Moose Wala Case: DP To Probe Role Of Gangsters Bishnoi, Goldy

Delhi Police Special Cell on Monday said that it will probe the role of those linked with gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, after Canada-based Brar claimed responsibility for the recent murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.

Delhi Police said that it had been investigating Brar for allegedly planning several murders and attempts to murder from Canada.
The police further said that, despite Brar living outside the country and Lawrence sitting in jail, the gangsters were still able to plan murders in the country.

Other key associates of the gang Kala Jathedi, Monty and Kala Rana. Raja Monty who is residing in London, Kala Rana were allegedly involved in 30 murders. Rana was extradited to India from Thaliand and was arrested by DCP Chandra’s team in March.

Earlier today, Delhi Police suspected that the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala could be a result of the killing of Vikramjit alias Vicky Middukhera.

According to the Delhi police special cell, both Moose Wala and his manager were involved in the murder of Vicky in August last year.

Special Cell of Delhi Police recently became aware of the nexus of notorious gangster Neeraj Bawania and Tillu Tajpuria. Bawania and Tajpuria teamed up with different gangsters Kaushal Chaudhary, Davinder Bhambia, and Lucky Patial from Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

The Delhi Police had arrested about a dozen miscreants of this five-member gang in connection with the murder of Vicky.

Those arrested were identified as sharpshooter Sajjan Singh alias Bholu, Anil Kumar alias Lath and Ajay Kumar alias Sunny Kaushal. During interrogation, the arrested trio had revealed about the involvement of a Moose Wala and his manager in the Vicky murder case.

As per reports, Vicky was a close friend of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who is serving time in jail in Bharatpur, Rajasthan since 2017 for various crimes.

In a post on his purported Facebook page, gangster Bishnoi has taken responsibility for the murder of singer Moose Wala.

A few days ago a criminal namely Shahrukh was arrested by Delhi Police. He was found to be using a messaging app to communicate from jail with Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, who has claimed responsibility for the death of the singer.

Moose Wala, who was shot at in Punjab’s Mansa on Sunday, was brought dead to the hospital, said Dr Ranjeet Rai, Civil Surgeon, Mansa Hospital.

The incident took place a day after his security was withdrawn by the Punjab police among 424 others. Notably, the singer had joined the Congress party last year in December ahead of the Assembly elections. (ANI)

Somvati Amavasya: 35-40 Lakh Devotees To Take Holy Dip, Says U’khand DGP

On the eve of Somvati Amavasya devotees thronged the bank of Ganga to take a holy dip in the water today, the day is considered to be one of the most important days in the Hindu religion.

Taking note of the event, Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar talked about the heavy rush at the holy site and informed about police preparedness to handle this situation.
He says, “Since Kumbh in 2021, this has been the first holy bath at such a huge scale in Haridwar. This is the first holy bath since Corona struck us. I estimate around 15 lakh devotees have taken the holy bath and by the end of the day, the number could reach 35-40 lakh.”

“We have deployed strong police protection at the site. We’ve divided the police force into 5 super-zone, 15 zone and 39 sectors. Around 2000 police personnel have been deployed in Haridwar alone,” he added.

Talking about the measures they’ve taken to manage the crowd in an efficient way, the Uttarakhand DGP said, “Yesterday there was a heavy rush with traffic at Har Ki Pauri but we managed the situation well without any casualties. To manage the rush, we had to wake devotees up at midnight to take the holy bath. Also, we had to divert people from Har Ki Pauri to other ghats, during the peak time at 5-6 am, requesting them to hold the ritual along other ghats adjacent to the holy Ganga.”

Shravan, the fifth month in the Hindu calendar, is considered to be the most auspicious month of the year. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva who, according to Hindu religious beliefs, is the creator, preserver, and destroyer of this universe. (ANI)

‘Yogi Govt Crackdown On Traffic Mafia Laudable, But Will It Sustain?’

Manish Kumar, a physician in Lucknow, says the current drive against illegal parking and errant vehicles is appreciable but the Govt must sustain it

I am a medical practitioner living in Lucknow for over a decade. When I shifted here, the city roads were spacious. There was heavy traffic during peak hours but it was not difficult to manoeuvre. In the last few years, however, the traffic has completely run wild.

The newest menace to the city traffic is the e-rickshaw, battery-driven three-wheelers that hover on Lucknow roads and crossings like bees. Forget the allocated places for parking and stops, they apply brakes at will even in the middle of road, to fetch or drop a passenger. One of the reasons behind these unruly, untrained drivers is political patronage.

I remember how these e-rickshaws were distributed for free before the 2017 Vidhan Sabha elections. While Akhilesh Yadav distributed green-coloured rickshaws, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed bhagwa (saffron)-coloured right here in the Police Lines to lure voters.

In this light, I find the recent crackdown on not only e-rickshaws but illegal vehicle stands, parking and transport mafia by Yogi Adityanath government is a commendable action. I do not expect the road-users to come heel overnight but if the crackdown is sustained, it will yield results in the long run.

Kumar (left) says the city traffic is in a mess right now

Name a locality in Lucknow, and you won’t find a place to park your vehicle. Ironically, the genuine parking places at various localities remain empty (as they are not at an assessable distance) and the illegal parking are flourishing everywhere. They not only eat up the road space, create a traffic nightmare, but also cause a loss to the public exchequer.

I will recount a personal experience. I recently went to a market place and parked my car at a lot carrying a notice board that read: Lucknow Development Authority – Parking. The attendant also handed me a valid looking slip, duly printed with LDA badge. A couple of days later, I read in the morning newspaper that the same parking lot was removed by the city authorities for running illegally without any authorisation. Do you think it was possible without the involvement of the authorities concerned?

I saw a picture in newspaper recently of a police station which showed the premises jam-packed with vehicles. The caption read: The police station is full of confiscated vehicles, where will the cops park their vehicles? The picture accompanied a report of the drive against illegal parking and vehicles, mostly e-rickshaws plying illegally on the roads.

I remember such crackdowns are conducted intermittently but once the drive is over, things are back to square one. These drives should become a routine exercise and sustained. It is understandable that a guard cannot be put on all such points but the punitive action should be such that no one dares to cross the line.

Netizens Find Uncanny Coincidence Between Sidhu Murder Date, His Top Song ‘295’

From starting his singing career with the duet song ‘G Wagon’ to tasting fame with the hit 2017 song ‘So High’, singer Sidhu Moose Wala, who was shot dead on Sunday, had carved a niche for himself with his controversial lyrical style in a relatively shorter span.

Last year, he unveiled his track ‘295’, which expressed his opinion on section 295 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) — “Injuring or defiling a place of worship with intent to insult the religion of any class”.
“Dharman de naam te debate milugi. Sach bolega taan milu 295 Je karega tarakki putt hate milugi. (Debates on religion will end up your day. Speak the truth you get 295. Successful ones have hate on their way),” the song’s lyrics read.

Strangely, the particular track began to resurface following the untimely demise of Sidhu Moose Wala on Sunday, i.e May 29.

Several netizens found an uncanny coincidence between Sidhu Moose Wala’s death date and the title of the song.

Actor Aly Goni tweeted, “And today’s date is 29/5 #shocking #sidhumoosewala #legend.”

“295 song. Today’s date “29,5”2022 will forever be remembered. Sidhu Moose Wala,” a Twitter user wrote.

“What a coincidence, 295 by Sidhu moose wala is one of his most famous songs.

And today is 29/5. 28 years young, he had so much awaiting for him, life truly is unpredictable,” another one tweeted.

Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in a firing incident in Punjab’s Mansa district on Sunday. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. The shocking incident happened after the Punjab government had withdrawn the security for him and more than 420 other people.

Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar reportedly claimed responsibility for the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala in a Facebook post. Goldy Brar is a close aide of gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi, who is also said to be involved in the singer’s murder. (ANI)

Sidhu Moose Wala: Controversy’s Favourite Rapper

Congress leader and Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead on Sunday, a day after his security was withdrawn by the state police. However, it is to be pondered upon, what made the Punjabi singing fame surrounded by controversies.

Born on 17 June 1993, Moosewala, whose real name is Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, belongs to the Moosewala village which is situated in Punjab’s Mansa district. Moose Wala enjoyed stardom only a few could imagine at a young age in the twenties of his life. He learned music during his college days and after completing his education, he moved to Canada.

However, being widely known for his ‘gangster rap’, hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

He was widely popular among the youth having 6.9 million followers on Instagram. However, his stardom was often overtaken by the controversies surrounding him for promoting drugs and violence through his songs.

For instance, one of his songs titled ‘Jatti Jeone Morh Wargi’ came under the scanner as it made a reference to the 18th-century Sikh warrior Mai Bhago.

Many FIRs were also registered against Moose Wala for promoting violence and hurting the religious sentiments of the Sikh community. However, he had issued an apology later on after people slammed him for portraying the Sikh warrior in a poor light.

Moose Wala was booked after the pictures of him with an AK-47 went viral on social media during the COVID pandemic.

Later, he was also booked by the Punjab police under the Arms Act after being charged with the promotion of gun culture in 2020. The action was taken for one of his songs ‘Panj Goliyan’.

It is notable, that he extended his support to the farmers’ protest at the Delhi borders that went on for more than a year.

The controversies didn’t end here as in July 2020, another song titled ‘Sanju’ similarly kicked off a controversy. In the song, he had compared himself with Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt.

Last year only, a criminal case was filed against Moose Wala and five police personnel, after a video showing him shooting at a firing range went viral on social media.

Stepping into politics in December 2021, the Punjabi singer joined the Congress party and also contested from Mansa, however, he lost.

He was shot dead on Sunday evening in Mansa. (ANI)

Punjab Director-General of Police VK Bhawra on Sunday informed that the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang was involved in Sidhu Moose Wala’s murder. Gang member- Lucky, has taken responsibility for the murder.

He further said that a special investigation team (SIT) has been formed to investigate the matter. Bhawra also informed that Moose Wala had a private bulletproof car and two police commandos, which he did not take along today.

“He had four commandos from Punjab Police out of which two were taken back but he was having two commandos which Moose Wala didn’t take along with him today. Sidhu Moose Wala had a private bulletproof car that he didn’t take with him,” he added.

“After leaving his home, when Sidhu Moose Wala was driving his car along with two others in Mansa district, two cars came from front and firing took place. He was injured and was taken to hospital where he was brought dead. It seems like an inter-gang rivalry. On the orders of the Chief Minister, the Inspector General range has been directed to form a Special Investigation Team. SSP Mansa and SSP Bathinda have been deployed there. ADG law and order has mobilised additional forces,” Bhawra said.

Moose Wala, who was shot at in Punjab’s Mansa on Sunday, was brought dead to the hospital, said Dr Ranjeet Rai, Civil Surgeon, Mansa Hospital.

The Congress leader was shot at by unknown people earlier today.

The incident took place a day after his security was withdrawn by the Punjab police among 424 others.
