Owaisi Condemns Deaths In Sambhal

Tipu Sultan Scared British Then, Now Their Slaves:Owaisi

All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Asaduddin Owaisi slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the renaming of the train connecting Bengaluru and Mysuru from Tipu Express to Wodeyar Express and said that they can never erase Tipu Sultan’s legacy.

Notably, the Railways has renamed Tipu Express, which plies between Mysuru and Bengaluru, as Wodeyar Express but AIMIM Chief while talking to ANI said that BJP could have started another train to be named after Wodeyar.
“BJP government renamed Tippu Express to Wodeyar Express. Tipu irks BJP just because he waged three wars against its British masters. But, BJP will never be able to erase Tipu’s legacy,” Owaisi tweeted.

Taking a dig at BJP, he said, “Tipu scared the British while alive and scares British slaves even now.”

“If you wanted to name a train after Tipu Sultan, then you should have started another train. Tipu was not one of those royals who sided with the British like some who betrayed the Rani of Jhansi and now their descendants are in ministerial positions,” Owaisi further said.

The AIMIM Chief further tweeted a portrait of Tipu, which he claimed was on the original illustrated copy of the Constitution of India.

Earlier today, Owaisi had claimed that the “dignity” of Muslims in India is lesser than a “streetside dog” while referring to the viral video in which police officials were seen flogging Muslim men publicly earlier this week.

“You could have taken them to the police station. But you chose to rip off their esteem and hit them directly on the streets. In a nation of 133 crores where 30 crores Muslims live, the dignity of a Muslim is lesser than a streetside dog,” he added.

“Every day there is more evidence of mass radicalization. Floggings and mob violence by cops have become common. Targeted violence against Muslims is treated as ‘justice’. This is the reality of Modi’s Vishwaguru/New India/5G/$5 Trillion Ton economy,” Owaisi wrote in a tweet.

He also reacted to RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat’s comments on a comprehensive population policy.

“Don’t fret. The Muslim population is not increasing. It’s rather falling… Who’s using condoms the most? We are. Mohan Bhagwat won’t speak on this,” Owaisi said.

On October 5, the RSS chief inaugurated the annual Dussehra celebrations and stressed the application of the population policy equally to ensure that the rising population do not become a burden but can be used as a resource. (ANI)

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday extended warm greetings on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad Un Nabi and expressed hope that this festival will be full of peace, joy, and good health for everybody.

“Greetings and best wishes on Eid-e-Milad. May the festival be full of peace, joy, and good health for all,” he tweeted.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi is celebrated annually to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad and is observed in the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic lunar calendar, which commences with the sighting of the moon. The occasion also marks the death anniversary of the Prophet.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his greetings to the nation on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.

“Best wishes on Milad-un-Nabi. May this occasion further the spirit of peace, togetherness, and compassion in our society. Eid Mubarak” tweeted PM Modi.

Earlier on Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended warm greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad Un Nabi and expressed hope that this festival will give new inspiration to enhance peace and harmony in the society.

In his congratulatory message to the people of the state, Chief Minister said, “This festival is celebrated on the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad. I hope that this festival will give new inspiration to increase peace and harmony in the society.”

Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi, also known as Mawlid or Eid-e-Milad, is celebrated with enthusiasm by Muslims across the world.

‘He Is Delusional…Kishor On Nitish’s Comment

Hitting back at Nitish Kumar, political strategist Prashant Kishor said on Sunday that the Bihar chief minister has become “delusional” and “politically isolated” and thus speaks things other than what he actually means.

He also said that Kumar’s age is affecting him and it reflects in his “nervousness”.
Kishor was reacting to the chief minister’s comment that the political strategist, who has recently launched a state-wide ‘padayatra’ to bring ‘Jan Suraj’ in Bihar, was “working for the BJP” after he claimed that Kumar had asked him to join his Janata Dal (United) party.

“He (Kumar) said I am working on BJP’s agenda and asked him to merge with Congress. How is it even possible? If I were supporting BJP, why would I ask him to strengthen Congress? If the second claim is correct, the first one gets wrong,” Kishor told ANI.

“He (Kumar) has been affected by his age and has turned delusional. He has been politically isolated as he is surrounded by people who he himself does not trust. And it is because of this nervousness he speaks other than what he means,” he added.

Of late, both Kishor and Kumar have shared allegations against each other.

On Saturday, the Bihar chief minister said Kishor, who has helped political parties win elections and influence people, is now making baseless claims. He added that a few years ago Kishor had advised him to merge his JD (U) with the Congress. On October 5, Kishor had said Kumar had invited him to his residence and offered him to join his party and lead it.

But Kishor has dropped enough hints that he aims to launch his own political party after the completion of his yatra. He has often said it was time for him “to go directly to the people.”

Kishor launched his ‘padayatra’ on October 2 from Bhitiharwa Gandhi Ashram. He has attacked all political parties that have ruled Bihar, saying the state has not changed since 1990. He said people here are bound to migrate to other states in search of employment.

Kishor has briefly served as the national president of the JD (U) but was later expelled from the party.

In an interview with ANI last month, the strategist had predicted that the current ruling alliance of seven parties (Mahagathbandhan) will not survive till the next assembly election.

In August, Nitish Kumar parted ways with the NDA and rejoined the RJD. (ANI)

The Gujarat government has said that it has ensured the sustainable implementation of various welfare projects in Gujarat, keeping in mind the Prime Minister’s vision of increasing the use of renewable energy in India.

A protected archaeological site, Modhera’s Sun Temple will get a 3-D projection facility on October 9. The solar-powered 3-D projection will be dedicated by PM Modi and will educate visitors about the history of Modhera, the Gujarat government had said.

Will Leave Punjab If No Arrests Made: Shehnaaz Gill’s Father

Singer-actor Shehnaaz Gill’s father Santokh Singh Sokhi Gill, who recently received a death threat, on Saturday said he will leave Punjab if no arrests are made.

Singh said that he has filed the police complaint after the threat call. He further alleged that the caller identifying himself as ‘Happy’ has threatened to kill him before Diwali.

“I reached the SSP of Amritsar Rural Police on Saturday to file a complaint,” he said.

“Today, we submitted a complaint to SSP Amritsar Rural. Yesterday I got a threat call from a person named Happy who threatened to kill me before Diwali. I think they want to target me because I am a Hindu leader,” said Santokh Singh.

Urging the police authorities to investigate into the matter, he said, ” If no arrests are made, I will soon be forced to leave Punjab and settle elsewhere.”

In this regard, Superintendent of police (SP) Jaswant Kaur assured, “The incident will be investigated and action will be taken.”

This is not the first time Santokh Singh has been threatened. Reportedly, in December 2021, after joining the Bhartiya Janta Party, he was attacked by two men. As per reports, he was sitting inside his car when two unidentified assailants arrived and shot at him.

His daughter Shehnaaz gained fame after her stint on Bigg Boss 13

Shehnaaz and Sidharth Shukla, popularly called ‘SidNaaz’ by fans, got close to each other when they were in the ‘Bigg Boss 13’ house, though they never officially acknowledged being a couple. Sidharth later won the reality show in 2020. (ANI)

Bharat Jodo Yatra

Congress To Fight Against Hate-Mongering: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held an interaction with the masses as the Bharat Jodo Yatra resumed from Mayasandra, Tumakuru in Karnataka on Saturday and said that the party believes in fighting against those who spread hatred.

He also highlighted the fact that the community of the person spreading hatred doesn’t matter.

“My view is that it doesn’t matter who the person spreading hatred is, it doesn’t matter which community they come from, spreading hatred and violence is an anti-national act and we’ll fight against such people,” said Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.

Stressing the integrity and unity in the country he said,” Our constitution states: Bharat is a union of states. It means all our languages, states and traditions have an equally important space. That is the nature of our country.”

The Congress leader also jibed at the opposition and said, ” I have always stood for a certain idea, that disturbs the BJP and RSS. Thousands of crores of media money and energy have been spent to shape me in a way that is untruthful and wrong. That will continue as that machine is financially rich and well-oiled.”

This was his third press interaction during the march.

The yatra is in its Karnataka leg and marked its 31st day today.

The march began at around 6. 40 am, informed veteran Congress leader Jairam Ramesh.

“Day 31 of #BharatJodoYatra started at around 640am. Today @RahulGandhi

will be having his third press interaction so far during the Yatra at Turuvekere at 1 pm. We have entered Tumkur district now,” tweeted Congress leader Jairam Ramesh.

The Congress veteran also outlined the party’s upcoming schedule during the yatra and informed that there will be polling booths during the march as over 40 PCC will be traveling along.

“40 PCC delegates are involved in the India Jodo Yatra. For these, polling booths will be set up at the campsite itself. Rahul Gandhi and other Bharat Jodo travelers will vote in this camp,” said Jairam Ramesh in a statement.

He also informed that the Bharat Jodo Yatra will have a grand rally on October 15 and will be halted on October 17 due to party presidential polls.

The party leader also underlined that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will celebrate Diwali in the camp and the march will be on hold due to Diwali.

Earlier on October 7, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi claimed that the teachers raised the issue of the Kannada language and culture being “under attack”.

He said that “our education system is under systematic attack from adverse ideological forces and that attack has reached now our curriculum.”

The Former Congress President said that he interacted with the teachers and students, who told him their concerns.

“I spoke to the teachers and students. The teachers said why government schools are being neglected. Why our culture, our ‘Kannada’ language is under attack? Why the glory of the history of Karnataka is being erased from textbooks Why our culture and history is being attacked and damaged?” Rahul said.

He said that the new NEP 2020 had been specially designed to undo everything that has been done in the past 75 years. He continued to add that Communalisation and Centralisation and Commercialisation were the only agendas behind these monumental changes effected by the State and Central Governments.

The Wayanad MP suspected that there were many deliberate and designed efforts to destabilize the education system and subvert the Constitution through these drastic measures.

The MP from Wayanad is currently leading Bharat Jodo Yatra- the 3,500-km march from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, covering as many as 12 states. The Yatra started from Kanyakumari and will end in Kashmir the next year by covering 25 km every day.

According to Congress, the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ is being held to combat the divisive politics of the BJP-led Centre and to awaken the people of the country to the dangers of economic inequalities, social polarisation, and political centralization.

Notably, all the party MPs, leaders, and workers along with Rahul Gandhi are staying in containers. Sleeping beds, toilets, and ACs are also installed in some of the containers. During the journey, the temperature and environment will differ in many areas.

The Congress suffered a debacle in the assembly polls held earlier this year and the Yatra is seen as an attempt to rally the party rank and file for the upcoming electoral battles. (ANI)

Will Remove AFSPA From N-East After Ensuring Peace: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government would remove Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) only after installing peace in northeast India.

“Rahul Gandhi gave Congress an agenda to remove AFSPA from the northeast if they came to power (in 2019), for the sake of appeasement. When it was asked of me, I said we will first bring peace in the northeast and then only will remove AFSPA, which would not happen just for appeasement,” Amit Shah said addressing a public gathering at the inauguration of the newly built BJP office– Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan in Guwahati, which is spread over 95,000 square feet and is the party’s biggest office in the northeastern region, expected to be full of all modern amenities.

The Ministry of Home Affairs recently extended the AFSPA, an act that empowers the armed forces to maintain public order in “disturbed areas,” in some parts of the northeast for another six months.

In an order on October 1, the AFSPA was extended in certain regions of Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. However, the act was extended in Assam for six months on February 28, 2022, and on December 1, 2021, in Manipur.

This is the home minister’s first visit to the region after the extension of the act.

Addressing the public, Shah asserted that the party office for the BJP is a temple and not just a house of bricks and stone.

“For a BJP worker, the office is not a building, the office is a bundle of emotions. Here the work is outlined, this is where the plans for the development of the entire northeast India and Assam of the BJP are made,” Shah said while highlighting the all-around development in the region.

Expressing his contentment over the development of Assam and the northeast, Amit Shah asserted that the party’s consecutive rule in the region has ensured an “all-round development”.

“During my Vidyarthi Parishad days, we had never imagined if we would make a government on our own in Assam, but today, the consecutive rule of BJP in the state has been ensuring all-round development,” he said underscoring that instead of arriving in Assam as Home Minister this time, Shah said he has come as a BJP worker.

“I am very happy today that in the short span of 2014 to 2022, the entire North East and our Assam has started on the path of development today. It is a matter of good fortune for a worker like me that the development of both North East and BJP (here in North East) are going hand-in-hand,” he added.

He further attacked Congress for making the peaceful land of Assam turn divisive.

“People were always worried that if Assam doesn’t get inclusive growth, it would be a big problem for North East. The underlying reason was Congress, which always was keen to make the pious and peaceful land of Assam, a divisive one,” Shah added while alleging that the Congress-led UPA government had made the “great land of Assam a land of disintegration, of terrorism, of strikes, of agitations”.

He said that it is the resolution of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government to bring Northeast to the mainstream for its development as is evident that the BJP leader (Shah and national president JP Nadda) visit each state of the seven sisters every fortnight, even if they come for one night. Gauri Lankesh

Family Of Gauri Lankesh Joins Rahul For Bharat Jodo Yatra

Family members of journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh, who was murdered in 2017, joined Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi on Friday.

Indira Lankesh and Kavitha Lankesh – mother and sister of journalist walked with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as they participated in the party’s march.
Senior journalist and activist Gauri Lankesh was shot dead at her residence in Bengaluru’s Rajarajeshwari Naga on September 5, 2017.

Lankesh was the editor of the Gauri Lankesh Patrike, a magazine described as an ‘anti-establishment’ publication.

In November 2016, she was convicted of defamation and was sentenced to six months in jail, after she ran a piece in 2008 that Prahlad Joshi, a BJP MP from Dharwad, and Umesh Dushi, also of the BJP, found objectionable. However, the court also granted her bail and allowed her to appeal to a higher court.

Meanwhile, taking to Twitter, Rahul Gandhi shared a picture of the march with Gauri Lankesh’s mother and sister and said that he stands with Gauri Lankesh and countless others like her, who represent the true spirit of India.

“Gauri stood for Truth. Gauri stood for Courage. Gauri stood for Freedom. I stand for Gauri Lankesh and countless others like her, who represent the true spirit of India. Bharat Jodo Yatra is their voice. It can never be silenced,” he tweeted.

As the Bharat Jodo Yatra entered its 30th day on Friday, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and party workers resumed the padayatra from K Malenahalli in Mandya in Karnataka.

The padayatra will be concluded today at Adhichunchanagiri Matha Stadium.

On Thursday Sonia Gandhi joined the Party Padyatra in the Mandya district of Karnataka.

“We’ve sailed through storms in the past. Today, too, we will break the limits of all challenges and will together unite India,” Rahul tweeted and posted a photograph of him walking with his mother, his arm around her.

Rahul Gandhi is currently leading Bharat Jodo Yatra- the 3,500-km march from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, covering as many as 12 states. The Padyatra (march) will cover a distance of 25 km every day.

The Padyatra (march) is covering a distance of 25 km every day. The march was aimed to cover as many as 12 states in five months. It will be in Karnataka for 21 days before moving north.

The arrangements have been made keeping in view the intense heat and humidity with the change of places.

Girl Set Ablaze In Dumka For Spurning Marriage Proposal

The Jharkhand Police on Friday arrested a person for setting ablaze a girl after she refused to marry him.

The girl has been referred to a Ranchi hospital.
According to the police, the accused, Rajesh Raut, was known to the 19-year-old girl and was already married.

“So far, it has been revealed that the girl was attacked while she was asleep by a man known to her. She has been referred to Ranchi. The accused is already married and wanted to marry the victim. The parents (of the girl) were not ready for the marriage,” said Shivinder, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jarmundi.

DSP Shivender also said that the accused was seen running from the crime spot after committing the offense on Thursday night.

Reacting to the incident, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Pratul Shadeo on Friday took a strong jibe and said there is a “total collapse of law and order machinery in Jharkhand”.

He connected the case with that of a class 12 girl, Ankita, who was also burnt alive while sleeping for turning down a proposal in Dumka.

Ankita was set ablaze on August 23 and succumbed to her injuries on August 28 during her treatment at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS).

The BJP leader said, “Fear of law has totally gone away from the miscreants and the people with the dubious mind. It is yet another incident when another daughter has been burnt alive just because she refused the marriage. Where is the fear of the law?

He said that the incident is “very very shocking”.

“We believe that the government is totally indulged in corruption and the law and order is not its priority in a state where within 34 months, more than 5,000 rape cases have taken place and there is only 1 percent which has been convicted,” he said adding that these things are going to happen.

“The girl has 90 percent burns over her body and should be immediately airlifted and the Chief Minister should come heavily on the District officials.

He further alleged that the government is not focussing on law and order in the state.

Shadeo further added that the accused was also threatening the girl saying “I will burn you alive like Ankita”.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MP Vijay Hansda while assuring a thorough investigation into the matter said that there are some incidents and people who are of “criminal tendency” and the police administration will leave no stone unturned in the matter.

“In previous incidents as well, the way the administration has worked effectively at the places wherever such incidents are taking place,” JMM MP Hansda said.

He further condemned the incident by stating that there is a need for social consciousness against people with “such ideologies so that they step back.”

“If a wrong incident takes place, it should be strongly condemned. However, I don’t want to go to petty politics by bringing out the stats,” he said.

Meanwhile, JMM MLA Sudivya Kumar said that he has “just been” informed about the incident and will provide every possible assistance to the victim.

Congress’ spokesperson Rakesh Sinha on Friday also reacted on the matter and said that incident is completely condemnable and such incidents require the culprit to be punished by both the law and society and they should be boycotted with their families so that an environment of concern and fear in people’s mind develops.

“It is thought-provoking where the society is heading as they are setting ablaze people over every next issue. Such culprits should be hanged and society should also come forward to punish them,” Rakesh Sinha said.

Talking politically, Sinha further said, “It is a matter of fun if BJP comments over the law and order situation of another party.”

‘Instead of politicizing such incidents, I believe even the BJP should think how to combat such incidents of heinous crimes,” he said. (ANI)

9 Members Team Set For Monitoring Cheetahs In Kuno National Park

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has constituted a nine-member task force for monitoring cheetah introduction in Kuno National Park, Madhya Pradesh, and other suitable designated areas said the officials on Friday.
The committee members will focus on reviewing the progress and monitoring the health status of these Cheetahs.

“Upkeep of the soft release enclosures and protection status of the entire area. Adherence to the forest and veterinary officials’ protocols, advice on Cheetah introduction in India to Madhya Pradesh forest department and NTCA on status of Cheetah with respect to overall health, behavior, and upkeep,” read an official statement.

The members of the committee will include the Principal Secretary (Forests), Madhya Pradesh – Member, Principal Secretary (Tourism), Madhya Pradesh – Member, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Madhya Pradesh – Member, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden.

Retired Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden, Madhya Pradesh – Member, Alok Kumar, Dr Amit Mallick, Inspector General, NTCA, New Delhi – Member. Dr. Vishnu Priya, Scientist, Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun – Member, Abhilash Khandekar, Member MP SBWL, Bhopal, Subhoranjan Sen, APCCF- Wildlife – Member Convener are also part of the committee.

The committee’s officials will also monitor the hunting skills and adaptations of these Cheetahs.

“Monitor release of Cheetah, the opening of the Cheetah habitat for eco-tourism. Suggest and advice on the development of tourism infrastructure in fringe areas, regularly interact with Cheetah Mitras….,” added the statement.

Earlier on September 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that based on the recommendation of the task force set up to observe cheetahs in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park, it will be decided when people will be able to see the animals.

“Friends, a task force has been formed. This task force will monitor the cheetahs and see how much they have been able to adapt to the environment here. On this basis, a decision will be taken after a few months and then you will be able to see the cheetahs,” said PM Modi in the 93rd episode of his monthly radio broadcast ‘Mann Ki Baat’.

He exclaimed that people from all corners of the country have expressed happiness over the return of cheetahs to India.

“130 crore Indians are happy, full of pride; this is India’s love for nature,” PM stated.

Modi further stated that a common question was posed by people when will they get an opportunity to see the wild animals from Namibia?

PM Modi invited ideas from the people about what should be the names of the campaign and the cheetahs.

He further said, “But till then I am assigning some work to all of you. For this, a competition will be organized on the MyGov platform, in which I urge people to share certain things. What should be the name of the campaign we are running on cheetahs? Can we even think of naming all these cheetahs…. by what name should each of them be called? By the way, if this naming is of traditional nature, then it will be very nice since, anything related to our society and culture, tradition, and heritage, draws us easily.”

PM Modi also said that climate change is a major threat to marine ecosystems and that the litter on beaches is disturbing.

“It becomes our responsibility to make serious and continuous efforts to tackle these challenges,” he said.

The cheetahs were declared extinct from India in 1952 but on September 17 this year, eight cheetahs (5 females and 3 males) were brought from Namibia under ‘Project Cheetah’ as part of the government’s efforts to revitalize and diversify the country’s wildlife and habitat. (ANI)
