Humein Sirf Modi Chahiye: Pakistani’s Plea Goes Viral

Humein Sirf Modi Chahiye: Pakistani’s Plea Goes Viral

In a viral video posted by Pakistani Youtuber Sana Amjad, a fellow Pakistani is heard ranting against the Shehbaz Sharif government over the prevailing state of affairs in the country and saying that they would also have been able to buy goods at reasonable prices had Prime Minister Narendra Modi been ruling Pakistan.

A former journalist, Sana Amjad had stints with several Pakistani media houses. In the viral video, she is heard asking a local why the slogan ‘
Pakistan se zinda bhago chahe India chale jaao
” (Run for your life away from Pakistan, even if it means taking shelter in India) was being raised on the streets, he responds saying he wishes he wasn’t born in Pakistan.
The local said he wishes that the Partition hadn’t happened as he, and his fellow countrymen, could then have been able to purchase essential items at reasonable prices and feed their children every night.

“I wish Pakistan wasn’t separated from India. We would then be purchasing tomatoes at PKR 20/kg, chicken for PKR 150/kg, and petrol at PKR 50 per litre,” he said in the viral video.

“It is unfortunate that we got an Islamist nation but we could not establish Islam here,” he added.

Wishing for “no one but Narendra Modi”, he said “Modi is much better than us, his people respect and follow him so much. If we had Narendra Modi, we wouldn’t need Nawaz sharif or Benazir or Imran, not even (late former military ruler) General (Parvez) Musharraf. All we want is Prime Minister Modi, as only he can deal with all mischievous elements in the country. India is currently the fifth-biggest economy in the world while we are nowhere.”

“I am ready to live under Modi’s rule. Modi is a great man, he is not a bad human being. Indians are getting tomatoes and chicken at reasonable rates. When you cannot feed your children at night, you start ruing the country you were born in,” he added.

“I pray to Almighty to give us Modi and have him rule our country,” he said, with tears in his eyes.

He said the Pakistanis need to stop comparing themselves with India “because there is no comparison” between the two countries. (ANI)

BJP Slams Meghalaya CM After Nod Denied For Modi’s Rally

BJP Slams Meghalaya CM After Nod Denied For Modi’s Rally

After permission for a rally by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the PA Sangma Sports Complex in Tura was denied by the administration in Meghalaya’s West Garo Hills district, the BJP’s state unit on Tuesday at the Conrad Sangma government saying “people will forever loathe the CM for this decision”.

“The Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, under direct instructions from a very scared and insecure chief minister, Conrad Sangma, denied us permission to hold a campaign rally at the P. A. Sangma stadium,” BJP leader and the party’s spokesperson in the state, Bernad N Marak, said on Tuesday.
He said that it was sad and unfortunate that a sitting prime minister was prevented from meeting fellow citizens.

“The fear of losing the (February 27 Assembly) elections is haunting Conrad Sangma and has driven him crazy. The people of Garo Hills will forever loathe the CM for this decision of his,” Marak said.

However, the national president of the ruling National People’s Party (NPP), as well as CM Conrad Sangma denied the allegations of the BJP, saying he had no role in the denial of permission for PM Modi’s rally.

The CM said permissions for campaign rallies are given by the Election Commission and the district administration was adhering to directives issued by the poll panel.

“All permissions come from the s Election Commission of India and based on the same, the district administration takes action as advised. So neither the NPP nor myself had anything to do with it. Dragging us into this is completely wrong. Even I didn’t get permissions for many of my rallies,” he said on Monday.

On the possible reasons why the BJP was denied permission to hold the rally, Sangma said, “It is a fact that when PM Modi holds a programme, a huge crowd gathers to listen to him. So, I believe that the distirct administration might have felt that a huge gathering for the PM’s rally might damage the natural surroundings.” (ANI)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said human welfare is India’s top priority and ‘Operation Dost’ to mobilise earthquake relief to Turkey and Syria demonstrates the country’s constant enveavour to serve humanity.

“Our culture has taught us Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which is to treat the world as a family. Irrespective of where a human tragedy happens, our country has been steadfast in making human welfare as its top priority,” PM Modi said during an interaction with NDRF officials involved in ‘Operation Dost’.
PM Modi shared a video clip of the interaction on his official Twitter handle.

“Today the whole world has goodwill towards India,” the PM said.

In the Twitter post captioned “I will always remember this interaction with those who took part in ‘Operation Dost”, Prime Minister Modi said the operation shows that the country always stands with those in need.

In the video, the PM Modi is also seen appreciating the officers for their work in providing assistance to earthquake-hit Turkey.

A commanding officer of the NDRF, who was part of the interaction, said, “When I was overseing the rescue and relief work (in Turkey), a patient’s relative sensed that I was the commanding officer. He held both my hands, took them to his eyes and then kissed them. He said you are like a father to me. He said ‘I represent my country’s young generation but I can assure you that the coming generations will remember what your country did for us.”

A woman officer recalled a woman in Turkey as telling her, “For me, god comes first and you second.”

The officers revealed that the dog squad, which has been deployed as part of the ongoing relief operations, did their work ably and were in good health.

“We let Julie (part of NDRF’s dog squad) towards the rubbles and she gave us an indication of a survivor trapped under. We sent Romeo after Julie to confirm if there was a survivor. He barked in affirmation,” an officer said.

Another officer said, “We rescued two small girls from the rubble after 80-104 hours.”

“Whenever the Indian Air Force arrives to the rescue of humanity in a friendly country, hope is aroused in people’s hearts that India is standing with them. It is widely acknowledged about India that no matter what happens in the world, we will rush to help and support people in distress,” a senior officer said.

The Indian Army’s medical team deployed under ‘Operation Dost’ touched down on Monday at Ghaziabad’s Hindon Airport after a 12-day operation during which they treated over 3,500 patients in earthquake-ravaged Turkey.

Major Beena Tiwari, an Indian Army Major who served as a medical officer in the 60 Parachute Field Hospital and was seen hugging a Turkish woman in a viral picture, recounted her experience while speaking to ANI.

Major Tiwari told ANI that they realised the full extent of the devastation and the loss of lives after reaching Turkey. Amid all the chaos, finding a spot to set up the hospital was tough, she recounted.

She added that within hours of reaching Turkey, the Army set up their hospital in a building near a local hospital in Iskenderun.

The 99-member self-contained team successfully ran a fully equipped 30-bedded Field Hospital in Iskenderun, Hatay, attending to nearly 4,000 patients round the clock. (ANI)

India has shown world the real meaning of “anti-fragile”: PM Modi

India has shown world the real meaning of “anti-fragile”: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday explained the concept of “anti-fragile” related to the people of India in the context of challenges faced by the world in the last three years due to the COVID pandemic and the war in Ukraine.

Welcoming business leaders from across the globle at ET Global Business Summit, PM Modi said, “Generally the span of three years is not very long time but if we look at the last three years, then it seems that the whole world has travelled a lot of time. When we met last time then masks were not part of our daily life. People thought that vaccines are only for children and for people suffering from deadly diseases. People must have planned their holidays. But after 5 days of ET summit of 2020, WHO declared COVID as a pandemic. Then we saw in small time the whole world changed. So too India also changed.”
“We have heard discussions about the concept of ‘anti-fragile’. A system that not only faces the adverse conditions but uses them and becomes stronger. When I heard the concept of ‘anti-fragile’ then I thought of the strength of the people of India,” he said.

PM Modi said that India has shown the world how to change any adversity into opportunity.

“In last 3 years, when the world was suffering sometimes from Covid pandemic, sometimes from war and sometimes from the challenges of natural disasters, India and Indians displayed unprecedented strength. India has shown the world the real meaning of anti-fragile,” PM Modi said.

“India has shown the world how to convert an adversity to opportunity. By studying the capability shown by India at the time of the biggest crisis in 100 years, humanity will be proud of it after 100 years,” he added. (ANI)

Modi Wears Jacket Made From Recycled Plastic Bottles

Modi Wears Jacket Made From Recycled Plastic Bottles

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday came to parliament wearing a jacket made from recycled plastic bottles giving a message about sustainability.

The Prime Minister chose to wear a sky-blue bandhgala jacket when he came to the Rajya Sabha today. Later in the day, PM Modi is likely to reply to the motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha.
Under the ‘Unbottled’ initiative of Indian Oil, the Prime Minister on Monday had launched the uniforms made from recycled plastic at the ongoing India Energy Week 2023 in Bengaluru.

During the event, PM Modi had linked India’s effort for Green Growth, and Energy Transition with Indian values of where the circular economy is part of every Indian’s lifestyle and Reduce, Reuse and Recycle are part of the culture.

He said initiatives of recycling plastic bottles into uniforms will strengthen Mission LiFE.

“These huge efforts of India towards green growth and energy transition also reflect our values. Circular economy, in a way, is a part of the lifestyle of every Indian. The mantra of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle has been ingrained in our values. Today, we got to see an example of this here. You have seen uniforms made by recycling plastic waste bottles. It does not lack anywhere as far as the world of fashion and beauty is concerned. The target of recycling 100 million such bottles every year will go a long way in protecting the environment,” PM Modi had said.

Guided by the vision of the Prime Minister to phase out single-use plastic, Indian Oil has adopted uniforms for retail customer attendants and LPG delivery personnel made from recycled polyester (rPET) & cotton.

Each set of uniforms of Indian Oil’s customer attendant shall support recycling of around 28 used PET bottles.

Indian Oil is taking this initiative further through ‘Unbottled’ – a brand for sustainable garments launched for merchandise made from recycled polyester. Under this brand, Indian Oil targets to meet the requirement of uniforms for the customer attendants of other Oil Marketing Companies, non-combat uniforms for the Army, uniforms/ dresses for Institutions & sales to retail customers.

At the COP26 summit in Glasgow in 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had committed to an ambitious five-part “Panchamrit” pledge, including reaching 500 GW of non-fossil electricity capacity, to generate half of all energy requirements from renewables, to reduce emissions by 1 billion tons by 2030.

India also aims to reduce the emissions intensity of GDP by 45 per cent. Finally, India commits to net-zero emissions by 2070.

Notably, India banned several single-use plastics starting July 2022.

Single-use plastics are typically items that are discarded after being used only once and do not go through the recycling process. (ANI)

No Scope Of Complacency, Take Budget To Masses: Modi Tells MPs

No Scope Of Complacency, Take Budget To Masses: Modi Tells MPs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday asked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs not to show any complacency and reach out to people on the ground.

Prime Minister Modi participated in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday. BJP national president JP Nadda felicitated Prime Minister on arriving for the meeting.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was also felicitated by Nadda for presenting the Union Budget 2023.

The weekly meeting of the BJP in the Parliament takes place every Tuesday when the House is in function.

Addressing fellow party MPs, PM Modi lauded his government’s effort to bring in a budget at a very difficult time, said sources.

He said the budget has something for every stratum of society. PM asked party MPs to take the budget to the people.

“It is a huge responsibility on behalf of the MPs to talk about the budget to their constituency and tell people what is in the budget for them and how this budget comes in at a time in the world is going through a major economic crisis,” sources said quoting PM Modi.

Prime Minister also asked BJP MPs to continue participating in various activities, including contests and sports to reach out to the youth and also to reach out to people in border district areas.

“Even if the BJP has been able to get a majority in 2014 and 2019 and public at large is happy with the efforts of the party. But, there is no scope for any complacency, and one must keep ear to the ground,” PM advised to party MPs.

The budget session of Parliament started on January 31 this year with the joint Address by President Droupadi Murmu. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Budget 2023-24 on February 1.

Since then there has been no business in Parliament because of the continued logjam over the Adani issue. The Opposition has demanded that the government should come up and respond in Parliament about the Adani stock issue following which disruption has been witnessed in both Houses.

Opposition parties are demanding a joint parliamentary committee probe into the allegations of stock manipulation against the Adani Group.

The opposition parties also held a meeting on Tuesday to “decide the day’s strategy” regarding their demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) into the Adani Issue.

However, the opposition parties are expected to end the deadlock in the Parliament today. After placing their demands, they can participate in the discussion on the President’s address, the final decision will be taken in the meeting of the opposition parties on Tuesday. (ANI)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the Helicopter Factory of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and unveils Light Utility Helicopter in Karnataka’s Tumakuru.

Defense minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai were also present on the occasion.
It is a dedicated new greenfield helicopter factory which will enhance the capacity and ecosystem to build helicopters.

Asia’s largest helicopter manufacturing facility, this helicopter factory will initially produce Light Utility Helicopters (LUH). LUH is an indigenously designed and developed 3-ton class, single-engine multipurpose utility helicopter with the unique feature of high manoeuvrability, informed the government on Saturday.

The factory will be expanded to manufacture other helicopters such as Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) and Indian Multirole Helicopter (IMRH) as well as for repair and overhaul of LCH, LUH, Civil ALH and IMRH in the future. The factory also has the potential for exporting the Civil LUHs in future.
