Samantha Reveals Her Weight, Metabolic Age

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has kickstarted her Thursday with a “best kind of mornings.”

She took to Instagram to share photos of her working routine with a caption that read, “Forever seeking the morning sun. The best kind of mornings.”

Samantha posted photos of herself on Instagram on Thursday morning. While she did not divulge her location, she did share photos of herself working out, the lush flora she is surrounded by, her weight, and her metabolic age.

In the first photo, she can be seen working out outside, with the sea and nature as a backdrop.

She also dropped pictures of some birds and of a beautiful pool amid lush foliage.

One of the photos showcased her weight, which is 50.1 kg, and metabolic age of 23 at the age of 36.

Meanwhile, on the work front, she was recently seen sharing screen space with Vijay Deverakonda in ‘Kushi’.

Written and directed by Shiva Nirvana and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, ‘Kushi’ was released in theatres on September 1, 2023, in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

Samantha will be seen in the Indian adaptation of the action series ‘Citadel’ opposite Varun Dhawan.

Recently, she finished the shoot of the series.

After wrapping up the shoot, Samantha penned a lengthy note by sharing the pictures from the sets.

She wrote, “And it’s a wrap on #CitadelIndia. A break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all when you know what’s coming @rajanddk @mensit… The family I didn’t know I needed. Thank you for helping me fight every single battle and never ever giving up on me.”

Samantha Ruth Prabhu even declared her role in Citadel as a “role of a lifetime”. Hold on. There’s more to it. Samantha concluded her post with these words, “I wish more than anything in the world to make you proud.. Thank you for the role of a lifetime.. i.e. until you write me the next”.

Samantha Shares Stunning Pic From New York Diaries

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu who is in New York to represent India at the ‘India Day Parade’ on Monday shared a glimpse from her trip.

Taking to Instagram, Samantha treated fans with a series of pictures from her New York diaries.

From gyming, enjoying a dinner date with friends and family to exploring the city.  

Sharing the photos, she wrote, “Something in the New York air.”

The world’s largest ‘India Day Parade’ outside India kicked off on Sunday afternoon in New York City, with the celebration witnessing huge floats and marching groups comprising members of the Indian-American community.

Supporting the spectacle were several members of the diaspora including spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Jacqueline Fernandez and New York City Mayor Eric Adam.

In the viral pictures, Samantha marched in the parade in boho style ensemble.

During her speech at the 41st Annual India Day Parade, she called it an honour to witness such a rich representation of Indian culture and heritage.

“It is truly an honour for me to be here today…you have made me realise how rich my culture and heritage is and what I have seen today will last me for a lifetime. Thank you for all the support through the years. Thank you USA for supporting every film of mine,” Samantha said.

Meanwhile, Samantha will be seen in the Indian adaptation of the action series ‘Citadel’ opposite Varun Dhawan. Created by Raj and DK, the series will stream on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.

Samantha revealed through a social media post that she is diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called ‘Myositis’.

“A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped,” she wrote.

She also added, “I am slowly realising that we don’t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days…. physically and emotionally…. and even when it feels like I can’t handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I am one more day closer to recovery. I love you… (black heart emoji). THIS TOO SHALL PASS.”

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has finished shooting for the spy drama ‘Citadel’.

On Thursday, Samantha took to Instagram and shared a happy selfie from her car.

“13th of July..Will always be a special special day..And it’s a wrap on #CitadelIndia,” she captioned the post.

Created by Raj and DK,  the action-packed series also stars Varun Dhawan.

It is an Indian adaptation of the Russo Brothers’ series of the same name. Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden are headlining the international version. The release date of the Indian version of Citadel is awaited.

Varun’s ‘Citadel’ will premiere on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Recently, Varun and Samantha met President Droupadi Murmu in Serbia.

On ‘Citadel’, Samantha earlier said, “When Prime Video and Raj and DK approached me with this project, I decided to take it up in a heartbeat! After working with this team on The Family Man, it is homecoming for me. Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed the toughest part of shooting for ‘Shakuntalam’ and shared pictures from the training session.

Taking to Instagram, the ‘Oo Antava’ star treated fans with a video of her pet dog and behind-the-scenes picture from her upcoming movie sets.
Samantha was seen posing gracefully as her character in ‘Shakuntalam’ and flaunted her curves in the picture from a training session.

In the video, her pet dog Sasha could be seen lying on a couch.

Along with a post, she wrote a hilarious caption mentioning how grace is not either hers or Sasha’s thing.

The caption read, “The toughest part of #Shakuntalam was maintaining grace and posture while walking, talking, running… even crying! And grace is sooo not my thing. Had to take training sessions for it! Should have taken Sasha along… clearly so not her thing either! #LikeMotherLikeDaughter.”

Based on Kalidasa’s acclaimed Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam, the film is written and directed by award-winning director Gunasekhar (Rudhramadevi) and produced by Neelima Guna and Dil Raju under the banner of Gunna Teamworks and Dil Raju Productions respectively. The film also features Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, the king of the Puru Dynasty.

‘Shaakuntalam’ revolves around the epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant, portrayed by Yashoda star Samantha and Dev Mohan of Sufiyum Sujatayum fame, respectively. It will be out in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The film will hit the theatres on February 17, 2023.

Samantha has been keeping a low profile ever since she was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis.
