Sam Bahadur Crosses 100 Cr Worldwide

Actor Vicky Kaushal-starrer biopic drama film ‘Sam Bahadur’ has entered the Rs 100 crore club worldwide.

Taking to Instagram, Vicky shared this exciting news with fans.

Sharing the poster, Vicky wrote, “Sam Bahadur marches on with pride & victory at the box office, and we are grateful! “

The film has now crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide since its release.

Sharing the news also on his Instagram stories, Vicky overwhelmed with the response wrote, “I’M Ok.”

As soon as this news was shared, fans and followers chimed in the comment section.

The film got a decent start at the box office on Day 1.

The film minted Rs 6.25 crores on its opening day in India.

Taking to Instagram, trade analyst Taran Adarsh had shared a post which he captioned, “#SamBahadur gathered momentum towards evening shows on Day 1… Biz needs to multiply on Sat-Sun for a respectable weekend total… Fri Rs 6.25 cr. #India biz.”

Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the film also starred Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles.

‘Sam Bahadur’ is based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. His career in the army spanned over four decades and five wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. Manekshaw, fondly called ‘Sam Bahadur,’ led the Indian Army to victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, which resulted in the creation of Bangladesh.

In his military career, Manekshaw also played a crucial role in the Indo-Pak War of 1947 and the liberation of Hyderabad in 1948.

‘Sam Bahadur’ marks Vicky’s second collaboration with Meghna Gulazar after ‘Raazi’.

Actor Vicky Kaushal on Wednesday penned an adorable birthday wish for the ‘Sam Bahadur’ director Meghna Gulzar.

Taking to Instagram, Vicky shared a video from the making of ‘Sam Bahadur’ which he captioned, “Here’s a little birthday dance with you Meghna… wish I could do it in person today! Everyday on set I’d try to be the most hard working person and everyday you’d beat me and everybody else to it. Will keep trying though… Happy Happy Birthday Sweetie… may you always keep inspiring people around you to give their absolute best!!! “

Sachin Lauds Vicky For His Performance In Sam Bahadur

After watching the biopic drama ‘Sam Bahadur’, Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar on Sunday, heaped praises on actor Vicky Kaushal for his performance in the film.

Taking to Instagram, Sachin shared a series of pictures featuring him, his wife and Vicky.

Along with the post, he wrote, “Loved Sam Bahadur. A must watch film for all generations to know the history of our country, and to understand the courage and sacrifices made by Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. Vicky Kaushal has acted so well that it feels like Sam Bahadur is right in front of us.”

After watching the film, Sachin praised the film and Vicky’s performance.

On Saturday night, Sachin Tendulkar with his wife, Anjali Tendulkar attended the special screening of ‘Sam Bahadur.

After meeting Sachin at the screening, Vicky shared his excitement and penned a note on his Instagram handle.

Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal on Friday dropped a picture of him posing next to departed former Army chief Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw’s statue.

Taking to Instagram, Vicky shared a picture which he captioned, “SAM.”

In the picture, the ‘Raazi’ actor looked dapper as he donned a black hoodie and accessorized his look with black shades and a black cap.

Soon after the actor dropped the picture, fans swamped the comment section with red hearts and fire emoticons.

“Excited for #sambahadur,” a fan commented.

Another fan wrote, “I am your biggest fan vicky bhaiya.”

“I’m a big fan of you,” another fan commented.

Recently, the makers of Vicky’s upcoming film ‘Sam Bahadur’ unveiled a teaser of the film and announced the official release date.

The film is all set to hit the theatres on December 1, 2023.

In the teaser, Vicky can be seen wearing a uniform and walking past his troops as they make their way for his exit.

Helmed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala (RSVP), ‘Sam Bahadur’ is the story of India’s war hero and first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw featuring Vicky in the titular role.

Talking about the film, Vicky said, “I am fortunate to portray the role of a real-life hero and patriot who is still remembered and loved for his contributions to our country. There is a lot to learn and take back as an actor. With the amount of prep and hard work the whole team has put in, I am sure the audiences will be thrilled to watch Sam’s mesmerising journey to making India what it is today.”
