Bommai Hits Back At Cong Amid Voters Data Theft Charge

The Congress government made use of the entire information of the state but still lost the election, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Thursday, adding that the Congress leaders were issuing ‘desparate’ statements.

Speaking to reporters on the charges by Congress leaders on the misuse of the election nomination paper, the CM said the previous Congress government headed by chief minister Siddaramaiah spent Rs 130 crore to carry out a socio-economic survey of the state, which included caste, sub-caste among other aspects and prepared a huge document.
Instead of making it public, the same was used for the election purpose, the CM alleged.

The current government was in no way connected with it, the CM said, adding that if this thing happened at a lower level, it will be enquired and the guilty will be punished.

Earlier on Thursday, Congress attacked the Karnataka chief minister alleging that he was directly involved in the electoral fraud that has come to light in Bengaluru.

“Shocking expose reveals that those in power, including Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai, are responsible for theft of voters data, fraud and impersonation,” Congress general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala said at a press conference in Bengaluru on Thursday.

Surjewala demanded a high-level probe in the matter claiming that a private agency named ‘Chilume’ was authorised by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) — the urban local civic body of Bengaluru — to carry out a door-to-door survey of voters in the city.

He alleged that the agency collected the personal details of voters, which tantamounts to a breach of privacy, adding that it was a ‘fraud’ on Bangaloreans.

“CM Bommai, his officials, govt officers, BBMP people, and the state election authority are partners in crime,” Surjewala alleged.

The Congress leader claimed there was no prior intimation on the door-to-door survey, and CM Bommai was responsible for electoral fraud.

“CM Bommai is the BBMP’s minister in charge and its chief commissioner is Bengaluru’s electoral officer. A private entity, Chilume Edu Institute, applies for permission for voter awareness. On being permitted, they commit the fraud of collecting voter data by impersonating booth-level officers,” he alleged.

An FIR should be filed against him (Bommai) and he should be arrested, the Congress leader said.

Surjewala also claimed that the agency had a freehand and its staff were given booth level officer (BLO) cards.

“The agency did not even upload voters’ information on Garuda — ECI app — but on Digital Sameeksha app, which is owned by a private company, for use by MPs, MLAs, and political parties,” Surjewala claimed. (ANI)

Malleshwaram Model School To Be Replicated Across State: Bommai

The Malleshwaram Model Schools will be extended to all the government schools across the State by providing modern facilities, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking after inaugurating Malleshwaram Model School at 18th Cross Malleshwaram and Puneet Satellite works Stations here on Saturday, he said the satellites created by the students of Malleshwaram Model School being unveiled and naming it after the late Puneet Rajkumar are really a good move as a noble work is happening in the name of a deserving person.
“It is quite laudable that such a function is held on the first death anniversary of the great actor and it is like a sort of dedication to the great person. Let the popularity of the Malleshwaram school reach its peak. Puneet Raj Kumar was always known for experimenting with new things and was a man with a kind heart. Though he left this world at a young age he has left behind an indelible impression on the earth. Puneet had wiped out the tears of the poor and downtrodden by helping charitable trusts, educational institutions, Shakthi Dhama with a big smile. He will remain amongst them forever. The Malleshwaram School will take Puneet’s popularity to the sky through the satellite,” he said.

Bommai said education is very important and the 21st century is considered the century of knowledge. One must learn moral education and qualitative knowledge while learning. All have to learn science and math as they will be helpful in life. A strong foundation of language is needed to have a strong foundation in both science and math. The children have the right to question and they must exercise it. Teachers must learn and encourage the kids. Since the children have good grasping power they must be taught moral values, language, science and math as basics in primary education, and this will help in pursuing higher education.

The CM said children must think rationally and question why, whom, what, where, and how. This will help them to think logically. The mugging up of portions is not necessary. These five questions are the stairs to success. If the tough math was taught to four people they will not forget it all.

Sharing knowledge helps to store more knowledge. Seeing the kids will give them confidence that India has a bright future. Inquisitiveness and enthusiasm are very important for kids. One who creates curiosity and innocence among the kids is the real guru. There is a need for building more multi-purpose satellites and to do this the government will bear the cost of training and design.

Bommai lauded Higher Education Minister Dr.C.N.Ashwath Narayana who works as head of a family called Malleshwaram and said having a good heart is very important. Thinking about their children as kids is not correct and treating the kids of the entire constituency as his kids and developing the schools for their bright future is noteworthy. A lot of facilities are provided in this school and it is really a model for the entire state. This model will be extended to other government schools in the State, he added. (ANI)

Preparations For Modi's Rally

K’taka Min Inspect Preparations For Modi’s Rally On Nov 11

Three ministers of the state government visited the BIA on Saturday and inspected the progress of the preparation with regard to the public address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 11.

Dr. CN Ashwath Narayan, Minister and Vice-Chairperson of Kempe Gowda Heritage Area Development Authority, member of the Authority Minister R Ashoka, and Bangalore Rural district in-charge minister Dr. K Sudhakar visited the spot on the instructions of Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai.
They also discussed the suitable venue for the public address by the Prime Minister. They visited the “Arena Complex’ spread in 40 acres which is in proximity to the statue and the other venue near the airport railway station.

“They opined that the place near the railway station is quite far off from the statue from where the statue is not visible. They felt “Arena” from where the Kempe Gowda statue is visible was a suitable venue for the public address by the Prime Minister. However, the final decision would be taken after consulting with the Chief Minister,” an official statement said.

Minister Sudhakar tweeted, “On November 11, Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi will unveil the ‘Statue of Progress’ of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda and perform Bhumi Puja for the construction of the theme park. For that, the work of collecting holy dead is already in progress across the state.”

“The foresight of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda, the builder of Bangalore, and the works he did are unforgettable. The statue of such a saint is an inspiration to all to take our state and country on the path of progress,” he added. (ANI)
