedy film ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ on Saturday shared some fun BTS moments during the shoot of the film.

Taking to Instagram, Dharma Productions dropped the video which they captioned, “It’s a whole different kahaani on-set. Before you meet them on-screen, here’s a glimpse of all the unfiltered moments off-screen.#RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani a film by Karan Johar in his 25th anniversary year, in cinemas 28th July.”

In the video, director Karan Johar could be seen enjoying with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt during the shooting.

In one of the clips, the ‘Ram-Leela’ actor could be seen giving a massage to choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant as they were shooting in Kashmir.

Soon after the makers dropped the video, fans flooded the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons.

Taking to Instagram, KJo shared a string of unseen pictures from the sets of ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ and captioned it, “It’s ROCKY day!!!! Happiest birthday to this magnanimous force of nature…thank you for giving all your heart to our kahaani…Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Lots of love to you always.”

In the pictures, Karan and Ranveer can be seen posing on the sets of the film. He also shared some candid pictures with the actor.

Karan Honoured By UK Parliament

Director Karan Johar has been honoured by the British Parliament today for his contribution to the global entertainment industry. He has completed 25 years in the Indian film industry and on this special occasion, he unveiled the teaser of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.

Baroness Verma of Leicester hosted the event with members of Parliament in attendance including Lord Desai, Baroness Uddin and Rt Hon Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi MP and British Asian trailblazers, influencers and community leaders.
He took to his Instagram handle to share a picture in which he can be seen receiving the certificate. He wrote in the caption, “Today has been SUCH A SPECIAL day! I am fortunate and deeply grateful to be honoured at the British House of Parliament, in London by the esteemed Baroness Verma of Leicester. We celebrated my 25th year as a filmmaker in the film industry and I launched the teaser for #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani too!”

“It’s one of those days where I pinch myself and realise that dreams do come true. Thank you everyone for the unabashed love you have shown me in my journey. And I promise you, there is more to come!@ukparliament,” he added.

As a result of filming several of his projects there, including ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, Johar has a unique bond with the UK.

His blockbusters ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ and ‘My Name Is Khan’ broke records as the highest-grossing Indian films at the UK Box Office upon their theatrical releases.

Karan, who made his directorial debut with the blockbuster ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ in 1998, is all set to come up with ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ on July 28, 2023.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani Teaser Brings Back KJo’s Signature style

Missed watching a typical Bollywood film loaded with loads of drama, music and love lately? Filmmaker Karan Johar is all set to leave you nostalgic with his upcoming directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ which seems to be high on “emotions, drama, parivaar, and above all, pyaar.”

On Tuesday, Karan unveiled the first official teaser of Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh-starrer ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. Veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi are also a part of the film.
The one-minute teaser does not disclose much about the film. Set to the melodious tune of ‘Tum Kya Mile,’ the clip captures the essence of Rocky and Rani’s love story. Interestingly, the film also brings back the famous chiffon sarees and actors dancing amidst snow-clad mountains.

The teaser has left fans and members of the film industry excited.
