Yogi To Inspect Flats Built On Land Confiscated From Atiq

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will on June 30 inspect flats built on land confiscated from slain gangster Atiq Ahmed.

According to sources, the CM will also be handing over the flat keys to beneficiaries on Friday.

Preparations have been underway for the last 10 days ahead of CM’s visit, said Mukesh Kumar, one of the workers doing wall designs for the occasion.

“Most of the work is complete. CM Yogi ji will be coming tomorrow. We have been working for the last 10 days. Only the finishing works are remaining”, he said.

Dinesh, one of the residents of the area, said that everyone in the area anticipates the event.

“Everyone is excited and happy. We all are going to be benefitted by this project. The works here are almost complete, preparations to welcome the CM are now going on. Also, the cleaning works of the flats is underway”, Dinesh said.

As many as 76 flats built for the poor, on land confiscated from slain gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj were allotted through a lottery on June 9.

“The lottery was drawn for allotment in the auditorium of Allahabad Medical Association. After verification of 6030 applicants, 1590 were found eligible to participate in the lottery,” Arvind Kumar Chauhan Vice Chairman of Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) said.

Beneficiaries will get a flat built on 41 square metres for only Rs 3.5 lakh. Officials said that a flat with two rooms, a kitchen, and toilet facilities costs Rs 6 lakh.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had on December 26, 2021, laid the foundation stone for this affordable housing project on 1731 square meters of land after it was freed from the possession of Atiq in the Lukerganj area of Prayagraj.

This project has been taken up by the District Urban Development Authorities (DUDA) under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), and as many as 76 flats have been built in two blocks, officials said.

Atiq Ahmed was accused in the 2005 murder of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Raju Pal and also in the killing of a key witness in that case, Umesh Pal, in February this year.

Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf Ahmed were shot dead by men posing as journalists on April 15 night this year, while they were being taken for a medical examination in Prayagraj. (ANI)

Balasaheb Thackera Uddhav

Will Call Uddhav To Clarify My Stand: Maharashtra Min

Days after stoking controversy in the State with his remarks that Balasaheb Thackeray and Shiv Sainiks had no role in Babri Masjid demolition on December 6 1992, Maharashtra minister and senior BJP leader Chandrakant Patil on Tuesday said that he will ring up Uddhav Thackeray to clarify his stand.

The remarks of Patil, minister of higher and technical education in the Eknath Shinde government, came hours after former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray demanded the resignation of CM Shinde and sought the ouster of Patil, for making derogatory remarks against his father Balasaheb Thackeray.
“I will be calling Uddhav Thackeray to clarify my stand over this issue. I have full respect for Balasaheb Thackeray in my heart and I can not disrespect him. No one can forget his contribution to saving Hindus during the Mumbai riots (in 1993),” Patil said during a press briefing here on Tuesday.

“Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde also called me up today morning and asked me to take a press conference to clarify my stand,” Patil said.

He said that those who were involved in the struggle were Hindus and they cannot be segregated as Shiv Sena workers or BJP men.

“The struggle for the Babri Masjid demolition was led by Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), and everyone was working under their banner, so there was nothing like Shiv Sena, BJP or any other organisation. Everyone (present there while the mosque was being brought down) was a Hindu,” he said.

“My question was where was Sanjay Raut during demolition and that question still remains the same today,” he added.

The former Maharashtra BJP chief, while speaking to a regional news channel recently, said that Balasaheb Thackeray and Shiv Sena had no role in the Babri Masjid demolition on December 6 1992.

His remarks drew ire from the Shiv Sena (UBT) who demanded the minister’s resignation.

However, on Monday, after Patil was asked about his remarks, he reiterated that the world knows that VHP and its sub wings Durga Vahini, and Bajrang Dal were leading the fight against the disputed structure. (ANI)

Yogi Adityanath

UP To Become Torchbearer Of Industrial Revolution 4.O: Yogi

The investment proposals worth Rs 35 lakh crore received in the Global Investors Summit prove that Uttar Pradesh will emerge as the ‘torchbearer’ of the Industrial Revolution 4.O, said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday.

While addressing an award ceremony as well as toolkit distribution ceremony under Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi said, “The focal point of UP’s industrial development are the 96 lakh MSME clusters. The time has come that now we have to open designing and packaging institutes in the state to take MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) products to a new level.”
He said there is a need to link banks with the Vishwakarma Shram Yojana, so that our artisans can get financial help to expand their business. For this, meetings of artisans associated with Vishwakarma Shram Yojana should be organized with bankers in every district of the state.

Highlighting on ‘One District-One Product’ (ODOP), CM Yogi said, “Today, ODOP is not only promoting the products of every district of the state, but adding them with new design and technology, is also providing global market for them. ODOP has become the back bone of the MSME sector of UP. It has emerged as the foundation of self-reliant India in the whole country.”

He reiterated that ODOP has brought respect to the handicraftsmen of UP at the global level. This is the reason that UP has emerged as the hub of exports today. Before 2017, exports were just Rs 86,000 crores, which have now gone up to Rs 2.5 lakh crore.

The Chief Minister said that it is the strength of ODOP that UP emerged as the biggest investment destination today. “Undoubtedly, the rule of law is our first priority, it is also necessary for the government to work with good intentions, but along with all this, having a cluster of 96 lakh MSMEs is also the strength of UP,” he said.

Yogi noted that MSME itself is going to become the foundation of the industrial development of UP. The Global Investors Summit has decided that UP will lead the fourth industrial revolution.

In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister said 2.5 to 3 lakh families are associated only with the work of weaving. The government is soon going to announce freight units for weavers’ looms, he said. (ANI)

Uddhav Responsible For The Shiv Sena Crisis: Athawale

Uddhav Responsible For The Shiv Sena Crisis: Athawale

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale said that former state chief minister Uddhav Thackeray is responsible for the problems in the Shiv Sena.

Addressing a press meeting here on Saturday, the Union Minister said, “For the problems in Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray is responsible. Because 2019’s mandate was that the government should be of BJP and Shiv Sena. But Uddhav Thackeray has left the alliance with BJP and joined hands with Congress and NCP. Therefore, problems occurred. Otherwise, if Uddhav Thackeray could be with the BJP, then there could be no dispute between Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde.”

He further said that the Eknath Shinde’s government is a very strong government and they are taking important decisions.

Speaking on the Congress’ plenary session, Athawale said, “I respect Sonia Gandhi. But Rahul Gandhi is not a very strong man. He can’t lead the party. That’s why he resigned from the Congress presidentship after the defeat. Smriti Irani defeated Rahul Gandhi in Amethi. Comparing Rahul Gandhi to Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi can’t defeat Narendra Modi.”

Athawale exuded confidence that the BJP-led NDA will come to power again as there is no Opposition.

“There is no opposition. On one side there is Narendra Modi and another side all leaders, CPIM, CPI, Aam Aadmi Party, Congress, Mamata’s party, Nitish Kumar’s party, and NCP. There is no problem from coming again into the power for BJP and the NDA,” he said.

He further said that people would choose the leadership of Narendra Modi as people are not ready to support opposition parties.

“Opposition is not united. If they are united, Narendra Modi will take more benefits. People will choose the leadership of Narendra Modi,” he added. (ANI)

Yogi Thrashes Samajwadi Party Over Ramcharitmanas Row

Yogi Thrashes Samajwadi Party Over Ramcharitmanas Row

Retorting to the Ramcharitmanas row in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday launched attack on the Samajwadi party saying what would have happened if religious scriptures of other religions and faith were insulted.

Yogi accused the party of attempting to “insult” the Hindu community in India and across the world, and also of manufacturing the controversy during the Global Investors Summit which concluded in Lucknow earlier this month.
“The moment Global Investors Summit was about to begin, the Samajwadi Party started the Ramcharitmanas row about Tulsi Das ji. Some people tried to tear Ramcharitmanas. What would have happened if the same thing would have happened with some other religion? Does it mean whoever wants to insult Hindus, can do it? You want to insult the entire (Hindu) community,” he said during his Address in the ongoing Budget Session.

The Chief Minister read out the lines of the Hindu scripture and explained the meaning of the words.

“Shudra means labour class. Ambedkar ji has also said not to call Dalit community shudra. Your behaviour towards Ambedkar is well known to the world. The names of the organisations under his name were changed. Nari means women. Are you not insulting the Hindus living in India and the world by burning the Ramcharitmanas?” he asked.

Yogi’s remarks came after Samajwadi Party leader Swamy Prasad Maurya’s sparked a major controversy as he demanded the deletion of “insulting comments and sarcasm” targeted at particular castes and sects in Ramcharitmanas, a poem based on the epic Ramayana.

Maurya had claimed that in the Ramcharitmanas, which was composed by Tulsidas, there are words hurting the sentiments of the Dalit community.

On January 30, Maurya has also taken a jibe at Mahant Raju Das by stating that he could have just cursed him instead of spending Rs 21 lakh to get him killed.

Maurya had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding an amendment and ban on parts of the epic which he claimed are disrespectful to women and Dalits.

“For revising/banning some of the objectionable parts of some couplets of Ramcharitmanas in which all women, tribals, Dalits and backward people have to be insulted on a daily basis at the social, and religious level and to give respect to the victim class, a letter has been sent to President and Prime Minister,” Maurya had tweeted in Hindi.
