Ayushmann Celebrates Wife’s B’day In Dhaba Style

Our ‘Bollywood husbands’ always amaze their fans with their innovative birthday posts for their wives. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana wished his wife Tahira Kashyap a ‘happy birthday’ in his signature poetic style on Saturday.

Ayushmann took to Instagram to treat his fans with the celebration pictures. He captioned the frames, “Birthday ka matlab hota hai ki manji daal ke highway ke dhaabe pe so jao.”

In one of the frames, Tahira is seen exactly translating Ayushmann’s words into action. The birthday girl also took a selfie with her husband, in which both look sleepy. The couple seemed to enjoy good music as well, as the video of a performing artiste featured in the actor’s post.

Fans rushed to the comment section of the ‘Anek’ actor and showered their love.

“An artist Appreciating Another artist is the best thing you can see on the internet”, wrote a fan.

Ayushmann Wife's B'day

Aayushmann and Tahira have been married for fifteen years. They are proud parents to lovely kids, Virajveer and Varushka. Tahira is a breast cancer survivor. Having recovered, Tahira spreads awareness of this critical illness through social media. She has also ventured into the direction as well.

After witnessing a meteoric rise a few years back, the ‘Andhadhun’ actor saw a dull patch on the work front last year. ‘Anek’, and ‘Doctor G’ tanked at the box office, whereas, ‘An Action Hero’ received a mixed response from the audience. Aayushmann will return to the big screen with the sequel of his hit comedy, ‘Dream Girl.’ He is paired with Ananya Panday this time. (ANI)

Imran Khan on Civil Govts

‘Establishment’ Has Power, Civil Govts Get Blame: Imran Khan

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that a democratic government in the country is held responsible for any crisis, but the authority lies with the military establishment.

“Such an arrangement cannot run anymore,” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief warned while addressing the ‘Rule of Law conference, held on Friday, according to The News International newspaper.

Khan blamed former Pakistan army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, stating that the uncertainty started the day his government was overthrown.

“Due to the decision of one person, the PTI-led government was toppled and the crisis started,” the former Pak prime minister said.

The PTI chief was ousted from power through a no-confidence vote in the National Assembly in April 2022. He has blamed a US-led conspiracy for his ouster.

In an apparent reference to former army chief Bajwa, Khan said: “One person decided to change the (PTI) government and hatched a conspiracy.”

He added that the coalition government had failed to tackle the economic crisis as “it does not have any plan” to restore the economy.

Khan said that never in the country’s history had Pakistan faced a worse economic crisis than the one it “faces these days”.

Earlier this week, Khan alleged that the federal government is determined to drive him out of politics. He even claimed that the coalition government is trying its best to disqualify him ahead of the general elections.

Referring to cases registered against him across the country, Khan said Thursday that fervent “efforts are being made to disqualify me from politics,” in an interview with the UK broadcaster.

Khan said, “they are trying their best” to disqualify him ahead of the general elections in the country, adding that “new cases are being registered” against him every other day.

However, he said there is absolutely no case that can disqualify him. (ANI)

Nora Fatehi Was Always Jealous Of Jacqueline: Conman Sukesh

In a recent development, where Economic Offences Wings of Delhi Police has filed a supplementary chargesheet in connection with the Rs 200 crore extortion case, alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar on Saturday claimed that Bollywood actor Nora Fatehi has always been jealous of Jacqueline Fernandez.

Sukesh in a press statement issued through his lawyers Anant Malik and AK Singh stated that Nora Fatehi always brainwashed him against Jacqueline, so she wanted him to leave Jacqueline and start dating her. “Nora used to try calling me at least 10 times a day and if I don’t answer the call she used to keep on calling me,” Sukesh claimed.

“As I and Jacqueline were in a serious relationship, I started avoiding Nora, but she kept irritating me by calling and also, asking me to help bobby (Nora’s relative) in setting up a music production company which I did. She also kept sending me multiple pictures of Hermes bags and jewellery that she wanted, which I obliged by giving her, which she was using till date, ask her to produce one bill of Hermes bags that she has, she can never produce as she does not have, as the bags are worth more than Rs 2 crores, claims Sukesh

He also stated that Nora first gives a different statement before ED u/s 50 PMLA which is admissible in court and also is evidence, later, now before EOW and a magistrate, the entire statement is changed and new stories are made by her, and the same can be very well be verified and compared with the charge sheet of ED and now the EOW. This clearly shows how Nora is being manipulated and afterthoughts and ideas are implemented by her only with a mala fide mind of hers.

Nora Fatehi Jealous Of Jacqueline

He also stated that actors and models Nikki Tamboli and Chahat Khanna, with these women in my association, were only professional as they were supposed to act in my production under the LS film banner.

“I had no romantic association as news alleged by them, as their statement before the Enforcement Directorate, nine months ago was completely different which can be seen by media to certain if I am lying. So this new statement given by them before EOW is only to save their skin and to grab publicity in the media, I have no fear to agree with the truth, but this new story is very funny after 9 months, I appeal to the media to verify the ED charge sheet statement and now new EOW charge sheet statement which will clearly show how these two Nikki and Chahath are lying,” he said.

Sukesh also stated that “I have to this very min maintained dignity and respect for all those women and I don’t want to stop down to this cheap level of putting out all the chats, and screenshots in the open which would expose the truth in open, and which will assassinate their characters, but if this circus goes on then I have face to show, as they know, what all they have spoken or have had knowledge about.

“The statement given by the so-called witness actresses in the supplement chargesheet filed by the EOW, I am sure everyone has perceptions after reading the statements published on media, but, I would also mention a few things in my press statement here which will show how the so-called witness actress have lied and abused the process of law,” Sukesh said in a press statement issued on Saturday. ‘If Covid Rebounds, Govt Must Ensure Uniform Treatment For All’

PU Vinod Sharma, a travel agent based in Ghaziabad, recalls how he was refused bed by a big private hospital despite his critical condition but treated with care at a Govt-run facility

There has been news reports about the possibility of Covid-19 making a comeback in the form of a new variant. The mere mention of Covid-19 wave reminds me of the ordeal I faced during the deadly Delta wave in the summer of 2021. I can still rewind the terrible memories, the shock of it all, and the trauma.

After contacting the virus, when my oxygen level was dropping fast, I was rushed to one of the chains of a famous and flourishing private hospital near Delhi-Ghaziabad border. Most of the time, I was not even aware of what was going on. For 12 hours, I waited for a bed before being told to look for the treatment elsewhere. Though I was given an O2 cylinder, the oxymeter showed my oxygen levels to be between 40 and 50.

I was in a critical state. It was traumatic for my wife who was alone with me at that time of the night, with no clue where to take me; desperate and helpless, she rushed me from this hospital to that, all in vain. I presume thousands of other citizens were facing a similar nightmare, struck by the virus, even while everything seemed to be collapsing in the health care system.

A friend advised that I try the Delhi Government-run Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital nearby. My family rushed there while I was gasping for breath, almost unconscious. I was lucky to get a bed, and, perhaps, the best medical treatment I could get in those chaotic times.

Family selfie time for PU Vinod

Despite the tremendous pressure, 24X7, including the fear of an infection, the doctors, nurses and other staff worked overtime with the patients, tirelessly. I was given oxygen and full medical treatment – free of cost. After a few days I realized that they have saved my life from the brink of death, even while a big private hospital unethically told me to leave at midnight and fend for myself.

The sanitation was of high standards despite the rush of patients crowding in; the toilets were reasonably clean, given the circumstances. Three wholesome meals were provided. There was always medical assistance close by. We could talk on phone or make video phone calls to our family members and friends, if need be. Food and other things could be provided to the staff by the families to be delivered to the patients – if needed.

This was a much better arrangement and the patients felt reassured both by the medical staff, as much as by the presence of family members and well-wishers – even if it be through a video call. This was unlike many private hospitals where patients were isolated and quarantined, not able to communicate with their families. They were also not being told about their medical status, leaving them in confusion and fear. In one hall of a private hospital there were 15 patients (I did not get a bed and was waiting) with only two nurses, who were overworked and tired.

I would strongly recommend the following in the case of another pandemic emergency — there should be no discrimination towards patients across their economic and social status. In the previous wave, some rich and powerful were able to, reportedly, ‘book’ beds in advance; the appropriation of hospital space with money power even while others might be of greater need of critical care. Indeed, there should be no paucity of beds in the first instance, but the influential just cannot buy of beds and critical care. Besides, all private hospitals, including those who were charging high amounts, should be held accountable by law.

Second, the treatment I got during such an emergency situation in a Delhi-government-run hospital, which did its best under many constrains, should be fine-tuned and implemented across the entire hospital system. That should be the finest model of critical healthcare applied across the country, and not only in big cities like Delhi. Indeed, once again, I take this opportunity to thank the brave and dedicated medical team of Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital in Delhi, with the deepest feelings of gratitude and respect.

Yamuna Panel Meeting

Delhi L-G Hold Yamuna Panel Meeting, Drafts 6-month Plan

The NGT-constituted high-level committee for Yamuna rejuvenation, headed by Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, has finalised a time-bound action plan of eight parameters, with monthly targets till June.

The parameters include augmenting sewage treatment, sewage treatment plants (STPs), tapping and cleaning of drains, sewage network in unauthorised colonies and JJ clusters, septage management, minimum environmental flow, upgradation of 13 CETPs for treatment and management of industrial effluent and restoration of floodplains.

The first meeting of the high-level committee was chaired by the Delhi L-G on Friday.

“After taking stock of the prevalent situation of water quality in the river Yamuna and the various drains in the city, along with the status of Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) and Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETPs) in the city and dwelling upon the gaps in the actions taken till now, the meeting deliberated upon a concrete future plan of action,” an official statement from the L-G office said.

The committee has been asked to submit its first report by January 31.

“A six-month plan of action till June 2023, with monthly targets, was decided upon. The same will be monitored on a weekly basis and the first report to the NGT will be submitted on January 31,” the statement further said.

Addressing the officers, Saxena cautioned the officers against shifting goalposts.

“The task at hand is difficult due to legacy neglect, but yet achievable. Ensure implementation of the decisions taken today in a mission mode, without extending committed timelines. Any shortcoming on part of officials will not be accepted,” Delhi L-G said.

The committee was constituted by the National Green Tribunal on January 9 for the rejuvenation of the Yamuna following the Supreme Court order.

NGT in its order said that the committee was formed to oversee the implementation of its orders with regard to cleaning the Yamuna and requested Delhi L-G VK Saxena to head the committee.

The bench had observed, “It does appear that the situation to a great extent remains unsatisfactory, in violation of the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and orders of this Tribunal, fixing rigid timelines which are being defied at whims, without accountability and without visible improvement in the ground situation. Thus, an effective execution regime appears to be necessary with the involvement of topmost administrative authorities with the flexibility of procedures for the award of works for execution of pollution prevention projects.” (ANI)
