Manoj Bajpayee’s First Look From ‘Bhaiyya Ji’ Unveiled

Actor Manoj Bajpayee on Thursday unveiled his first look from his upcoming film ‘Bhaiyya Ji’.

Sharing the film’s poster, Manoj on Instagram wrote, “Aa gaye hai woh. #BhaiyyaJi in cinemas on 24th May. Teaser out on 20th March at 2:42pm.”

The poster shows him seated on the ground as violence takes place in the background. He gives an intense look in the poster.

‘Bhaiyya Ji’ is Manoj’s 100th film, which is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Samiksha Oswal, Shael Oswal, Shabana Raza Bajpayee, and Vikram Khakhar. Apoorv Singh Karki has directed it, while Deepak Kingrani has written it.

As per a statement, ‘Bhaiyya Ji’ is packed with “intense action, gripping revenge drama and heartfelt emotions of family bonding.

Excited about the project, Manoj earlier said, “I am thrilled to step into the world of Bhaiyaaji. It will be a raw and intense character that I am excited to bring to life. A thorough mainstream entertainer that Bhaiyaaji is, made me decide to collaborate with Apoorv Singh Karki who directed Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai and become the producer for this one along with the lovely team.”

On collaborating with Manoj after ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’, Apoorv said, ” With ‘Bhaiyaaji,’ we are embarking on a journey to portray the raw and unfiltered essence of the characters against the backdrop of intense revenge drama and showcase the strength & emotions of family bonds. After a hard-hitting subject of Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, I wanted to explore a completely different style of cinema and Bhaiyaaji was the apt film.”

The film’s teaser will be out on March 20. The release date for the project has been set as May 24. (ANI)

Manoj’s ‘Joram’ Set To Hit Cinemas On This Date

The highly anticipated film Manoj Bajpayee and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub-starrer ‘Joram’ is all set to make its theatrical release.

Taking to Instagram, Manoj Bajpayee shared an announcement poster and captioned it,” A man, chased by his haunting past, races for his life! Get ready to witness this survival thriller.

#Joram in cinemas worldwide on 8th December.”

‘Joram,’ an Indian survival thriller drama, has already created a buzz on both national and international stages, earning acclaim at various film festivals. With its gripping storyline and outstanding cast, including Manoj Bajpayee, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Rajshri Deshpande, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Smita Tambe in lead roles, the film promises to deliver an emotional experience.

The film even received a standing ovation at its premiere screening in Mumbai.

The immersive poster release with a motion logo along with the powerful teaser track sets the stage for an emotionally charged rural experience that will captivate audiences.

Speaking to ANI, Manoj expressed his excitement about the film.

“It’s a very special film. I heard Joram’s script in 2016 and I was really moved by it. I had concerns about how to shoot with a three-month-old child but her mother and whole team managed the shooting so well and took proper care of the child. I also lost a lot of weight for my character in Joram…it’s the best film,” he shared.

Directed, written, and crafted by Devashish Makhija and produced by Shariq Patel, Ashima Avasthi Chaudhuri, Anupama Bose, and Devashish Makhija.

The film is under the cinematic vision of Piyush Puty and the editing mastery of Abhro Banerjee. The soul-stirring music is composed by Mangesh Dhakde.

A collaborative effort between Zee Studios and MakhijaFilm, ‘Joram’ is set to become a cinematic milestone, eagerly awaited by fans and critics alike and is set to release on December 8.

Meanwhile, in the coming months, Manoj will also be seen in other projects including ‘Bhaiyya Ji’.

Manoj Shares Worst Criticism He Got From His Wife

Actor Manoj Bajpayee, who is known for his work in films such as ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Satya’, ‘Kaun?’, ‘Shool’, ‘Raajneeti’, and ‘Aligarh’, talked about the worst criticism his wife, Shabana Raza gave him about his work on the chat-based reality show, ‘By Invite Only’, hosted by Renil Abraham. He also spoke about his professional and personal life and how different platforms are available for actors.

When Renil asked him about the worst criticism that his wife gave him, Manoj replied, “Let me tell you that you are orthodox, you are bad and please don’t do these kinds of films in the future. If you have done it for money, I would prefer to stay on the road rather than see you do these films.”
He also spoke about how the spectrum of the media industry has spread on different platforms.

‘The Family Man’ actor added, “Renil, nowadays there are so many stars, one is a film star, then there are satellite stars, then the OTT star and then YouTube stars are there, like you yourself.”

Manoj Bajpayee’s Mother Passes Away

Actor Manoj Bajpayee’s mother Geeta Devi breathed her last on Thursday. She was 80.

The news of her demise was confirmed by Manoj’s spokesperson. As per the spokesperson, the ‘Satya’ actor’s mother passed away in Delhi’s Max Pushpanjali Hospital.
Geeta Devi was admitted to the hospital for an age-related illness almost 20 days back and on Thursday morning she left for her heavenly abode. Manoj was with his mother during her last hours, the spokesperson said.

Fans of the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ actor paid their heartfelt condolences on social media after the news broke.

“Stay strong Manoj sir,” a social media user tweeted.

“May her soul rest in peace. Sending you strength sir,” another one wrote.

Geeta Devi is survived by her three sons and three daughters. Manoj lost his father last year in October. (ANI)

Manoj To Return As Bhiku Mhatre In Upcoming Song

Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee is all set to return as his iconic character Bhiku Mhatre from the film ‘Satya’.

The ‘Special 26’ actor will be reprising Bhiku Mhatre’s role in the song ‘Kudi Meri’ which also features Abhimanyu Dassani and Dhvani Bhanushali.

Recently, the makers unveiled a short teaser of the song which reminds the tune of 1998’s super hit track ‘Sapne Mein Milti Hai’ from the film ‘Satya’.

‘Kudi Meri’ will be out on December 1, 2022.

Soon after the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ actor shared the news, fans swamped the comment section, dropped heart and fire emoticons, and shared their excitement.

“Mumbai ka kinggg,” a fan commented.

Another fan wrote, “Gazab sir gazab leg reha bilkul mafia.”

Meanwhile, Manoj is currently working on producers Vinod Bhanushali and Suparn Varma’s next untitled courtroom drama film.

The film marks the directorial debut of Apoorv Singh Karki in Hindi films who has helmed popular OTT shows like ‘Aspirants’, ‘Saas Bahu Achaar Pvt Ltd’, ‘Flames’, etc.

Speaking about the new film, Manoj Bajpayee earlier said, “When Vinod Bhanushali & Suparn S Varma told me about the story, I was fascinated and immediately agreed to be a part of this beautiful script. The courtroom drama will enthral and intrigue the audience that Apoorv Karki will create, and we are excited as we start shooting today. I am sure this film is something people will remember for a really long time.”
