Ananya On Representing India At Red Sea Film Festival

Actor Ananya Panday represented India at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah. The ‘Dream Girl 2’ star also attended Vanity Fair’s Women in Cinema panel.

Sharing her excitement about attending the festival, Ananya Panday said in a statement, “It’s an honour to be part of an esteemed festival such as the Red Sea International Film Festival. Representing India on this platform is a proud moment for me.”

The third edition of the Red Sea Film Festival commenced November 30 with the world premiere of Dubai-based Iraqi director Yasir Al-Yasiri’s fantasy ‘HWJN’ and a glitzy red carpet featuring Will Smith, Sharon Stone, Baz Luhrmann, and a slew of Arabic stars besides Bollywood’s heartthrob Ranveer, as per Variety.

Held in the auditorium of Jeddah’s Ritz Carlton hotel, the opening ceremony reaffirmed this year’s festival theme of ‘Your story, your festival’ given that Jeddah, is also the city where ‘HWJN,’ the opener, is set.

The festival will conclude on December 9.

Notably, Ananya will see her sharing screen space with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav in ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’.

She will be soon making her digital debut with the upcoming series ‘Call Me Bae’. (ANI)

Ananya Sizzles In Red, Samantha Reacts

Actor Ananya Panday, who is basking in the success of her recently released film ‘Dream Girl 2’, has posted some pictures of herself where she is looking gorgeous. 

On Thursday, she dropped a string of pictures in which she wore a thigh-high slit skirt and a red bralette. She looked radiant in minimal makeup with limited accessories. 

Along with the post, she wrote, “Celebrating #DreamGirl2” with a red heart emoji. 

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Sussanne Khan reacted to the post. Samantha dropped fire emojis while Sussanne wrote, “Most beautiful doll” in the comment section.

Recently, ‘Dream Girl 2’ has entered the Rs 100 crore club. To celebrate the occasion, producer Ektaa Kapoor hosted a success party where star cast and celebrities like Ayushmann Khurrana and wife Tahira Kashyap, Ananya’s parents Chunky Panday and Bhavna Panday, Bhumi Pednekar, Rakul Preet Singh with boyfriend Jackky Bhagnani among others mark their presence. 

‘Dream Girl 2’ is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. It stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in the lead roles, while Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh, Seema Pahwa, Abhishek Banerjee, Manoj Joshi and Annu Kapoor appear in prominent roles. Hema Meets ‘New Dream Girl’ Ayushmann

Veteran actor Hema Malini remembered her old days by meeting ‘New Dream Girl’ Ayushmann Khurrana ahead of his upcoming film ‘Dream Girl 2’ release.

On Thursday, Bollywood’s Dream Girl took to Instagram and dropped a video where Hema and Ayushmann were dancing on the music track ‘Dream Girl’ by Kishore Kumar. 

The ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’ actor wore a pink saree while the ‘Andhadhun’ actor opted for a colourful jacket with a white T-shirt and cargo pants.

‘Dream Girl 2′ is the sequel to the highly successful film, ‘Dream Girl’, which was released in 2019.

He will share screen space with actor Ananya Panday.

The first installment was a big hit at the box office. Raaj Shaandilyaa has directed the film and Ektaa R Kapoor has produced it. The film will hit the theatres on August 25. 

In the film, Ayushmann will be seen pretending to be a woman named Pooja.

On Tuesday, the actor dropped the film’s trailer and it turned out to be a laugh riot. In the film, Ayushmann will be seen pretending to be a woman named Pooja.

The poster depicts Ayushmann in a peculiar persona. Only his face is visible to the audience as he emerges from behind a bright curtain. What actually captivates everyone’s attention is Ayushmann’s character Pooja’s extraordinary makeover, who looks to have adopted a lovely and feminine style.

The change of Ayushmann into Pooja is nothing short of magical. Fans have been left in amazement and surprise by his smooth shift between these different identities. It’s a joy to watch the wonderful Ayushmann play Pooja with such aplomb.

The film will be out on August 25. Earlier it was supposed to be released in July. The delay is due to the extensive VFX work required for the film.

Felt Like My Debut Again: Ayushmann On Doing, An Action Hero

After delivering some impactful performances in comedy, thriller, and family drama films, actor Ayushmann Khurrana is all set to step into the world of high-octane action films with ‘An Action Hero.’

Talking about his experience of shooting hardcore action sequences for the first time in his career, Ayushmann said, “It felt like I was making my debut in the Hindi film industry while filming for An Action Hero! I have never explored this genre in my career so I had to unlearn and learn many things to pull off this role effectively on screen. I had a lot of fun and I hope audiences will appreciate what I have tried to do on screen with a disruptive film like An Action Hero.”
In the film, the ‘Bala’ actor will be seen portraying the role of an actor who is being chased by Jaideep Ahlawat.

“Also, my character, Manav, is far removed from who I am in real life. Manav is extravagant, spoilt, moody, and a brat. So, to play him, I had to become someone else completely and channelise these traits,” he added.

Recently, the makers unveiled the official trailer of ‘An Action Hero’ which gathered massive responses from the audience.

Ayushmann said, “I’m thrilled that people have loved the trailer of Action Hero. I always want to present myself in a new way on screen and hunt out scripts that sparkle with newness every single time. It feels great to see how people have connected to An Action Hero as being that kind of film.”

Helmed by Anirudh Iyer, the film is all set to hit the theatres on December 2, 2022.
