‘Positive Log Zinda Hain,’ Says SRK Amid Calls To Boycott ‘Pathaan’

Days after Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra objected to the ‘Pathaan’ song Besharam Rang for its green and saffron costumes worn by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, King Khan, on Thursday, sent out a message of positivity at the inauguration of Kolkata International Film Festival 2022. Without mentioning anything related to the Besharam Rang controversy, SRK in his speech said, “Cinema and in fact, the advent of articulation through social media platforms have now become the foremost expressions of human experience and emotion. The collective narrative of times is shaped by social media and contrary to the belief that the spread of social media will affect cinema negatively.”

He added, “I believe cinema has a more important role to play now. Social media is often driven by a certain narrowness of view that limits human nature…I read somewhere negativity increases social media consumption and thereby increases its commercial value as well…Such pursuits enclose collective narrative making it divisive and destructive.”

“Cinema exposes the vulnerability of human nature by telling stories in the simplest form as they are lived. It allows us to know each other better in a way it’s best placed to sustain a collective counter-narrative that speaks to the larger nature of humankind,” SRK continued.

After concluding his speech, Shah Rukh tweaked his Pathaan dialogue in order to urge people to focus on positivity.

“Kuch dino se hum yaha aa nahi paaye ..aapse mil nahi paaye. lekin ab duniya jo hai normal ho gayi hai. Hum sab khush hai, main sabse zyada khush hu aur ye baat batane mein mujhe bilkul bhi aapatti nahi hai ki duniya kuch bhi kar le, main aur aap log aur jitne bhi positive log hai, sab ke sab zinda hai (We haven’t been able to meet for a while, but the world is becoming normal now. We are all happy and I am the happiest. And I have no qualms in saying, that no matter what the world does, me and you, and all positive people in the world are ALIVE),” SRK said.

‘Besharam Rang’ was dropped online on December 12, and soon it became the talk of the town. While several liked the peppy track, there were also who found ‘Besharam Rang’ objectionable over the use of saffron and green costumes. A slew of activists in Indore even staged a protest against Pathaan and Besharam Rang song and set effigies of Deepika and Shah Rukh on fire. (ANI)

Deepika Costumes In ‘Pathaan’ Song Sparks Row

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s new song ‘Besharam Rang’ from their upcoming film ‘Pathaan’ has brewed a fresh controversy.

The first track from the film, which has been the talk of the town ever since it was released, is trending, and this time, not for the right reasons!

Taking to his Twitter account, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has made his objections to the song clear.

Sharing a video of himself speaking to local media the minister tweeted saying that he is not sure if the film will be allowed to be released in Madhya Pradesh.

He has objected to the choice of outfits in the song and the color saffron of the costumes donned by Deepika in some of the song sequences.

Narottam Mishra tweeted in Hindi, “The costumes in the song at first glance are objectionable. Actress Deepika Padukone who supports the ‘Tukde Tukde gang’ is in the song of the film #Pathan. The costumes are highly objectionable and the song has been shot with a dirty mindset. The scenes and costumes of the songs should be corrected, otherwise, we will consider whether or not to allow the film to be released in Madhya Pradesh.”

Composed by Vishal-Sheykhar with lyrics by Kumaar, the peppy track showcases the sizzling chemistry between Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

Deepika’s sizzling moves and SRK’s hot look, undoubtedly, won many hearts however, now that trouble has knocked on their doors, it remains to be seen how the makers respond to it.

Deepika Teases Fans With Hot Avatar From ‘Besharam Rang’

Deepika Padukone is all set to treat her fans with her hot avatar in Pathaan’s first song ‘Besharam Rang’.

As ‘Besharam Rang’ will be unveiled on December 12, Deepika, on Friday, shared a glimpse of her look from the track.

In Besharam Rang’s poster, Deepika looks stunning as ever as she poses in golden swimwear.

“#BesharamRang out on 12th December!#Pathaan only at a big screen near you on 25th January 2023. Releasing in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu,” she captioned the post.

As per the makers, the song is supposedly set to present Deepika at her hottest best and showcase the breathtaking chemistry between her and superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

Speaking more about the song, director Siddharth Anand said, “reveals, “Besharam Rang will present two of the biggest superstars of our generation Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in their hottest avatar yet. For us, this one is the party anthem of the season that people have been waiting for and I’m confident that it will stay a party anthem for many, many years to come. So, I want to tell the fans and audience to patiently wait for the song when it releases on Monday morning! The wait for this one will be worth every second from now!”

Deepika To Unveil FIFA World Cup Trophy During Finals

After representing India at Cannes 2022, actor Deepika Padukone has once again made all Indians beam with pride.

As per a source, Deepika will be flying to Qatar to be part of the most-watched sporting event in the world FIFA, and will be unveiling the FIFA World Cup trophy at the jam-packed stadium.
The FIFA World Cup final will be played on 18 December 2022 at the Lusail Iconic Stadium.

Meanwhile, on the film front, Deepika will be seen sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham in ‘Pathaan’, which is scheduled to release on January 25, 2023.

Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the action-packed ‘Pathaan’ was shot in eight countries.

Talking about the same, Siddharth said, “Locations always play a huge role in my films and they became even more important for Pathaan as we intended to deliver an action spectacle for audiences that they have never seen before. To achieve that scale and variation in visuals we went to 8 countries to shoot the film and its lavish action sequences!”

“We were clear that every scene of Pathaan needs to be breath-taking and we meticulously went about planning to achieve this. I remember the pre-production of Pathaan took close to two years because we wanted to be absolutely sure that we are going to try and raise the bar of action spectacles in India,” he added.

Apart from ‘Pathaan’, Deepika will also be seen with Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas in ‘Project K’. She also has a special cameo in her husband Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Cirkus’. (ANI)

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow recently got its new diamond-studded nameplate and a new entrance door which led the fans to click pictures outside the ‘Don’ actor’s house.

In the pictures, two diamond nameplates could be seen with Mannat written on the left side and Landsend written on the right.

Previously, it was a blackboard with Mannat Landsend embossed on it.

SRK Leaves For Saudi To Resume ‘Dunki’ Shoot

Speculations around Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan resuming the shoot of his upcoming film ‘Dunki’ started spreading on social media after he was spotted at the Mumbai Airport during the early hours of Wednesday by the paps.

Videos surfaced on social media in which SRK could be seen donning a brown jacket, blue t-shirt, and cargo pants.
Soon after the ‘Don’ actor’s videos got viral, fans started speculating that the actor might have left to shoot for the next schedule of Rajkumar Hirani’s film ‘Dunki’ in Saudi Arabia.

The major reason behind fans’ speculations was the ‘Paheli’ actor’s look.

A few months back, a picture got viral on social media from the sets of ‘Dunki’ in which Shah Rukh Khan could be seen with his co-actor Taapsee Pannu.

In the new Aiport video, SRK’s look was quite similar to his look in the previous viral picture.

‘Dunki’ marks the first collaboration of Shah Rukh Khan with director Rajkumar Hirani.

The official release date of the film is still awaited.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen in director Siddharth Anand’s next action thriller film ‘Pathaan’ alongside Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

Deepika Shares Glimpse From ‘Pathaan’ Dubbing

Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone, on Thursday, shared a glimpse from the dubbing session of her upcoming action thriller film “Pathaan”.

Taking to Instagram, Deepika dropped a post which she captioned, “#WIP #pathaan.”

In the post, the ‘Padmaavat’ actor shared a picture of the script of ‘Pathaan’ kept on a table under the mic.

Soon after Deepika shared the post, fans flooded the comment section with fire and red heart emoticons.

“SUPER DUPER EXCITED FOR PATHAAN” a fan commented.

Helmed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Pathaan’ also stars Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham in the lead roles and is slated to hit the theatres on January 25, 2023.

Earlier, the makers unveiled the motion posters and a short teaser of the film, which increased the excitement among the fans.

Siddharth claims that Deepika will have a magnetic aura in Pathaan. He says, “I have worked with her very early in her career and have seen her evolve over the years into a completely different and hungry actor. The first look of Deepika Padukone in Pathaan hints at her magnetic aura that people will be a witness to.”

“Deepika is a rare actor with a pan-Indian appeal like no other and having her in a film, looking the way she is, is a huge USP. We wanted to cast someone who has an appeal across gender and age and there is no bigger star in India today than Deepika Padukone. We can’t wait to unveil her character in the film when it releases only on the big screen on Jan 25th, 2023” the ‘War’ director added to his statement.

‘Pathaan’ marks the fourth on-screen collaboration of Deepika and Shah Rukh Khan after ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Happy New Year’ and ‘Chennai Express’.

Apart from ‘Pathaan’, Deepika will be also seen in ‘The Intern’ alongside Amitabh Bachchan and in a Pan-India film ‘Project-K’ along with south actor Prabhas. (ANI)
