Check How Athiya Loves Wearing KL Rahul Clothes

If you are in love, won’t you share your significant other’s wardrobe?

Indian star cricketer KL Rahul and Suniel Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty are killing the ‘wardrobe sharing’ game for quite some time. Birthday, vacation, casual date…. whatever the occasion is, ‘IT’ couple never disappoints their fans to relish some drool-worthy PDA (Public Display of Affection) online.

If reports are to be believed, the couple is likely to tie the knot the next week. But there is no confirmation from them to date.

Meanwhile, let’s revisit their love-filled posts in which Athiya and Rahul had set some major couple goals.

In the first picture, Athiya posted a mirror selfie sporting a shirt, which could be found in Rahul’s Instagram posts too. Is it a mere coincidence? Not at all! The couple knows how to hog the limelight…

In the second picture, Athiya went subtle and suggestive. She didn’t post a full picture wearing Rahul’s shirt. She had tickled the fan’s fantasy by posting a suggestive snap, while her nail art of the same color told the entire story.

If you have an eye on your boyfriend’s jeans, won’t you share his jacket too? Athiya loves Rahul’s wardrobe and doesn’t miss any chance to grab the comfy clothes of the cricketer.

White seems to be the favorite color of the couple. Both Rahul and Athiya are often seen in white-colored shirts and tees. As they were twinning in the fourth picture, netizens loved the fun-filled frame.

Does anyone love to have ice cream? Athiya and Rahul are again sporting the same shirt and making us crave for a vacation…

Time will tell whether they will tie the knot…But they are surely one of the couples to watch out for… (ANI)

India Raised Vandalization Of Hindu Temples With Australian Govt

India Raised Vandalization Of Hindu Temples With Australian Govt

India condemned the vandalization of Hindu temples in Australia and said that the matter has been raised with the Australian government in Canberra and asked for expeditious investigation against the perpetrators.

Responding to a media query regarding the vandalization and graffiti being written on Hindu temples, Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, “We are actually aware of the couples of temples that have been vandalised in Australia. We condemn these incidents. If I remember correctly, both of them are actually near Melbourne in Victoria. We strongly condemn this action. These actions have been publicly condemned by Australian leaders, community leaders, and religious associations there.”
This statement came after the Shri Shiva Vishnu Temple in Australia’s Carrum Downs was vandalised with anti-Hindu graffiti on Monday.

He also said, “Our Consulate General in Australia has taken the matter with the local police. We have requested expeditious investigation action against the perpetrators and of course measures to prevent such incidents in future. The matter has also been taken up with the Australian Government, both in Canberra and New Delhi. And we are looking forward to the action that we have requested.”

The act came to notice on Monday, January 16 after temple devotees came for ‘darshan’ amid the three-day long “Thai Pongal” festival which is being celebrated by Australia’s Tamil Hindu community, The Australia Today reported.

Usha Senthilnathan a devotee of Shri Shiva Vishnu Temple told The Australia Today, “We are a Tamil minority group in Australia, a lot of us came as refugees to escape the religious persecution.”

On the evening of January 15 2023, Khalistan supporters tried to draw support for their referendum through a car rally in Melbourne. However, they failed miserably as less than two hundred people gathered out of an almost 60,000-strong Melbourne community, according to The Australia Today.

This came a week after the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Australia’s Mill Park was smeared with anti-India and anti-Hindu graffiti.

Patel, an onlooker who did not want to reveal his first name, shared how he witnessed the vandalized walls of the temple when he visited the site.

“When I reached the temple today morning all walls were colored with graffiti of Khalistani hatred towards Hindus,” The Australia Today quoted Patel as saying.

He added, “I am angry, scared, and dismayed by the blatant display of religious hatred towards the peaceful Hindu community by Khalistan supporters.” (ANI)

Tibetans Welcome UN Probes Into China’s Colonial Boarding Schools In Tibet

The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and Tibetans in exile have welcomed the UN human rights experts’ communication raising concern over the Chinese government’s colonial-style residential schools and its assimilationist impact on Tibetan cultural and national identity.

Four UN Special Rapporteurs voiced their concerns about China’s assimilationist policies threatening the existence of Tibet’s language, culture, and religion.
“…We would like to bring to the attention of your Excellency’s Government information we have received concerning what appears to amount to a policy of acculturation and assimilation of the Tibetan culture into the dominant Han Chinese majority, through a series of oppressive actions against Tibetan educational,

religious and linguistic institutions, in contradiction with the right to freedom of religion and belief, the right to education and cultural rights of the Tibetan people,” UN Special Rapporteurs wrote in a letter to then-Chinese foreign minister Wang Yi in November last year.

These UN experts raised serious concerns over China’s vast network of colonial boarding schools in Tibet while also asking several questions to China about its “policy of acculturation and assimilation of the Tibetan culture.

Human rights group estimate that nearly one million Tibetan children, ages ranging from 4 to 18, are currently forcibly enrolled and placed in Chinese boarding schools in Tibet away from their families, depriving them of the opportunity and the space to learn and acquaint themselves with their own religion, culture, and language.

Tenzin Lekshay, spokesperson of the Tibetan government-in-exile said there is a very systemic practice that China has been enclosing to assimilate Tibetan people and Tibetan culture under the framework of second-generation policy which intends to marginalize the Tibetan language and Tibetan culture.

“Therefore, the colonial boarding schools, there are a lot of reports coming out which says that over a million Tibetan children are put up in boarding schools where they were introduced Mandarin courses and they were taken away from the Tibetan language and Tibetan culture so it was being very restrictive and they were not allowed to go to their parents during vacations,” he added.

Lekshay said the Tibetan children are facing psychological and emotional traumas. And therefore, he said UN expert concerns are timely CTA welcomes concerns shown by the special Rapporteurs and we felt that China needs to consider the voice of the people.

Gompo Dhondup, president of the Tibetan Youth Congress also welcomed the United Nations’ interference and thier concern about the Chinese continued assimilation into mainland China.

“From the very beginning we urge the United Nations and international agencies to look after the systematic Chinese assimilation especially in the Chinese colonial education system so we showed our dissatisfaction and meanwhile we requested the international community to raise voices in support of Tibetans to call up so-called colonial boarding schools so now we highly welcome the support shown by the United Nations,” he said. Cong Has Launched “Bharat Todo Yatra”: Union Min Jitender Singh

BJP leader and Union minister Jitender Singh on Thursday termed the Bharat Jodo Yatra launched by the Congress as Bharat “Todo” Yatra.

Singh reminded that when the BJP started the Ekta Yatra led by Dr Murli Manohar Joshi in 1992 and hoisted the tricolour at Lal Chowk with Narendra Modi, the Congress-led collision opposed it and adopted the policy of “oppression.”
“BJP leaders like Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitely and Anant Kumar, were also not allowed to enter J&K and were arrested at Srinagar Airport,” Singh said.

He asked if it was possible to forget the whole episode. “At that time J&K ruling parties and Congress also adopted an oppression policy to demoralize the yatra,” he claimed.

In fact, the Congress’ Yatra is “Bharat Todo (break) Yatra, not Bharat Jodo yatra.” It was launched to “show affection to people whose politics is based on separatism,” he alleged.

Notably, Bharat Jodo Yatra will enter Jammu and Kashmir on January 19 where Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah Sanjay Raut, MY Tarigami, and Mehbooba Mufti will join the yatra at different locations.

Singh further alleged that the Congress failed to do what was required for the people of J&K. “PM Modi abrogated article 370 and made the J&K an integral part of India,” (ANI)

People Opposing Burqa Should Be “Paraded Naked”: Ex-SP MLA Zameer Ullah Khan

Reacting to an Uttar Pradesh college incident where students wearing burqa were stopped from entering the premises, former Samajwadi Party MLA Zameer Ullah Khan has said that “those who oppose burqa should be paraded naked to teach them a lesson”.

“There should be no ban on the burqa and whoever imposes the ban, first parade them naked. What is this new dress code? Make them roam around naked, then they will know what is to be exposed,” said the former Koil lawmaker on the Moradabad’s Hindu College incident.
He further said that if it is not a crime to remove burqa, then it is not a crime to go naked.

Following an October 2022 direction on dress code at the college, the authorities on Wednesday stopped several girl students in burqa from entering the premises, leading to widespread protests in the area, in which the SP leaders and workers also joined.

Regarding the ban on the burqa in Moradabad’s Hindu College, Khan said that it was absolutely wrong. If girls want to wear a burqa, there should be no ban on it and those who ban it should be paraded around naked.

The former MLA said that the burqa is a culture of India.

“In villages of India, even the voices of sisters and daughters are not heard, they are forced to stay behind veils,” he added.

Some students of the Hindu college in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad were denied entry to the college for wearing a burqa despite the prescribed uniform code for the students here.

The girls alleged that their college was not letting them enter the college campus wearing a burqa and were compelling them to remove it at the entrance gate.

A scuffle broke out between the students, the Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha workers, and the college professors who remained adamant about sticking to the prescribed rules.

Meanwhile, the college professor, Dr AP Singh said that they had implemented a dress code for the students here and anybody who refuses to follow it will be barred from entering the college campus.

To this, the members of Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha submitted a memorandum to include the burqa in the dress code for college and allow the girls to attend their classes wearing it. (ANI)

Shankar Mishra was arrested by Delhi police from Bengaluru on January 6, 2023.
Mishra had allegedly urinated on a 70-year-old woman in an intoxicated condition in business class of an Air India flight on November 26 last year.

Delhi Police had registered the First Information Report (FIR) against him on January 4 on a complaint given by the woman to Air India under sections 354, 509, and 510 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 23 of the Indian Aircraft Act. Both the accused and the victim are from outside Delhi.

“Propaganda Piece To Push Discredited Narrative”: BBC Documentary On Modi

India on Thursday denounced the controversial BBC documentary series on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and described it as a “propaganda piece” that is designed to push a discredited narrative.

Addressing a weekly media briefing External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi said this documentary show, based on some internal UK reports, shows the colonial mindset.
“We think this is a propaganda piece designed to push a particular discredited narrative. The bias and the lack of objectivity and frankly continuing colonial mindset are belatedly visible,” Bagchi said in response to the question on the PM documentary series.

UK’s National broadcaster BBC aired a two-part series attacking PM Narendra Modi’s tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister during the Gujarat riots of 2002. The documentary sparked outrage and was removed from select platforms.

Prominent Indian-origin UK citizens condemned the series. Prominent UK Citizen Lord Rami Ranger said the “BBC caused a great deal of hurt to over a billion Indians.”

The MEA spokesperson said the documentary is a reflection of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and individuals that are peddling this narrative again. He even raised questions on “the purpose of the exercise and the agenda behind it.”

“The documentary is a reflection of the agency and individuals that are peddling this narrative again. It makes us wonder about the purpose of the exercise and the agenda behind it; frankly, we do wish to dignify these efforts,” he added.

Referring to apparent remarks made by former UK Secretary Jack Straw in the documentary series, Bagchi said “He (Jack Straw) seems to be referring to some internal UK report. How do I have access to that? It’s a 20-year-old report. Why would we jump on it now? Just because Jack says it how do they lend it that much legitimacy.”

“I heard words like inquiry and investigations. There is a reason why we use the colonial mindset. We don’t use words loosely. What inquiry they were diplomats there…investigation, are they ruling the country? Bagchi asked. (ANI)

Brinda Karat Asked To Step Down From Stage During Wrestlers’ Protest Against WFI

Senior Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Brinda Karat who on Thursday arrived to express her solidarity and join the protest of wrestlers against the Wrestling Federation of India was asked to step down from the stage.

“Madam mike kisi ko nahi milega (we won’t give the mike to anybody),” said Olympian and 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medalist Bajrang Punia when he saw Karat and AIDWA Delhi President on the stage.
“Neeche uttar jayee (Please step down)… Request you to please step down from the stage and please do not make this into a political issue,” Punia who was addressing the wrestlers said after interrupting his speech.

He repeated the request a couple of times again.

Wrestlers have been sitting on a protest since yesterday against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and other officials alleging several grapplers have been sexually exploited for several years.

Karat accompanied by a colleague had arrived at the protest site to express her solidarity with the wrestlers.

Earlier in the day champion wrestler Babita Phogat who is now a part of the Haryana government had met the protesting wrestlers with a message from the Centre.

“I have assured them that the government is with them. I will try that their issues are resolved today,” Babita Phogat said after addressing the gathering.

Reacting to her remarks, Punia said, “Babita Phogat has come from the government’s side for mediation. We will speak with her and then give more details.”

He said that the wrestlers are fighting for their honor and right and added if they can fight for the country then they can also fight for their rights.

WFI President and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Charan Singh, however, has refuted charges of sexual exploitation leveled against him.

The protest began on Wednesday shortly after Commonwealth Games gold medallist Vinesh Phogat alleged that the WFI President and other officials had been sexually exploiting the wrestlers for years.

Other prominent wrestlers including Sakshee Malikkh are supporting Phogat and gathered for the protest.

“If we can fight for our country, then we can also fight for our rights. First of all, I thank all the players who have come here. And the statement that was given yesterday that only 3 per cent players are sitting here, but according to me all the players are here. You can imagine how strong the players are. And we raised our voice for our rights and are not going to bow down when we do not win,” Punia said.

“We wish that someday if any child comes in wrestling then he should not practice under some pressure,” Punia added.

Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal issued a notice to Delhi police and the Union Sports ministry on the matter.

The Union Sports Ministry had asked the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) to respond to the allegations made by the wrestlers within 72 years. (ANI)

Babita Meets Protesting Wrestlers In Delhi With ‘Message From Centre’

Champion wrestler and BJP leader Babita Phogat on Thursday arrived at the protest site at Jantar Mantar in Delhi where wrestlers continued their sit-in protest for the second day demanding action against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and other officials against alleged sexual exploitation of several athletes.

“I have assured them that the government is with them. I will try that their issues are resolved today,” Babita Phogat said after addressing the gathering.
Babita who is a deputy director in the Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Department and a former wrestler had earlier tweeted, “I stand with all my fellow players in this matter of wrestling. I assure all of you that I will work to raise this issue with the government at every level, and the future will be decided the way players feel right.”

Olympian and 2022 Commonwealth Games gold medalist Bajrang Punia said, “Babita Phogat has come from the government’s side for mediation. We will speak with her and then give more details.”

He said that the wrestlers are fighting for their honor and right and added if they can fight for the country then they can also fight for their rights.

Wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Sakshee Malikkh, Punia among others have been sitting in a silent protest at Jantar Mantar for the second day today.

“If we can fight for our country, then we can also fight for our rights. First of all, I thank all the players who have come here. And the statement that was given yesterday that only 3 percent players are sitting here, but according to me all the players are here. You can imagine how strong the players are. And we raised our voice for our rights and are not going to bow down when we do not win,” Punia said.

“We wish that someday if any child comes in wrestling then he should not practice under some pressure,” Punia added.

Notably, Vinesh Phogat had previously alleged that coaches who are favorites of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) misbehave with women and harass them. She also accused the wrestling federation chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexually harassing girls and calling her a ‘khota sikka’ after her defeat at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Vinesh, the first Indian woman wrestler to win gold in both Commonwealth and Asian Games, alleged, “Coaches are harassing women and some coaches, who are favorites of the Federation, misbehave with women coaches as well. They sexually harass girls. The WFI president has sexually harassed many girls.”

“After my defeat in the Tokyo Olympics, the WFI president called me a ‘khota sikka’. The Federation mentally tortured me. I would entertain thoughts of ending my life every day. If anything happens to any wrestler, the WFI president will be to blame,” she added.

On Wednesday, ace grappler Bajrang Punia and nearly a dozen wrestlers began their protest against the WFI at the Jantar Mantar in the national capital.

Also, shortly after Olympians and star wrestlers Sakshee Malikkh, Vinesh Phogat, and Bajrang Punia made sensational claims against WFI officials and coaches, accusing them of harassment, Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal issued a notice to Delhi police and the Union Sports ministry on the matter.

Punia took to Twitter and wrote, “The federation’s job is to support the players, take care of their sporting needs. If there is a problem, it has to be solved. But what to do if the federation itself creates the problem? Now we have to fight, we will not back down.”

India’s top wrestlers Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, Sangeeta Phogat, Sonam Malik, and Anshu were seen in a picture posted by Bajrang Punia on his Twitter account.

“Sportspersons work hard to win medals for the country, but the Federation has done nothing but let us down. Players are being harassed by imposing arbitrary laws,” Sakshee Malikkh tweeted.

The Wrestling Federation of India is headed by Brij Bushan Singh – a Lok Sabha MP from the country’s ruling BJP, as the President.

Singh on Wednesday said wrestlers, who made allegations of sexual harassment against coaches, should have approached the Federation with their names earlier.

The WFI president said that 97 percent of wrestlers are with the BFI and those protesting were pressured into it.

He claimed that star wrestler Vinesh Phogat had demanded a few days back that the chief coach should be changed, but coaches cannot be changed on the whims of a player. (ANI)
