Sara Turns Anarkali At 53rd IFFI In Goa

If there’s one character in Hindi cinema that became immortal was the one that was played by the ‘Marilyn Monroe of Bollywood’, Madhubala as Anarkali in the iconic film ‘Mughal-e-Azam.

And on Sunday, actress Sara Ali Khan made everyone nostalgic by dancing to Madhubala’s song ‘Pyar Kiya toh darna kya’ from ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ at the opening ceremony of the 53rd International Film Festival of India in Goa.
Dressed in ethnic costume, Sara looked graceful in her Anarkali avatar at the event.

Basically, she danced to periodic drama songs. She also grooved to ‘In aankhon ki masti mein’ from ‘Umrao Jaan’, ‘Salaame-E-ishq meri jaan’ from ‘Muqaddad ka sikandar’, ‘Maar dala’ from ‘Devdas’ and ‘Deewani Mastaani’ from ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

Ahead of her stellar performance, Sara spoke to ANI and said, “I am really excited to perform at IFFI. I am dancing to songs that I have grown up listening to. I am literally inspired by those songs and I feel no one can ever do justice to those songs.”

The grand opening ceremony of IFFI 2022 also saw Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, and Kartik Aaryan performing on the stage. (ANI)

Maybe, Maybe Not: Shubman Breaks Silence On Rumours Of Dating Sara

Indian cricketer Shubman Gill, who recently appeared on a Punjabi chat show, broke his silence about his rumoured relationship with Bollywood actor Sara Ali Khan.

Shubman recently appeared on Sonam Bajwa’s chat show ‘Dil Diyan Gallan’ and during the conversation that followed, the Punjabi actor questioned the cricketer on who was the fittest Bollywood actor?
To this, he answered, “Sara”.

Following his revelation, Sonam asked Shubman whether he was dating the actress, to which he replied, “Maybe.”

Punning on the name of the Bollywood beauty, the Punjabi actor then asked him to reveal the truth saying, “Sara ka sara sach bolo (Tell the whole truth).”

To this, Shubman replied, “Sara da sara sach bol diya (I have told the whole truth). Maybe, maybe not.”

Rumours about Sara and Shubman dating started circulating in August this year after they were spotted having dinner together.

A Tik-Tok user shared their video on social media and it went viral.

The viral clip received a lot of attention from fans who were curious to know more about their relationship status.

However, neither Sara nor Shubman confirmed their relationship.

Before Shubman, Sara was in a rumoured relationship with her ‘Love Aaj Kal’ co-actor Kartik Aaryan, which director Karan Johar had confirmed on his chat show ‘Koffee with Karan Season 7’.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sara will be next seen in director Laxman Utekar’s upcoming untitled romantic-comedy film alongside Vicky Kaushal.

She also has ‘Gaslight’ alongside Vikrant Massey and ‘Chitrangada Singh’ in her kitty.

Shubman, meanwhile, was retained by his Indian Premier League (IPL) team, the Gujarat Titans, for the next season of the cash-rich domestic T20 league.

He would also feature in the India colours in the upcoming T20i and ODI series against New Zealand, from November 18 to November 30. (ANI)

Sara Ali Khan Reveals Her ‘Partner In Crime

Bollywood actor Sara Ali Khan, on Wednesday, revealed her ‘Partner In Crime’, ‘Filmy Saathi’ and ‘Sarson ka saag provider’ on her social media.

Taking to Instagram, Sara dropped a warm birthday wish for her best friend Jehan Nanda and wrote, “Happiest birthday @jehananda. Thank you for being my partner in crime, my filmy Saathi, my vacation buddy, my Sarson ka saag provider, and most importantly a constant source of positivity, motivation, and warmth in my life. Love you.”

As per rumors, Sara and Jehan have been dating each other for quite a long time although none of them has officially confirmed their relationship.

Jehan Handa previously worked in Sara Ali Khan’s debut film ‘Kedarnath’ as a team member of director Abhishek Kapoor.

The duo frequently shares their fun videos and photo on social media.

Meanwhile, talking about the work front, Sara will be next seen in director Laxman Utekar’s next untitled romantic drama film alongside actor Vicky Kaushal.

Apart from that she also has ‘Gaslight’ with Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh, and Karan Johar’s next ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’ in which she will play a brave freedom fighter in a fictional tale set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement in 1942.

An upcoming thriller drama is inspired by true events and has been written by Darab Farooqui and Kannan Iyer.

Produced by Karan Johar, the film will premiere exclusively on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.

Sara Ali Khan Has A Thank You Note For Karan Johar

Bollywood actor Sara Ali Khan penned down a thank you note for filmmaker Karan Johar after being announced as the lead star of Prime Video’s upcoming Amazon Original film titled ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, which is set to go on floors this month.

Taking to her Instagram story. Sara dropped a picture featuring Karan along with a note.

She wrote,”AFTER ALL THE MAGNANIMITY, FRIENDSHIP, ADVICE, GENEROSITY, AND LOCE-FINALLY WORKING WITH YOU @KARANJOHAR CAN’T EXPRESS HOW BLESSED I FEEL.”

On Tuesday, Varun Dhawan made the announcement of Sara’s new project in a new promo video shared on his Instagram handle. In his signature style, he mentioned that Sara will play a brave freedom fighter in a fictional tale set against the backdrop of the Quit India Movement in 1942.

A thriller drama, inspired by true events, ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, has been written by Darab Farooqui and Kannan Iyer.

A Dharmatic Entertainment Production, the film is being produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, with Somen Mishra serving as the co-producer, and is being directed by Kannan Iyer.

The Amazon Original Movie will be available to Prime members in over 240 countries and territories upon its release.

Meanwhile, apart from this project, Sara will be seen sharing screen space with Vicky Kaushal in Laxman Utekar’s next.

She also has ‘Gaslight’ with Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh. The film is being directed by Pawan Kriplani who earlier helmed ‘Bhoot Police’ and is bankrolled by Ramesh Taurani. (ANI)
