Twinkle Khanna, who is enjoying New Year in the Maldives with her husband Akshay Kumar and children on Tuesday, shared a candid video of herself riding a bike, leaving ‘OMG 2’ actor in splits.

The video captured, Twinkle dressed in a printed dress riding a bike.

Attempting to turn, the author mistakenly banged her bike it into a pole. On this, Akshay is seen laughing out loud.

The video also features a family swimming session, a dinner party and the family soaking in the scenic beauty of the destination.

Sharing the video she said, “Aside from banging my wayward bike into a pole, this was truly paradise. It has also been a holiday where taking it a step further from Jesus who turned water into wine, I have already performed my own transmogrification by turning wine into cellulite:) Now let’s see if I can perform another miracle and reverse this situation. On Monday, Twinkle dropped a video of Akshay, where he can be seen cycling with his daughter Nitara.

Akshay and Twinkle have been married for 23 years. They have a son Aarav, 21, and a daughter Nitara, 11.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay is gearing up for ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’.

Recently, the much-anticipated announcement of the film ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’. To kick off the year on a lively note, makers shared a new look for actors Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.

Taking to Instagram, Akshay shared a glimpse of the film.

In the picture, Akshay and Tiger could be seen on a jet ski.

Akshay can be seen wearing a dark green tee and camouflage print joggers while Tiger stands bare-chested, flaunting his perfectly chiselled abs.

Sanjay got married to Maanayata in 2008. While Maanayata and kids Shahraan and Iqra have been living in Dubai for the past three years, Trishala stays in the US.

Sidharth-Kiara Head For New Year Vacation

On Tuesday morning, actors Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani were spotted at the Mumbai airport, all set to celebrate New Year at an undisclosed location.

For the airport look, Kiara opted for a white sweatshirt that she paired with matching joggers. Her husband, Sidharth, on the other hand, wore a black T-shirt that he teamed with a blue and black checkered shirt.

Before entering the airport, the star couple happily posed for the paps.

Sidharth and Kiara also celebrated Christmas in a special way.

On Christmas, Kiara treated her Instagram followers to a lovey-dovey picture of herself and Sidharth. In the picture, the couple can be seen sharing a warm hug. Kiara can be seen wearing a red dress with a reindeer hairband while her husband Sidharth complemented her in a black t-shirt and red pants. Sidharth can be seen planting a kiss on his wife’s cheek.

Sidharth and Kiara tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on February 7, 2023, at Suryagarh Palace in Rajasthan. The two fell in love with each other during the shoot of their film ‘Shershaah’.

In 2022, Sidharth and Kiara appeared on different episodes of Koffee with Karan Season 7, where Karan Johar got them talking about their relationship for the first time.

While Kiara confirmed that they were “more than friends”, Sidharth said, “I am manifesting a brighter and happier future. If it was her, it would be great.”

Sharing their wedding pictures, the duo wrote, “Ab humari permanent booking hogayi hai.”

Nidhi’s ‘Drunk’ Theory A ‘Conspiracy’: Anjali’s Uncle

The maternal uncle of Delhi girl Anjali, who died in the horrific hit-and-drag incident at Khanjawala on New Year’s night, on Wednesday said the deceased’s friend Nidhi is hatching conspiracy by claiming the victim was drunk on the day of the incident.

His response came against the backdrop of claims by Nidhi to the media on Tuesday that Anjali was drunk on the day of the incident.
“Nidhi was hidden previously. Now she has come out after Anjali’s last rites. When the incident happened, did not she have the humanity to report it to the police or family? She was scared then. Is not she scared now? This was Nidhi’s conspiracy,” Anjali’s maternal uncle told ANI.

He said Anjali did not have a drinking habit and her friend is lying over the matter.

“My niece did not have a drinking habit. If she was drunk that night (when the incident happened) as per Nidhi’s claim then the postmortem report would have mentioned that. It means Nidhi is lying,” he said.

He demanded the death penalty for the five accused who were in the vehicle that hit and dragged Anjali.

“Section 302 IPC should be registered against five accused and they should be given the death penalty. Section 304 IPC should be registered against Nidhi. We will appeal this to the government,” Anjali’s maternal uncle said after meeting Sultanpuri Station House Officer (SHO).

Speaking to media persons, Nidhi on Tuesday said, “She was in a drunken state but insisted on driving the two-wheeler. After being hit by the car, she came under the car and got dragged with it. I was scared and ran away and returned home, did not tell anything to anyone. It is the fault of the girl who was driving in an inebriated state. I insisted to her so much that do not drive, I am conscious, let me drive. She did not believe me and believed herself.”

Refuting the claim, Anjali’s mother said, “I don’t know Nidhi. I have never seen her. Anjali never used to drink. She never came home in an inebriated state. We don’t buy what is Nidhi claiming.”

She also questioned how Nidhi left the incident spot if she was, indeed, Anjali’s friend. She termed the incident a “well-thought-out conspiracy”.

“Nidhi is saying all the wrong things. If Nidhi was my daughter’s friend as she claims, why did she leave her alone? This is a well-thought-out conspiracy. Nidhi might be involved in it. There should be a proper investigation into her claims,” she said.

Anjali’s autopsy report said there was “semi-digested food material” present in her abdomen at the time of her death.

However, to ascertain if she was in a drunken state at the time of the incident, her viscera has been preserved for chemical analysis.

The autopsy report further said that Anjali’s back scraped off so badly as she held on the car’s axle and was dragged along that her ribs showed.

The 20-year-old was killed in the early hours of the New Year after her scooter was hit by a car driven by five men and she was reportedly dragged for 13 kilometres under the vehicle in outer Delhi’s Sultanpuri. (ANI)

Apart from the title, the makers also revealed a short teaser of the film which got massive responses from the audience.

With a hint of the finger-snapping title music by Pritam and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, the teaser video revealed the title and introduces the fun and funky chemistry between Ranbir and Shraddha as they lend their voice to the track.

The title video gave a sneak peek into the effervescent mischievous world of the film with adorable glimpses of the ‘Jhoothi’ played by Shraddha and ‘Makkar’ Ranbir.

The film marks the first on-screen collaboration between Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor.

The city of ghats, Varanasi welcomed the New Year with a splendid Ganga Arti. The Arti was performed in the early morning hours of the New Year 2023 on the Assi Ghat.

Devotees in large numbers thronged to the bank of the Ganga river to witness the priests performing glorious Ganga Arti with the blowing of conch shells and clanging of Puja bells.

Meanwhile, in Ujjain, devotees assembled at Mahakaleshwar Temple to get a glimpse of ‘Bhasma aarti’ on Sunday.

Devotees from various cities gathered at the spiritual city of Ujjain to watch the magnificent Bhasma aarti of Lord Shiva which was performed in the early morning hours at the Mahakaleshwar Temple.

In the national capital, devotees visited Delhi’s famous Jhandewalan temple to offer prayers on the occasion of New Year 2023.

Heading to the western peninsular region of India Maharashtra, the New Year was greeted with the devotees gathering for ‘Aarti’ at the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple.

Inching towards Northern India, the people in the agricultural state of Punjab, embraced the New Year by seeking blessings at the Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) in Amritsar.

People thronged to Puri beach to witness the first sunrise to give a promising start to New Year.

In Southern India, devotees offered prayers at St.Luke’s Church in Anna Nagar, Chennai.

People offered prayers at Infant Jesus Church in Coimbatore on the occasion of New Year 2023.

Huge Rush Witnessed At Mata Vaishno Devi Ahead Of New Year

The Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu witnessed a huge rush of devotees on Saturday as serpentine queues were seen on the Trikota hills of Katra despite the severe cold conditions ahead of New Year.

Devotees hailing from different regions of the country, including children, were seen chanting “Jai Mata Di” as they made their way up and down the hill, wishing each other the best ahead of the new year.
“I am getting a good feeling. I come here on the eve of every new year. I have been coming here for 5-6 years to pray to Mata Devi. I am feeling good,” said Manish Kumar, a devotee from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, who was seen chanting “Jai Mata Di”.

Poonam Sharma, another devotee said, “I wish that ‘Mata Rani’ shower her blessings upon everyone. Everyone remain happy. May the new year turn out well and bring happiness to everyone”.

Reminded about the Vaishno Devi stampede of January 1, 2022, in which 12 people were killed and 16 were injured, Sharma said, “It was an unfortunate incident.” And hoped more facilities would be provided in the future.

Ranjan, a devotee who came from Punjab along with her family wished happiness for all.

“I am feeling very happy. May God shower her blessings on everyone — is my wish. I feel fortunate to have come here along with my family to pay our respects at the feet of Mata Devi. I wish happiness to everyone on the eve of the new year,” Ranjan said.

Earlier this month, Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted a security review of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra of Reasi district.

On December 21, Deputy Inspector General, Udhampur-Reasi Range Mohd Suleman Choudhary held the security review meeting that was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi Amit Gupta, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Commandant, Superintendent of Police, Katra, among others.

The DIG reviewed every security drill of the shrine, the yatra route, safety and security of pilgrims visiting the shrine on a daily basis.

The DIG further directed to conduct of a joint security drill along with the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) and other intelligence agencies for the security of the shrine. (ANI)
