Babri Masjid Taken Away In Systematic Manner: Owaisi

Babri Masjid Taken Away In Systematic Manner: Owaisi

Raking up the title deed dispute surrounding the Ram Janmabhoomi as the nation counts down to the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony on January 22, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday said the Babri Masjid was taken away from the Muslims in a ‘very systematic manner’.

After a prolonged movement involving a number of court sittings and litigations, a five-judge Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court ruled the title dispute in favour of the Hindus in a landmark ruling, giving primacy to the claim that the Babri mosque was built on the ruins of a temple at Ram Janmabhoomi in the 16th century.

The apex court based its ruling on the findings of a survey by the Archaological Survey of India (ASI), determining that the mosque was raised on the ruins of a Ram temple.

However, as has been widely reported, the mosque was razed by Kar Sevaks in 1992, triggering communal riots across the country that claimed scores of lives.

Kar Sevaks later pitched tent at the demolition site and started worshipping an idol of Ram Lalla inside it.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Owaisi said, “Muslims offered namaz in Babri Masjid for 500 years. When the Congress”s Govind Ballabh Pant was the CM of Uttar Pradesh, idols were placed inside the masjid. (KKK) Nair was the district magistrate of Ayodhya at the time. He shut the masjid down and started worshipping there. There was no Ram Mandir in Ayodhya when the VHP (Vishwa Hindu Parishad) was founded. Mahatma Gandhi never said anything about Ram Mandir.”

“However, the Babri Masjid was taken away from us in a systematic manner. Had GB Pant removed those idols back in the day and the Masjid not been demolished in 1992, we wouldn’t have seen what we are seeing today. Even Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, whose party (AAP) is a partner in the INDIA bloc, talked about holding Sunderkand Paath and chanting Hanuman Chalisa on Tuesdays. Everyone is busy wooing voters of the majority community,” Owaisi added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform the rituals around the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony on January 22. The main rituals will be officiated by a special complement of top seers chosen from across the country.

The team of priests will be led by Lakshmikant Dixit. Several celebrities and top dignitaries have been invited to the ‘Pran Prathistha’ of Shri Ram Lalla on January 22. (ANI)

Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust Champat Rai o

Jan 22 Next Year Is As Important As Au 15: Ram Temple Trust Chief

Ahead of the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, General Secretary of Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust Champat Rai on Friday compared January 22 next year to that of India’s independence — August 15, the day it was liberated from the foreign yoke.

“January 22, 2024, is as important as August 15, 1947; it is equally important as getting Kargil back, and as much as the detention of one lakh soldiers was important in 1971,” Rai told ANI.

He further said that there is a feeling of satisfaction among the people of Ayodhya over the construction of the temple which has become an ‘instrument to unite India’.

“There is a feeling of satisfaction. The people of Ayodhya, small princely states of the neighbourhood, priests, teachers and all the saints from all over India after 1983, started getting associated with it. The subject which was limited only to Ayodhya, became the subject of the respect of the entire country,” he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the installation of the idol of Ram Lalla at the grand temple on January 22. Preparations are underway in full swing for the event, which will draw dignitaries and people from all walks of life.

Apart from political and religious leaders, Bollywood actors, including Amitabh Bachchan, have been invited to the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust has decided to enthrone Ram Lalla at the sanctum-sanctorum of the Ram Temple at noon on January 22, next year.

Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama, holds great spiritual, historical and cultural significance for the people of India.

The trust has also invited 4,000 saints of all sects for the ceremony.

Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of Ram Lalla (infant Lord Ram) in Ayodhya will begin on January 16, next year, a week before the main ceremony.

A priest from Varanasi, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, will perform the main rituals of the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22. From January 14 to January 22, Ayodhya will mark the Amrit Mahautsav.

A 1008 Hundi Mahayagya will also be organised, in which thousands of devotees will be fed. Several tent cities are being erected in Ayodhya to accommodate thousands of devotees, who are expected to arrive in the temple town of Uttar Pradesh for the grand consecration of the Ram Temple.

According to the Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust, arrangements will be made for 10,000-15,000 people.

Local authorities are gearing up for the anticipated surge in visitors around the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony and are in the process of implementing enhanced security measures and making logistical arrangements to ensure a smooth and spiritually enriching experience for all attendees. (ANI)

Yogi Approves 3 Routes For Ram Temple

With a steady stream of devotees to Ayodhya amid the ongoing construction of the Ram temple, the Uttar Pradesh government has approved three main routes to the temple site which will enable visitors to have ‘darshan’.

Work on laying two of these routes is already underway, government officials said. One of these three routes, to be named Ram Path, will span 13 km and connect Sahadatganj to Naya Ghat. While the road is to be laid at a cost of Rs 400 crore, the tendering process has been completed. A committee has also conducted a survey of the main route after it was approved by the government.
The locals on the route, who have homes or run shops or other establishments, would be rehabilitated before work on constructing the main approach road to the Ram temple begins.

The other route, to be called Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path, will connect Birla Dharmashala to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple via Sugreev fort. Work on laying this route is on in full swing. While the work was initially estimated to be completed by November, officials now say that work will go on till December. “We will have the route ready by December this year,” Navdeep Rinwa, commissioner, of Ayodhya Mandal.

The third route will connect Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple to Singar Ghat via Hanumangarhi. Work on this route is underway at a fast pace, officials said, adding that most of the land losers on this route have already been awarded compensation. “After clearing some other areas, work will start. The route, once ready, will help draw more visitors to the temple. The Ram Janmabhoomi Path Marg will not only save the devotees time but also enable them to have a darshan. The ongoing work is sustainable and there will be no need to run repairs at least for some time,” Kamala Prabhat Singh, an Ayodhya resident, said. (ANI)
